It's been 6 years since the final episode of Banana Fish aired. To "celebrate" I rewatched it and I couldn't stop sobbing, even though I know what's about to happen.

But, Yoshida didn't know it back then yet. At the very end, the library was chosen to be the place where Ash dies.

"I wonder why. He could have died in the crowd as well. Maybe it just happened that way. But the library is the place Ash always went to when he wanted to be alone. It's the place where he could let his guard down."

This is the first time Yoshida goes inside the library. Her reaction:

"Oh no, just what did I draw. I didn't know the ceiling of the Main Reading Room was so high".

Hey everyone, having a bit of artist block and am trying to choose a fandom to do more art/comics of for fun and I can’t decide. So, I figured I’d let you all tell me which one of these you want me to do more of. I know Banana Fish is new to my content entirely, but it’s honestly one of my favorite anime/Manga…despite it breaking my heart.😅 everyone who loves any of these, please vote! early banana fish volumes like 1-5 are the best imo it definitely feels more movie like and the grittiness of the akira art style is my favoriteeee. Also the eighties look is more standout especially in the designs like ash’s hair in the very beginning is 70-80s staple style lol

I really like the localization as well because they talk very American and sometimes they say things that you’d only know if you grew up in the tristate like I remember after Dino got ash’s gang members to kill Steven Thompson he told his guards to throw them in the pine barrens which is this crazy pine tree forest that runs throughout New Jersey that has a folklore that surrounds it being that the Jersey devil lives there.

The original CD drama especially..it used copyrighted music I’m still yet to listen to all 3 tapes because they are very long but when ash and eiji first meet at the bar the song playing in the background is shout at the devil by Motley Crue and somebody get me a doctor by Van Halen. I like the original voices too, I think ash and eiji’s fit more along with the soundtrack really gives the feel if it were to be animated then instead

As the story progresses I feel like it starts to lose a lot of that feeling as it turns more emotional and serious along with the art style becoming tighter and more perfected that’s not to complain it’s just when you read volume 16 and volume 5 it has a completely different feeling (naturally) but I dont mean the story or the emotions going on in the story I just mean overall feeling of the comics it starts out very 80s movie and then dissolves more into melodramatic shoujo story

don’t get me wrong not complaining at all I’m just a sucker for the roughness of the beginnings feeling

I'm really sorry to have to say this, but the final chapter of "Just Say Yes" will be delayed. It's been a busy week and I've been sick with a cold (much better now!). I debated just posting what I have, but it's not really polished as shiny as I'd like or as shiny as my readers deserve.

I don't think it'll take more than a few days to bring it up to my standards. Unlike the balancing-act I had to perform with Ash's feelings last chapter, this one's been pretty straightforward. It's just very long, lol!

So please be patient with me and forgive that I've disrupted your reading schedules. I seriously love every reader who's followed me this far, and I don't want to let anyone down!
