oh this is a tricky question for me to answer, as the nettle...im not rly keeping track of the metrics or popularity polls. but if i had to guess, based on what girlies n such like lately:

This is still a fairly recent development so the current needed-SOME-foundation lore is:

talon and al were as together as talon would allow at the time (so not really) but he liked Al most even amidst his anxieties about men. He leaves for a long while with no contact once he realizes he's getting toooooo comfortable with al, comes back for another round of comfort and gets attached again to both the guy he knew AND the guy's boyfriend

I dont think Talon actually likes being referred to as boyfriend by either of them, nor would he refer to them as his boyfriends, but the attachment and "role" is still there and that's what they loosely consider him (i have to explore this further, theres still a lot i dont know abt him) while also knowing he could just decide to leave again if he so wishes

I do agree, and it's scientifically sound (pretty sure there is data about how people with better social networks live longer and etc) but also....augh..... what about the severe social issues, difficulty to leave the house, physical issues which lead to like zero socialization energy a majority of the time, etc. etc. Social support can be a replacement for structural support, but.. I guess I just wish it didn't have to be. Community is extremely difficult to build, even moreso if you're someone who has issues with social cues or group conversations or even just being around others in the first place. And blah, nuance, of course I'm just complaining or maybe being too negative or maybe misunderstanding, but, I hardly have the energy to brush my hair once every 2 months.. how am I supposed to maintain a wide social network and be active in a Community and Join Groups lol... sometimes it kind of feels like "er.. well if thats my only option then...... ruh roh". It's overwhelming

my dad and i used to sing billy joel’s piano man with each other at every family party. like not actually sing it like perform it with each other but it was on every playlist at every party and when it came on we’d stand in the middle of the room and sing all of five minutes and 38 seconds of it together. because my dad’s been the biggest billy joel fan since the dawn of time and i learned the words because it was his favorite song. anyways over the last couple of years i obviously rarely attend any family parties but when i do ive noticed that they still play piano man but he never looks for me to sing it with anymore. he’ll sing it with his cousin or his friend or my 3 year old cousin that obviously doesn’t know the words because she is literally 3 years old. and i know that this is some bizarre kind of punishment because that is who he is as a person so i try not to think about it. of course this is relevant now because on our rsvp for the wedding i (stupid) left a space for song requests and my dad did of course request piano man. and now i have to decide whether or not i want to put it on the playlist.

STEPDAD ZHAO!! he speaks to the teachers for belphie when he's caught sleeping in class or was too tired to do his homework and nearly always gets him let off the hook. after a while belphie starts getting genuinely sulky if zhao goes too long without tucking him into bed

(mammon's like "aren't you embarrassed, you're a grown demon" and belphie just chucks a pillow at him and goes to ask zhao to make him some hot chocolate)

he brings satan snacks whenever he's fixated on a book and tries to make them cat-themed whenever possible... one time satan gets a bowl of carrots cut into wonky cat-head shapes and he doesn't even like carrots, but he still eats them all

he talks to shop workers when levi's too nervous to, makes sure beel always has access to something nice and filling, helps asmo film stuff and is like 'you're doing great champ!!' the whole time, and is very painstakingly teaching mammon how to cook :')

Ray's After Ending is so funny because for a good chunk of it, most of the RFA members are knocked out by V's sleeping gas (Saeran is immune, Saeyoung isn't present bc he was kidnapped by his agency under his father's orders and MC wakes up in like an hour) but the game has a call feature where you can call the characters and it would be a waste if you couldn't use it bc the characters were unavailable so instead they have other people pick up the call (Jumin's driver picks up Jumin's phone, Jumin's father picks up Zen's phone, Yoosung's friends and mom pick up Yoosung's phone and Jaehee's coworkers pick up Jaehee's phone) and we do get to learn about the characters from outsider's point of view but it's so funny to me that these people are visiting their loved ones and suddenly the phone rings and they decide to just. answer it. and start talking to this stranger they've never met

Cassie hearing that Roxy is going to be living with them immediately suggests it and starts begging for it becauase she's always wanted a bunk bed and someone to share it with. Given Plot circumstances, Cassie's dad tells her they should let Roxy settle into all of this before bombarding her with the idea. The world and the situation she's in is hugely overwhelming and while he doesn't know her that well yet, even he can tell she's struggling with all of it. Cassie is... disappointed to say the least but it's not a no!! She understands!!! Roxy's all quiet and mopey at the moment, she can wait until she's feeling better, no problem!!!

So, she and her dad clear out and set up the spare room for her. They'd mostly just filled it with junk over time, but given Roxy's current state of mind, they decide that she and Cassie can share if and only if she wants to when she's ready. Until then, Roxy can have her own little space to hide away in as much as she likes.

It takes a long while before Cassie feels it's time to suggest it again. She explains what a bunk bed is to Roxy and shows her some pictures and Roxy loves the idea. There's just one problem... Roxy doesn't want to lose her own space now that she has it. She's never had that before and the idea of giving it up for a cool bunk bed is enough to put her off the idea. But Cassie is clever. She gets it. She's thought about all of this. She wants her damn bunkbed okay, she's got this all figured out.

If they both had a bunk bed in their own rooms, they could have bunkbed sleepovers! They already stay in each other's rooms all the time, but if they had a bunkbed in at least one, then they could still enjoy a bunkbed without giving up a room. Roxy is sold on the idea pretty fast, and they start brainstorming how to set them up, what they can do with them, and all sorts of stuff. They also work out how they're gonna convince Cassie's dad to let them do it, cause ya know. Can't do it without him.

They convince him eventually, and Cassie's dad - who knows a guy that can help them - comes up with a solution that gives them both what they want, in a way he can afford a bit easier. They take Roxy's bed frame and loft it on top of Cassie's to create the first bunk. Roxy feels a bit torn over the idea, having grown attached to everything that could be considered hers already, so they take this part slow so she can properly adjust to the idea of a new set up. Cassie has her dream bunkbed, and now frequently switches which bunks she sleeps on but favours the top one. She fucking loves it, and even more so when Roxy joins her for a sleepover. This is the best thing ever to her! She's loving it!!

Roxy was a bit harder to please. Mostly because she doesn't know what she wants. The concept of having a choice at all is something she's being real slow about, but now she's closer with Cassie's dad, she's much happier about him helping her work it all out. Cassie's also helping spitball ideas as well so they come to a solution she likes with a little time and effort. Of course they wait until she's decided before they bunk the two beds together. Anyway, Roxy ends up with just a singular bunk. Just one high up bed with enough space for another under it. Instead of another bed frame, there's a mattress with sheets, a quilt and a pillow, along with other such comfy stuff on the floor. They also hook a curtain on it so she can hide away in a smaller, cosier space if she so chooses. Why not just another regular bed underneath? Roxy sat under it on the floor in the furniture store and it just so happened to be the perfect height in her eyes. A proper bed there would have made it too cramped :( This way, she has just the right amount of space she wants and needs!

Both bunks have warm fairy lights and are covered in stickers real fast. After a while, they add a tent/canopy thing over Cassie's because Cassie got attached to how cosy Roxy's little space was. Roxy gradually adds more and more comfy things to that space, includes big bean bags to sit (and nap) on, glow in the dark stars on the walls, plushies, fluffy pillows, whatever strikes her fancy. Sometimes they still share one bunk when they have sleepovers, and other times they don't. Sometimes they're just hanging out all night in that cosy little space under Roxy's bed until they both fall asleep, and sometimes they're just using them for shenanigans like the one time they were working to build a card tower all the way up to the ceiling and needed the top beds to reach the top to keep it going. They did it with cups and legos as well by the way.

They have fun! It might take some time for things to settle so they can do it, but when they do, they have fun with it!

✨🎥! Forgot to say, I have a wedding in April but no dress/suit/clothes. I’m desperately looking but every single day I’m more disappointed in the quality of the fashion industry. Even the most basic thing is shit quality and cost 5 times what it should. So yeah, if anyone has recommendations on clothes (not necessarily for weddings or events, but in general) that are good quality, let me know

i know how you feel, affordable decent clothing is fucking impossible right now. honestly my best advice is thrifting/secondhand. idk what the situation for that is like in spain so maybe it's not possible, but it's always worth a shot, especially if you've already been looking for a while. it does obvs take more time than shopping new bc you have to sift through racks, but you're more likely to get a good find of better quality for a more reasonable price. my general thrifting advice (honestly this applies to any clothes shopping also) is first look for the colour and shape that you like, and then look at the material content. this is very important. do not look at brand that means nothing. always always always check the material content on the tags. ideally you want to be looking for garments that have 100% natural fibres; wool, cotton, silk, linen, rayon/viscose (yes it is natural despite the name). if you can't find 100% than something with an 80/20 ratio or more (to the natural side) can also be a safer bet, but my rule of thumb is the more polyester is in a garment, the worse it is in every way.

my general advice for wedding attire is unless you need black tie, don't worry about trying to find a full suit or a really fancy dress you're only gonna wear once. get a good pair of dark formal trousers (black/grey/navy), wear a dress shirt or a formal blouse, and throw on a nice tailored jacket that's in the same colour family. is it technically only semi-formal? yes, but who does true formal weddings and actually cares about sartorial rules. in this economy? psh. some visual aids:

it's a great combo for any 'events you have to look nice at' because you only have to buy individual pieces, you don't have to buy them all at the same time, and they can be reused for other events. just find out what the colour theme of the event is and get yourself a shirt or tie/pocket square/scarf/other accessory in that colour and you're good to go. also do not forget a good pair of shoes. this is also very important; always have a good pair of shoes.

hopefully this helps! i'm sorry i don't have better recommendations on where to actually go to buy stuff/what to buy, but i haven't shopped new in......quite a long time. but at least having some tips to go by should help. and tbh sometimes you do gotta cough up the money.....BUT only ever cough up the money for something that is 100% natural fibre and is a piece that will get use outside of a single event. otherwise you just gotta be patient and keep looking; if you are patient things have a way of coming to you.

Oh my god, I absolutely LOVE this question! I've never really thought about it tbh, but it would make a good smile shot or two, wouldn't it?

I've been rotating this question around my brain all evening, and figure this is as good a place as any to share some surface thoughts on how their relationship evolved in those 11 months leading up to Crystal Springs:

Scott did NOT warm up fast at ALL. He only agreed to give Jack another chance BECAUSE Mother Nature and Bernard were like no, this isn't a trick, it's legit, dude

January was HARD

Jack reported for duty right away, offered to help all over the place

First day in Jack gets them both cocoas. Santa does NOT drink his because who KNOWS what Jack did to it

Anyway, January, bad, Jack is like doing as MUCH as he can to help where he can and Scott is just watching like a HAWK, man is NOT taking any chances with Jack this time around, no sir

But Jack doesn't do anything bad? He's a little silly, kind of an ass still, but the Workshop, surprisingly, doesn't implode

He is actually helping in some places. Scott's wildin. He's like there's no fucking way. He's being this earnest? Fr? He's not plotting or scheming or causing shenanigans?

Carol I think warms up to Jack first! She eventually convinces Scott to lay off a bit, he's had AMPLE time to DO something but hasn't, has just been helping out like they sentenced him to do

She's seen plenty of students in her time who pull themselves up by their bootstraps like this, and I'm sure she makes a Charlie comparison to soften Scott up a bit

And Scott's like okay. Okay maybe stop spreading yourself so thin? Let's narrow things down. Stuff you hate? You don't have to do it

Queue Jack being like thank GOD because let me tell you toy making? JUST NO. Splinters? Slivers? And these undersized tools? STRONG PASS

He does, actually, drink this bevvy. He is pleasantly surprised when Jack doesn't actually do anything to it, and even more surprised that he finds it quite tasty--the man can make a drink.

February turns into March, and by then Jack's kinda found his stride and Scott's let him do some things with him, a bit for him to keep a close watch on him, and a bit bc he finds himself appreciating the company

It's kind of nice to have an. ACQUAINTANCE. That isn't an elf.

That's how letter time starts; Santa sits and reads and responds to letters, and Jack joins him and just kinda. Yap yap yap yap YAPS. Dude can CHAT. And it's not completely annoying! He's got crazy good stories, knows a lot of dirt about the OTHER Legends, and is always very nice to Carol and Buddy

He also sometimes has some very good things to add to the letters when Santa's coming up empty

"See? He's helping," Carol says, for the umpteenth time, and Scott's like "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

He's been around for a hot minute, too, and Scott finds himself enthralled sometimes with Jack's stories of ancient cultures he was around for--especially Rome!

Again, surface thoughts! I imagine it was gradual, and took some time, and took a lot of other people warming up to him first before Scott was like okay. Okay cool. I can trust this guy now! There's some other things I think that helped, too. I think he was v good with Baby Buddy as he got more towards the toddler end of the spectrum! And I think he had some like, heart of gold kind of moments too!

It's very VAGUE tbh! I just know for sure it was gradual, and took time, and a whole lot of patience and I'm sure blowing off some steam via snowstorms every so often too, lol.

Here's a funny little excerpt from the CS notes that I imagine happened some time during Letter Time, to illustrate how I think letter time helped (like 4 o'clock coffee with my aunts! They stop, have coffee with each other and just chat and shoot the shit and I always learn so many new things about them every time I'm at one!)
