I never expected someone to appreciate this show like I do! Finally!

The entire main cast of characters is so neurodivergent that it makes me happy to see what they got right as a character design. Elliott is so knowledgeable with combat information like guns and knives from his SpecOps missions, Hardison and Parker have already been graciously explained, and with the dynamic that Sophie and Nate have they don't seem too far off real life either. Sophie loves the thrill of going off script, and Nate being a control freak makes them all work so well together.

I miss the original and I have yet to see the new Leverage series.

I like how leverage has a genius character and an autistic character but the autistic character isn't the genius character. the genius is a 22 year old black man with adhd who becomes an expert in anything you give him within 24 hours and the autistic character is a white woman who jumps off buildings for fun and once stabbed a man with a fork because he encroached on her personal space and sense of moral conduct

The fact that Nate added them holding hands as they died in his story like what the -

not to read into things but the parallels between the Van Gogh job and the D.B. Cooper job and how the framing of the flashback scenes in each episode very directly distances Parker/Hardison and Parker/Eliot from the couples they’re representing using the photos!!!!!! That they very deliberately center on screen for a long ass time so the audience can get a good long look makes me insane

also the fact that the love story in those episodes is directly central to that episode’s narrative, like it’s the whole point of the episode!!! absolutely wild

See things like this further solidifies my HC that despite Parker's almost childlike naivety, out of the crew, Hardison is the most innocent 😅

I've gotten to The 12-Step Job and the Eliot-and-Hardison act is perhaps my favourite thing about the show to date. They bicker, they smack each other, they disarm bombs together, and Hardison decides his cover story is he's gay solely because he knows it will give Eliot six different aneurysms in ten seconds. (I also have to say, I liked the little detail of Eliot's hand shaking the moment before they disarm the bomb. It's an unusual character touch for a guy that tough and I appreciate that he's not fearless about everything, he's just capable of working through it.)

I know there are some folks in my circle who enjoy Leverage and I just want you all to know that I have watched one (1) episode of these four criminals and their brain cell slash child leash holder and I would die for all of them. But especially Elliot.
