I've been thinking about this Bluesky post from Kodaka for a while because if you think about it, it's kind of another Makoto and Nagito parallel.

The way that Kodaka describes Makoto's luck here makes it sound like he suffers for the sake of the world, which is similar to how Nagito views himself and having to put himself down to uplift the other Ultimates.

Or maybe I'm just crazy and reading too deep into it, who knows. I just it was a neat inclusion next to the million other intentional parrelels between the two. Interpret however you wish ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
