#its been great like not being as interested in social media #but unfortunately for me that means a lot of the anxieties that came with social media have like #infiltrated real life in very real ways and its scary and i dont like it #i dont like thinking like this #these ppl are too precious to me #i try not to act on it but man are the thoughts the exact same no matter what social thing im a part of #like ive never felt truly included in online spaces or just feeling unpopular or like whatever #kinda the odd one out #and even irl it feels that way #the thing is i have good people and good friends in my life #like i know theyre not the problem #its just me and my thoughts that havent literally changed forever and like now its annoying #bc i care about these people and maybe selfishly wanna keep them in my life (?)#although based on my interactions and conversations w them it feels the same for them too yaknow like reciprocated #but i feel like these days my thoughts have really just been making me not the most fun person to be around sometimes #im not acting on them fully but like maybe slightly (?)#the closer i personally feel to people the more hurt i unintentionally get #i have such unrealistic expectations sometimes it feels #and i feel like my few attempts at trying to get closer with certain ppl one on one hasnt always went down well and like #this has to be a two way thing so i cant really blame em but it also hurts idk :(#i just feel like im always doing something wrong bc ppl never seem to like me as much as i like them ?#idk i think its the superficial things too at the end of the day that bother me more than they should #i feel like i wouldnt be missed like i have to always do the reaching out whos reaching out to me :(#there are ppl that do though and im so thankful to them but things like idk #feel like ic ould shut my phone off for a week and not see anyone and just hear from no one #which is fine i guess but it makes me feel very invisible #its been strange i have feelings im trying to reconcile but not sure how to #socializing is so hard so so so hard ive just been almost confused to a frozen amount #and its been harder these days cuz the rose tinted glasses are off like my friends do re energize me yes but i feel a lot of anxiety too #rambles

one of my favorite senarios to imagine to put yukio in is sending him 10 years into the future (with the exwires usually) and everyone from their class are like chill adults including himself working their boring ass exorcist job and hes trying to assert dominance over them as the teacher™ but they're all like bro why so serious?

#The Sword of Kaigen #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #I’ve been meaning to read this for years and I finally got around to it! a really unique fantasy novel #I had always assumed this was ur average pre-industrial high fantasy and then was immediately hit with video games/tv in the first chapter #lmao. But overall (aside from the broader worldbuilding/politics) it is closer to the average ‘historical’ fantasy narrative -#so I can see why I got that impression #Some really compelling characters and interesting narrative structure that went in some unexpected directions.#It really focuses in on one village and how devastating a single battle in a war can be to their people - and how much work the recovery is #I feel like most sff is more concerned with a single person and/or the whole war so this felt unique. did also mean that the pacing was odd #- it's a slow start; then there’s a battle that must be hundreds of pages. The last section of the book feels a little too drawn out #and brings up random hanging plot elements that don’t really go anywhere. But I think overall this works for the story.#also one thing I didn’t love - cool complex interesting female character MC sure but also there’s weird moments like:#the first scene we see her is all the housewives comparing their attractiveness; she keeps referring to herself as an old woman (when she’s #and oh so meek and useless etc. And some of this feels like it’s part of the broader portrayal of the misogynist society #but some of it felt clunky or unintentional?#And then especially the end - when she and her shitty husband finally confront each other as equals and he apologises #she basically immediately forgives him and is like oh I was equally at fault because I am a meek woman who didn’t try either #like him realising he was wrong (and her realising he had a reason for being the way he was) doesn’t negate the fact that he treated her li #she acts like it was her fault for not trying too - when we have numerous examples of him berating her if she spoke up about anything?#like im glad he’s learning. but also that doesn’t mean she needs to suddenly forgive and love him wtf #that's the only real thing that annoyed me though.#also btw that 5yo seems kinda fucked up. are you guys gonna do anything about that

Also, would the constellation mark be a "cursed" Mark over the years, like you would give birth to a baby and the doctor says "😟 I am so sorry ma'am,,, I'm afraid your baby has the Cipher Companion mark. ( could also be something equally as science-y like Ursa Major, Constellation Calamation, etc idk)" And you just burst into tears.

Would that mean that dipper would get into a special program(demon wrangling program or smthng, demonologist? Maybe)? Or would the parents hide it away hoping that Bill would never take their child away?

#Answers #Okay but for full transparency #I never really figured out what the 'cheating' consequence is #It's a nebulous concept since I've never had to write it happening #And left ambiguous because neither of these two are into anyone else - and as a writer I like to leave my options open!#I would assume that one of the few things they agreed on when making the contract was that unwelcome advances didn't count as cheating #But that the villain in question would get what was coming to them. It's midnight so I'm gonna ramble again but about animation/cartoons as a whole included with my lack of knowledge about the industry

A few weeks ago, I remember watching some video about Cartoon Network or something and the guy doing the essay mentioned something like "With the rise of streaming and online as a whole, there is a loss of connection with parents and their kids because back then, you could watch the same cartoon with your kids and recognize who that is". They absolutely did not say those exact words but something along the lines of it, and it's stuck to me for days because it's true! Like I don't think kids nowadays have that kind of connection other than theatrical kids movies, which sucks I think moments like these are precious to have.

Another thing is that I think people kind of underestimate how popular cartoon/2d/3d shows are with adults? Especially young adults because the people who grew up with like, 1990s-2010s shows are probably mostly grown adults now. Probably the best recent example of this is Adventure time and how (I think) big Fionna and Cake is. Like I could go on Twitter and be spoiled hell and back on the newest episodes LOL. How about Owl House and Infinity Train? Bluuey too?? I don't know, but with the writers strike and how swept under the rug animation is, especially on streaming, it just kind of sucks where the current state of animation is right now for everyone as a whole

#quick one (compared to my other rambles LMAOOO)#but yeah it kinda sucks. like after fionna and cake. what else am i gonna be looking forward to?#like back in 2015 or something. i had so many shows to look forward to for airing #gravity falls. adventure time. steven universe. star vs. mirabug (unfortunately)#maybe ive grown up and i dont keep in touch anymore but now the only show i have to look forward to is fionna and cake. but then what?#any new shows are just gonna get shut down after season 1-2 (INSIDE JOBBB I WONT FORGET YOU)#and old shows getting reboots are either gonna suck (fairly odd parents) or have no chance at all of being picked up again (INFINITY TRAINN #in exchange of easy to access shows and the loss of tv. the industry has gone haywire with new shows #in hopes to get that one hit show. and it sucks w the rate of how many of these r coming out #many of the shows are left under the rubble if they dont get enough interest. even those that r popular OWL HOUSE #sorry i rambled in here too :skull: but it makes me sad bc i love cartoons so much #etc #diary
