Haha#But yeah I dunno about that - he's also a nerd which I find very fun haha sets up a powerpoint presentation for his thugs#And just ends up doing the main bit himself anyway! He just likes to talk about his plans hehehe#It really is double-fun to have them all from different points in their timelines ahh ♪ Who and what they know so fun to play in#The secret-keeping and surprises are my favourite part! fic delay... again..
allow me a moment to offer my deepest apologies to you all, the fic will be delayed yet AGAIN. funny story, i have an event called solo ensemble coming up this friday where you perform pieces with 2-3 other people. pretty simple right?? the problem is, i just got given the music today. would be easy if the instrument im playing for it wasn't one i've literally NEVER played before. it'll hopefully be easy for me and give me more time to work on the fic as it IS a kind of drum and i specialize in those kinds of instruments (i've become more mallet-oriented but whatever we dont talk about that)
please pray for my sudden ability to play tenor drums and for my back as the drums literally weigh more than half my body weight and i have to carry them up stairs

the book of bill is interesting because you cant take any of it at face value
#beep boop#gravity falls#mystery posting#spoilers in tags#like i think the only things in it that are 100% true is the ending and the notes from ford / the rest of the pines family . everything else#needs to be taken with a grain of salt#those journal 3 pages might be fake . bill is straight up lying about most of his backstory#the whole premise is that he wants you to keep reading ! that hes tempting you specifically with things you want to know !#like i think parts of the journal 3 pages did happen#but ford didnt actually write about it#this book is fun to think about because of bills tendency to lie and just make shit up#anyway this was rambly ive been trying to put my thoughts about this book into tangible words#i did enjoy it for the most part . i just hope people arent weird about certain parts

just a few little bits from the past few days
#both the word count screenshots are from the same day - just different sections of the text. so that was like 4000 words in#one DAY.. huzzah!! (< making up for the fact that I did 0 words the 3 days before that lol.. so its not actually an accomplishment ghjjh)#In renpy I think you can have multiple separate texty cody whatever documents and still jump between them so long as they;re#labeled properly. Rather than like... having one extremely long 60.000 line file where in some places youre in a menu within a menu#within a menu within a menu within a menu within a menu within a menu jhbhj#But that was the way I started doing it lke 5 years ago when I actually made the base of everything so I feel like it'd be too much#work to change it all that dramatically now. But that means I cant just get the word count for the whole document I just have#to jump around to the few sections I worked on and highlight them to get the word count for only that portion#.. the one tiny fraction of the whole monster text wall. Though it is of course spaced out and organized into#clearly labeled sections within that because otherwise I have trouble discerning text on a screen. still.#Resuming a project that's been basically abandoned for 4-5 ish years is just always finding weird stuff like.. why did I do this that way..#why did I write that... why did I organize that in this manner... what the hell am I referencing in this note... etc. lol#Anyway... also......................cat with plum on his head.#everyone point and laugh at mr. plum head boy..!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:3c#I've been obsessed with Calico Critters' social media presence from afar (like how I mentioned one of my possible dream jobs would#be to be the person that sets the scenes and arranges all the toy animals at a tiny little table and etc. to take the type of pictures they#post on their facebook page and stuff) and I see all their photos of them posing the rabbits as if they're in a swimming pool#or on a nature hike or etc. etc. BUT I have never really seen them in person. Recently I was at a store (in a KN95 mask and not staying#very long still of course. wastewater covid levels are still high where I live (and most of the US truly)) and it just crossed my mind#to actually go to the toy section and see if I could find any....wow.... Its like meeting a celebrity.. the Latte Cats....#Of course I didnt buy them because they're like... very expensive?? like $25 - $40 just for one little pack of a few critters like#what is shown. but.... i'm desperate to know how many notebooks you have filled with these drawings. i must know, please, i'm on my hands and knees
Most of my comics are drawn on standard letter paper (8.5"x11"), and to date I have filled 23 pages! I usually manage to fit roughly 6-8 comics per page.

#ask#I have several more pages filled in a sketchbook for practice/studies and my 'better drawn' work#Each square panel is 1.5 inches (1/4 of a sticky note) and I use pretty small nub ink pens.#I actually hadn't counted how many I had filled (in my head it was roughly 1 new page a week) so this was a cool prompt to do so!#it's also wild to go back and look at my old comics! Really hits home how far I've come!#I felt so confident in my 3 panel format. Only to give it up by like... comic 11.#I meant to take a picture of the first early pages and compare it with the new comics but oh man taking photos was never my strong suit.#I hate shadows. I hate lighting. I hate angles. Defeated by the shadow of my hand and terrible camera quality.#I also do not have enough floor space to lay them all out... okay i just marathoned the entirety of ATLA live action & i might do an actual review of it explaining my thoughts more in depth, but the TLDR version basically boils down to this:
if you want to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, just go watch the 2005 cartoon
#i was trying to keep an open mind & all that cuz of OPLA (my beloved) but. holy shit it was actually worse than i expected :/#like what were they thinking. did they use AI to write this or are the writers just like. really shitty#notes: they linger too much on random bullshit & refuse to move character development along#they tell when they should be showing & when they DO show it's for stuff that benefited from brief environmental storytelling in the OG#the plot drags so hard it was basically stagnant#there were some fun things but like. those things could've been funner if they'd been given the time other useless stuff was taking up#they changed so many minor details that really don't matter in order to make them more important#but this failed spectacularly because now there's just. stupid bullshit clogging up the plot??#instead of having 10 minute monologues 3 times an episode about plot irrelevant things#they should have taken a page out of the original's book & kept minor details to a minimum & focused on ACTUAL PLOT#SO MUCH CGI. LIKE I KNOW THEY NEED IT BUT COME ON. EVEN THE CHARACTERS?????? WHO ARE JUST STANDING THERE????????#they were given 8 hours & almost all of it was Aang angsting (lol) over being the avatar & not practicing actual bending#& then they ended the plot too early so they had to fill in the last like 20 minutes with something else#so they made up random lore that literally makes no sense. & overexplained all of it to the point i was blanking out from boredom#i think this is why i didn't enjoy Korra. they over explain the spirit world stuff & avatar powers & bending#that plus i just don't vibe with the aesthetic#being a writer is a curse because when i dislike something it's because i know exactly what went wrong & why#it's always with the analyzing & the judging & the internal note taking#even when i really try i can't just enjoy shit for fun
