my head nearly bursts in flames when i think about how intersectional feminism was created by black women to re-center their voices in the fight for women's liberation, and now it's been shat on by white men claiming to be women and that somehow them being feminine men is the same kind of thing as being a "manly" black woman, drowning out black feminist voices and the voices of woc even more

As an intersex femme and interfemmasc of color (Afro-Indigenous/Asian/Indigenesian/Afro-Latina, etc.) who's slightly plus sized and curvy with hips, thighs and a badonkadonk, I've been challenging myself on my internalized fatphobia, colorism and featurism and how it's impacted my journey with femininity and especially embracing the side of me that's a feminine man/masc, mainly because I'm always used to seeing very thin, dainty and eurocentric representation of queer feminine men/mascs and I'm trying to unlearn all of the rigidly eurocentric, eurowestern, colorist, racist and fatphobic bullcrap that's being pushed and instead create my own diverse gaze and romanticize that instead.

Queerfeminine Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Queerfeminine or queerfemininity/queerfeminity: a term for queer fem individuals or queer femininity; an umbrella term for non-square feminities, non-straight femininity, non-dyadic femininity, non-binary femininity, and non-cis femininity (among other femininities that are "deviant" or "transviant").
Queerfem is synonymous to voidfem. Examples of queerfemininities: transfemininity, cisn'tfem, homofem (gay fem/lesbifem), bifem, panfeminine, interfem(inine), gender nonconforming feminity. Some may consider their femme identity as a queer feminity/femqueer.

wasnt really vibing with any of the current intertransmasc/intermasc flags so made my own as well as similar versions for intertransfem/interfem and intertransneu/interneu
could probably also be used as intersex-to-male/masc (itm/ixtm/xtm), intersex-to-female/fem (itf/ixtf/xtf), and intersex-to-neutral (itn/ixtn/xtn), idk
anyway, design notes under the cut
i really like these four striped transmasc/transfem/transneu flags and wanted them to be part of the design for the intersex versions
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i combined them with the general design of this internon flag since it was another four striped flag that also used white and black in the design
Tumblr media
and i was also slightly inspired by this pcos + intersex flag for intertransmasc, especially because i personally feel like pcos influences my identity as a trans man/transmasc person

Inter-
[pt inter dash /end pt] Back with some simple intersex flags I wanted to make , I originally made interfemmasc / interandro for myself but I ended up making more to share with others , each has 2 versions since I couldn't decide which I liked more. These were just for fun and not to be taken too serious :) I had grabbed color ideas from the mingender , fingender , ningender and lingender flags along with my own intersex flag and this one by d-vewing plus this one by caeliangel . I did aim to keep much of the purple / yellow motif but I did struggle some with the integration and I will likely redo these at one point in time I'll have the flags under the cut like I usually do this time , which I apologize for! [I will also apologize about the lack of IDs , I'm learning and unsure how to id these ones/gen] I will also warn for maybe bright colors on some just in case. As it should go without saying , these flags are intersex exclusive , transintersex folks these are not for you.

considering removing the whole Bible Belt leftist thing. not bc i’m turning right or center but bc a lot of people have preconceived notions of me based off that label and it’s annoying. wish people would understand groups that large can’t be a hivemind. i acknowledge that many people in different political groups than mine have their own independent perspectives and aren’t just a caricature in a political cartoon. (i only generalize to simplify conversation and to avoid diluting the point—i don’t believe, for example, all republicans, think the same) stereotypes often exist for specific reasons but there are always exceptions. we’d all be better off if we asked people their opinions and why they think that way rather than assuming their stance based off their political affiliation and getting angry at their theoretical view.
it’s fine to hypthosize what they’re likely to belief based off their actions, but we’ve gotta remember that nothing is set in stone. literally just ask ffs. we have this hush-hush culture around politics in the US and it stinks. time and place is important but it’s expected to just not speak your mind or else you’re being divisive. it’s dumb. we never learn how to talk to one another bc we’re told not to, then we wonder why we’re always so misconstrued. it breeds a lot of room for propaganda to further divide us and damn, does it work. we should be structuring shit around learning how to disagree, and debate (if both parties wish), civilly. as long as you’re not throwing punches right out the gate, swinging around accusations and slurs, idk why we can’t just fucking talk to one another. actually talk, not shout at or spend the entire time trying to point out how stupid the other is. it is never lost on me how most people never ask the question why. i always want a why. i want to understand, even if i think it’s wrong. even if it’s immoral. how can you counter what you do not know?
people see on my blog that i’m an intersectional feminist and assume i hate all men, or that i hate cis women, or that i automatically believe what CNN publishes, or that i must love Biden. none of these things are true. they get so red over the word ‘feminist’ they didn’t bother looking into the specific branch of it i cited, and they don’t ask me my personal takes on any of these topics either. conveniently, they also ignore that right next to me saying i’m an interfem, i also say i’m an ethical humanist. my guy, that second half would answer some of your questions regarding my core values. it lays the foundation of which my feminism sprouts from.
humans are complex. i still don’t think labels are the problem, it’s how we use them so definitively w no wiggle room or nuance. people should be allowed to use terminology they identify w to communicate having similar beliefs/experiences, to form community, w/o having to list a fifty-page disclaimer that they, too, are a three-dimensional being. words are a concept, concepts are often fluid.
i just can’t understand how people jump to accusations so quickly, on all sides, so confidently. w their entire chest out and head high. i’ll shit talk Biden or criticize Harris and all of a sudden i’m part of MAGA. i’ll get a message saying i’m a collectivist and that i believe in cult-like loyalty and blind obedience. i have only ever stated that i believe the exact opposite and i actively fight against anything that perpetuates that thinking. lotta y’all don’t wanna “intellectual debate,” you want someone to verbally abuse.

here's a controversial take of mine as a black radfem, "white feminism" isn't real, not in the sense of it being a real feminist movement
"white feminism" is not a sub-feminist movement but rather "white feminism" describes a behavior from racist so-called feminists, whom I prefer to call tribal-fems (women who believe only their "tribe" be it their family, religion, clan, country or race, deserve liberation or rights)
the reason i don't use or proclaim "white feminism" is because it is now being used to describe racists in feminism which have very little to do with what feminism actually is. it has gotten to the point that any feminist criticism of gender is termed "white feminism"
furthermore, people who claim "white feminism" (like liberal men) oftentimes insinuate or outright state that white women do not experience oppression as women, it puts actual women outside of the feminist fight
upper-class/bourgeois women still experience misogyny and patriarchy, rich women and white women still experience misogyny and patriarchy, no woman escapes, that's the point of feminism, let alone radical feminism
are there racist feminists? there are racists who believe they're feminists, but they're just tribalfems because feminism is about women, not color, not economic class . . . WOMEN, and if you're a feminist you stand for all women or you're a tribal-fem
if you don't stand for ALL women, then you're not a feminist
i will not participate in sectioning off feminism (based on color or class rather than a few key ideological differences in analysis) to oblivion when feminism itself suits us all just fine if we make space to hear each other and tell our stories, and frankly, we do not have the TIME with all this patriarchal rubbish going on
there is already class analysis, race analysis, etc within FEMINISM, we do not need to segregate feminism to accommodate bullshit claims whether they are about white supremacy, trans-identified males, or tradwives--those have NOTHING to do with feminism and don't need a sub-brand because they are divorced from feminism and feminist analysis (and reality lmao)
and i think trying to do so is a distraction
instead of saying there are many brands of feminism, let's start saying there are many brands of anti-feminism
you cannot be pro-military, pro-colonialism, pro-imperialism, pro-prostitution, pro-porn, pro-homophobia, and a feminist, because all of these issues are the love children of patriarchy and misogyny ("liberal feminism" is now anti-feminism because it supports these things, so it isn't feminism, period)
if you as a woman believe you are above another kind of woman because of class, sexual orientation or skin color, then you participate in the dominance/hierarchy models, which is male culture, and you ARE NOT a feminist

As somebody who's a mixed race and interfaith Jew, a Jew of color, an intersex Jew, an intersex Jew of color and an Afro-Palestinian Jew, I just wanna say how much I'm so thankful for the growing amount of Jewish cultural gender identity and expression flags. I'm learning more and more about the Jewish cultural gender identity and expression labels, and for me especially, learning about the Jewish cultural terms for intersex folks (androgynos, ay'lonit hamah, saris hamah and tumtum) soon after I discovered that I was born intersex simultaneously helped me feel empowered as an intersex woman and interfem and made me feel more connected with my Jewishness and in turn strengthened and deepened my relationship with my Heavenly Father God/Hashem, and in regards to me also being a believer in Christ with interfaith Christian and Jewish beliefs and background, it's also further deepened and strengthened my relationship with Christ. So it means a lot to see more and more flags representing these things cause it makes me feel seen and I hope it does the same for others with various intersecting marginalized groups.
