wrt prev post and sam’s original ‘fed demon blood by azazel as a baby’ arc like. actually that was the most insane thing to see depicted on my television especially when it seemed like no one else i knew or followed was talking about it. it felt so explicit and yet it was sooo deep in metaphor. she walked in on us. sammy, you’re my favourite. god it must be terrible to know something happened but that you’ll never be able to remember it or tell anyone about it. never be able to rip it out or scrub it clean. so azazel could get into my nursery and- bleed in my mouth? because i wasn’t clean. these trials - they’re purifying me. anyway. augh

#Marvel #Marvel comics #Marvel 616 #Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu vol. 2 #Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu 2024 #Moon Knight comics #latest release #Moon Knight #Marc Spector #Tigra #Greer Grant #*Jonathan Frakes in Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction? voice* there was a sewer man #My Spider-Man (2017) homies know that this is just Marc returning to his natural habitat #but for real though technically this is a pretty typical «things were getting a little too comfortable and smooth and easy for the hero #so now it’s time to arbitrarily and completely blow up his entire life» storyline #but I’m pretty intrigued by how they’re choosing to go about it #I guess it’s because they’re walking a pretty fine line and not going overboard on trying to send Marc to the absolute «rock bottom»#they already killed him and bankrupted him in his last run so they can’t take that away from him #but I also I appreciate that they didn’t choose to go the complete grimdark route nor did they kill off/fridge any characters #this is most likely roaming into personal opinion territory but Marc’s already been at the bottom a couple times in his super hero career #including the (in)famous eponymous arc that I will be forever grateful if no MK writer ever tries to recreate #and it would be pretty wild to spend 2 volumes emphasizing the importance of this support system just to start killing them off #I can understand if people are tired of this type of storyline and/or consider this a particularly tepid way of approaching it #but in my frankly inconsequential opinion I’m just glad I’m not getting bludgeoned with hackneyed attempts at angst/tension for drama’s sak #the writer’s succeeded; I like these characters and I’m glad they mostly made it out in one piece (and that MK’s back in the sewers hahaha)

#Henry #2025 #so frustrating though #we had a really nice walk right up until the end when someone cornered us with their two very reactive dogs #I get it- Henry is reactive- and I know it’s hard to manage them especially if you run into another dog unexpectedly #but also have some respect for other people! they just kept coming at us and did nothing while their two went off barking and lunging #we had to dive off the path #’be careful of snakes if you go off the path!’ so helpful person. maybe if you didn’t charge us with your reactive dogs I wouldn’t have to #anyway Henry did very good and didn’t make a noise #he got treats rained on him as the ‘we have no possible way of getting out of threshhold distance’#but just frustrating that we had to do that. also frustrating that the person kept stopping to try talk to us #I don’t care if you think ‘oh they just make a lot of noise they’re not dangerous’ they are distressing for me and my dog #anyway we had a good walk overall and he recovered well from that #good job lil bud

PoE after veilguard really makes the insistence that veilguard IS dark fantasy have you seen d’metas crossing so genuinely laughable. i wouldn’t even classify PoE as a dark fantasy but there’s a grim realism to the villages and people in that game that is so interesting…. and veilguard is a glossy marvel movie in comparison

guys i caught a mouse at work today

#i was walking the tech guy back because one of our printers broke #and i opened the door like yeah its right back he- thats a mouse. thats a mouse sitting in the middle of the room #he was very small and i think very confused/freaked out because he just let me. scoop him up. into my gentle loving arms #like he tried to run a little but he didn’t seem to really know where to go #so i was just on the floor like trying to get ahold of this very tiny very pathetic mouse without hurting it #while saying hey um. dont mind me printers right there with a mouse half in my hands #printer guy brought me over a little basket he found and i scooped mousie into the basket #and then i had a mouse in a basket. so i went back into the lobby and went Guys i have a Mouse in a Basket #and then my supervisor escorted me outside and we found a nice little tree with some shade and little plants to dump him at #except hed been scrambling up the basket the whole time and i think hes just accepted his fate to live there forever by then #because he would Not get out of the basket. i had to very very gently scooch him out #and yeah. maybe i pet the mouse. what do you want from me. he was very small and cute and very soft and rabbies isnt real and cant hurt me #he was so fucking cute. oh my god he was so cute. i hope he does well for himself #coworker was like ‘youre just gonna put him outside to be somethings lunch?’#and i said well. better he be lunch for someone than die in a gluetrap in some dark corner of the office #slightly more dignified way to go. benefits something. but i will be praying for a long and happy life for him regardless #every single time ive seen a mouse in my life ive immediately gone ‘oh im fucking Getting You’ <- lovingly and adoringly #so far im 2 for 5. 40% accuracy rate of Getting That Sucker #which i dont think is too bad considering mice are very small and quick and good at not being getted

my friend i have scoured, deep sea dived, deep cleaned, poker all-inned and i have never once in my rdr2 career ever been able to find a positive interaction between them in canon. i didn’t think they even had ANY for the longest time until someone found one and its literally javier threatening kieran … which i would personally not categorize as “domestic bliss”. i think our best bet for canon content is crossing our fingers and praying that the ai for them in camp has them sit next to each other momentarily

#The Loudest Silence #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #hm this was okay! it’s a sweet and light YA contemporary focusing on friendship and disability.#It’s a little cheesy; and I liked the immediate easy friendship (well; after a few false starts) and how welcoming Hayden's #friend group/family were. I like how they all jumped to learning/practicing ASL.#I liked how Casey was dealing with her newfound Deafness with a lot of positivity - the main frustrations being how other people treat her #but there’s also the underlying isolation and grief. At the same time it didn't go as deep as it could have with that?#The friendship is central to the story - but honestly I feel like Casey and Hayden’s relationship doesn’t develop past ‘they’re friends now #[continues other subplots] - it ends up being a bit telling not showing their friendship. And then she gets a love interest.#I feel like if you’re centering your book on being a platonic love story - rare in YA! - giving one a love interest kinda goes against #what’s supposed to be unique about it? Like it wasn’t overwhelming and I thought it was sweet actually; I just didn’t come here for that.#I always find it a little odd when YA contemporary books don’t explicitly name their aroace characters as aroace -#obviously I prefer an exploration of experiences to just using the word and nothing else; but in this genre; why not both?#considering various other identity labels are used and discussed there were various points where it felt like it was walking circles #around where it would be obvious to say “no I’m aroace” lmao?#And there’s a point where Casey mentions seeing an ace sticker on his guitar - the only reason it wasn’t an aroace sticker is bc #that would have ruined the minor subplot of her assuming he’s gay/dating his other friend. It felt like a slightly odd way to mention it?#but also I guess I appreciate it being evident throughout but also being a non-issue plot wise - while there’s a couple of moments #of people making romantic assumptions about them;for the most part it’s just treated normally for a boy & girl to be friends (as it should!#It does get points for mentioning people watching by conan grey LMAO (not that it really explores him feeling that way specifically;#but I mean same lol)#Overall plot-wise - there were kind of a lot of things going on and it petered out a bit? I wanted some more depth in some areas.#Also I feel like some of the references seemed out of date for current teens haha.#i do love the love for unusual pets (hairless cat and iguana)#aroace books #bisexual books

#before they left the house for a few hours I was asked to clean the cat litter #a simple and easy task #but then Riggs #my dog came into my room and decided to shit on the floor #so ofc that was GREAT #I had to clean it up #and then I continued my schoolwork #and naturally #I got very busy and forgot #my apologies #fast forward to my parents getting home #I was in the bathroom and when I walked out I saw my dad cleaning it #I said sorry and he didn’t respond or turn to look at me #I went back to my room awkwardly to later be greeted by my stepmom #she asked why I didn’t clean it #I said that I had forgot #she then told me that that is not an excuse and I should know better #I apologized again #she said me forgetting things is a serious problem and something is wrong with me and I need to fix it #I am diagnosed with many conditions and she knows this.#now both of them refuse to look at me #to speak to me #I hate being here #vent
