Jon and Damian being best friends (and better friends than their father)
Jon and Damian were in the middle of a heated Fortnite match, battling against other online players when one player, Ballbuster335, started trash-talking them after a loss.
Ballbuster335: Y’all are trash! I swear.
Damian (clarifying): We lost because of you.
Ballbuster335: I told Superboy9000 to cover! He messed up! Damn, he’s such trash, dude! TRASH!
Jon lowered his head, a look of defeat on his face. Damian set his controller down and pulled out his phone, quickly searching for information on Ballbuster335.
Jon (softly): I’m sorry—
Damian (calmly): Ballbuster335, Sunnyvale Avenue, New Jersey, Jared Davis. You work at a Dollar Tree. I won’t hesitate to drive over and put my foot up your ass if you don’t apologize and log off.
The irate player fell silent, while snickers from the other players could be heard in the background.
Damian: What’s wrong, Jared? Upset that your failed NFT business left you broke? Cursing out middle schoolers after joining our party? Lost a game due to your own mistakes, or are you just scared that I will find you? I saw your internet history, too.
Jared remained speechless, an audible gulp echoing in the chat.
Damian: Why’d you stop talking? Is it because you live close by? Or because if you keep attacking my friend, I’ll find you and deal with you? Insult me all you want, but if you mess with Jon, you're messing with the wrong person. Log off, or I can get there really fast.
A log-out ping sounded as Jared exited without offering an apology, but Jon wasn’t complaining.
Damian: Such a shame. Well, would everyone else like to continue?
The other gamers nodded in agreement, eager to keep playing. Jon smiled and playfully nudged Damian with his arm. Damian shrugged with a grin.
--------------------------------------
Jon: What’s one nice thing you can say about me?
Damian: You’re st... I mean, you are funny and make me smile.
Jon (eyes lighting up): You think I’m funny?
Damian (sighing): I hate to admit it, but you are.
Jon: And I give the best hugs!
Damian: I never said th—
Jon enveloped Damian in a tight hug. Damian sighed having expected this, but patted his friend’s arm with a smile.
--------------------------------------
After a successful mission, Damian carried Jon in his arms as they made their way back to Jon’s house.
Jon (arms wrapped around Damian's shoulders): Ain’t this something, pal? You’re carrying me like a true friend would.
Damian (exhausted): Yep, remind me why I’m carrying you again?
Jon: My healing factor isn't as good as my dad's.
Damian (stating the obvious): Okay, but you have one.
Jon: Yeah, but... you’re really strong.
Damian (mulling it over and accepting): That’s a fact, but I’m dropping you when I can guarantee we’re safe.
Jon: When will that be?
Damian (as they enter a cul-de-sac): Drop.
Jon was unceremoniously dropped on the ground, and Damian stepped over him, heading toward Jon's family home.
Damian: Get up.
Jon scrambled to his feet and ran over to Damian, placing his arm on his shoulder as they chatted about what to do for the rest of the night.
--------------------------------------
While shopping, Jon spotted a Monster High shirt and, intrigued by its cool design, picked it off the rack.
Jon (smiling): I like this shirt, but I don’t think I can afford it.
Damian swiftly yanked off the shirt tag and headed to the front counter to pay without another word.
Jon (trying to stop him): Damian, wait! Stop buying me stuff. We’ve been over this.
Damian (paying for the item): I told you, my friend language is gifting things. I don’t expect anything in return either. It’s just how I operate. Let it happen.
Jon: But won’t your dad be mad you’re using his money?
Damian: Considering he’s insanely rich and my mom is too... I don’t think he’ll notice I borrowed his credit card for the day. He lets me take it anyway. Buying clothes and necessities for my friend is just a bonus. You're a necessity I need to finance.
Jon: Aww, that’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me.
Damian: I do have a way with words.
The cashier, who had listened to the entire exchange, widened her eyes in surprise as she handed Damian his receipt.
Cashier: Christ, my friends usually beg me for money and you're doing this? Kid, you're lucky.
Damian: He is, thank you. Jon, you want anything else?
Jon: Um... I’m good—
Cashier: Dude, there’s a sale, and your friend just said he’ll buy you anything! Pick out a couple more shirts at least. I don’t mean to interject, but this kid seems awesome.
Damian (smiling): Jon, listen to the nice saleswoman.
Jon sighed, smiling as he relented.
Jon: Fine, but I’m picking out something for you as well.
Damian nodded, following Jon to the shirts section of the store, ready for more shopping adventures together.

To anyone who thinks Bruce has a clear and consistent favourite child I raise you this: it is infinitely funnier for Bruce to have a complicated and elaborate “ranking” system of his kids that only he’s privy to.
Picture this: Batman, dosed with truth serum, gets asked as a gag from one of the goons holding him captive who his favourite bat-vigilante is and instead of giving a straight answer, he launches into this whole explanation about the ranking system and who’s in the current lead, who’s hanging behind, etc. At some point (this is a mystery to everyone involved) a whiteboard appears and he starts explaining his system like he’s a football coach before an important match. Out of nowhere he starts pulling out little cardboard cutouts of his kids and pins them to the board. At some point the red string comes out.
Jason hasn’t killed someone in a week? Automatically promoted to favourite. Tim hasn’t caused an international incident in the past month? Puts him a few points ahead that keep decreasing the longer he refuses real sleep (20 minute power naps don’t count Tim! Says powernap inventor Bruce Wayne). Cass gave him a hug this morning and wished him a good day? Favourite until he gets a call from dick telling him (without shouting!!!!) that he’ll be there for this week’s Sunday dinner. Duke accidentally scratches the Batmobile? Demoted to the “in trouble” zone (which, honestly, that’s where his kids spend most of the time in😭). Damian did not attempt to free all the animals in the zoo they visited? Favourite. Until Bruce found out he was just trying to conceal the cat hidden in his room that Bruce explicitly forbade him from keeping.
Dick arrives at the family dinner with a busted shoulder and a bruise the size of Texas on his face? Gets demoted so far down that even azraeil scores higher than him. He’s in the “in trouble” zone for a constant month after that. Oh one of them survived an almost death? Favourite for at least the next week. At least. Multiple people survive an almost death? EVERYONES the favourite. The least favourite is the growing grey hairs on his head.
The end of day results are decided by who bothers to wish him goodnight and if all of them have fucked up in some way the past week then Jon (Kent) becomes the automatic favourite until someone cracks a joke that Bruce actually finds funny.
The favourite child changes daily, hourly even, and his kids are aware this system exists and keep trying to crack the code but he always Knows and just smirks smugly.

Reverse trope
where instead of the Bats forgetting that they’re adopted (something actual adoptees do on occasion and is hilarious) they forget that some of them *cough Damian cough* aren’t
_______
Jason in the heat of a probably ridiculous argument: Yeah well YOU’RE adopted!
Tim just as invested in said argument: So are YOU! We all are!
Damian who had previously been quietly watching this unfold while he drank his tea: Actually I’m not
Tim and Jason who didn’t realize he was there but are already DoneTM: …… Damian continuing to sip his tea entirely unbothered: :)
Damian: Because I’m not an orphan-
Jason: ok, yoU KNOW WHAT-
____
or like in their group texts (that we know they have thanks to Nightwing (2016) #79)
*Steph changed the group chat name to “Bruce Wayne’s Personal Orpanage”*
Jason: Really?
Steph: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Steph: It’s the truth Damian: Both my parents are very much alive
Steph: Shhh you don’t count
Cass: Mine too Duke: Technically so are mine
Barbara: I still have a dad so there’s that
Steph: YOU GUYS ARE RUINING THE JOKE
Tim: Stephanie aren’t BOTH of your parents alive???
Steph: KNOW WHAT? FINE
*Steph changed the group chat name to “The Technicality Police”*
Tim: well that’s more accurate at least
Steph: :)
_____
Damian in his 10th argument with Tim of the day: That’s- this is-
Tim in full Antagonizing Big Brother mode: I’m listening
Damian -a Gen Z and best friend to Jon Kent- extremely frustrated: This is such Motherless behavior!
Tim taken aback: [voice cracking] W-what-?
Damian who didn’t mean to say that but doubling down anyway because his bloodline doesn’t believe in admitting mistakes: THIS! This is such Motherless behavior!
The rest of the family who is also motherless: :O
Cass whose been spending way too much time with Meme Queen Stephanie Brown and not involved in the argument but finding it entertaining regardless: [nodding along seriously] Facts
Tim: [visibly betrayed] CASS WHAT-
A video copy of the interaction gets sent out anonymously to the entire family. Barbara is the prime suspect but there is no proof as of yet (and they will never find any)
Steph, Cass, and Duke continue to respond “Motherless behavior” everytime one of the bats does something they deem questionable/insane. It is said often
It only stops when one night in the middle of patrol. Batman is in full Dark Knight mode (possibly in the middle of threatening someone) and descends from the ceiling into the middle of a warehouse drug deal, dark cape billowing out behind him-
and Steph just automatically whispers “Motherless behavior” forgetting her com was still very much on
She immediately realizes what she said and frantically apologizes but it’s too late.
Bruce just- Blue Screens. Completely stunned into silence
Dick -who was unfortunate enough to be the one teamed up with Batman tonight- is fighting for his life to choke back his laughter
Jason doesn’t even try to stop his and has collapsed to his knees from lack of air from how hard he’s laughing. Cass try’s half heartedly patting his back to help to no avail
The criminals are terrified into surrender from The Red Hood just laughing hysterically at seemingly nothing while Batman just Stands There
Damian ends up being the only one still functioning enough to continue arresting everyone, though he is privately amused and strangely proud
Tim and Barbara have saved both the com recordings and cowl footage to at least three different servers and sent it to absolutely everyone before Batman even recovers
Duke finds out second hand the next morning and is furious he missed the chance to see it in person. He declares he is moving to the nightshift so it doesn’t happen again. (He is all talk and goes to bed by 9 pm)
Bruce bans the phrase for life and promises swift and server punishment to anyone who dares to use it again
#Like it’d be so funny#Imagine them on mothers day#Damian at unnecessary volumes: I AM LEAVING TO GO TO VISIT MY MOTHER NOW#Damian: WHERE SHE LIVES.#His brothers on their way to the cemetery or smth: ._.#Damian still going regardless: BECAUSE SHE IS ALIVE#I just know Damian “Certified Mama’s Boy” Wayne would be such a menace about it#And Duke Babs Steph and Cass would so help fan the flames#batfam#dc comics#fanfiction#headcanon#chat fic#Can you tell I read them often#And yes adoptees forget they’re adopted#I have a friend who has on multiple occasions started to tell me about something that “ran in the family”/something in her family history#Before she’ll remember she’s not actually blood related#someone has probably already done this#But I still thinks it’s very funny#No I don’t think Jon would say motherless behavior to someone#But I do think he’d know the phrase and teach Damian#I just imagine he educates him on all the Gen Z lingo don’t ask why#crack post#100% a joke dont take it seriously

When you say the love interest might be worse, does that mean "being mean to reader" wise or "being possessive over the reader" wise?
ERMMM...both I'd say. The love interest for the Werewolf AU is Jon Kent. He's about the same age as the reader and older than Damian by one year (From the time-skip space mission that he went on that aged him). But bro, this boy is fucking nuts.
Yes, Kryptonians aren't werewolves in this universe, but Lois Lane is. And a strong one at that, coming from a military family and all that jazz. So Jon Lane Kent is literally one of the strongest beings on earth, being half-kryptonian and half-werewolf.
Now i know what youre thinking.
But wouldn't Jon also be outcasted from werewolf society/wouldn't the bats not like him cause he's a half-blood?
WRONG!!! Yes, Jon is a half-blooded werewolf, but the other half is Kryptonian, one of the strongest species in the universe. If anything, his breeding makes him a very respected figure and the Bats definitely find him worthy. He and Damian are still the best of friends.
Now Jon's relationship with (Y/n). Yikes. Funnily enough, it was (Y/n) who started crushing on Jon first. She'd see him around the manor often, and she'd watch as he interacted with the Waynes or messed around with Damian. From what she could see, he seemed nicer than her family, so maybe she could be friends with him right? Plus, he's super cute!
And of course, this doesn't end well. I mean, this is a dark au. First off, Superman doesn't quite see humans as equals. Werewolves, they have his respect, and all the other races too. Yes, Clark Kent's adoptive parents were humans, and yes he loved them, but they were weak. Fragile even. And he made sure to instill that teaching in Jon as well.
Did Jon love his grandparents? Absolutely, but that meant that Ma and Pa stayed confined to Smallville and their house. They were too weak, they needed to be protected.
Lois also helped push Werewolf culture onto him as well. Weaker werewolves and humans were subservient to the stronger, and if necessary, could be killed and eaten. Jon didn't quite get the eating part, finding it quite gross actually, until he had his first taste of flesh. And, yikes, the boy was hooked.
In his mind, humans were either things to be taken care of (like pets) or food.
What's even more scary is that he's sweet around his family and friends, but those he deems as lesser? Well, let's just hope you don't catch him in a bad mood or piss him off. Which is why when weak, pitiful, abandoned (Y/n) Wayne comes up to him, he's insulted.
Why on earth did you even think you were worthy of talking to him?
Yes, he's seen you watching them, lurking around the manor, keeping your distance. It was quite annoying actually, he could practically hear your heart leaping out of its chest every time you saw him. He knew your intentions, trying to make friends with him.
He just looked down at you, eyes pooling with something nobody could explain, whilst you smiled at him and made small talk. Or tried to make small talk.
"Damian, should I snap her neck? Or is your family still insistent on the old laws?" Jon says.
You freeze, eyes widening in fear. Ah...you've made a severe lapse in judgment.
So much for a new friend.
"You know what? How 'bout I just go?" You quip nervously before trying to run off.
It's too bad Damian grabs you by the back of your shirt, basically choking you in the process. You let out a strangled noise as your body loses balance and lurches backward. When Damian lets go, your having a mad coughing fit, trying to get as much air as you could into your lungs.
Damian only makes an annoyed sound while Jon watches, a sick type of glee in his eyes. "When the time comes friend, you may feast with us. Now (Y/n), apologize to Jon."
You do not even have to think twice about that. "I'm sorry-I'm sorry! I shouldn't have approached you, I'm sorry." And at this point, you're crying. (reader is 14 when this happens)
And god doesn't that make Jon smile. He wouldn't deny, that you were pretty (I mean, you do have half of Bruce Wayne's DNA). But as much as he'd consider coveting you, you weren't worth that honor, no, he'd much rather taste your sweet, sweet flesh. (He could practically smell it wafting off you).
But alas, he'd have to wait.
But of course, in normal yandere fashion, he goes from wanting to eat you to wanting to eat you. The obsession starts to change around (Y/n)'s 16th birthday party that the Waynes throw. It's customary that all children do some public ball or whatever, so this was yours. Jon and his family are there obviously, and you're there as well, looking as miserable and tired as usual (and still somehow being the most beautiful thing in the building). However, he sees you light up in a way he's never seen you do before when your (what he's guessing) friends show up. They're human. They're weak, like you.
Seeing you interact with them, hearing you talk normally(super-hearing, duh) without fear, watching the way you laughed...He realizes he wants. And he wants bad.
Looks like you've got a new problem now.
Anyways, this is all I got!! I don't want to spoil the story more than I already have, but yeah, say hello to "absolutely bonkers Jon Kent". Hope you enjoyed!!!

Jason has cuteness aggression.
Anything that you do is cute as fuck to him and all he wants to do is squeeze the fuck out of you in his strong arms, but has to restrain himself from doing so because he doesn’t want to genuinely hurt you.
He’s just so full of love that he doesn’t know what to do with it other then spend all his time with you doing your own thing, even though everything within him is screaming at him to reach out and squish your cheeks together, all the while smothering your face in a abundance of kisses for doing absolutely nothing because that’s how badly in love he is.
Jason just didn’t want to scare you off in how he loves because it could be quite suffocating or too much, but as long as you communicate to him that his love wasn’t suffocating or too much then expect it to quickly be apart of your daily routine, then again it’s not like you’re complaining because an affectionate Jason is an adorable Jason.
So you’d happily just sit there and allow him to hold your face between his hands and kiss you senselessly for just simply existing.
‘Why. Are. You. So. Fucking. Cute.’ Jason would say between planting kisses on your lips, forehead and nose.
‘I’m not even doing anything other than sit here.’ You chuckled, smiling widely at feeling of his lips against your skin.
‘Not a valid enough response.’ Jason replies as he continues his barrage of affection.
‘But it’s true!’ You exclaimed as Jason enough you into his arms and squeezed you tightly as though you were a plush toy. You cuddled into him and rested your head on his chest, finding this side of Jason to be sweet and beautiful as himself. ‘Then why are you the most precious person in my life Hmmm?’ Jason asked rhetorically, burying his face into your head, tightening his grip on you. ‘Then why is it that I would do anything you’d ask without a second thought?’
‘Because we’re together?’ You said, faking ignorance as you wanted nothing more to hear him say it.
‘It’s because I love you chipmunk.’ Jason murmured as he pressed a lingering kiss to your temple, knowing that even if he did manage to show you all the love he had within him, he’d only find even more love underneath all that to give to you.
[PLATONIC ONLY] Damian Wayne claims that he hates being your friend.
But if that was the case then why is it that he goes out of his way to make sure that you were comfortable and treated with respect when he brings you over to the Wayne Manor; Something he’s never gone out of his way to do for anyone besides maybe Jon Kent, but that’s neither here nor there.
Then why was it that when he first introduce you to Titus as a sign of trust, the Great Dane didn’t waste a second in wanting to get to know you with how often he would impatiently nudge you with his head, whine and howl until you gave him head rubs and or cuddles. Damian on the other hand acted as though he was embarrassed by this, but was secretly happy that you and his dog got along as it meant a lot for Damian if Titus instantaneously likes you, he trusts Titus judgment as he believes that dogs were great judges of characters.
Then why was it that when you showed genuine signs of struggle, he was the first person to notice and help you with whatever you were having troubles with as best he could. Damian knew that he would be considered the last person people who go to for help and for obvious reasons, but when it was you Damian wanted to be your first choice, your first option out of everyone; If you get stuck then you might as well get stuck together, even tough he’s intelligent in his own right, he’s not prone to not knowing the answer to something.
It happens to everyone and you have to remind him in those moments that he’s imperfect human, not a weapon. He needs reminding of that now and then in all honesty.
Damian won’t out right call you his friend but he will show it without even knowing he’s even doing it until someone -maybe one of his brothers, mainly Grayson- points it out to him.
‘Is your friend coming over today?’ Grayson would ask.
‘They’re not my friend.’ Damian answered bitterly.
‘Then why are you clearing a space for them.’ Grayson then points out and that’s when Damian stops to realise what he was doing, scowling as he crossed his arms. ‘Tt. That’s none of your concern Grayson I just like to keep my living spaces clean and easily maintained.’ Graysons smile grew as he leant against the doorframe. ‘Oh really? That’s the only reason you’re doing this?’
‘Yes.’ Damian replied, adamant with his answer.
Grayson shrugs and raises his hands in surrender. ‘Okay, if that’s what going on then I guess I’ll leave you be then.’
‘That would be much appreciated Grayson, I still have much to do before y/n’s arrival-‘ Damian once again stopped upon realising what he was insinuating and looked towards Grayson who looked like the cat who caught the canary. ‘Not a word to anyone.’ Damian threatens as he points a finger at his older brother.
‘I didn’t hear a thing.’ Grayson said but as he walked into the hallway only to scream, ‘DAMIAN IS CLEARING UP HIS ROOM FOR HIS FRIEND! JASON YOU OWE ME MONEY! I WON THE BET!’
In the distance Jason could be heard cursing Dick out for cheating somehow.
Damian gritted his teeth but he knew he can’t hunt Dick down for sport just yet, you were arriving in ten minutes and he still had some work to do until then.
Dick has an obsession with you resting your head on his shoulder or on his back, followed by your arms holding onto his waist for dear life.
He lives for it and gets embarrassingly excited whenever you do it to the point that it’s obvious that he was expecting something every time you came home. Dick just likes the idea that despite how exhausted you might be, you still go out of your way to drag your feet across the room and rest your head on his shoulder as you whispered a greeting into his skin.
He enjoys this so much that if you ever dare to forget to do so, he’ll pout and silently watch you as you moved about the apartment expectantly. If after five minutes you still don’t do the thing then Dick will show you his back and sigh dramatically until you’re forced to take notice.
‘What’s wrong pretty bird?’ You asked wearily.
‘Nothing.’ He replies.
‘Dick you’re huffing and sighing every five seconds, somethings wrong.’ You said, getting up to move towards him before resting your head on his back and throwing your arms over his waist. ‘So tell me what’s wrong so that we can talk about it and get through it together.’ You murmur and you felt Dick relax as he rested his hands over your own.
‘There’s no need to talk about anything because you’re already doing the thing that I’ve been waiting for you to do since you got in.’ Dick answered and you couldn’t help but laugh at this while tightening your hold on his waist. ‘This? Seriously?’ You asked.
‘Yep.’ Confirmed Dick as he moved himself so that he could properly hold you against him. ‘Just this and only this.’ He adds softly and you had no reason to argue with him over something that brought him comfort and reassurance.
‘Okay, I’ll remember to do this a lot more, just for you.’ You promised, kissing his shoulder.
‘I’ll hold you to that promise sweetie.’ Dick says as he rested his head atop of yours, closing his eyes as he basked in your closeness and allowed himself to breathe and be in the moment with you.
Because that’s all he wanted, to live in the moment with you.

Danny is Jon Kent.
Danny was in English class when it happened. A portal opened under his desk and he fell into it, desk and all. When he was able to get his bearings of whatever he’d been dropped into, he was considering going ghost, but something deep inside of him told him to wait and watch. That his ghost half wasn’t needed yet. So he did.
He looked around. He noticed a teenager, around his age, that was dressed in a gray, black and red costume with a R on the chest, who was standing next to a blonde guy in a long trench coat.
“There you go, Batbrat. One Jon Kent for ya. Don’t kill this one, eh?” Constantine winked and teleported out of the room after clapping the ‘Batbrat’ on the shoulder.
The teen turned to him, walking over slowly. Danny was unnerved. He didn’t know who ‘Jon Kent’ was, or why he was summoned, but he didn’t want to have to defend himself with his English final and a pencil. He pulled the hidden Fentonbat from his pocket and extended it, aiming it at the teen.
“Don’t come any closer.” Danny hissed, “Who are you and why was I summoned here?”
The teen tilted his head. “You don’t recognize me?”
“Am I supposed to?” He kept the bat steady in his hands, but he doubted that it would do much against the teen. Something in him told him that the teen was more highly trained than he was and that he could decimate him without any effort.
The teen reached up and pulled the mask off of his face, looking slightly hopeful. “My name is Damian Wayne.” The teen looked him up and down, “The Jon Kent of my world is dead and you will take his place.”
“Alright, look, uh—Damian, was it? First off, I’m not Jon Kent, don’t even know who that is. Second off, I’m not taking some dead teens place. No way. That’s just creepy and it’s not happening.”
He was starting to get creepy vibes from Damian, and the only other person that creeped him out like this was Vlad, and Vlad was… well, Vlad.
“The world is in danger. Superman is going mad with his grief. He needs his son.” Damian looked into his eyes, “And I need my best friend back.”
“That’s a whole lot of nope from me.” He backed away, but found himself with the desk blocking his retreat. “Look, I’m honored but uh, my sister will get worried if I don’t come home and trust me, you don’t want that.”
“You don’t have a sister.” Damian took a few steps forward.
He stepped around the desk and kept it between him and Damian. “You’ve got the wrong guy! I don’t know who Jon Kent is! My name is Danny! Danny Fenton! And for once in my life, can you please send me back to school so I can take my English test?”
“I thought we would be friends in every universe.” Damian mumbled, “But I guess I was wrong.”
“Cool. Cool. Cool. Uh, quick idea, sending me home sounds fantastic.”
“The world needs you, Jon. I need you.” Damian frowned, “But if you won’t go willingly, I will force you.”
Loosing his temper, he spat: “I’m not Jon, you arrogant ass—“
He was cut off when he saw Damian pull a glowing green rock from his pocket. Instantly, Danny fell to his knees, dragging the desk down with him as he fell. He clutched his chest, making it feel like it was hard to breathe. He lost unconsciousness.

Perpeptual
Some of Young justice are teleported/isekai'd during one of their battles to an underdeveloped world barely out of the iron age.
The planet confuses them, perpeptual night but the climate is warm and the flora abundant regardless of the missing sunlight. It has a single yellowy green moon that is stuck in orbit at the same point in the sky as the stars move around it.
Some of the locals have accepted them into their small village, their language is close to spanish; esperanto Wally says. Atleast they can somewhat communicate now. The people are unsettingly human with only slight changes to their body; lighter skin, pointed ears and glowing eyes.
They spend a little over two weeks helping the locals with their building some kind of stage for a festival. A large corridor of metal, spires of green crystal that Connor says make him woozy on top of his already low solar energy from the weeks stranded here and thick braided cord wound around the bases of the spires and inlayed into an intricate pattern winding their way to the corridor of metal.
The chief, Degelinta Stellumo, is happy to say the festival can begin early. When asked about the festival they cant translate much other than it's to thank their god for keeping them safe. About how thousands of years ago the day god Rox tried to consume their world, the night god Phan covered their world in protective night to protect it from Rox's anger.
The team is perplexed as the festivities begin, rhythmic chanting fills the air as one of their young men, that Megan recognizes as Stelo, walks forward dressed in furs and a iron crown upong their head. He steps into the corridor, the crystals glow brightening as he does so, almost alive in the perpeptual moonlight and the chanting getting faster and faster. Duh-duh-duh-duh-da-duh-duh-da-duh-da~.
There is a massive flare of light coming from the corridor, the crystals shatter and fly everywhere and the people cheer. Stelo steps, no floats from the now blackened corridor changed; his body glows in a pale white light, hair once black now pure white while his eyes are toxic green from his previously white and a cloak of stars floats behind him in an invisible wind.
He looks around confused, tired, until his eyes settle on the young superheroes going from Connor's house of El crest to Miss Martians skin to Robins stylized R.
Everyone is shocked as the being speaks to them in echoy but clear english, "You lot are a long ways from home, arent you?"
"Uhm, yes... sir," Tim hesitantly asks hesitantly unsure how to address this being? God? Entity?
"Right, well not to belittle your situation but we're holding up the festivities I'm certain the Sheo'lp people have been working on for some time. Let us celebrate a bit then we can talk about your situation."
"What are you," Megan blurts out, confused, "Stelo stepped into that corridor and his mind is gone and now theres just static."
"I suppose i can answer that easily enough. My name was/is Danny and I dont know what I am anymore. Once the festival ends, Stelo will return to himself. I promise."
The now named Danny stops floating and walks over to the tribespeople, stopping to hug and greet everyone by name and accepting food and drink happily. He cries as he eats the food and drink, thanking the people in esperanto repeatedly as he does so, this goes on for several hours before the partying starts to die down and Danny takes the group over to a dying bonfire.
"Right, I suppose you have questions but I would like some verification."
"Verification?"
"Yup, just need to know if you are who I think you are. It's been forever since I've been around earth but you look familiar.
He points at Miss Martian, "M'gann M'orzz?"
Pointing to kid flash, "Bart? No... Wally West."
Points to Robin, "Damian Wayne."
Points to Superboy, "and that would make you Jon Kent."
They partially confused, partial perturbed that this entity knows some of their names. Tim looks him square in the eyes, studying him, thinking about protocols for what to do when a godlike entity just namedrops your baby brother like its no big deal.
"Its just Robin as I am," Tim says, eyes never leaving Danny's.
"Shit right, apologies I forgot about superhero 101, no names. Its been a while since I had to worry about names, time is blurry these days to me. Now! What about those questions?"
"Can you get us home," Tim asks straight forwardedly. "We've been missing from earth for a few weeks now."
"Sure," he says nonchalantly, surprising the team, "Well yes and no. *I* can get you home but I know something who can but you need to Promise me that you'll follow my directions once you go home. Deal?" He holds out his hand to Tim, who looks at it before shaking it.
"So long as it doesnt endanger those i care about then Deal."
Danny nods before taking a deep breath and holding out a hand, a small crack running through the seam of reality as green light fills the area, from the crack a scroll flies through at high speeds as he catches it. "Hello old friend," he says tiredly, seeming to have dimmed greatly from that stunt.
"A scroll," Connor asks incredulously.
"A map," Danny corrects, "of everything. Take hold of each other before taking the Map, once you do take the map and say where you want to go." He looks at connor briefly, "it wont be a pleasant trip for Jon but it is nessesary for you to get home. Hopefully this trip should innoculate your biology against ecton radiation."
"Wait radiation," wally yelps.
"Its harmless to humans, mostly. Its the fastest way to get back to Earth, youre on the other side of the universe kids. Now, once you're back on earth tell the Map to return home and let go. So take the map, i need to go speak to the chief for a bit. Thank you for being here and letting me help." Danny groans as he slowly gets up and walks over to the chief's tent.
"Do you think he's okay," Megan asks the group as Tim looks the rolled up map over.
Connor watches as Danny leaves, "He's low on energy. Like how Kryptonians are without yellow sunlight."
"Unfortunately we cant focus that right now, grab hands its time to go." They each take the others hand as Tim holds up the map, "take us to the Justice Leagues Watchtower on Earth." The map unfurls as a blue energy grows over the group as they begin floating and the scroll begins to drag them across the sky, a similar crack as before opens before them and swallows them up and the next couple of seconds are filled with blurred visions of vast green voids, purple doors and massive beasts lurking in the distance, the eyes following the team as the fly past.
As quickly as it began its over as a final crack tosses them out at a fast speed into the Justice Leagues cafeteria, scattering on impact and flinging food everywhere as the security systems begin to screech as the team sigh in relief.
"We're home..."
***
"So you mean to tell us you've been trapped on another planet for all this time," Barry asks as the members of young justice sit at the conference table with the other adult members of the justice league.
"Yes sir."
Batman is pensive as hes thinking, "and this entity called you by your names?"
"Mostly, he thought Kon el and I were our younger counterparts."
"Hnn."
Kid Flash leans over to Megan and whispers, "that's bat for I dont like this." Barry cuffs him over the head.
"So should I return the map to Danny?"
"Did someone say my name," a chipper young voice says as he sticks his head through the table, familiar glowing green eyes and white hair who freezes at the sight of the map, "how do you have that? B What's going on?"
"The young justice team has been stranded on a distant planet for several weeks, they just got back with the help of this artifact. Do you recognise it?"
"Course I do, don't know how you have it because its supposed to be with FB in the zone."
"Wait a second," megan exclaims, suddenly recognizing the static she was getting from him "You're Danny! What happened to Stelo?"
"Who?" That takes the wind out of her sails, "oh... i get whats going on here. Classic time travel, don't tell me anything. If you have the map then FB or I gave it to you for a reason. You should send it back."
"Do as he says Robin," Batman says nodding in understanding.
Tim takes the map in his hand, "go back home, uh... map?" He drops it as it unfurls and zooms off through another green crack. "What's all this about?"
"Dunno," Danny says as he leans back as he floats through the table, "hasn't happened yet."

Little more detail on what happened between the gods in the Sheo'lp's tale. Their sun was going supernova and Phantom in a last ditch effort to save the planet wrapped his being around the planet as the sun exploded around them. His ice core cooling the suns now explosive heat, his body giving them stars to look at and his core to give them light. Their planet is essentially a terrarium surrounded by a critical nuclear reactor. Due to time dialation from earth to there hes been holding back the sun for over a thousands of years by the point YJ arrive.
The festival is a recreation of the fenton portal that they offer one of their own for Phantom to overshadow to partake in their food and drink as thanks. Once he runs out of energy from the crystals his overshadow breaks and he returns to his duty leaving the host with memories to later become the chief and lead their people with their knowledge.

DP x DC Writing Prompt #9
"Are you sure about this?" J'onn asks, reading the discontent amongst the Kents. Clark and Lois each have a hand on their teenage son's shoulders, who several weeks prior was aged ten years old.
"We're sure," Clark says. He is not, nor is his wife. But his son is, who lays his hand on his mother's and squeezes. It is that surety that J'onn honors as he delves into the young (but not as young as he should be) man's mind.
The memories are hard to find but not gone, hidden behind what Jon can only see manifested as a glowing green wall. When he raises a tentative hand, the shield sparks green, but does no harm. Pushing through is like wading through the consistency of jello, which he finds an overall unpleasant experience. But he is unharmed as he passes through.
Before J'onn can sort through the memories he is all but sucked into the one at the forefront, where a Jon most similar in visage to the one recently returned perches on the edge of a building. Beside him lies a burger, partially unwrapped though uneaten, and a small soda.
As the memory builds out a sun sets on a small suburban town, and a muscled thigh knocks into Jon's, an older man with a shock of white hair and eyes the same light and color as the shield formed around these memories appearing. He's tall even sitting, likely about as tall as Superman, and looks to be in his thirties. A full body suit comprised of black and silver accents stretches across broad shoulders, a stylized D on his chest. He knocks his thigh into Jon's again.
"You said I couldn't go back," Jon says quietly.
"I lied," the man says lightly.
"You're lying now," Jon says, glaring at him. "I can hear your heart."
"Nice try, kiddo, I don't have a heart in this form," the man says, reaching a hand out, presumably to ruffle his hair. Jon dodges.
"I know you're lying. You would've told me. You would've helped me get home."
"Jon--"
"You're protecting Clockwork, aren't you?" Jon demands, eyes beginning to burn red. "That old coot decided it wasn't enough to play with you, he had to play with me too."
The man slaps a hand over Jon's eyes. "Breathe, like we practiced," he instructs firmly. Steam rises from where his palm meets Jon's eyes, but if it hurts he shows no indication. "In, 2, 3. Out, 2, 3."
Jon whimpers but heaves a breath, and the burst of red light dies down from between the man's fingers. His hand moves down to Jon's shoulder.
"I can't pretend to understand Clockwork's decisions," the man says, as tears begin to pool in Jon's eyes. "Frankly, I don't want to. I suspect they are hard decisions to make, sometimes."
"I don't get why you defend him," Jon says. "Dumbledore acting bastard."
"Language," the man says, lightly bopping him on the head. J'onn notes the boy actually winces, as if the blow hurts.
"I am upset with him, I hope you know that," the man continues. "But at the end of the day I'm also grateful. Because I got to meet you." He hooks an arm around Jon's shoulders, pulling him in. "And now you'll get to see your family again. And Sally, Arnold, and Damian!"
Jon sniffles, rubbing roughly at his face. He leans into the man's bicep. A trusted adult figure, then. One he's described his life to. A life, J'onn is sad to note, he appears to have lived for the past six years, as opposed to a sudden shift in appearance. Jon's next question all but confirm it: "Can I really go back? It's been so long. They'll be all grown up."
"Hey, of course you can," the man says, rubbing his shoulder. "I'm sure they've missed you so much. They'll be so happy to see you again."
Jon starts to smile. "I'm going home."
"You're going home!" The man laughs, shaking him.
"I can finally eat some decent barbecue again!"
"Hey!" the man protests, "The smoker blew up one time!"
Jon continues, beginning to get excited. "And Ma will make her jalapeño cornbread! I never could get it right, I can't wait for you to try it!"
J'onn notes the older man's smile fading, eyes growing sad.
"And Damian will definitely want to spar and oh, oh! With you on our side we can totally prank Batman! I bet Alfred will even help! And Mom gives the best hugs, Pops comes really close but Mom will be really excited to meet you, everyone will."
"Jon," The man says.
"I knew you'd be worried about it, but they'll want to meet you," Jon says, clocking his expression. "They'll be grateful. You, you helped me. You kept me safe and taught me how to be Superman. They'll love you, I promise."
"Jon, I can't go with you," the man says gently.
"I'm not saying you stay, but you can visit! I'm sure the Justice League can figure out a way to maintain a portal, they're super used to all that multiverse stuff. Once they have the coordinates, you can stop by whenever!"
"I can't go through the portal, Jon," the man says. "To other worlds, I'm a god. And gods can't interfere. The only reason I can continue to live here is because this is the world of my origin."
Jon gapes at him. "But--but,"
"You're going to see your Mom and Dad again," the man says. "And your brother, and grandparents."
"I can come here, then," Jon says desperately, pushing his way out of the man's arms. The man is already shaking his head. "I can!"
"You can't."
"Why, because Clockwork says so? He's a liar!"
"Because multiverse travel is never a good idea. If you got trapped here again--"
"I wouldn't,"
"You belong with your family,"
"You're my family!" Jon cries. The man freezes. "You, and Sam, and Jazz, and Tucker and Val and Ellie and Pops and Mads, you're all my family! I can't just leave you, I won't!"
"Oh kiddo," The man says, eyes wet. "I love you too. We all do."
"So I'll stay," Jon says decisively. "For all we know my world is a wasteland. Gramps wasn't exactly right in the head when I left. It's better to stay here."
J'onn notes a green vine unwinding from a nearby trellis. It slides down the eave towards the pair.
"You don't mean that," the man is saying.
"I'm sixteen. I can make my own decisions. I'm staying."
The man cups Jon's face. "Your parents did not have a choice in losing you. I'm willing to bet they're devastated. Because I'd be devastated, losing a kid as great as you."
"Maybe they're not even there," Jon says, but the words are half-hearted, and it clearly hurts him to say them.
"I know I seem like a pushover, but if I thought Clockwork was sending you back to anything less than your loving family, I'd destroy him first. And he knows that. They're going to be there, I promise."
"I don't want to go," Jon says. Behind him, the vine rises from the eave of its own will, poised like a cobra enchanted by a snark charmer.
"I know," the man says, eyes drifting to the vine. "I'm so sorry, Jon."
"For what?" Jon asks, as the vine attaches itself to the nape of his neck. His eyes roll back as he collapses into the man's arms. The man hugs him tighter than is strictly necessary.
J'onn expects the memory to now end, alongside Jon's consciousness. To his curiosity, it does not.
"For what it's worth," a young woman spits bitterly, vines supporting her weight as she slips over the side of the roof. "I still think this is horrible." Her eyes are red and miserable.
"Seriously, team punching Dumbledore in the face," A young black man says, appearing in the air supported by a woman almost identical in appearance to the man holding Jon, down to the suit colors. They land on the rooftop.
"Are you sure about this," the dark haired woman with powers over plants asks. "Because to be honest, Danny, I'm five seconds away from punching you in the face."
"Jazz won't speak to you for months," the girl, likely his sister, points out.
"Make it a year," the man says, crossing his arms.
The man, Danny, ignores them all. He cards a hand through Jon's hair. "He'll retain the experience, but not the memories?"
"Yes, he'll be a perfect little superhero, just as you taught him," the woman says, vines twisting agitatedly around her, wrapping around her thigh, wrists and neck almost punishingly.
"Sam," the man says. "He needs to go home. All of you know that."
"He doesn't have to forget us to do so!" the sister bursts, eyes flashing green.
"Remembering would be a torment," Danny says. "He'll know he was loved. That's enough."
"Danny," the plant woman says, sitting beside them both. She puts a gentle hand on his, both on Jon's back. "This is just a different torment."
"And if someone finds out?" Danny asks. He has been patient amidst their scorn, but now a tiny edge ekes into his voice. "A god's child, unprotected? Threatened? He would never stop looking for a way back, and being vocal about it could get him killed."
The others are silent.
"He'll be home. He'll be happy," Danny says. More powerful than a prayer. A directive. He raises his head past the child slumbering in his lap, past them all, face hardening, and says to J'onn: "And you will say nothing."
J'onn takes a step back, fear so thick he could choke on it flooding his very being. Thismanwillkillhim, thismanwillkillhim.
This man will reach through dimensions and kill him.
"Now, get the fuck out of my kid's head," Danny snarls. J'onn is pushed back with enough force he enters his own mind in a vicious whirl that leaves him physically on the floor, gasping.
"I'm sorry," he says as Superman rushes to lift him, and he's not sure who he's apologizing to. Green eyes will pierce his dreams. Vines will crush his throat in his nightmares, screaming silence, silence.
You will say nothing.
"I'm sorry," J'onn says, politely pushing Clark's hands away as he rises. He's already beginning to calm, because he understands. Those are consequences he will not face. He will do as directed. He looks at Jon Kent, bewildered but unharmed, clutching his mother's hand.
J'onn reaches down and dusts at his pants. "I'm sorry," he says evenly, ready to spin his tale. Perhaps the Kents will continue to seek their answers. Perhaps not. He will stay out of it either way. He has been warned.
You were loved by gods. And to keep you safe, they would quiet us all.

Not Letting DamiJon Lose!
I'm not letting the DamiJon Nation lose without a fight, so here is my promo. Why vote DamiJon?
Childhood
These two practically grew up together as the Super Sons. They are each other's closest companions. Jon was the only person that stuck by Damian when no one else did. Even when Damian was about to kill KG Beast, Jon never turned against him. He was the only person that truly reached out to him just to make sure Damian was okay.
After this incident, Jon left the Legion of Super Heroes, hinting at the possibility that he sacrificed his membership for his friend. It could be for other reasons, but considering Saturn Girl kicked Damian out upon his arrival, I'd like to believe the Legion wasn't too fond of him.
2. "I know the sound of your heartbeat"
Even in the very comic where Jon Kent starts dating Jay, it's clear which boy he's much closer with. How can you not see sparks? These two were clearly made for each other both heart and soul!
3. Babysitting Lizzie
These two practically co-parent Lizzie Prince, the daughter of Wonder Woman in Tom King's run, from when she's five until she became the next Wonder Woman. They are still just as close and never change by the time Damian becomes Batman.
4. Even in Other Worlds
When Jon visits the Injustice Earth, he never gives up on Damian. No matter how evil Damian may become, Jon will always see the good in him. There is such a deep understanding these two have for each other.
5. The Promise
The one promise they made was to always protect each other. Damian was so genuine in that promise that he took off his mask. He hardly ever does this, even when making promises. It's clear Damian cares so much for Jon that he will abandon the Teen Titans to protect him.
Even going back to "I know the sound of your heartbeat," Jon said this when Damian was off the grid. This means Jon was the only nonparticipant of the Lazarus Tournament who knew where Damian was when he was off the grid. He's also the only person Damian has ever visited while off-grid, being that is when the Super Sons Special takes place.
6. This right here.
Also...
And...
So, let's get some votes for DamiJon. Co'mon, don't let DickBru catch up! Let's so our love! Vote here for DamiJon!

Superboy vs Robin
Summary: The life of 3 best friends that get confused when realizing they have a crush on their other friend, Y/n Prince, daughter of Wonder Woman Pairings: Jon Kent x Fem! Reader, Damian Wayne x Fem! Reader Tw: Love V [NOT TRIANGLE!!! IT'S A 'V'], Slow Burn? Taglist: N/a
Pt II: Love in High Places | Pt III: Apple of My Eye
[This probably would have been better to write as a multi-part story instead of a one-shot, so I can really get the slow burn and such... Might make a part 2 if yall like this? Also hope this isn't bad because I've been wanting to write this for over a year....]
You had met the two boys when in the league's spaceship. Your mother was on business and sent you off to do, as she put it 'Children things', before taking off with Batman and Green Lattern. You rolled your eyes at her dismissal, but decided to find something else to do. Besides, hero work was boring anway. Nothing interesting about discussing rules and such anyway.
You walked around the large spaceship, before coming across a particular room. In the room where two kids, boys, around your age you didn't recognize. One of the boys, the one in darker clothes, must have felt your presence, because the second you stepped in he turned around.
Damian knew who you were. He knew who everyone was. He would look like a real fool if he didn't know the daughter of Wonder-woman. Too bad the same couldn't be said for Jon.
You awkwardly stand at the door way, now having both the boys' attention on you. You awkwardly wave, "Hey."
Jon's face lights up and he rushes to you. He loved meeting new people and you were nothing short of pretty. "Hi!" He grabs your hand, engulfing it with his own. "I'm Jon, Jon Kent."
"Y/n Prince." You tried to keep up with his handshake, but he was fast and strong, and by the time you could gather what was going on he had already let your hand go.
You looked past Jon back at the emo boy, but he was just staring at you. Jon looked over to see what you were looking at, before gesturing towards his friend.
"Oh, that's Damian. Don't mind him. He's.... Shy."
"I'm not shy. I just don't have any reason to speak to her."
Jon gasps, before glaring at his friend, "That's rude, Damian." He turns back to you, his face flushed in embarrassment. "I'm sorry about him. He's not good with people."
You nod, still staring at Damian. "He's Batman's kid, right? The son of those assassins?"
Damian's eyes widen, but only for a brief second. He could let such an emotion out.
"My mother mentioned it a while ago. She didn't say much, just that you were... Different."
"Yeah, he is different." Jon jokes, causing you both to chuckle, but Damian just rolls his eyes.
---
You and Jon stuck your faces to the fish tank. Neither of you had ever seen a fish tank before. You were both stuck in the house by your parents in fear of you revealing yourselves on accident. Your parents have isolated you both- Even Damian was isolated, but he wasn't as naive and foolish as you and Jon.
"Oh, that one's purple," You point to a triangle-shaped fish.
"No, it's a dark blue," Jon argues, causing you to side-eye him.
You rolled your eyes, but don't respond.
"Hey, Y/n."
"Yeah, Jon?"
He looks over at you, wide eyed and excited, "You ever been Tire-rolling?"
"Tire-rolling?"
---
"I don't know if this is a good idea, Jon-" You try and reason, as your hands grip the tire's rubber.
He smiles, his hands gripping the tire, "Oh, it'll be fun. Promise!" He then pushes you, but instead of pushing you at a normal strength, he accidentally uses his super strength and sends you flying. His eyes widen as his mouth drops, before he runs after you, hoping you don't get hurt.
You scream as the tire jumps and hits multiple things while going faster than you've ever gone before. You grip the inside of the tire so hard, that you can feel your nails digging into your palm. You hear cars honking, but there's nothing you can do, without using your powers.
Though, luck must have been on your side, because while you're mid way in the air, something goes through the tire and harshly pulls you down. Your face slams into the tire, your hands ripping the tire's rubber. The tire falls flat on the ground and you sit up, rubbing your head.
Above you was the one and only, Damian Wayne. He was in his school uniform and he was looking down at you annoyed. In his hand was a grappling hook, which you assume he used to save you.
You quickly stand up, brushing off your clothes, "Uh, thanks."
Before Damian can respond, like he would, you hear Jon calling out to you.
"Y/n! Oh my god, Y/n! Are you okay?" He's nearly out of breath as he runs up to you before he stops. "Oh. Uh, hi Damian."
There's a moment of awkward silence, before Jon goes back to his normal self.
"What are you doing, Damian?"
"Nothing." Damian is quick, calculated even.
You had only known the two boys for a few months, but it felt like you had known Jon your whole life and this moment felt like the first time meeting Damian. Though, Damian was busy, so you couldn't really blame him. He was the son of a man with an empire and an assassination group. He was bound to be tied up from time to time.
"Uh, do you want to hang out, Damian?"
Damian is taken by surprise. You wanted to hang out? With him? Why?
Jon went to speak for Damian, but Damian interrupts him, "Sure."
"Really?" Both you and Jon speak at the same time, before you both blush out of embarrassment.
"I mean, great. Wow, okay. Yeah, let's hang out."
---
Damian groaned, before laying down on the roof. He could hear Jon and Y/n snickering to themselves, probably over something stupid. He closes his eye, their voices slowly fading from his mind. He didn't know how you had convinced him to hang out with you on a roof in the middle night.
He didn't like you, so he didn't know why he listened to you. He had no reason to care about what you said or thought, but yet here he was.
You had some kind of pull over him and he didn't know why. There was nothing about you that was different from the other superheroes. Sure, you were pretty, but so was Starfire, Raven, Super-woman, etc.
He looks over at you as you lean on Jon's shoulder, whispering some secret into his ear. He wondered what secrets you two were sharing. Maybe if he asked you'd let him in? He didn't know.
He takes his eyes off of you and looks back at the sky. It was a dark and cloudy night, like most nights in Gotham. Though, unlike most nights, it was quiet; Almost peaceful.
It bothered Damian. More than he'd like to admit. He felt an ich in his skin, like he was supposed to be doing something, but there was nothing to do. There was no fight to fight or crime to solve. It was peaceful for the first time in a long time.
---
Jon liked you, a lot. Like more than he's ever liked someone in his life. He feels immense emotions when he's around you, even if your mother doesn't like him. Though, your mother didn't like men period.
He was thankfully you didn't receive that quality from your mother. You were much nicer and happier than your mother. But that could be because you weren't tortured in the same way your mother was by the women of Themyscira.
In fact, they adored you. They treated you like some kind of goddess and cherished you. Jon understood though. You were perfect- At least to him you were. He thought everyone should treat you like the perfect person you are because you deserve nothing less.
---
You were alone with Damian for the first time in all the years you've known each other. You sighed, squeezing your eyes shut. You didn't know how you were going to tell them you were going to be leaving for Themyscira.
Your mother wanted you to be trained by the Amazons to be able to control your powers and abilities. While she herself was banished, she knew they would welcome you with welcome arms.
You knew Jon would take it hard, but it was only going to be for a year. Just a year. A year you'd be away from your best friends. So, there was a part of you that hoped if you told Damian first, it'd be easier to break it to Jon.
"So, when do you leave?"
You looked over at Damian, confused, "Leave?"
"I heard your mother talking to my father. She said she was sending you to Themyscira to train. So," He sits up on his bed, making direct eye contact with you, "when do you leave?"
"Next month. I'll be gone for a year."
"A year?"
"Yeah. My mom wanted me to stay for 3, but I was able to talk her down from it."
"Have you told Jon?"
"No..."
"Well, you know he's not going to react well."
"Yeah. That's why I've been procrastinating it."
"Can I write you?"
You frown, "No. The island is cut off from the world. So, no contact at all. Not even with my mom."
He now frowns, but says nothing more.
---
You sigh, leaning on your hand, your sword tossed on the ground. Before you stood Philippus, your mentor.
"Princess Y/n, what is bothering you so?"
You couldn't tell her you missed your friends. If she knew they were boys you knew you would get scolded. The Amazons didn't like men, because they were chaos and destruction and they were peaceful. A part of you understood, because you've seen the terrible things men can do, but your friends- they weren't like those men.
"Nothing... Just tired."
She takes your answer, even though she knows you're lying. You were frustrated and annoyed. You had been here for a month and found yourself making no progress. This was pointless.
You could have been with your friends, but here you were on some stupid island. You wanted to your friends.
"You know, if you don't get these down in the upcoming year, you'll have to stay."
You straighten up and glare at the woman. "No, I won't-"
Philippus quickly turns around, looking at you offended, "Excuse me?"
"Nothing." You quickly respond not wanting to repeat yourself.
She huffs, rolling her eyes, but decides to leave the conversation.
---
It had been a year since you were forced, by your mother, to train on the Themyscira Island. They wanted you to know how to use your powers to the fullest potential. It was fine... But you missed your friends. You wondered what they were doing. You wondered if they missed you too.
---
Jon was estatic. You were finally going to return from the island. Though, there was a part of him that was worried that you wouldn't remember them or even worse, you would hate them.
"You worry too much," Damian told him.
Jon sighs, trying to collect himself, "I'm just worried." Jon fiddles on his toes, as he repeated looks out of the window, hoping to see you pull up. Though, you were no where to be found. He walks away from the window, his shoulders dropping. "How far is that place?"
"Themyscira? It's a few weeks by boat, but she'll be here soon. She's home now."
Jon lightens up, "Home?"
"Yeah, she won't be here for a few more hours."
Jon glares at Damian, "You had me here looking like an idiot!"
Damian chuckles, "Yeah. I did, didn't I?"
---
Damian wasn't surprised by your appearance, unlike Jon. Damian had already seen you, without you knowing of course. You think he'd let you leave without any kind of contact? He knew everything, thanks to his connections. Though, nothing could compare to you really being in front of you.
Jon was the first to hug you. His arms squeezed you tightly, nearly causing you to lose your breath. He didn't want to let you go- Just hold you forever. He didn't want you leaving forever, but he was forced to let you go.
"You look great, Y/n."
You smile, a blush forming, "You too, Jon." You look around Jon to see Damian, who was avoiding eye contact. It almost reminded you of when you had first met the boys. "No hug, Damian?"
Damian finally looks at you, his natural glare on his face. Unlike Jon, who had let his hair grow out, Damian still had shorter hair, but his features were sharp. Though, that didn't surprise you. What did take you by surprise though is how much he looked like his father.
While Jon looked like a mix of Clark and Lois, Damian just looked like his father. Well, minus his golden skin- He got that from his mother.
Speaking of Jon, you felt him squeeze your bi-cep. You looked at him confused and he blushed.
"Uh, what are you doing, Jon?"
"Your biceps. They're like... Huge." He's fascinated by your arms, even comparing it to his own. While he was naturally strong, because of his powers, you had trained relentlessly for a year and it showed when your arms were bigger than his.
You chuckled at his amusement, before his eyes lit up, "Ah, Y/n you've missed out on so much- Come on," He grabs your arm, leading you inside the headquaters of the Justice League. You are stopped though when Damian grabs your arm that Jon didn't have. Jon looks back, wondering why you stopped when realizing Damian had grabbed you.
"Jon, why don't you head up. I just want to talk to Y/n."
Jon seems reluctant, but you turn to him, "I'll catch up. Promise."
He sighs, but ultimately goes up the stairs and inside the building.
"You look nice."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"That means a lot coming from you, you know?"
Damian avoids eye contact. He's worried that you might see all his emotions, feelings and thoughts. He didn't want you knowing his darkest thoughts. "Yeah.. Uh, Jon missed you a lot... Obviously. Um..." Damian had never been like this- Lost for words. He always knew what to say. He had everything calculated, but now... Well, he felt lost. He felt your stare on him, waiting for him to finish, but he felt his tongue felt twisted. "It's good to have you back."
"Yeah, well, it's good to be back. You know, I've missed you a lot... And Jon. I've missed you both a lot."
Damian finally looks at you. Your eyes bleeding into his own. For a moment it felt like you two were the only ones in the world. Everything else was just dark and all that was left was you. That was until another voice spoke.
"Y/n."
You both looked up to see your mother. She gestured for you to come inside and you looked back at Damian.
"Well, I guess that I have to go."
"Yeah... I'll see yah."
"Yeah... you will."
You rush up the stairs, trying to stop the blush from forming on your face. You were so embarrassed and felt like the conversation was stupid. You wished you could have done it differently, but it was Damian. You were sure he wasn't as pressed about it as you.
If only you knew how much your life was about to change forever- All thanks to teenage boys' puberty.

The Teen Three - Social Rescue
Platonic!Jon Kent x WonderGirl!Reader x Platonic!Damian Wagne
Summary: Jon’s high school years were rough. Subject to nasty teasing, Damian and Y/n have devised plans to make Jon a little more popular.
A/n: this story is lame! Sorry! Maybe I should focus on some other bat boys for a while.
It only took a ‘promposal gone wrong to plummet Jon’s social credit.
At one point of time, Jon was the quite kid no one paid attention to. His presence masked by his rambunctious cohort. Now Jon is front and centre of his High Schools attention.
Jon is now known as the kid who was humiliatingly rejected by the prettiest and most popular girl in school.
“Pfft, you’ve got to be kidding… is this a joke?” Beverly’s cruel tone filling the air with heavy dread, her humourless laugh as she side eyes her friends who seem to also be snickering at Jon’s expense. The bouquet of flowers now limp in Jon’s outstretched hands. He wants to sprint away and hide under a rock, but he’s too humiliated to move a muscle. His cheeks burning red in embarrassment. God why did he ask out Beverly, so publicly? Everyone walking into the main entrance is now witnessing his promposal rejection. Beverly lips curl into a thin line, she sees his eyes becoming quickly glossy as he stares at the floor. “Um… so like… I’m not going to prom with you… honestly I don’t even know why you’d even ask. Like… we barely know each-other.” She looks towards her friends awkwardly, as if silently discussing how weird it is that Jon asked her to prom. Not knowing what else to say, Beverly just shuffles off with her group.
The circle of students that had slowly formed around, began to disperse at Beverlys departure, some feeling sorry, and some being amused at his expense.
————
Its prom night and it’s been long since Jon flopped onto his bed where he continued to limply exist.
His mind continues reeling at the humiliating rejection. His heart clenched painfully seeing his ‘promposal fail’ posted online. Many comments left under the video talking about what a looser he is for even asking the hottest girl in school out.
It’s been days since the incident and the teasing and passive remarks are not letting up.
Jon was feeling pathetic and embarrassed, there was no way on earth he would dare step foot into his high school gym.
But just like always, the door to Jon’s bedroom slams open.
“Get up looser, we’re going to prom.” Y/n’s voice rings out. Jon rolls away from the wall only to see his best friends Y/n and Damian standing in the doorway. Y/n stands statuesque in her WonderGirl uniform, whilst Damian leans against the frame with a laundered Armani suit slung over his shoulders.
“Are you mentally challenged? We are here to make him feel better, not to insult him. He already feels bad enough.” Damian reprimands Y/n, which she only shrugs off, snatching the suit from Damian’s hands and throws it on top of Jon.
“Either you can get yourself dress and get into Damian’s car or… Damian and I will dress you.” Jon only grunts rolling onto his back.
“Why? I don’t have a date. Everyone will just stare and gossip. I’m already embarrassed enough.” Y/n slowly sinks onto Jon’s bed and pokes him in the ribs.
“I will go to prom with you as WonderGirl. When everyone sees that your brought a super hero as your date, no one will even remember about your promposal fail!” She announces, buzzing in excitement which only makes Jon stare at her blankly.
“We are not meant to abuse our alter egos like this.” Jon drawls with only makes Damian roll his eyes. “I’m not going and that’s final. I’d rather just hang with you two.”
“Aw Jonny, love you too!” Y/n says, pulling Jon into a bone crushing hug that only a kryptonian could survive. “Okay so since you refuse, Damian and I will take matters into our own hands.”
Damian and Y/n share a look before nodding. “Wait - wait- not again! I’ll dress myself! I’ll dress myself!” Jon pleads, rearing from his bed and ripping open the suit protector.
————
Jon’s prom entrance was just filled with oh’s and ah’s.
Not only did Jon walk the carpet with a fresh Armani suit, he had the illustrious WonderGirl hanging off his arm. The teen beauty that was on every teens wall. She was every boys dream girl, and every girl wanted to be her. In the public’s eye, she was Americas sweetheart. The girl next door that had a dazzling smile and eyes that were enchanting.
WonderGirl behaved like the perfect date. Always smiling and giggling with Jon. But the hoard of students and teachers were all too keen for photos and autographs. Jon had to break away from the crowd to catch a breath.
“Hey Kent! How’d you score WonderGirl?! You have to tell me your secret man!” A boy that Jon had never spoken to before, claps Jon’s back as if they were familiar pals. Jon locks eyes onto Beverly, whom angrily has her arms crossed over her chest, she decidedly took strides forward
“Jon, can I speak to you for a moment?” Beverly asks pointedly. Beverly begins to stare down the random boy standing next to Jon, silently demanding he leaves the two alone. The boy only awkwardly steps back, leaving the two.
“I didn’t mean for my rejection to come across so cold. I saw the video online and I felt so bad about what others were saying. Just so you know, I’m not sorry I rejected you, because every woman has the right to say no without feeling bad, I’m just sorry you were publicly embarrassed and that people were mean about it.” Jon’s face scrutinised at Beverly’s apology. She’s sorry, but not really? “I didn’t want to go to prom with you because I don’t even know anything about you. I thought you were just asking me out for clout and it just made me angry to be used like that.”
“Okay… I wasn’t asking you out for ‘clout’, I had the biggest crush on you, so I decided to ask you out.” Jon vents, to which Beverly only continues to stare down at him.
“Yeah well…. Why do you like me?”
“What?” Jon sputters.
“What is it about me that you like?”
“Um, well you’re nice…”
“No I’m not, I’m blunt, there’s nothing nice about it. What else do you like about me that isn’t surface level?” He really couldn’t think of a single thing. He liked Beverly because she had a sweet smile, was always laughing, and just having a good time, never being concerned with how others felt.
“Um…” It was in this moment, Jon understood. Beverly wasn’t a cruel girl by any means, she was angry that someone was admitting their feelings, which Beverly believe was disingenuous. She’s right, Jon didn’t know her at all, he just liked the idea of her.
“You can’t think of a single thing can you? It’s because you don’t even know me. So why would I go to prom with you? You see what I’m saying?” Jon only nods solemnly, he was too caught up in his own devastation, he had already decided Beverly was a cruel and mean girl, but the reality was that Beverly was just getting asked on a date by a stranger. “Good I’m glad we got that clear…. So can you introduce me to WonderGirl? I’m literally obsessed with her- please?”
Jon only sighs and nods in agreement which causes Beverly to excitedly clap and jump on the spot.
It’s so unfair.
How does Y/n always win? She wasn’t even part of the drama to begin with.

How the superfamily handle situations like this
Jon: Damian.
Damian (struggling to pin Jon to the ground): Silence! I’m going to defeat you!
Jon: Damian, this isn't a fight you can win.
Damian stepped back, clearly frustrated.
Damian: I’m built different! I will take you to the ground!
He grabbed Jon's arm and tried to flip him, but when it fails, he rushes at Jon and attempts to push him to the ground again.
Meanwhile, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne watched from a distance. Clark gestured for Jon to go down.
Jon sighed, but pretended that his knees were buckling.
Jon (bored): Oh no... you're pinning me... this can't be happening.
Taking his cue, Jon slowly dropped to his knees then fell to the ground.
Jon: Oh no, you’ve done it.
Damian (beaming with pride): Ah-ha! I told you! I've defeated a Kryptonian again!
Jon (with a warm smile): You sure did, pal. And you didn't even need the magic rock that can kill us too.
Damian happily danced while Jon stayed on the ground, enjoying the moment.
Bruce to Clark: Did you just make your son pretend to lose so my son could win?
Clark: Yep.
Bruce: Have you done that to me?
Clark: Numerous times.
Bruce (with a resigned acceptance): Thanks for being honest.

Supersons +1 prompt answer
If you asked Danny, 12 year old half-ghost hero of Amity Park, how half-life was going, he'd tell you things were mixed.
On the one hand, he had just spent the last three or four months in family/scientist/'this house is a death trap waiting to happen' therapy with Jazz, and by some miracle, it worked. He wasn't sure if this was some kind of dream as his parents poured over years upon years of research, crossing out lines, rewriting equations, and reevaulating everything they thought they knew about ghosts.
Was the shudders family therapy worth not going over how they'd like to dissect him? he's still not sure. The horror.
Not to mention the attention. Danny was sure he was going to throw up if his parents drag him away for more bonding time, only for a ghost to attack and for him to run off to transform. What made it worse was when the Fentons came barrelling out, guns blazing, alternating between getting mad that he'd interrupted their family time, and asking him questions about "Your suspicious spook culture, if you even have one you dangerous delusional delinquent!"
At least they were trying, but Danny was very much comfortable not spilling the beans on the whole half-ghost situation, thank you very much.
And that's why, when Dad proposed to take him to Gotham to show off their latest invention, he jumped at the chance. The home city of the Batman, one of the greatest heroes known to man (except for Martian Manhunter and Superman of course) and Dad promised to take him to Gotham Observatory too. Not to mention how much he wanted to get away from Jazz's smug looks of superiority. Gotham here he comes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damian Wayne scowled as he scanned the crowed of scientists with more smarts than sense. Really, a flying toilet seat. For what deviant?
"Maybe they're for people who can fly." Kent piped up beside him. Father had let the two of them run off together, and his company was mildly more appealing than being alone with his thoughts.
"Why would Superman ever need to relieve himself mid-air. I do not believe you would appreciate your father's rear end being on display for all the world to see."
"True." Jon hummed. His voice lowered to a whisper. "You think indecent exposure is what your dad meant by "scoping out any potential future villains?"
Damian gave Jon a flat look. The sooner this convention ended, the better.
The crowded shifted, and the mass of visitors pushed toward a certain corner, where a man large enough to rival Superman's build stood upon a podium, with a boy their age off to the side.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the latest in FentonWorks' innovations, the Fenton Ghost Zone Radar, soon to revolutionise the study of ghosts!"
"I thought ghosts were a magic thing." Jon said. "You know, stuff Constantine and JLD deal with."
"They are."
"Mixing magic and science is like, like, oil and water. No way this guy's serious, is he?"
"His name is Jack Fenton. That's Daniel Fenton, his son." Damian pointed to the boy in question, looking like he'd seen this scene a hundred times before, but with that knowing glint that promised something deeper. "They're normally spotted alongside Jack's wife, Madeline. Widely regarded as quacks by the larger scientific community for chasing paper-thin theories about ghosts, they've nonetheless gained funding from the government. This is the first time they've left their base of operations in Amity Park for years."
"Woah, you know your stuff, Dami!"
Damian glared at the young Superboy in disguise. "I read the briefing files. Didn't you?"
Kent looked uncomfortable and looked away. "Uhh, maybe?"
"Typical."
"Well, if he's so crazy, then why'd your dad even let him in." Upon another scathing glare, Kent relented. "Oh right, the whole supervillain thing."
"Enough chatter. We'll zero in on the younger Fenton. I intend to squeeze him like a grape, and make Father proud."
"Dami maybe you should be a little nicer-" Only for Damian to march off without him.
Honestly, inane niceties were above someone of his status. Those things were Superboy's job, and if Daniel Fenton wouldn't crack, then Damian was itching to try a new torture technique.
I imagine that the batkids do know how to pump gas but they do the thing where there's one slightly more competent person so they make THEM do it every time they leave state borders, while the rest of them whine in the car about how it's too hard. Jersey girls don't pump gas.
Least funny options to funniest options on who's sacrificed to the gas station:
Jason. Would be annoyed, but wouldn't blink. Easy peasy.
Tim. Stone cold silent. Doesn't admit he's struggling so it just takes like an extra fifteen minutes for no reason.
Dick. Oldest child. Probably out of practice but can get it done. Fumbles with the gas cap. Whines the whole time.
Duke. Does not know how to pump gas. Has to have someone who works there explain it to him the first five times he does it.
Steph. Took the motto too seriously. Genuinely can't pump gas. Resents that she's been made to.
Cass. Who taught her? When? How? Why?! She's so smug the entire time. Competency Queen. She doesn't even have to be pushed to do it, the showoff.
Damian. Of course he knows how to. Knowing him, he probably teaches Jon Kent how to do it too. Tiny icon. Short king. Has to stand on his tiptoes to reach the gas cap. Meanwhile the whole car is stocked with adult vigilantes who really, really, REALLY don't want to, the losers.
Not a batkid:
Bruce. Regularly forgets non-combat-based skills. Usually only gasses up in his stupid man cave. Has to call Alfred to remind him how to use the damn machine.
➤ find something worth saving (it's all for the taking)
CHAPTER FIFTEEN: AND THE WORLD KEPT SPINNING
← back to chapter list
SUMMARY ↳ Jealousy, jealousy! "I thought you weren't dating anyone?" You blink. "I'm. Not. I told you, we agreed to be better off as friends." Jon furrows his brows. "But she kissed you? And you guys facetime?" pairing: jon kent x gn!reader x damian wayne warnings: jealousy? wc: 3.7k
You wake up to barking in your face.
Blinking away sleep, the first thing you see this morning is Titus. The cute little guy is barking right at you. You smile under the blanket and reach out to pet him. It quiets him down, thankfully.
“Tt. Finally, you’re awake.”
Damian standing behind Titus with his arms crossed, looking down on you. He has this look of this disdain, but you’ve been around him long enough to know it’s not genuine. You sit up slowly, giving Titus one last gentle pat on the head before focusing on Damian. "Good morning, Damian," you say, your voice still slightly husky from sleep. "What's got you up so early?"
He shifts slightly, his arms still crossed, but you notice a faint twitch at the corner of his lips, almost a suppressed smile. "It’s not early. You overslept," he remarks dryly.
You stretch lazily under the blanket, feeling the warmth of the morning sun filtering through the window. "I guess I did," you admit with a sheepish grin. "What time is it?"
"Almost mid-morning," Damian replies, unfolding his arms and stepping closer. "Jon and I were starting to wonder if you'd decided to sleep through the entire day."
“Jon’s here?”
“He stayed the night.” Oh. Hm. “Pennyworth has food for you downstairs.”
You nod, processing the information. It wasn't entirely surprising given how tight-knit Damian and Jon are. Really tight-knit. "Thanks, Damian. I'll head down soon."
Damian nods once, eyes assessing your figure before he turns to leave the room, Titus following obediently at his heels. You swing your legs out of bed, stretching again before grabbing some clothes and heading downstairs.
Alfred is already in the kitchen when you arrive, setting out a simple but hearty breakfast (brunch?) spread. "Good morning," he greets you warmly, his eyes knowing, always knowing.
"Morning, Alfred," you greet back with a trying smile. You settle into your seat at the table, feeling more awake as you take in the delicious smells wafting from the food. As you settle at the table, you notice Jon standing off to the side, his eyes glued to his phone. He looks up, eyes widening when he sees you. He quickly makes his way over to you. “[Name]! Hi.”
You chuckle. “Hi, Jon.”
Jon grins, his eyes lighting up with a warmth that makes you feel instantly more awake. “I was starting to think you’d never wake up,” he teases, sliding into the seat across from you.
“Well I’m here now,” you hum, taking a sip of tea. “Did you sleep well?”
"Yep," Jon says, stretching. "Damian and I stayed up talking for a while. You know how he gets." You only hum, taking a longer sip of your tea.
Damian walks into the kitchen just then, having changed into his usual training gear. He gives Jon a quick nod before turning his attention to you. “I see you made it downstairs without collapsing,” he remarks.
"Yeah, well, I figured I’d save Alfred the trouble of finding my body," you reply with a smirk, taking a bite of the warm, fluffy pancakes Alfred has prepared.
"Smart decision," Damian says, grabbing an apple from the counter. "Jon and I have training planned for this morning. Care to join us?"
You glance at Jon, who looks equally enthusiastic about the idea, then back at Damian. "Uh, sure. Why not?"
"Don't take too long," Damian replies, already heading out of the kitchen with Jon following closely behind him.
You finish your breakfast, savoring the last bites of Alfred's delicious cooking. With a satisfied sigh, you head back to your room and change into your training gear—a simple tank top and sweats will do.
When you make your way to the training area, you find Damian already warming up, his movements precise and controlled. The sound of fists hitting the punching bag and occasional grunts bounce around the room. Jon is next to him, stretching and chatting animatedly. They both pause when they see you enter.
Jon grins widely. "There you are.”
Damian nods in acknowledgment, his expression serious but his eyes holding a hint of amusement. "Took you long enough," he remarks, a touch of teasing in his tone.
You roll your eyes playfully. "I had to savor Alfred's cooking while I could."
Jon laughs, clapping you on the shoulder. "Can't blame you there. Alfred's food is the best."
Damian gestures towards the sparring mats. "Enough chatter. Let's begin."
You join them on the mats, stretching briefly to loosen up. Jon takes his position opposite you, while Damian circles around, observing with a critical eye. "We'll start with some basic drills," Damian instructs, his voice firm. "Jon, you remember the routine?"
Jon nods eagerly. "Of course.”
You shift, widening your stance like Natasha showed you. To normal people, you don’t look ready for a fight at all, but a trained eye can see the way your shoulders are squared, the way your arms are tense. A trained eye like Damian’s.
Speaking of, he is making his way over to you. His hand lays on your back, forcing you to straighten your posture. His touch roams your body as he makes small little adjustments. His touch lingers for a moment longer than strictly necessary, a silent communication. Jon, meanwhile, waits patiently, his focus shifting between you and Damian, gaze intense.
You pray that he lets go soon, because his kind-of boyfriend (the one that can split you in half, and not in a good way) is looking really hard at you both right now. Damian nods once he’s satisfied with your form, hand sliding off of you. He steps back, arms folded and ready to assess.
“We’ll start with some basic striking drills,” Damian suggests, stepping back to give you space. His demeanor is focused, precise, as he guides both you and Jon through the movements. The air in the training room fills with the rhythmic sounds of punches and kicks, each movement honed through years of practice and discipline.
Jon moves with an infectious energy, his enthusiasm palpable as he encourages you and offers pointers. Damian, ever the perfectionist, corrects your form with a sharp eye and occasional terse comments that carry more encouragement than criticism.
After what feels like hours, Damian calls for a break. You sit down onto the mat, breathing out of your nose but feeling exhilarated. Jon flops down next to you, not looking tired at all and grinning. "You’re getting faster," he remarks, wiping sweat from his brow.
"You too," you jest, giving him a friendly nudge. "Though I still think I could take you in a real fight."
Jon laughs, the sound light and infectious. "We’ll see about that."
Damian and Jon exchange a look, their expressions softening as they glance at each other and then back at you. Jon leans in closer, his voice low but playful. "Careful, [Name]. Damian might get jealous if you start favoring me over him."
Damian scoffs. “[Name] would be a fool to not recognize the superior combatant.”
“Yeah, that’s me, right?”
You smile at their banter, eyes bouncing between them. They bounce off of each other so seamlessly, effortlessly. They know each other. What’s that one saying? To be known is to be loved. Suddenly you feel suffocated.
“Well.” You get up and pull your arms up, stretching. It’s a good stretch, one that makes you groan. You feel their eyes on you. “I should go back to the Den. I really gotta start calibrating the badassium,” you pause just outside of the door, thinking, “and make more, actually.”
Damian and Jon exchange a quick glance, their banter trailing off as you mention leaving. Jon's playful demeanor softens into a more earnest expression, and Damian watches you with a hint of curiosity.
"Already?" Jon asks, sitting up slightly as if to keep you from leaving just yet.
You hesitate, feeling the weight of their attention on you. Jon's expression shifts slightly, almost as if he's disappointed by your decision to leave. Damian, ever composed, watches you with that familiar intensity, his gaze unreadable but observant.
"Yeah," you reply with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. "Work doesn’t get done itself, you know."
Jon looks over at Damian, who is watching you carefully. "Well, if you need any help, just let us know," Jon offers warmly, his tone genuine.
Damian nods in agreement, though his expression remains somewhat guarded. "Indeed. Our resources are at your disposal."
With a final nod and smile, you leave the room. Your hearing picks up and bickering as you walk. Back to their regularly scheduled programming that fast, huh. You shake your head, quickly making your way outside the manor. You won’t bother Alfred, so you’ll catch the subway.
“[Name]!” Or not.
Jon jogs over to you, who is just steps outside of the manor’s grounds. “Let me take you there.”
You shake your head. “Jon, it’s fine–”
Jon decides that it is not fine, apparently, because he wastes no time in scooping you up into his arms and taking off. What the hell, not even a warning?
You wrap your arms around his neck so as to not fall out of his grip (not that he’d ever let you go). “You’re in civvies–”
“No one will see.” You scoff at his assuredness. The wind whips past you, biting at your arms. Ah shit, you should’ve changed before going out. Jon notices your miniscule shiver, tightening his grip around you.
"You know, you didn't have to do this," you remark, raising your voice slightly over the wind.
Jon grins, his expression playful. "Maybe I just wanted an excuse to carry you," he teases, his tone light but sincere.
You sigh, letting the conversation die. You arrive at the Den in record time thanks to his super speed. Jon sets you down gently, touch lingering. "There you go," he says with a smile, stepping back to let you stand on your own.
“Thank you,” you say, despite yourself. You smooth down your clothes, batting away his hand (gently and with a smile so as to not hurt his feelings) when it reaches out to help. “You should start charging for your services.”
“Nah. You’re my only customer anyway,” he hums. God, can he not do that? “Well, you and Damian.” Right. Right right right.
You chuckle softly. "I feel so special." You turn and enter the Den, Jon having moved the rocks already.
With a nod, Jon watches you for a moment longer before turning to leave. "Take care, [Name]. See you soon."
"Yeah, see you," you reply, waving as he heads back towards Wayne Manor. You stand there for a moment, watching him go wistfully before turning to your work station.
You make three more duplicates of the badassium, just for now. The first one will power your nanite chamber, which you can now start building, finally. The sound of metal bending under your hands fills the space.
“Wait, so, does that make you a Bat?” You lied, Victoria’s voice also fills the space. It had been a while since you two had talked, so you thought a facetime would be nice. She’s in a lavish lounge dress, surrounded by even more lavish decor.
“Nah, I still got my own thing going on. We just work together. Like co-workers.” You’re not sure if you’re supposed to tell her these things, but if Bruce has a problem with it he can kiss your ass. Victoria is the reason you were able to make the badassium so fast. Besides, it’s not like you’ll tell her the identities of everyone or anything.
“Well, any juicy details about your ‘co-workers’ you can share?”
“Ha ha.” You roll your eyes. “I’ll leave the ‘figuring out their identities’ part to you, since you’re so good at that.” She gives a small innocent smile at that.
You focus back on your work, hands moving with practiced efficiency. Victoria's image on your screen watches with mild curiosity as you assemble the components of the nanite chamber.
"You've always seemed good with your hands," she remarks, a hint of admiration in her tone. "What exactly are you building now?"
"It’s like a big charger," you explain, pausing to scratch your brow. "It’s to charge my suit.”
She hums. “Still can’t believe you just casually made a new element that fast.”
"Well, you did provide most of the materials," you remind her, smiling. "Couldn't have done it without you, hun.”
Victoria chuckles, a hint of pride in her eyes. "Well, of course.”
You continue working on the nanite chamber, the rhythmic sound of metal being molded and fitted together creating a soothing background hum. Victoria's voice keeps you company, her questions and comments providing a pleasant distraction from the intense focus required for your task.
"So, any new developments on the romantic front?" Victoria asks, her tone teasing.
You roll your eyes, even though you can't help but smile. "Ugh, Tori.”
"Just curious," she replies, feigning innocence.
“Well sorry to disappoint,” you huff, punch a piece of metal into place. “This spider is single and not ready to mingle.”
“I’m just saying, you’re probably the only person Damian pays any attention to.”
“Well, other people outside of our school exist.”
She leans forward. “So, there’s someone else?”
You groan as she laughs. “Well, what about Robin then? The news says you guys are pretty chummy.”
You snort, because who’s gonna tell her? “No, Tori. I don’t have time for relationships, hun. I’m busy with… heroing and stuff.” You turn to face the phone. “But if anything happens, I promise you’ll be the first to know.”
"Uh-huh," she replies, clearly unconvinced. "You should just go after what you want.” Oh, Tori, if only it was that simple.
The conversation continues, shifting to lighter topics as you work. Victoria updates you on the latest gossip, her voice a comforting presence as you focus on assembling the nanite chamber. The hours pass quickly, the steady rhythm of your work and Victoria's chatter creating a comfortable routine.
You take the phone, opening your messages with Victoria. “Can you get me these things? It should be simple.”
Her face gets closer to the camera as she picks up her phone to look at the list you sent her. “Of course. Same place?” You nod.
“[Name]? Is there someone here?”
You look to the side, seeing Jon standing at the entrance, rubble around his feet. Oh, what the fu–
“I thought I hear–”
You reach out a hand, motioning for him to zip it. He shuts up, thankfully, eyeing your phone.
Victoria snorts. “Who is that?”
“A dumbass,” you answer dryly. “I gotta go, Tori.” Jon’s identity is vulnerable, so she shouldn’t be around right now. Probably.
She rolls her eyes but blows a kiss. You blow one back and end the call, putting down your phone and sighing. You put a hand on your hip and turn to look at Jon. You gesture for him to speak. “Well?”
Jon’s eyes stay on your phone for a bit, before looking into yours. “What?”
“Jon, I was on a facetime. You could’ve leaked yourself or something.”
“Who was that?” he asks, stepping closer. “Does she know who you are?”
“Oh please, not you too. I would’ve thought Damian would care about that.” You step around him, looking for a wrench. “But yeah, she does. She’s the friend that helped me get all of this,” you smile, arms spreading to gesture to the whole workshop.
“She’s also the person that was kissing me when Damian walked in.” You’re not sure why exactly you said that, but the way his eyes almost blow out of his head is pretty funny.
“Oh, wait, I can tell you the whole story now! Long story short, I accidentally called her ‘Vicky’ as Spinnerette—I call her Tori now, though—so she figured out it was me because I was the only person that called her that. Rookie move, I know, but in my defense I would’ve never guessed she would be able to put together the pieces. Anyway–”
You find the wrench you’re looking for, yay, “–Fast forward a little. She confronts me about it. I thought she was gonna, like, try to blackmail me, but no. She just wants to help. Shocker, right? She grabs my wrist to check out my web-shooter bracelets, and Karen shoots out a web. Just because she felt like it. It sticks onto Tori and before I can get it off the door opens.”
You tighten a screw. “I found out Tori’s a bit of a quick thinker that day, because she quickly jumps into my arms and kisses me. Kisses me! Since, you know, the web was stuck on her and since she was on me you couldn’t see it.”
You smile once you’re satisfied with how tight the screw is. Turning back to Jon, you furrow your brow. He looks… constipated. Like he just ate something sour. He steps closer, closer and closer until you’re back up against the desk. He invades your senses with his presence, his eyes wide and searching yours.
“I thought you weren’t dating anyone?”
You blink. “I’m. Not. I told you, we agreed to be better off as friends.”
Jon furrows his brows. "But she kissed you? And you guys facetime?”
You narrow your eyes. “She kissed me once, and then we agreed to be friends. Only. And friends facetime.”
He looks away, his jaw tightening as he processes your words. Then, it seems like he remembers himself. "Right, sorry. I just... misunderstood."
“Are you okay, Jon?” Did he and Damian get in a fight or something?
Jon's expression softens, and he sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just…” He bites his lip, gaze meeting yours for a second before turning away. “I don’t know. Thinking too much, I guess.”
You nod, not having anything to say. “Well, what did you come here for?” You hope he’ll appreciate the subject change.
He scratches his neck. “Nothing, really. I just wanted to…” he glances at your phone, “...bother you I guess.”
“Well, you’re always welcome here. Just, call ahead, or something,” you chuckle, turning back to the nanite chamber.
He shoves his hands into his pockets. “Well, I don’t wanna bother you anymore. So. Bye.” And then he’s off. Wow, one moment he’s here and one moment he’s not. You shrug, deciding that for your own peace of mind you won’t dwell on the interaction.
Jon Kent has control over his emotions. He has to, given the power he has. However, the teenage experience might just kill him.
He’s never felt quite like this before. He can feel his hormones all over the place. And it doesn’t feel nice. Whatever Jon feels is amplified by ten. Jon flies back to the Manor, his mind racing with conflicting emotions. He lands softly on the grounds, his thoughts still tangled with the image of you… kissing her.
He wishes you kissed him.
Damian looks up, noticing Jon's arrival. "Took you long enough," he remarks, his voice steady and cool.
Jon doesn't respond immediately, his thoughts still swirling. “Did you know?” he asks.
Damian doesn’t know what he’s talking about, because why would he? He tilts his head and Jon elaborates, “About… Tori?”
Damian pauses, thinking. “Victoria?”
“She’s who you… walked in on. With [Name].”
Jon watches as Damian’s eyes narrow before he scoffs. “Yes, I remember. What about her?”
Jon comes to sit next to Damian, seeking out his comfort. “She’s, well. Apparently she knows that [Name] is Spinnerette.” Damian’s brows furrow. “She’s the one who helped get them all their materials and stuff. They were facetiming when I went over there and…”
Damian’s eyes darken, but he says nothing, letting Jon continue.
Jon sighs, leaning back. “It just threw me off, I guess. I thought… I don’t know what I thought.”
Damian's expression remains unreadable for a moment before he speaks again. "Did [Name] say anything else about her?"
Jon shakes his head. "Not really. Just that they're friends and that she's been helpful."
Damian nods, his gaze distant as he considers this new piece of information. "I see."
Jon sighs deeply, running a hand through his hair as he tries to sort out his thoughts. "It's just... weird, you know? I didn't expect [Name] to have someone like that in their life."
Damian raises an eyebrow. "Why not?"
Jon shrugs, his frustration evident. "I guess I just thought I knew them better."
Damian studies Jon for a moment before speaking. "People have layers, Jon. We can't expect to know everything about them, no matter how close we are." Damian would know..
Jon huffs, still not entirely satisfied with that answer. "Yeah, I know. It's just... I don't know. Maybe I'm…” he purses his lips, half-amused with himself, “...jealous.”
Damian's eyes narrow slightly, but he keeps his tone measured. "Jealousy is a useless emotion, Jon. It clouds judgment and makes you act irrationally."
Jon shoots Damian a wry smile. "Yeah, I know. You've mentioned that before."
Damian nods, his expression softening marginally. "Just focus on what matters.”
Jon nods slowly, taking in Damian's advice. Silence settles between them for a moment before Damian speaks again, his voice quieter. "If you need to talk... about anything, Jon, I'm here."
Jon smiles at him, eyes flicking to his lips before returning to Damian’s. Damian meets Jon's gaze steadily, his expression unreadable but his intent clear. Jon's heart skips a beat, the intensity of Damian's presence washing over him. There's something unspoken between them, a bond that goes beyond words. Jon swallows, trying to find the right words, but Damian speaks first.
"Come, let's head inside," Damian says, standing up and gesturing towards the manor. Jon follows silently, still grappling with his thoughts.
Jon takes a deep breath, finally breaking the silence. "Damian, I..." He pauses, trying to find the right words. "I don't know what I'm feeling. It's just... confusing."
Damian says nothing, but Jon has known him long enough that Damian isn’t condemning him or anything. He’s chosen to stand with him, wholeheartedly. Jon grasps Damian’s arm as he leads him deeper inside the manor.
Damian Wayne and Jon Kent kissed on New Years, right as the clock turned midnight. Jon Kent really hopes he can kiss you too.
superheroes and social media
do you KNOW how often I see a cute trend on ig or tiktok or anything and I’m just like “man that would be cute for (insert hero ship)”
but that’s an issue because like… putting your face on the internet is DANGEROUS🙅♂️
I had. an idea. to solve all the issues!
as fun as it is to imagine the RobinOfficial account having 4 million followers, I think it’s more fun for everyone to have accounts that only follow and allow following in the caped community
so basically Instagram for just superheroes
the ones whose identities are known can post their faces, and the ones who are still under the radar have a close friends list that consists of the people who do know them
a very few amount of people who aren’t heroes are allowed on this Super IG
including Lois Lane, whose entire presence is standard mom posts but with like. Superkids and other Kryptonians. you get it
uhh Bernard Dowd too but he only follows Tim and Steph
Alfred, who only posts the Manor and London with captions like poetry
Selina Kyle because she already had a regular account but B was like “oh that’s dangerous now that we’re affiliated”
she was like “well how am I supposed to fuel my ego with no instagram for people to thirst after me”
B sighed and was like “well,,,,,”
Harley Quinn fluctuates between being banned and interacting with EVERYONE’S content with offensive amounts of emojis
anyways tell me WHY Conner Kent has the most iconic page on the internet
it’s full of these aesthetic photo dumps and crackhead videos of YJ doing dumb shit
also Tim. he’s got chaotic gen z billionaire vibes and most of his stuff is on his close friends list because B doesn’t need to see the REALLY dumb shit he gets up to
yeah they’re both hot and yeah they’re both elite pages. but Kon’s is Sabrina Carpenter energy and Tim’s is P!ATD energy so they’re different flavors of slay
on the opposite end of the spectrum we’ve got B, who has four posts, all exactly 365 days apart
it’s the yearly Father’s Day family portrait
Dick Grayson does that millennial vlog thing but Not
“a day in the life of a 24 year old cop (who also happens to be a vigilante)”
also a compilation of clips of him jumping off buildings, some taken by him and some by other people
can you IMAGINE this dumbass with a gopro
Red Bull wants to sponsor him what can I say
he lets his favorite villains follow him
WHEN I TELL YOU BILLY BATSON HAS THE MOST FAMOUS PAGE OF ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY
because he was a public figure ANYWAYS. this is the idiot who used to walk around charging people’s phones with his powers and taking selfies for cash. people know him
so Captain Marvel has this crazy account with him doing memes and slo mo compilations of him punching guys from his body cam
his most hit post is a video where he found a cop harassing a bunch of kids on the street (who he happened to KNOW) and without saying anything at first just kindaaaaa walked over and fried the cruiser’s entire inner workings
“yo, copper! I think somethin’s up with your system, man!”
while the cop was trying to figure out how to start his fucking car again, Billy herded the kids down the sidewalk and they all took off running, giggling like maniacs
Damian Wayne doesn’t post a lot, but when he does, it’s to match with Jon
I mean like taking pictures of each other from across the same table and the captions are each half of a whole song lyric, stuff like that
his personal favorite is actually their softlaunch— they found an entire wall of mirrors at the planetarium on a date, Jon had his right hand on Dami’s waist and the other in his pocket, and Dami was standing in front of him, holding the phone with his right and tilting Jon’s face down with his left to press a kiss to the underside of his jaw. neither of their faces are in it and it was Damian’s wallpaper for a WHILE
my babies ANYWAYS
Diana Prince posts exclusively about her favorite ice cream shops
Bart is the kid whose note is always like “in the hospital👍” / “sick again” / “hate broken ribs I can’t eat seven burgers in this condition” / “got possessed by a death god again :/ third time this week” and it’s like jesus man can you catch a break
can you imagine finding fucking Superman has a verified instagram account but it’s private so you can’t even follow freaking SUPERMAN
Duke Thomas is thoroughly over his siblings’ shit and there’s a ton of videos of them being dumbasses with captions like “someone save me it’s two in the morning”
anyways A COMPILATION OF TRENDS
“nobody move, there’s blood on the floor” for LITERALLY any ship it’s so funny
“what? you’re not coming to my tea party? Bethany, I made BISCUITS” with increasingly low res crack pics of Red Hood falling off of things, generously edited and posted by Tim Drake
dance trends with Steph and Cass
“guess which outfit is whose” with Tim and Steph but they’re both in their Robin uniforms
Tim making a cringey thirst trap edit of Jason who in response posted a clip of Tim tripping his own gear and setting off an alarm
“wearing the same outfit so no one can tell us apart” and it’s all the Batkids in their Robin uniforms (most of which barely fit) ((Bruce and Alfred cried))
the Superkids did the same thing a few days later and dragged Clark into it
not-quite-thirst-traps where they just kinda stand there over music but everyone in normal comments would’ve gone crazy
calisthenics trends. Thanks
it’s like a THING between all the Titans where they’ll sneak up behind each other, yell “THIS IS SPARTA,” and kick each other off roofs
someone sneaking up behind Jason while he’s belting Seasons of Love
MOTORCYCLE CONTENT
somewhere out in the world there’s a shaky, blurry video of Robin, Superboy, Spoiler, Blue Beetle, and Beast Boy dancing to and half-singing-half-yelling Tell Your Girlfriend
if you think of any more social media trends or videos or pics you see that remind you of a hero tag me because I’m obsessed with the idea of these idiots on socials
#dc#I simply NEED more superhero social media content where it actually makes logistical sense#maybe I’m crazy#lois lane#bernard dowd#timbern#alfred pennyworth#selina kyle#batcat#harley quinn#conner kent#superboy#catwoman#tim drake#red robin#yj#timkon#bruce wayne#batman#dick grayson#nightwing#billy batson#captain marvel#shazam#damian wayne#robin#jon kent#damijon#diana prince#wonder woman
