Lots of sad fics about MC inevitably getting older and dying, but consider this; accidental immortality? I’d like to imagine everyone getting stressed and worried because they know you’ll die in less than 100 years, and we all know how demons don’t really notice the passage of time in the same way that humans do, and it cracks me up to imagine the boys celebrating your 50th birthday to only just realise you’ve not aged a day since they met? satan peering at you in a perplexed way from across the dinner table as you reach forward with a perfectly youthful hand to cut the cake for everyone,for him to just reach out and grab your hand, inspecting it for signs of aging as mammon grumbles in the back about “hey, whaddya think ya doin’, chump? Ya ain’t their number one-“ to have him wave a hand to indicate silence as he looks at you with a harrowing gaze. “You’re 50, right? Shouldn’t you.. look…different?” His punctuated confusion just sets off a bomb in everyone else’s heads as they realise that truly, their darling mc hasn’t aged a day? How could anyone have not noticed? Cackling tbh

This one will most likely be toward the end of Febuwhump because it’s one of two that might get away from me in length if I let it. Basically the clones are beings who don’t age, and they settle on Ahch-To slightly before the Jedi. Obi-Wan crashes on the planet, and Cody and his brothers fish him out of the ocean, and he tells them that he’s looking for a place for his family to settle. The Jedi join the clones and over the centuries the clones come to be protectors of the Jedi who always seem to find their way back to them in each life. Of course, not every life is ideal, and things sometimes go terribly wrong. It will be snippets of Codywan’s lives together with cameos from other clones and their Jedi.

I haven't talked about very many of my AUs on here, but this is one of my favorites.

I love the idea that Gideon always embodies some sort of 'death' symbolism in the stories he's in. I've played with ideas and written a shorter one-shot about him being Genya's reaper. So when I started world building with a friend after being *way* too excited about Epic, I knew I wanted for him to eventually be a nod to Hades/the Hades equivalent.

I talk more below lol. Just thought it was getting long-

The butterfly in his hand is significant in more than one way. He's normally scared of butterflies because in his nightmares, his loved ones are devoured by hoards of black butterflies. He's convinced that they can not only eat people but trap their souls, being able to literally reap them from bodies by their probosci. Lol.

However, butterflies have a lot of symbolism regarding the afterlife and are sometimes theorized to be able to go between realms. They are often regarded by people as visitors of passed on souls. So the black butterfly eventually becomes a companion for Gideon, helping him get over his fear and eventually accept his upcoming role as King of the dead.

I am a sucker for Au’s that are so far away removed from the original, that it’s basically an original story, but with all my beloved characters and relationships.

Anyways, immortal Dee Au. It’s him right after clawing his way up from his grave after the first time he died. Did I mention I live for angst?

Yes I drew him in his normal clothes, because I really think he would hate being buried in a suit, so he was buried in what he was comfortable in.

Basically the Au is just: Dee’s having one hell of a time and can not catch a break. Also, how do you approach your family after they buried you like a month ago?

I don’t think I’m going to write anything of this, but if someone wishes to, please tell me so I can read it.

I have been thinking So Much about immortal Exile and Revan (because getting cut off from the thing that binds all living things in the way she did messed up Meetra's connection to mortality, and the sith magic kinda stuck to Revan)

Because like...they're tragic lesbians; they just fly around being Space Mums together; Meetra gets to watch and nourish the order she planted the seeds for grow into something beautiful and better than the order that exiled her; Revan gets to enact the social justice she justly deserves to enact; they're both incredibly powerful but the millennia of time they have lived had limited how much they access it

(Also then Meetra gets to play an actual part in the swtor storyline and I can and will get into that if asked)

(I will also talk about my swtor OCs, I've been playing that game all week after a few months hiatus and I am once again Obsessed)

But back to the immortality AU - Meetra is Yoda's teacher, and also Tarre Vizsla's (although that one is kinda a joint effort between her and Revan)

Meetra goes through Exile Arc 2: Electric Boogaloo after she gives the order to Bastila, and starts travelling the edge of the galaxy, searching for a sign of Revan but also slightly drowning herself in her Perpetual Self-Hatred™ until one of the swtor MCs finds her and drags her back into Galactic Politics

I haven't read enough high republic to know how they'd affect that yet lol

I think Duke should be immortal in the "cannot die" sense and Jason should be immortal in the "cannot stay dead" sense and that they should keep this a secret from everyone including each other. And then they should both get caught in a situation that Absolutely Should Kill Them Instantly, miraculously not die, and then be like:

Like Jason shields Duke from some massive explosion or something, and Duke is horrified because he thinks Jason just pointlessly sacrificed himself for someone who would've been fine anyway - only for Jason to very casually come back from the dead, look at a completely unscathed Duke Thomas, and go, "Hey, what the fuck."

And Duke should look at a freshly revived Jason Todd and be like, "Me what the fuck? No you what the fuck."

And they end up both agreeing to not say a word about this to the rest of the Bats. Which poses issues. Because here you have a pair of unhinged vigilante siblings that do not fear death, that additionally now know they don't have to fear each other's deaths either, both unwilling to give anything less than everything they have to do what they think is right (and/or what they really, really want to).

So. Some things that happen in consequence:

Duke throws Jason off a fifty-story building in pursuit of some shoplifting rich asshole that was caught on camera insulting Duke's favorite metal band and being a classist fuck about it. This does, incidentally, re-traumatize Nightwing, who was ten feet away and not prepared to see his little brother yeeted off the side of a building, no grapple in sight - but it also traumatizes the shoplifter when Jason lands right in front of him, grotesquely knits himself back together, and rises from the ground in a distinctly horrifying fashion just to beat the shit out of him. So Duke takes the win.

Jason shoots Duke in the head to get him to stop shining light in his eyes in the middle of a gunfight. He does stop, but only because Batman shows up out of nowhere, and now Duke gets to pretend to be grievously injured while Batman yells at Jason about "self-control" and "maturity" and "putting teammates at risk." Meanwhile Duke is playing up this horrible concussion that he doesn't even have. Jason is seething. (Duke gets checked out at Leslie's. They convince her to lie for them by appealing to her inner petty bitch.)

Jason gets his payback a few months later by poisoning himself at an undercover op and subsequently forcing Duke to drag his dead body around a mob-owned nightclub for like half an hour trying to convince seasoned criminals that this brick shithouse of a man sprawled awkwardly across his back is just... really wasted. Totally not a corpse.

Both Jason and Duke get caught in many, many, many explosions after that initial reveal, and it's always terrifying for the rest of the Bats. It gets to a point where Batman refuses to partner Duke and Jason together for literally anything, because they always act fucking insane. Big metal vehicle moving hundreds of miles an hour towards an unsuspecting civilian? That's okay! Jason will just throw Duke in front if it. Unknown, volatile substance potentially being used by a notorious serial killer to murder his victims? No lab testing required! Duke will just pour a whole pint of the stuff on Jason's bare arm to see how it reacts. Bomb that can't be disarmed? Why wait for backup when these two psychopaths can just grab the thing and jump into the harbor? Like, genuinely. The stress. Bruce is one particularly traumatic incident away from actually considering therapy.

Non transmitigation au where Shen Yuan auditions for a part in PIDW on a lark when it gets a live action adaptation, not thinking he’ll actually get a part (he just wanted to be able to say he did it okay? He was dated okay??! He was not dared he just thought it’d be neat, but he’ll admit to nothing.) and, much to his horror, ends up cast as Shen Qingqiu.

He somehow accidentally makes Shen Qingqiu so likable that he’s the most popular character. The fandom goes feral over him. He becomes famous. New fans are joining the bandwagon in droves to watch him.

And all the while, Shen Yuan is frantically trying to pretend he isn’t the most notorious anti fan troll to clown on the internet. He has never heard of PIDW before what do you mean Peerless Cucumber whomst?
