I'm watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi series again (because why not) and it's such a good show. They get everything right about these characters and the music score is frankly amazing. There are some goofy bits but that is 100% Star Wars. Once again I'm so happy that bait and switched us with the twins and we got a Leia story out of it.

I would absolutely watch a season 2, and I'd also watch a Leia show with Vivien Lyra Blair.

It’s been like six months and I’m still so impressed with the Obi-wan Kenobi show. I was really skeptical going in because I was like “meh he’s just gonna be on tatooine the whole time that’s kinda boring” but they got him off world! They gave him a lil mission! And in the most clever way possible!

I LOVED the fact that the inciting incident to get Obi-wan off world was about Leia. It doesn’t screw with the canon of Luke being a lil farm boy and we already know that Leia has Seen Some Shit. Getting kidnapped is just part of the job of being a princess (unfortunately).

It gave us an opportunity to see Obi-wan visit new worlds, reconnect with the force and also form a connection with Leia.

I don’t know why I was expecting some silly little show depicting “The Day In The Life Of Ben Kenobi” but I’m really glad of the part of his life they highlighted. Showing him work through his trauma and guilt and reconnect to the Force. It was truly such a good show.

i think the real proof about how meh mando s3 is so far is that i was so excited last year i was like my blog will be unusable when s3 airs. and then in actuality i talk about it for 2 days maybe after the episode airs and then i wipe my hands of it. like it feels like i talked more about fucking showbi wan when it was airing than mando

when you watch the first ep of kenobi and see Obi Wan eating a Hobo Man Dinner of Loneliness. they literally have a scene of him eating a tv dinner alone!

It's the perfect setting to be sad for a decade or so.

i just realised that the Forearm GrabTM in the vaderwan duel in the showbi-wan finale is metaphysically the same thing as the Thigh GrabTM in the reylo throne room fight.

appreciating how obi wan is like just sopping wet in 3 out of the like 6 live action apperances it rlly makes me happy they will see thjs guy and be like "ok but what if he was covered in water" and i think thats neat

Don't mind me, guys, just crying about the first two episodes of the Kenobi Show Showbiwan at 2:30am because they dropped them 3 hours early and I have no impulse control.

I know it's still kinda too early to call, but uhhhh. They might have gotten this one right, guys.
