tfw when you're giving the performance of a lifetime but you're also the ttrpg facilitator
[audio transcript under the cut]
Austin [as Jesset City]: This is what you're signing up for.
Austin: He says to Levi.
Austin [as Jesset]: It's this. It's tears forever. You don't get to win. You just have to keep trying, and losing people. [Becoming choked up] You just have to see it go bad over, and over, and over again. It gets close. You get close. Over, and over again and then they take it from you. [Sniffs] You compromise. You... you mess up. It's... It's a vow. It's a vow to fail. That's what it means. Are you really ready to follow people like us? To do this?
Dre [as Levi]: I don't know. I'm not thinking about that and maybe I should and maybe that's gonna be my problem to deal with later. Right now i'm thinking about someone that I've heard a lot of really good stuff about is trying to throw their life away.
Austin: [Speaking normally] Roll the dice. [Pause] We got 1, 2, 3 for the Opposition. Plus... I don't think "Aggressive Squaides" is coming in here!
[Ali snorts]
Dre: No.
Austin: You didn't bring anybody here with you! [Ali and Jack laugh] I vaguely think "Mistrust from Cause Leadership" does in the sense that that mistrust makes this a harder case for you to make in your own head, you know what I mean?
Dre: Mhmm
Austin: But, hey! You convinced Wakeful to help, you're not gonna convince this fuckin guy? C'mon.
[Ali laughs]

need to draw starmen more often, they have such a fun shape
idk here's a quick rundown of how i imagine the starmen, just for fun
They're the mass-produced soldiers of a big empire that exists in the far future. They've conquered the galaxy in their own time period, and they've become close allies with Giygas's race, who've promised them power over other time periods as well
Starmen are primarily composed out of a unique sort of metal, which is actually a liquid. They're sentient, with a robotic brain (identical to a biological lifeform's, incredibly intelligent and even capable of PSI) and a number of other cybernetic components. One of these produces a special kind of field that keeps their forms together, giving them the same solidity and durability as solid metal while still allowing for fluid and flexible movement
The fields are a little sensitive though, and can only withstand too much trauma before they fail and the body loses its integrity (they melt). Their own lasers are especially deadly to them, and can instantly slice through their shields like butter
I really liked the idea of them slowly coming apart before they completely melt, so I actually did a bunch of doodles of this a couple years back (proportions are a little wonky but i think it mostly holds up pretty well ^^)
Funnily enough, this was long before I played through the Halloween Hack, which actually features melted Starmen as enemies! so that was a fun surprise haha
The Starmen are only one of the many forces Giygas had at his disposal in his first invasion, hence why they didn't have quite as big a presence in the first game. By his return in 199X however, he didn't have his own people to back him up anymore, so he was relying a lot more on them as one of his primary forces
In Giygas's absence as he began to lose control over his powers, Porky took over as the de facto leader of the invasion, and started ordering in as many troops as he could to stop the Chosen Four. He actually drained so much of the Starmen's resources in doing so that they were left completely open to a sudden rebel attack in their own time period, and their empire collapsed
So yeah! That's the Starmen, they're a neat little group with a fun design, I like playing around with them a bit :3

Hey gamers, I just wanted to say: I hope you’re doing well, wherever you are in our big blue world, if not, we still have so many days ahead, some good, and some just okay.
I hope things turn out well, in the end

“I love you” “it’ll pass” okay but which one is Eddie and which one is reader bc I don’t think I’d be able to handle either outcome
okay. just. hear me out. listen. listen to this idea i don't know if i could ever put myself through the heartbreak of writing. (tw: i'm bringing up the cursed thing that is eddie's canon ending in stranger things as of right now. yes. his... very, very, very long nap.)
"i love you" = reader
"it'll pass" = eddie
...and how ironic it is, for him to have insisted so many times that it'll pass, especially after the canon events of season 4. in which you are left alone, with nothing more than a memory of him, and all you can think is how it'll never pass. the love, the grief, the pain - he lied. it won't pass. even when you finally crave it to.

Binah giving you one of her rings as an act of silent affection, only to have to watch you die as the cycle resets again
yet somehow, although your memories are gone, the ring remains. you don't know where it came from, but occasionally you see your Sephirah give it a glance, one of her own rings mysteriously missing
