Although Price isn't one for the dramatics or for excessive indulgence, even he has moments of weakness.

Sometimes, he just has a long, long week, spent between battlefields and war zones and black ops, escaping death and making the world a little cleaner while barely having a second to breathe. Sometimes he's longing for his love, who he knows is just as busy as he is, perhaps more, and is probably running shady deals in a country Price has never even been to before.

And sometimes he needs a drink to deal with all this. Or two. Or ten.

So what if Price ends up drunk in his flat, stupid songs from his teenage years echoing loudly as he sings the lyrics he still remembers while dancing, or stumbling, in his living room. He will regret this the next day when his head will feel like a crushed watermelon, but for now, he gets to wallow in how much he wishes Nikolai was here with him, drinking cheap beer and dancing by his side.

When Nik decided to cut his last travel short so he could come home and surprise John for the weekend, the last thing he expected to find was a drunk out of his mind John Price laying on the floor while "Rasputin" by Boney. M was playing on his speaker, singing loudly about "Russia's greatest love machine" and sobbing immediately after.

After taking a picture or two, in case he ever needs leverage one of these days, Nik helps his favorite captain, carrying him to the couch as he listens to Price blabbers in surprise, fingers gripping Nik's jacket for support. Nik smiles, lets a hand run through John's messy hair and kisses his forehead, apologizing for not being here sooner and offering to cook him a quick meal to sober up.

It takes all of Nik's strength to pull away from a very clingy John Price, his hands firmly gripping his clothes still, until finally he lets go, resuming his awful drunken singing while Nikolai looks at him with both endearment and a little bit of guilt. He should have been here sooner.

Next time, it will be by his side that John will get drunk, and it will be together that they will drunkly butcher songs while making the neighbors regret to ever moved in this apartment complex. That's a promise.

We should talk more about the fact Jason got swarmed and attacked by a mob as Robin, like??? Hello. He had to be left there because the mob was too violent with Batman near. He had to be taken to the hospital.

The next time we see him he's forcing himself out of bed and putting on the Robin costume thinking "I've gotta do what I can to help, even if it kills me!"

I cannot stop thinking about this story and the effects it probably had on him honestly. Do you think it's made him nervous in crowds, do you think it made him trust others just that bit less. Just the concept itself! I don't know about you guys but being attacked and grabbed and trampled into unconsciousness sounds absolutely terrifying! Did he black out, still getting hit, thinking he was going to die? Knowing he couldn't defend himself as his injuries to took their toll? At their complete mercy?
