the rundown job is a good segue into the finale, establishing that parker, hardison & eliot can and will be okay running the team on their own. but i also love that the frame up job largely exists to assure the audience, "don’t worry, sophie and nate won’t suddenly start being normal when they retire. in fact, they’re clearly only going to become 10x MORE weird and insufferable when left to their own devices". and that’s beautiful.
#the ot3 can stop a bio weapon attack with their polyamory.#and nate & sophie can solve a murder with the sheer force of their annoyingness.#the writers were like ‘ok 3 of our actors are doing that one ep so we need an ep w just our other 2. the theme will be Sterlings Nightmare’.#leverage#leverageposting#the rundown job#the frame up job#the frame-up job

when I started to become more openly black online instead of a generic furry trans artist, I noticed I have been facing a lot of racism from it
my characters and myself being more fetishized by reactionaries-
people questioning if I'm truly black, saying they'll just "pretend I'm a white person" (weird)
my vents about my grudges with white people being anti black to me is twisted into being too "mean to white people and that I'm on white devil speech and I need to be nicer to them"
it's just crazy how I'm treated no differently for being black online than I am IRL, and this is mostly done WITHIN leftist spaces. it's exhausting.

can we talk about how absolutely vile the color scheme of Nate's room is?
the walls are gray. the sheets are gray, which would be fine actually, but with gray walls it's too much. but the worst part is the disgusting (Fleabag voice) yellow green duvet.
you know Sophie made him redecorate before she slept with him in there
#haha ty for the peer review :) !!#you just know that one day he found his room completely redecorated and the ground covered in drop sheets and the walls half painted.#leverageposting

I can’t stop thinking about how there is actually NO reason why they all needed to go see Sophie’s play before they picked her up in the Nigerian Job and the only real explanation is that Nate was trolling the fuck out of them so he could set them up to be extra impressed when they saw her on her real stage.
#the doylist explanation is that the writers probably wanted to introduce her in that bc a) it’s funny and b) it sets up her character in the#most perfect way imo. like no matter how charming and cool she seems it is vital to remember she’s a dork.#the watsonian explanation is that nate was like ‘lmao’.#also he unironically loves watching her terrible acting so he couldn’t miss the opportunity. weirdos in love.#same guy who loves to say something vague and mysterious and then immediately walk away. ofc he took them to sophie’s play.#i wanna know what happened in the car ride afterwards… just awkward silence?#parker 3 seconds into the drive: (completely sincerely) so why do u act if ur so bad at it?#(tbh i would want to ask that out of genuine curiosity for why someone would do that. i just know not to actually ask lol).#leverageposting

sources confirm. "get you a girl who can do both" is explicitly, conclusively about sophie devereaux, who can go full cockney scrapper yelling, "oi, does your mother sew? stitch that!" before socking a thug across the jaw. but also takes out a man by sabreing a champagne cork into his eye. in the most elegant dress .
#the champagne cork thing is always on my mind.#the fact she’s so good at it very much implies this is something she’s not only done before but that she’s done a LOT.#we don’t exactly see her fight a lot so i love the little hint that she’s disturbingly good at this for Some Reason.#leverageposting

The funniest part about Person Of Interest is that the all-seeing plot device has an evil twin
#technically a literal deus ex machina BUT there is an entirely different evil deus ex machina so they cancel out.#person of interest

If there's anything that drives home how much Parker's grown since season 1 its the Girls' Night Out Job where she says "I don't want money." which three seasons ago would be a very un-Parker-like sentence.
#ty :) !!#leverageposting#it’s a great episode in general but also a great point in her character arc.#also it’s sweet how it goes from sophie pointing out to nate that parker had asked for their help for the first time in the juror 6 job and#sophie argues that they should help her… and in girls night out sophie is straight up trying to escape while parker asks for her advice lmao#i just love tara coming back and having an episode that’s just women being awesome lol.

I want to make this post separately because I know this is one of those insidious misinformation spiels that seep into regular Australian conversations.
Aboriginal is not a bad word. It's an identity. The idea that it means "original people" is true, sure, but it's just one of the many words that mean Indigenous to the land. All countries have their own version. That does not negate it's meaning as an identity.
You need to understand that what they called us before is a slur. Aborigines is a slur, and it still comes up when you search Aboriginal People. There are people in tumblr who still tag posts with that. Australians even.
It was our Elders, that fought hard to change the name from Aborigines to Aboriginal People. They fought during the White Australia Policy, they fought during the Stolen Generations and they still fight today. I say Elders, because they're still alive. The Uluru Statement From The Heart was proposed by Elders.
I won't let you dismiss and undermine the very identity of our people, the identity that my people fought to carve out, so that the later generations could hold their head up high. So the horrors of the past would never be forgotten, but would never be repeated.
I simply, will not let you disrespect the Elders that came before us in that way.
Call me Aboriginal, capitalise the 'A' and if anyone ever tells you that Aboriginal is not a real name for our people, tell them to shut the fuck up.

A good rule of thumb whenever a non-fiction author has "Dr." or "Phd" next to their name on the cover is to check if:
Their doctorate is real and from an accredited institution
Their doctorate is relevant to the subject matter of the book

”autistic people don’t do [ extremely common higher support need , higher level autistic trait / symptom ] , that just stereotype”
you need include us too : you need include childish autistic person , you need include nonverbal autistic person , you need include autistic person who drool , you need include autistic people with intellectual disability , you need include autistic person with loud messy public meltdowns .
can not hide behind “it just stereotype” because that not true . there are many people very disabled by autism , you need remember us and include us .
