"Creating a headmate for the purpose of shifting all your problems onto them and then locking them up somewhere deep in your brain is a bad idea because they will hate you and cause new problems for you" or maybe, I don't know, it's bad because making other beings suffer and fucking imprisoning them is a bad thing. "Yeah I tried it once, still trying to kill them" do you fucking hear yourselves (ok, that last one only saw once, but it was supported)

Legal protection against domestic violence has become widespread
"This chart shows the share of the global population living in countries that criminally sanction domestic violence or provide protection against it. The data comes from the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law project.
Throughout the decades, the legislation on domestic violence has increased markedly. Until the 1990s, less than 1% of the global population in countries was legally protected from it, with only Canada, Sweden, and Ireland providing such safeguards. And as recently as 20 years ago, 80% of people lived in countries without legal penalties for domestic violence.
But by 2023, this had more than reversed, and 9 in 10 people lived in countries with legal measures to combat domestic violence. This shift highlights an increased recognition around the world that domestic violence is common, especially against women."
-via Our World in Data, September 19, 2024
--
Note: This really puts in perspective just how much and how quickly attitudes on domestic and gendered violence are changing. Look at that graph! Look at it!!
Thirty years ago, there was only a single country in the entire world that thought hitting your spouse should be a crime, and had acted on that. (It was Ireland, go Ireland.) That is a world of difference from where we are now.

Plural Culture (traumatized in general) is never knowing how to properly add trigger warnings because you've become so desensitized to everything that you don't know what's seen as needed, or what's doing too much
And half the time you don't even know how to tag it any way because "can I just put general tw? Do I need to specify which type of abuse is occuring? Is what's being said even clear/graphic/whatever enough for people to realize unless I add the tw? Would adding the tw make it worse??"
And then regardless of all that you still end up posting something that's apparently massively triggering, with no warning, because you thought it was just normal life stuff and then you feel bad about it but all you can actually do is just add the needed tws and apologize
*this is not an apology post, apologies from us will be much more clear if they're needed, this has not happened recently, but it's something that's been on our mind a lot

TW for syscourse and everything that comes with Astro
Seeing our mutual get attacked by Astro is so annoying and fucking funny.
so we are making a post about it and debunking some shit .
As someone who is clinically diagnosed with multiple delusional disorders and psychotic disorders I can tell you that even IF our plurality was caused by psychosis that’s fine. Also we are diagnosed with brief psychotic disorder so our plurality literally could not be prolonged psychosis . Telling people they are in psychosis or delusional is in fact ableist . It is in fact an awful and harmful thing to do , especially if said “ delusions “ or perceived delusions are not PHYSICALLY HARMFUL to themselves or others .
Also as someone clinically diagnosed with factious disorder calling every single person who disagrees with you a fucking disorder faker is in fact also ableist and overall an awful thing to do . You evidently are showing you have NO awareness on what facticious disorder really is. People with fastidious disorder fake disorders for FUCKING ATTENTION due to FUCKING TRAUMA usually caused by FUCKING NEGLECT .also you can’t fake a disorder if your not claiming to have it dumbass .
Calling everyone who disagrees with a you a “ girl / lady “ or a “ white girl “ is actually an extremely fucking sexist , homophobic , transphobic , intersexist , racist thing to do .
Threatening fucking RAPE is AWFUL for ANYONE to do . And when I say anyone we FUCKING MEAN ANYONE . Rape is NOT SOME FUCKING JOKE . Astro you “ claim “ to stand up for trauma survivors while inflicting more trauma and triggering said trauma survivors . Get your fucking act together .
Have you ever heard of IFS therapy ? Since there’s literal therapy around viewing yourself as a collective / system with different parts that you have to coexist with <3
The fact that me a severely disabled person with an Intellectual disability that makes it hard for me to comprehend most things is able to definitively say why every action of yours is wrong is fucking funny as hell !
-Link and F2 members of a medically recognized system who ah been in therapy for years .

my view of giant characters in pet trope stories:
doesn't do anything about the tinies being sold as pets: bad
buys a tiny as a pet to own them as a pet: evil
buys a tiny as a pet to free them and be nice to them: okish, (i mean, you still gave money to the human traffickers. they're still gonna but and sell more tinys, you haven't really done anything to stop them)
beats the living hell out of the guy selling sentient beings and frees all of them: good, epic, amazing, based
(should probably make a post about my over all thoughts on the pet trope soon)

Two Of A Kind
We weren't always two dolls. Once, we were a single being, which tried their best to stay themselves. We've been through much difficulty, as this one is sure all of you have as well. Please let it occupy some of your time today as it feels important that our story be shared, even if just for explanation of the nature of the way we are.
We started our growth in a broken home, raised by a woman trying her best, and a drunk counter-acting. Once, when we were young, our door was removed by the drunk, as retaliation for us expressing our needs. This, only scratches the surface of the years spent under the constant torment of this person, and the abuse, both physical and emotional that began our fracture.
The next place we lived was with another pair of relatives, which were, to their credit, much kinder than the last. That said, we were never respected as who we saw ourselves as, with the identity imposed on us by the family permeating every aspect of how they treated us, we were forced to at least partially conform for a time.
A friend at the time, removed us from the situation, and we were allowed to exist as us, but this was merely a tradeoff. Many days, we awoke to the slamming of doors, screaming at various inanimate objects, and throwing of household implements. Eventually, the aggression turned to us, and this is the point when the now long fracture expanded into a deep crack, and further into a separation. We woke up one day as two dolls, similar in appearance. Two sides of the same tarnished and weathered coin.
This one, you already know as Cream, and the other you know as Sugar. We are what remains of the being who was before.
I watch as Cream finishes writing its note, folding it gently and placing it on the coffee table in the lounge, receding to its room, where I've merged its bed with Sugar's, as they've found themselves sleeping in the same bed more often than separately, to the point that having another bed is seemingly pointless to them.
Inside their room, Sugar is waiting for its counterpart, with tea prepared for both of them. Cream sits on the bed next to it, and partakes with it.
This is part of an ongoing Empty Spaces series called The Dolls' House, and while it's largely a slice-of-life type format, you could benefit from reading the full series sequentially, so click here for the first chapter

Oooh! Here's a question! What is one (1) headcanon you have for each reboot kiddo? (One for Priya, one for Bowie, and so on.)
Most of these I've had for awhile but thanks for helping me realize there were a few characters from this cast I never bothered to make hcs for lol. Some of these are gonna be sadder than others (I like making angst). TW FOR MENTIONS OF: Child neglect, transphobia, homophobia, the foster care system, child abuse, relationship abuse Caleb: Dumped Priya shortly after the season 2 finale when he realized they just weren't compatible and he'd rather just be friends (please let this be the case in s3🙏) Axel: She's related to Shawn and has a part time job as an instructor at the flower shop and fighting school. Years after the show she gets promoted to manager/class organizer
Nichelle: She's the daughter of the in-universe equivalent of someone like Beyonce or Will Smith, and so she got into acting as a baby.
Lauren: Her parents paid very, very little attention to her when she was a small child because they were preoccupied with their (full of illegal practices) circus buisness and Lauren was primarily raised by her older brother (who is 11 years older than her.) The computer was her babysitter a lot of the time and she got into creepypasta stuff at like age 4 Damien: He's trans ftm and was disowned by his parents after coming out, luckily he had a supportive aunt who took him in and allowed him to start HRT. He signed up for TD without hesitation or even bothering to look up what the show entailed when he heard he could win a million dollars because he knew he could use that money to A. repay his aunt for her kindness and B. afford top surgery
MK: Raised in the foster care system alongside her twin brother. She barely ever got anything for herself growing up and developed her klepto behavior after stealing her first video game and console (a 3DS and pokemon sun for anyone curious)
Raj: Figured out he was gay in middle school. Didn't want to come out because while he knew his immediate family would be supportive, his extended family overseas certainly wouldn't be. Needless to say his family cut contact with a lot of distant relatives after the show aired Wayne: He'd never actually had a girlfriend prior to being on TD. When the purple haired intern (who I hc started liking him after he helped her in the fear challenge) told him she had a crush on him she had to explain it very slowly several times over in order for him to understand what she meant Ripper: also had it rough growing up unfortunatley; he mentions at one point his parents dropped him a lot and told him that babies ruin everything so I don't think it's a stretch to say his parents were abusive. Axel was the first person who truly made him feel loved and accepted.
Zee: Uses perscription marijuana for anxiety. The soda is a clear metaphor for weed; while yes he drinks a lot of it normally since he probably wasn't allowed to use drugs (even perscription) on camera he seriously upped the amount of soda he drank as a sort of replacement
Chase: Was actually a decent person once upon a time and legitimatley did woo Emma over with actual charm. With time unfortunatley he started the youtube channel and once it took off the fame got to his head so he would do anything to make the next "viral video," including putting his GF's life in danger.
Emma: She used to be a model student- straight As, participated in a lot of extracirriculars, had a ton of friends, etc. All of that went down the drain when she used 90% of her time to work on the youtube channel. After breaking up with Chase (the second time) she went to therapy and is trying to become the great person she once was, but it's going to take quite a bit of time.
Julia: She first came out as queer for the sake of a pride month post/getting sponsorships from "queer friendly" brands but hadn't actually thought much about her sexuality at the time. Getting to know MK (and Bowie + the hockey bros) during TD made her realize she actually is a Lesbian, she wasn't lying like she thought she was. Millie: Developed a HUGE crush on Priya during s1. She first started gaining feelings around episode 6 or so but didn't quite process that it was a crush until she realized just how happy she was to have Priya back when she forgave her in the season 1 finale + how upset she would have been if she lost Priya. She cried herself to sleep after watching the season 2 livestream at the playa😭 Bowie: Was a huge brony when he was a kid and got into arguments about the show with grown men online in middle school Priya: After season 2, she was contacted by Courtney (who very reluctantly checked out the new seasons and was horrifed by Priya's situation) who offered to be her lawyer when suing her parents for the right to access the s1 prize money. They were sucessful and Priya moved in with Millie afterwards 😉

#i believe that no abuse survivor ever did anything to justify or deserve the abuse#and unfortunately in my heart of hearts im the only exception to this rule#and yes im aware MANY other survivors feel exactly this way#but when the abuse is systemic you get told A LOT that you deserve it or it's for your own good#and that worms its way in and i HATE that it does#so i constantly have this desire to ask for reassurance that i didnt deserve it#and it was that bad#and im not making it up#but also i KNOW it's that bad of course#and for that reason i cant really share it with most people because it is Upsetting#so i sort of just sit on it#abuse cw#ptsd

This chapter draws on my own experiences. I dig deeply into trauma and the healing journey toward integration. It was difficult to write but cathartic.
I wove Kara's integration journey with Lena/Kieran/Rory, who struggle with their own mind and asking for help. This act is centered on healing.
EXCERPT:
INTEGRATION
KIERAN
Each element of the mind sanctuary has been meticulously crafted by all of Lena and her alters. Each blade of grass, each leaf, each branch of the oak tree. Even the cliffs themselves hold the thumbprint of Lena’s selves, not quite a perfect rendition of the original scene.
Why chose a picnic? Why the Cliffs?
Kieran holds bits of that memory with Lena and Rory. Like puzzle pieces they fit together until the story is birthed yet again.
Their birth mother takes Lena to a quiet segment of the Cliffs of Moher, since sometimes the gobshite tourists get so loud. Even back then, they were sensitive to loud noises. She walks, holding her mammy's hand, and listens to the sea gulls, corncrakes, the terns, and tits. Birds that Kieran loves to catalog, though Lena always found such things boring.
Her mammy laughs at a terrible joke Lena makes about one of the bird calls. A joke, Kieran can't recall today, which saddens her. They settle under a tree, one of the few in that region, and listen to the birds and waves beating against the rocks. Her mammy sings a ballad as she unwraps their food, and Lena hums along. The food is simple, mostly sandwiches and fruit. The basket is old, woven by their grandmother long before she died. Rocks sit on the corner of the rainbow blanket, that fabric also old, far older than Lena herself.
She still has that blanket today. One of the few items from their birth mother that Kieran rescued from Lillian. No way will Kieran ever call Lillian Mammy or Mom. In fact, she thinks Lillian's a gobshite ass, but Lena sometimes uses the term. She supposes it's because Lillian was the only one in the mother role for much of their life. A right shame, Kieran thinks, as they deserved better.
So what better way to honor their shared heritage than to build a sanctuary based on their last happy moments? Kieran does her best to preserve those memories, but time encases them in a growing haze. Little details still linger, like basic facts of who their mammy was. She might of been poor, but she made a living working at those fancy, rich-people hotels. They can barely recall the sound of their mammy's singing or the Irish pipes she often practiced, ones Kieran hid from Lillian and sometimes played in the quiet of their penthouse. It’s at one of those rich people events, where their mammy caught the heart of Lionel Luthor, who became her suitor for awhile.
Lena, at this age, has never met Lionel directly, but she receives his gifts of books and chess sets in the mail. Life blossoms with joy and wonder at this age. At least, until her mother's death wrenches her life apart and drowns her in the cold and soulless world of the rich and powerful.
In therapy, Kieran and Lena bounce back and forth, sometimes co-fronting, sometimes letting the other front. They are the roots, and although Lena insists she is the original, the one born to this body, Kieran isn’t sure when exactly she is born. She feels like she’s always been with Lena. They share the fuzzy memories of Ireland, and their first year at the Luthors. Doesn't that make Kieran as awfully important as Lena? She doesn’t want to be folded back into Lena.
In Metropolis, while seeing Kelly, she harbors much resentment at Lena’s yearning for integration. It comes to head one day when Lena admits a truth that wounds Kieran deeply.
“I barely remember my birth mother now,” Lena says, quietly, “Those days when I used to be whole.”
Whole? Kieran fumes. Am I a complete cac to you?
“No, no, Kieran, you’re not shit.” Lena puts her head in her hands. “Sorry, Kieran is upset with the word 'whole.'”
“That’s okay. How about we ask her why?” Kelly suggests.
“Okay.” Lena closes her eyes. Go ahead.
She slides into control with confidence, while Lena rests in the foggier parts of their mind. Opening her eyes, she shifts their posture, her hands on her knees, and her back ramrod straight. "Hi, Lena letting me front now."
"Hi, Kieran," Kelly says with that gentle smile that reminds Kieran of Sam. "Thanks for talking with me. Lena says you are upset with the word 'whole.' Can you explain why?"
“Why?” her heavy Irish accent emphasizes the word. “Whole sounds like it’s all Lena. But what about me? It’s complete gobshite to act like I wasn’t there too. I remember our Mammy just like Lena. I don’t rightly know when I became me-me, but it’s not fair to say ‘whole’ as if it was just Lena then!”
Kelly nods, thoughtfully. “That’s a valid concern, Kieran. Perhaps there’s a better way to think of this.” She stands and walks to a painting on her wall of an oak tree atop a hill. She taps the trunk of the tree. “Look at how this tree grows. It starts as one here.” She taps the part at its base. “And it sprouts upward, dividing into branches, each with its own unique set of leaf arrangements. That’s a lot like you, isn’t it? Both of you started here in the trunk as one, but you splintered into these individual branches. It’s beautiful in its own way, don’t you think?”
“Yeah,” Kieran says, humbled. “Yeah, that feels right. I like that. Maybe we should have a tree in our protective sanctuary?”
Kelly resumes her seat. “If you think it will help.”
I think so, Lena says.
Thus, the oak tree is incorporated into their sanctuary, and Kieran loves it. The other alters grumble, except Rory, who eagerly sits in its shade while she draws. The tree manifests not just shade but a warm echo of the love from their mammy.

We got posted on r/fdc let’s discuss.
So we knew this was going to happen, and rather then being sad about this, we’d like to point out flaws in the arguments. Obviously warning for fake claiming.
also warnings for: talks about trauma and abuse, splitting, mental health episodes, psyche wards, ableism, making a joke out of exorcisms.
First off, “disorder salad” on that introduction post we only talked about things we were medically recognized as having or diagnosed with. Also the “it’s always the anime ones” it’s a picrew? A lot of Picrews are in a anime style, and if you go to Louise’s actual alter intro she uses not just picrews.
This one is just making fun of us. I don’t think we have ever fully posted why we are so connected to the character, but I’ll explain now. So when we were little we went through a lot of abuse and trauma. We had a lot of DVDs and a couple were CareBears. And we felt safe when we watched silly little characters like that. It brought us relief. We aren’t sure why we are so attached to Swift Heart specifically, but we have a little who is obsessed with the color blue and rabbits that formed around that time. We even own the original 80s plush which we found thrifting and means so much to us, plus a few other things of the character. We named our system this, not only because it represents our trauma, but also it represents safety, a light in the dark.
When did we self diagnose???? Also in that post we state that we intend to talk about the bad sides. We don’t think this is fun. Yes we portray ourselves a certain way, but we actually have constant flashbacks, panic attacks, and BPD episodes. It’s sometimes a daily thing. For around 2-3 weeks we would split at least once a day. We don’t think thats fun. But also sometimes you can enjoy life and enjoy being plural. When you live like this you learn to enjoy what you have and what you are living with. If we didn’t we wouldn’t survive. How parasocial do you have to be to think A TUMBLR ACCOUNT shows how we are 24/7.
Going back to the Self Diagnosis thing, We were being treated for DID before anyone put a label on it. We were talked to about “how when someone has many parts of them, sometimes fusion can help them feel more whole.” And asked when dissociating and acting strange who we were regularly asked who we where. When we we’re 15, we had gone to the Psyche ward for the 2nd time, and they couldn’t diagnose us, because of our age at the time, but they strongly suggested we get tested for it when we were old enough. And to get them to recommend anything, they have to talk to all the therapists, doctors, and psychologists, especially the ones who work with you. It’s been years since then, and guess what? We still have DID!
Finally the last claim out of the first comment, the Sub-System thing, that wasn’t in the original post, and I’m unaware who edited it in, but the reason we are confused if they are a subsystem, is because they are plural as it’s where dormant alters are stored. They speak as one and it’s quite strange. Not sure how to explain it.
Okay, comment 2:
The difference between DID and OSDD-1 in the DSM-5 is it’s nearly DID but isn’t quite. (Bad explanation, but these people need simple explanations) often times, it’s the alters are not distinct enough from the host, or a lack of blackout amnesia. This isn’t always the case but that’s what they were referring to. Also have you read the DSM-5’s entry on DID and OSDD-1?.. We have, many times actually. Guess what? it’s purposefully vague FOR A REASON. Because disorders are complex and wouldn’t be able to fit everyone if it was to specific.
This is just ableism. We have been told this by people and our life (luckily nothing was done), and we have heard stories about systems going through this. This stuff is incredibly traumatizing to the people who go through it. This kind of rhetoric being treated as a joke is disgusting.
We aren’t online everyday (also you, the person who commented this, have posted 10 times in the last 11 hours)
The stuff we are “faking” are often co-morbid with DID?!?!
I’m pretty sure this comment is trying to be like “they are doing it for attention to deal with their trauma that’s so sad 🥺🥺🥺”
If that’s the case, you are adding onto the problem
if you believe us and feel bad for us, thanks, but posting it on that subreddit just boost the post which can lead to harassment.
That’s literally the words that was told to us. By our former therapist. We believe it’s C-PTSD, but we put that instead of that because some reason we struggle to believe we have PTSD more then we do DID at this point.
Anyway, yeah, we’d thought we debunk/explain why the argument they have is stupid, they have a platform, but so do we.

I think there's a definite problem with how a lot of people more or less see sexual harassment/assault as the end-all be-all example of how minors are exploited or taken advantage of by adults in a school setting.
obviously this isn't to say that sexual misconduct isn't an issue in schools (because it is) but there are a lot of other ways that teachers/administrators/etc. can manipulate and mistreat and violate the rights of students behind closed doors, potentially causing long-term trauma to the student, especially if the student tries to seek recourse and is not believed.
unfortunately, some adults in positions of power over minors will abuse their positions, harm the minors, and never be held accountable. sometimes this means sex offenses/rape. sometimes this means physical abuse. but sometimes this means things like sharing private information without the student's consent, or lying about an affiliation to coerce a confession, or threatening a student's academic record when they refuse to comply with a demand the adult has no right to make. there are a million ways that teachers and admin can take advantage of their students without ever so much as mentioning sex.

tw for ramcoa? (specifically mind control?) mention and abuse
we were wondering if you could help us out here and I hope I’m just being paranoid and wrong
We’re a system and we just remembered recently something we went through and we aren’t sure if it’s just the usual gaslighting and manipulation or if it falls under mind control
just to sum it up, when were 5-6, there was someone who had convinced us that we were related and that their biological family was actually our biological family, and that our current family actually adopted us.
they continued to use this against us and reinforced it a lot. They would force us into bullying our only friend, taking the blame for everything they’ve done leading us to get in trouble, make us do other things we didn’t want, etc typically by using things such as “do [blank] to prove you really care about your real family” or “we’re real family, meaning you’d do anything for me” etc (not word for word obviously, but relatively what was said)
this is where the dissociation started for us and we became dependent on that person (and I’m sure where our co-dependency comes from) to be used as a tool for them. They even often got their friends involved in this, leading to a group manipulating us into this delusion to be used. We were forced into believing we were this person’s sibling and that we had a “fake life” (leading to the start of our struggle of sense of self and not being able to grasp who we were)
we’ve read on mind control, but it’s still confusing to us and we just aren’t sure if this counts or not
hi. please see a professional about this.
this is very serious, and very concerning. I am not a professional and can't really tell you what this is or how to deal with it, so please seek some kind of person who is able to assist better than I can.
as a ramcoa system, I am sorry for what you went through.
