Those seem like wonderfully clear single notes, to me. I feel like it should be possible to replicate it with a dodgy homemade instrument with a single rubber band string. And maybe a metal or plastic body? Also sounds like a squeaky toy or a rubber chicken, sorta. (Which I think are usually forcing air over a simple rubber or plastic string/bar.) DEFINITELY sounds like the sad noises you get at first when you try to learn how to use a blade of grass as a whistle. :D Haven't thought about that in a while... Damn. I really feel like I can hear/see the string vibrating the air in a way I don't with most sounds. Excellent cat, excellent meows :)
