here's a controversial take of mine as a black radfem, "white feminism" isn't real, not in the sense of it being a real feminist movement
"white feminism" is not a sub-feminist movement but rather "white feminism" describes a behavior from racist so-called feminists, whom I prefer to call tribal-fems (women who believe only their "tribe" be it their family, religion, clan, country or race, deserve liberation or rights)
the reason i don't use or proclaim "white feminism" is because it is now being used to describe racists in feminism which have very little to do with what feminism actually is. it has gotten to the point that any feminist criticism of gender is termed "white feminism"
furthermore, people who claim "white feminism" (like liberal men) oftentimes insinuate or outright state that white women do not experience oppression as women, it puts actual women outside of the feminist fight
upper-class/bourgeois women still experience misogyny and patriarchy, rich women and white women still experience misogyny and patriarchy, no woman escapes, that's the point of feminism, let alone radical feminism
are there racist feminists? there are racists who believe they're feminists, but they're just tribalfems because feminism is about women, not color, not economic class . . . WOMEN, and if you're a feminist you stand for all women or you're a tribal-fem
if you don't stand for ALL women, then you're not a feminist
i will not participate in sectioning off feminism (based on color or class rather than a few key ideological differences in analysis) to oblivion when feminism itself suits us all just fine if we make space to hear each other and tell our stories, and frankly, we do not have the TIME with all this patriarchal rubbish going on
there is already class analysis, race analysis, etc within FEMINISM, we do not need to segregate feminism to accommodate bullshit claims whether they are about white supremacy, trans-identified males, or tradwives--those have NOTHING to do with feminism and don't need a sub-brand because they are divorced from feminism and feminist analysis (and reality lmao)
and i think trying to do so is a distraction
instead of saying there are many brands of feminism, let's start saying there are many brands of anti-feminism
you cannot be pro-military, pro-colonialism, pro-imperialism, pro-prostitution, pro-porn, pro-homophobia, and a feminist, because all of these issues are the love children of patriarchy and misogyny ("liberal feminism" is now anti-feminism because it supports these things, so it isn't feminism, period)
if you as a woman believe you are above another kind of woman because of class, sexual orientation or skin color, then you participate in the dominance/hierarchy models, which is male culture, and you ARE NOT a feminist

I just…wow. Did you just compare the movement of a group of people from one country to another to…men entering a designated female-only space…while also criticizing female separatism?
Like this is radblr. Are you seriously saying that it’s wrong for radical (or even radical-leaning) feminists to encourage female separatism as a radical political action, but it’s PERFECTLY FINE to oppose immigration of men from specific countries? Like wtf?
I thought most radfems who opposed immigration on here did so on the basis of supporting female separatism. Like less men = less problems. How do you not see how contradictory and hypocritical your stance is?
Also there’s this bit: “Some feminists on tumblr who encourage separatism say misogynistic things about women, therefore anyone else who encourages separatism as a necessary component for being labeled a radical feminist is BAD.”
This sounds a bit like a TRA argument, no? “Some feminists on tumblr who say they’re gender critical also say racist things, so therefore all feminists who criticize trans people are right-wing TERFS!”
You also use this as an argument: “How can you encourage women to not partner with men when some women have no choice but to partner with men!!”
And yet, you oppose immigration of men from the very countries in which most of the women who reside there do not feel safe traveling without a man. Like??? Do you see the problem here??
That said, I literally cannot believe you typed out these actual words:
“Do you know who does not have an option to not get married nor have sex with men? Women from countries like Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.”
The way you’ve worded this is as if every woman is required by law to be a married to a man, which is dishonest. There are many reasons why a woman could end up single in all of those countries. Most Muslim families do not practice forced marriage (and no that’s not the same as arranged) so one could potentially choose to not get married. Even in Afghanistan, the requirement for women is that that they have a male guardian, which, if you do not have a husband, follows an order of succession after your father. Aside from that, plenty of women end up not having good marriage prospects, or getting divorced and remaining single after, or what have you. Muslim women in middle eastern countries are not a monolith, and the fact that you don’t even care to present information about them accurately tells me that you don’t actually care about them as a feminist at all.
Regardless, it sounds incredibly juvenile for you to use the hypothetical situation of a woman who is forced or coerced into marriage as a reason for why no feminist should ever encourage women to avoid partnering with men if they’re able to, which most women these days are and whom they direct their criticism at.
Just because some women in specific situations can’t turn down a marriage isn’t an argument for why feminists should stop supporting it as a radical feminist action for women as a class.
Like did you seriously just pull a “not all women have uteruses” on female separatism?
Sounds a bit like a TRA argument, doesn’t it?
idk how y’all can be so hostile toward separatists when the leading cause of femicide globally and by a wide margin is intimate partner violence. equally baffling how so many white tribalfems on here are against immigration bc of evil colored men when the leading cause of sexual violence in their countries is from men in their families and circles. you are literally (as a woman from any country) more likely to get raped and beaten by your husband, boyfriend or male family member than by any other man. you are more likely to be raped multiple times by men you have intimate relationships with. dating and marrying men is LITERALLY the danger.

im queen of the misogynists now. this is grand news, folks.
can tumblr not do the thing where they get angry at a post for not qualifying every fucking word and idea and then bad-faithing the poster to death? like just read my above post and then read this drivel. i started my paragraph with "idk how y’all can be so hostile toward separatists . . ."
not female victims of men who refuse to be separatists. i'm not coming at non-separatists. i'm coming at people who are hostile toward separatists. who genuinely don't want us to speak about separatism. no matter how we speak about it.
genuinely insane how out of proportion kanelia took it.
as for my immigration statement, despite the fact that i've made it explicitly clear in previous posts that white women are perfectly within their right to be uncomfortable around ANY man, white or not, it is fucking weird when you claim to be against the misogyny you fear from immigrant men and then hold white men on a fucking pedestal. that IS racist AND hypocritical. and that's why i called them tribalfems. not white radfems. i call all racists on here tribalfems. and they're not racist because they're anti-immigration. it's because almost all of them have given racist reasons for being anti-immigration and have also expressed racism toward woc while they were at it. you condone redberryterf and make her out to be some kind of martyr? i call you a tribalfem, because you only care about white women (aka, your tribe). i have a post about the use of this term as well. one of my early ones. on this blog. i ain't calling you racists feminists when you couldn't give a shit about women two tones darker than you.
also, fucking rich all this groaning and moaning about how separatism is difficult for women in MENA from a user who's pretty comfortable with what's happening in palestine. "separatism may not be accessible to all women" yeah we fucking know. and are those women in the room with us right now? let's be serious. most of you on tumblr are unemployed, middle to upper class white people. i very HIGHLY doubt your father's trying to force you into an arranged marriage. most of you absolutely have the choice to NOT DATE and NOT MARRY a man which is why you're in and out of relationships with them. you can do the whole 6B4T situation, you just don't want to. and then you get mad at separatists and radical feminists for pointing out the obvious and then call us misogynists every spare chance you get. misogynists, for talking about a strategy that gets to the root of female oppression.
yes, I think that's SUPER hypocritical of you.
