lisa frankenstein and jennifer's body both have an inviting traumatic incident and i think the way that both of the rest of the movies are centered around how two teen girls react to it is soooo choice. with lisa it's all about being changed to be unacceptable to society, to have something fundamentally wrong with you and unable to be fixed. and w jennifer it's all about continuing to pretend everything is fine, the internal normalization and the moving on too fast in a way that leads you to becoming further from yourself.

They had one person they cared about, a familar place they had grown up in, and that was it. For all they know, they could be the last of their kind, with no way to learn about their heritage or those who might have come before them. Their lives are completely different now, but I think there's just an extra layer of loss in that fact for them.

While very much male, the ice deity has been dubbed "Princess" by Ohime and Ohiwe since they love to give lil nicknames to their fellow deities. The two overheard mortals talking and using the phrase "ice queen" for the first time and were like "wait can you elaborate" and when hearing what it meant, they realized their ice deity buddy bro is nowhere NEAR that cold. So he can be the ice princess rather than queen. (he just accepts his fate from them and no other deity uses that nickname. it's just the fire duo)

eh, I get having a project and losing motivation to finish it. there's so many instances of that, and I got a shit ton of projects I never finished because of the lack of motivation or art/writer's block

there's really no problem with not finishing a game or taking years to do so. it's not an easy task in any way

BUT I do think you should be able to be annoyed at how long a game is taking to come out, you can be impatient, it's fine! I hate waiting a year for another season of Rick and Morty (and the next season's only coming out next year due to grinding too hard or something), and though I do complain about the wait, I can recognize that it's not an easy thing to do — ESPECIALLY when it's an indie show

indie games will take a long time to make, and that is perfectly fine. I'm impatient but am fine waiting years for a good game. I'm pretty sure the main reason why people are verbally impatient with the development of Your Boyfriend, is because the creators have no idea who Yb is and continuously change his character's lore for some reason. not only that but they're just TERRIBLE people

Hot take for the night that I'm locking to my blog unless I'm feeling silly: even if a sub group is mistranslating or doing something different, I think it's still valuable to be able to analyze and read it on some level. Not that we should be okay with mistranslations or just simply accept them cause "we have no other option" but just to become more familiar with this other language and be able to pick up the sense that something is wrong and could be addressed or see how if this translation was accurate, how that can affect the narrative and text. You can say that a mistranslation is bad and that it's ruining the story but I think it'd be cool if you also went a step further and actually discussed it more than just "it's wrong and therefore it's bad"
