it’s so fucking frustrating having a dm who DOESNT KNOW HOW FUCKING DASH ACTIONS WORK
#he also refuses to read our character sheets bc ‘we should know our own character’#but there’s a person in the campaign who didn’t even know that they were supposed to add spells to what they have from their subclass and i#had to coach them on how to add spells and how to wildshape and i had to tell THE FUCKING DM THAT HE SHOULDNT NERF#FUCKING CUNNING ACTIONS FOR ROGUES BECAUSE THEYRE NOT THAT FUCKING OP YOU JUST DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR PLAYERS CAN DO#AND HE SAID THAT A PLAYER COUPDNT USE THEIR DIG SPEED TO TAKE A DASH ACTION BECAUSE THEYD JUST RUN INTO THE WALL#THATS NOT HOW FUCKING DASH ACTIONS WORK IT JUST ADDS TO YOUR MOVEMENT#he also didn’t let that player wildshape until they actually read how to do it but like bruh at a certain point you just don’t want people#to be able to use their cool abilities from their class that they’re prob excited for#he’s cool though#just kinda a dumbass#he also does some weird fuckshit with advantage and disadvantage where if you roll a nat 1 with advantage the nat 1 overrides it#don’t really like that but also like whatever it also works the other way around#he’s also really inconsistent on whether he uses the meets it beats it rule#the games fun overall but sometimes i am remind of how annoying it is that he doesn’t know the rules or our abilities#but it’s his table so he gets to fuck with it however he want but holy shit#HE ALSO LETS ANOTHER CHARACTER DO 2WEAPON FIGHTIN WITH A TWO HANDED WEAPON BUT HE WONT LET ME DO IT#IT MAKES ME WANT TO TEAR MY FUCKING EYES OUT#i don’t wanna be a rules lawyer but some of his rules are annoying and he doesn’t even know most of the rules so i feel like i have to#correct him or explain them sometimes

#connie corleone#carmela corleone#the godfather#web weaving#this is...quite negative towards carmela i guess#so i just want to make it clear that i actually really love her as a character and i actually can understand how she became who she was#she was a woman born in the late 19th century raised not just in a patriarchal society but a CATHOLIC patriarchal society#who therefore grew up learning that she was primarly defined by her relationship to her husband and her capacity to be a 'good wife'#so i totally understand why she would take some type of sick pride in knowing that her husband never 'had' to hit her#but like...that entire part of the book was legit hard to read and Carmela was really not that much better than Vito there#so it's kinda hard for me not side eyed the shit out of her when she blame Connie for being a neglectful mom#like geez Carmela I wonder why your daugther might be struggling I'm sure it has nothing to do with anything you did or refused to do...#i'll say that she did end up being concerned for Connie and trying to help so she definitely deserves some points here#unlike Vito's dumbass who was just like 'it really hurts me to know that my daughter is being hit all the time but i can't do anything :('#'I'll tell her it's all her fault and that she deserves to be hit that will surely help somehow'#Vito really spent the entirety of this book being like 'nothing and I mean NOTHING matters more than blood (conditions very much applies)'#domestic violence mention

my take on the steeplechase trio (and montrose’s mask variants)
#my art#taz#taz steeplechase#since beef is an arm wrestler im kinda entertained by the idea that he keeps it casual from the waist down#but all of his shirts are branded beef punchley shirts#i like to think that all of montrose’s clothes are slightly too big for him because he buys them himself#but doesn’t have the money/resources for a tailor#and he can’t go to dentonic bc his uniform is supposed to be something totally different#i kinda struggled with his mask#but i like the idea that it really is a human face but you can see the edges. the metallic parts of the mask. the little glitches#his skin color is always ever so slightly off#also griffin described his actual face as ‘plain’ so imagine he looks like just some guy. a little babyfaced#while his ‘neutral’ mask is just generically handsome#and i didnt draw that but i think it glitches out sometimes and his face goes all wonky#sorry griffin i took over your boy#emerich was probably the easiest to design he just sprung into my head fully formed#i don’t remember if the give-a-ghost projector is actually supposed to be on his arm#but it is now .#also i would like everyone to think about montrose talking about jesus in that dumbass clean job mask please. thank you
