I love being a multishipper in the marauders fandom. Two characters exist? Yeah, sure they can kiss why not. I can see it. And we can literally just change bits and pieces of the characters to make them fit better if we really want to because we made them up in the first place.

I love the idea that Barty outwardly hates Sirius more than regulus does despite clearly not having a personal reason to. Liek regulus has a complicated relationship with his feelings toward his brother, it’s a bridge between love and hate that he crosses frequently and would rather just not address while Barty is just all in on the hate. He brings up killing Sirius as a cute date idea like once a week. He boos when people cheer at marauders pranks. He relishes in the glares Sirius sends the skittles’ way and like bows and blows kisses when he receives them while regulus has to like elbow him to get him to stop.

But he is absolutely dead ass in the hate though. He frames it like it’s a joke but it’s really not. He personally doesn’t understand why Regulus’ feelings are mixed up because if it were him he would just be mad. In his mind, Regulus doenst hate his brother at all because how could he with how much he still cares. And he doesn’t get that. So he takes on the responsibility of hating Sirius enough for both of them. It’s a labor of love, that he just has fun with.
