I'm watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi series again (because why not) and it's such a good show. They get everything right about these characters and the music score is frankly amazing. There are some goofy bits but that is 100% Star Wars. Once again I'm so happy that bait and switched us with the twins and we got a Leia story out of it.

I would absolutely watch a season 2, and I'd also watch a Leia show with Vivien Lyra Blair.

#honkai star rail #dan heng #genuinely have a million things i wanna draw and then zero energy #so dan heng in a hoodie #now i gotta go get dinner sooooo maybe that will give energy and then i can draw more of what i actually wanna draw #but i kinda spent like ... hours ? talking to my mom earlier today #since shes been in the hospital for many many days #so i was catching her up on whats been goin on and showed her silly lil videos #and telling her how hyped i was for summer hrid and she (very patient with my fe talk)#was like you always tell me about banners being bad so it must have made you REALLY happy to say the whole banner is good #and im like yeah and i had multiple people on multiple sites like hey salmon/moeblob did ya see the banner #and she was like thats so cool that people acknowledge who you like and im like yeah it is p cool #and then i told her how mad i was at the absolutely criminal act of limiting how you can watch clue (1985 hit movie)#like i told her yeah sure i own it twice on dvd and once on itunes and that the only way to watch those #are either desktop or ps2 and how i dont have access to my itunes email #and i dont have it on my laptop so i sadly would have to rebuy the movie on itunes under a new acct #then i said how i loved that it was free to watch with ads on yt and id watched it twice that way #but then recently wanted to watch it on there but laptop and hoo boy you have to buy or rent it now #so i v angrily was like fine whatever ill do the thing and leave my room and go watch it on my moms tv #while she isnt around and use her amazon prime where it should be included except ! IT WASNT!#YOU HAVE TO HAVE PRIME TO BUY OR RENT IT NOW TOO!#HOW ARE THEY DOING THIS AND WHY ! who in the world is watching this movie so much that isnt me that they have to charge for it now #on all platforms unless you straight up pirate it #and hey why would i of all people be needing to pirate a movie i own physically two times and digitally once #this is literally a personalized attack to me #and my mom was like i understand how you feel cause yeah thats really weird to do to a 1985 movie #and im like yes exactly i have morals and principles that make me opposed to this and its v maddening #and she said she understood and its ok next time we are having power issues and i have to shut down #that if i really wanna watch it i can rent it on her amazon account and i looked at her and shes like oh you feel v strongly about this #and i do! Listen. Do I know it's a bad idea to go into the MDL comments? Yes. Do I do it anyway? Of course I do. I'm nosy. I want to see what disasters are happening in there.

#movies #film #cinema #Damn I wish Cal was here #Andre and Ben are really interesting to listen to #This movie is one of those movies where it needs like 3 commentaries #It needs one with just Ben Coccio by himself #then one with Cal and Andre by themselves #then another with all 3 of them #Not all movies do that but I love when studios/filmmakers have multiple commentaries to create a sense of thorough intimacy #due to the nature of how commentaries are set up they can be quite restrictive/pressing/limited with no pauses or rewinds.#so I find cast/crew don't have enough time or able to present how they would like to if they could edit/rewind or pause for fluent presenta #So I love when they have director commentaries and actor commentaries or composer commentaries #Platoon's dvd extras are so dope they got multiple commentaries and one with military adviser Dale Dye who was a RL vietnam vet #Or Hostel's commentaries where one is just Eli Roth and another is Tarantino and Eli Roth with Scott Spiegal #idk if Zero Day ever got a blu-ray release but I think it should but the DV technology of the camera is kinda at it's limit of resolution #but an AI upscaling with 20 years later retrospective with Ben Cal and Andre would be sooo dope along with updated commentaries #Every few years I always rewatch Zero Day so that time has come that last few days lol #Ever since Columbine as a lil kid I have always been into spree-murders and active shooter incidents #I remember reading a peer-reviewed paper called Pseudo-Commandos #And Eric and Dylan and Andre and Cal would be dubbed Pseudo-Commandos where they dress up in a semi-military fashion #and have a delusion of superiority mixed with perceived sense of persecution whether it's true or not #it went into the Postal shooter from the 80s as well and what he went through along #plus I read another book called Going Postal which also went into postal shootings along with school shootings #I want to make a film about spree murders or an active shooter/s but I remember just getting so tired of the subject matter #because every 3 weeks there was some new shooter in the headlines and I found myself not wanting to be exploitative #When I write/direct my film I'd like it to address and study the character of such an individual but not try to be too political #or exploitative and focus on the ambiguities that are left behind when someone does this #as a society I noticed we stopped asking the questions on why and stopped having constructive conversations #it feels like as a coping mechanism we've started treating them like tornados or natural disasters

Oh no just Blu Rays in general was sinking the price of DVDs so the vendor was clearing out their DVDs even the ones without a Blu Ray release

Thankfully the prices for lots of DVDs never recovered much so a lot can till be gotten cheap (except Cutie Honey because I'd like it to be more like 40 bucks rather than 60). Being an old anime fan can be a blessing sometimes.

#lack of demand means the prices can be low #but it also means we aren't actually getting much anime #i should really get an arslan dvd set

really feeling the need to send anon hate right now <-licensing company took down only existing dubbed copy of anime i love Again

#like ok. story time #it is 2011 and a magigirl anime has just finished airing #for some reason the first country besides japan to get it is spain #less than a month after it ended #however it stops being aired right at the end and only half of it is released in dvd #(which i own)#then #10 years later in 2021 it's added to a streaming service #the full thing! which they must have had lying around for 10 whole years!#and then they keep adding other seasons that had never even been aired!#(whose rights they bought like 7 years ago too)#as well as other full anime series perfectly dubbed #and then two years later they take it all down again for no reason #and back to it really does not exist anywhere again #at least it was recently (like around 2021 too) picked up for fansub for some reason ? and has been fully subbed now #but im telling you there was a 10 year period with No way to watch it online at all #grrr #anyways. stupid fiasco reminded me i forgot to download the last 14 episodes or so i should get to that #but it makes me so mad what.#its just there in the vaults #at least release a dvd or something man #mar's midnight rambles

ages ago i said i was gonna do a stoner girl rewatch of the rookie and then didn't cause i ran out of green. but i got some now, so i'm finally gonna make good on that promise. especially since s6 is just around the corner.

I have told you before that Clue (1985) was available on Amazon Prime and today I have even better news. I don't know when it was added BUT ! it's FREE TO WATCH (with ads) ON YOUTUBE !

Also it's my favorite movie (this doesn't matter I just have to say it).

Also also just because I found this out five minutes ago it was released on Dec 13, 1985. Which was a Friday. A movie about a board game about murder released on Friday the 13th ? Truly a move of all time.

Sometimes you just don't sleep for 3 days because you're too busy weeping over the fact that a 111 year old mail ship at the bottom of the Atlantic will probably completely erode within your lifetime. for fun

#I've been trying to dig out my books and documentaries and memorabilia since i want to start reading up on it again #this ship was such a huge part of my life for such a long time #(to the point where when meeting new people sometimes my parents had to actively tell me not to bring it up in conversation lol)#because for like 5-6 years of my kid-to-preteen life it was the Big Thing my autistic ass brain latched onto #i managed to find 7 of my books‚ 2 cds‚ a vhs‚ a dvd‚ and two of my postcards to display with my new titanic coal hourglass my mom got me #but I'm sad i haven't managed to find the rest of my collection yet‚ i know i have more books and documentaries and posters and stuff #i know for a fact i didn't get rid of at least most of my collection #but I'll keep an eye out for em #they're bound to be somewhere in my garage‚ i just need to figure out what box they'd be in #but um. yes I'm very emotional about this particular boat and its occupants at the moment #but also i should probably take a nap I've spent the last 3 days pretty much just digging out and reading through my books #i haven't really slept much and i have stuff to do today lmao #I've just been so violently hit with this hyperfixation resurfacing that it's hard to think of much else at the moment lmao

OK turned my existential dread into productivity: moved some stuff around in the living room incl my failed potential broken press stand (i didn't post about it here when i built it, decided it was too tall for where i wanted to put it & i was afraid the press was too heavy for the shelves- first pic- but thought taking it all apart to send it back would be SO annoying so figured i should find somewhere else to put it) which got turned into record shelf. the prior record crate then got made into monstera stand. and then i also dusted the living room & swept the hallway & entry and watered my plants. also went through the latest pile of old stuff of mine from my mom (which i've been ignoring since JANUARY) which included some truly crusty burned cds (both mixes and anime !! which is so funny. you really could only fit two eps a cd), a giant pile of 10+ year old hair dye (i threw it all away instead of trying to save it for some inane purpose), my giant case of dvds & ps2/xbox360 games, a dvd player, and a radio cd player (!!) which got added to the new record stand (i haven't tested any of the less visibly fucked up burned cds yet). now it's a music zone. AND a i did laundry. AND also sent in an order for a sticker sheet which has been a request for a while from my sticker club people. anyway cd half life is coming for us all

#i need to get an external disc drive so i can rip & upload all my dvds and cds now that my mom gave me so many of the #m. need to do my archival duty #photo record #chatpost #art tag #i guess #thrown in there at the end #i was thinking i would make some broccoli & tofu now but i think instead i'm going to make a grilled cheese #i really should have packed my shop orders today but i feel better that i did some CLEANING i never have time to do stuff around the #house anymore !!#OH i also vacuumed out my air purifier AND the air vent in the bathroom 😎

#What do you MEAN Willis wasn't originally mentioned in the first 2 parts of the movie???#What do you *M E A N* the English release just cut out an entire chunk of the 3rd part that included the OG Digidestined getting kidnapped #And RESCUING THEM is the main inciting incident of the movie???#WHAT????#NEXT YOU'RE GONNA TELL ME THAT ALL-STAR BY SMASH MOUTH WASN'T IN THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE SOUNDTRACK??????????#I'M LOSING MY MIND #I GREW UP WITH THIS MOVIE #The re-release/re-dub that incited this for me cannot come any sooner #I should really look into unedited versions of early 2000s Japanese media I watched as a kid #They keep changing things without me realizing and I just end up thinking that's how it went for my whole adult life #At least I already knew Uranus and Neptune weren't cousins #Or I'd have been fucking GOBSMACKED when I bought the new DVDs #Digimon ranting in the tags I guess
