on god the best happy accident that happened in my first run of bg3 was ungrouping the party in Sharess' Caress and then forgetting to regroup before going to Raphael's room. That scene, as well as the Emperor's conversation that follows it, feels dramatically different when you're by yourself.

Barring the Stelmane reveal (which you have to jump through some hoops to access in the first place), I think that scene is the Emperor's single most sinister moment in the entire game
