Gideon meets the taller one's gaze and takes a step back, trying to get out of their way. Their ... Purple eyes are gorgeous even though they look *pissed* at him right now.

Generally, Gideon wouldn't resort to violence unless necessary. He had resolved to save his energy for that sort of thing in his demon slaying, not on a teammate or civilian. While he doesn't love that he was met harshly, he understands that some people just don't forgive easily. He did run into them, after all.

He holds their gaze, wondering if they would escalate the issue further. He didn't have any words that would help, because he'd already apologized. Sage eyes held out, not wanting to turn his back on someone who was angry with him.

"...I'll just ... Be going." He tentatively walks around them and tries to make their way down the path.

He wonders who they are...

Their purple eyes were deep like a void, but... Captivating. He'd not forget them.

The stone Hashira could sense it without seeing the wisteria marking on his wrist. The 5'8" boy who stood before him, Warhammer in both hands, was bowing. Sightlessly, he was judged by the strongest of the Hashira... And he trembled slightly under the weight of that.

"Yes, sir. I'm behind the classmates of mine who survived the mountain with me. But... I'm asking- no... Begging, for you to train me in the art of melee."

The stone Hashira contemplates this as he rubs the prayer beads in his hands together.

"...Prove to me your worth. Only then will I consider teaching you." He said. "If I am to gift you with time, you must show me you are ready to learn."

Gideon Azulyss looked up at the man before him. "I...I will!!"

He had no idea how he would, but... He had to try. his only other options were to train via his own devices and risk costly mistakes in battle. He needed mentorship. Guidance. He wasn't vying for a status of Tsuguko, just.... Survival. Some sort of help.

Gyomei sensed the arrival of his pupil, but Gideon in his loud thinking did not. He shouldered his hammer, turned to leave and unfortunately ran into the taller boy. Square into his chest.

He didn't know much about him, and he'd seen him before... But he'd never actually met Genya Shinazugawa. Unfortunately, running into someone physically wasn't a good start to meeting them formally.

He's very quick to apologize. "Oh fuck I'm so so sorry!! Are you okay? I didn't hear you at all!"
