Some thoughts about my recent drawings since I was very tired when I posted them and I want to talk about them:

First of all, I'm dying bcs me from several months ago said this(after I made Hussar Seb):

Me now: *aggressively researching for hours on end the Austrian Kaiser's imperial regalia in order to draw Emperor Seb and cooing over how cool and interesting and regal everything is*

And I can now say that the Emperor's clothing is indeed slay and I just wasn't researching hard enough. Though then again, here is a comparison of what Charles VI(who baby king Seb is referencing) vs Francis II(emperor at the time of the Napoleonic War):

So like, I can understand my hesitation back then with Francis I being the only emperor I had really seen atp. I know irl the long hair is wigs, but I really do think it suits them!! Seb's in the AU is natural though 🤭

I'm still laughing about how I drew the Golden Fleece insignia:

I said but I basically just wanted to see if I could draw all my various Sebs throughout the ages and then it was turning out so well that I pulled out my tablet to do it digitally!! It was really fun to do actually. I did them all 3 at the same time so I wouldn't get tired with doing one. Its still always interesting for me to look back at the process:

Rendering is probably my favorite part, especially doing all the gold stuff is a lot of fun :D

Next project: finish the painting of vettonso!!!! Doing chibis is so fun cause I don't have to worry about accuracy as much so yay....can't wait to get back to normal sized people....

WHYYYYY. why why why. do i step away from drawing and then every time i come back i have forgotten even more of the fundamentals of just. physically putting pen to paper. i am seeing clear images in my mind and in front of me with csp 3d models and i am struggling to draw shitty mediocre cubes to process those shapes into something i have drawn 10 million times [human body]. whhaaaaat is happening in my brain

btw the headdress i mentioned yesterday, a pretty basic affair made from scraps. main body is a poly-cotton jacquard whose biggest dream is fraying into nothingness (and i can't melt the edges bc it burns the cotton), ruffle is cotton twill (there's a line of stitching a little bit away from the edge to keep from fraying entirely), lacing is just a couple of long crochet chains. based on a na+h piece i saw on this blog post ^_^

Twist outs r so nice but unfortunately mean i need to twist hair Back In (<- unpracticed in self hairstyling and not very interested in doing so) so i never wear them. But. Super nice
