also like.....lex from s1 of lois and clark is actually a really good dad??? like from what we see of his interactions with the clone superman in the episode Vatman, like.....comparatively, to other lex luthors, hes a really good dad to the superman clone
and like. this episode came out just after kon was created (same year or like a year later) and lex is good! sure hes a mad scientist who created a superman clone so he could destroy superman, but hes not that bad! and the clone only had medical problems because he was genetically unstable, not because of anything lex did bad to him! in fact, lex was trying to make him better!

Spoilers if you haven't seen the episode
Tumblr media
Starting things off the episode title is My Adventures with Supergirl. An obvious nod to the show title, but also good way to acknowledge the journey we had with Kara whether its seeing her past, what she did under Brainiac's control, and what our trio will do to help Kara be free from Brainiac.
Tumblr media
Makes sense that Henshaw is part of the Human Defense Corp (or Squadron in this case) and it looks like the fool dies so maybe Cyborg Superman in the future who know, but I talked about the Human Defense Corp here and Hank Henshaw here.
Tumblr media
As Superman and Kara lie on the street thanks to the Metallos and Brainiac's control over them, we see them get saved by the Intergang and Livewire and Heatwave! I talked more about Intergang here and Livewire and Heatwave here and here respectively.
Tumblr media
Later in the scene Roughhouse makes a subtle reference to Lobo, but "the Main Man" in this case is referring to General Sam Lane. But if Lobo shows up in a future season, I'll talk more about him, and god I want to see him show up so bad!
Tumblr media
Over where Lois, Jimmy, and Steve are, the Metallos chase after them and are saved by Dr. John Henry Irons a.k.a. Steel! I talked more about him here. I'd love to see him wear the helmet like his comic counterpart and the red cape in a future episode.
Tumblr media
Later in the episode Superman, Kara, Intergang, Livewire, Heatwave, and Steel attack Brainiac's station and were able to break though his defenses and as they enter Brainiac's chamber, Brainiac activates Kara's brainwashing saying "Eradicator Override"
Tumblr media
If you know your Superman comics, the Eradicator was first mentioned in Action Comics Annual #2 (1989) [W: Roger Stern, Jerry Ordway, George Perez, P: Mike Mignola, I: George Perez, C: Glenn Whitmore, L: Bill Oakley] where it was a weapon that was used to kill the Cleric on Krypton who was spreading his message about peace and the unethical uses of cloning on Krypton.
The weapon would later be found by Superman and it caused more problems for him until he threw it away in Antarctica where it created the Fortress of Solitude.
Tumblr media
Later during the death of Superman, the Eradicator would emerge as an energy being who takes on the visage of Superman, take Clark's body back to the Fortress so he can heal, and would be one of the four Supermen who took over for Superman at that time. This version of the Eradicator first appeared in Action Comics #687 (1993) [W: Roger Stern, P: Jackson Guice, I: Denis Rodier, C: Glenn Whitmore, L: Bill Oakley]
Tumblr media
When we see Kara fight Superman under the control of Brainiac later, she has red eyes just like the Eradicator in the comics as shown here in the panel from Superman #82 (1993) [W&P: Dan Jurgens, I: Brett Breeding, C: Glenn Whitmore, L: John Costanza].
Tumblr media
Later in the episode, Clark, Lois, and Jimmy try to calm Kara and help her fight against Brainiac's influence and they succeed (also had me tear up in that moment too) and shout out Kara's Canary Cry! Black Canary would be proud AF!
Tumblr media
After pushing back on Brainiac's station Clark and Kara battle Brainiac in space and Brainiac monologues about Krypton's destruction and his excuse of existing. He activates the weapon that destroyed Krypton, the Black Zero Protocol.
Tumblr media
The first and only known version of Black Zero that destroyed Krypton was in Superman #205 (1968) [W: Otto Binder, P&I: Al Plastino] where the saboteur was hired to destroy Krypton by accelerating the internal planetary stresses that caused the planet to explode. He was planning on doing the same to the Earth before Superman stopped him. Other iterations and uses of the Black Zero name include, a Kryptonian Terrorist Group that created a computer virus of the same name that infected the Fortress of Solitude, a clone of Conner Kent, and a Kryptonian military group.
Tumblr media
After Kara took the hit and plunged into the sun, she and Clark are saved thanks to their Kryptonian physiology because they get their powers from the Sun. You notice their Kryptonite scarring/veins glow a gold color bringing to mind...
Tumblr media
Superman Prime One Million from DC Million #4 (1998) [P: Val Semekis, I: Prentis Rollins, C: Pat Garrahy & Heroic Age] who is OG Superman after outliving all his family and friends traveled throughout the DC universe and absorbing the Sun's radiant energy for like hundreds of years where his powers are now near infinite levels giving him this gold look. This version of Superman according to Grant Morrison is the same as the one in All-Star Superman.
In a Kryptonian religious sense, you could argue that Rao, the sun god of the Kryptonians, saved his last two people from death and giving them power to fight against Brainiac.
Tumblr media
The MAwS crew really love their DBZ cuz the sun aura Clark and Kara give off is the same vibe as what Super Saiyans have when they power up.
Tumblr media
We then see Kara and Clark glow a red and blue aura respectively which, I might be reading into it a lot, could be symbolic of Nightwing and Flamebird, the Kryptonian gods/heroes/dragons and the identities that Clark and Kara took up at one point in the comics with Clark taking up the Nightwing name and Kara taking up the Flamebird name. Also maybe its Superman Blue and Superman Red sorta deal who knows. It was cool though.
Tumblr media
By the end of the episode we see people tuning to the aftermath of what happened and we see Channel 52 on display. I talked more about that here.
Tumblr media
We then see Lex and Slade looking up on the LexCorp building. I talked more about LexCorp here but its first appearance in the comics is in The Man of Steel #2 (1986) [W&P: John Byrne, I: Dick Giordano, C: Tom Zuiko, L: John Costanza] as shown below:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Shout out to Clark still wearing the Stussy S/the cool S
Tumblr media
and finally we close out the episode with Clark and Kara going to stop the fire at Perez Plaza, named after legendary artist George Perez.
Tumblr media
George Perez is well known for his Wonder Woman run and being the co-creator of the Teen Titans in the 80s with Marv Wolfman. He helped design Lex Luthor's iconic battle suit (I really hope to see it in MAwS someday). Perez also had a run on the Superman comics too. He worked on Action Comics for a short while as penciler and did some breakdown work on the title. He also wrote and inked on the Adventure of Superman comics. Perez wrote, did the layouts, and drew the cover art for the 2011 Superman run. If you love the Teen Titans/Titans, like me, you gotta give thanks to this man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DC in 2022 did a really awesome tribute to him by collaborating with other DC artists to show how much of an impact his career was on the DC universe give both images a look cuz its beautiful and you can see which artist did which character. Also check this video out and see George Perez work his art magic:
youtube
And with that our episodic look at the Easter Eggs and references come to an end, but we still have the other 4 issues of the My Adventures with Superman tie-in comic so come back here again in August for that.
In the mean time when we get a date for season 3 I highly recommend reading the My Adventures with Superman comics, read The Man of Steel (1986) limited series because a lot of pop culture's understanding of the Superman mythos and characters comes from that limited series, read the Death of Superman, A World Without Superman, and Reign of the Supermen because you will see how much of an impact Superman made defending Metropolis from Doomsday, his death affecting everyone he met, and his glorious return. Also give the DC Rebirth era of Superman comics a shot too because you get to see Lois and Clark raise a son. The DC Infinite Frontier Superman run that came after the Rebirth era is just as good that I highly recommend reading too. Out of continuity wise definitely check out Superman: Secret Identity, All-Star Superman, Kingdom Come, the current World's Finest run, and Superman vs the Amazing Spider-Man.
In terms of watching highly recommend watching Superman the Animated Series because that series is equally good to MAwS and it helped build out the DCAU which I also highly recommend everyone to dive into. Shin Ultraman (and hell basically all of the Ultraman media) because like Superman its an alien who defends the Earth, hides amongst the population and actually thinks human beings can live up to their potential. Tsuburaya's Ultraman and Superman would be damn good friends. If you need some goofy fun, the Super Friends is a fun watch if you need light hearted cartoons.

Young Justice S2 Ep8
Tbh I get Roy because how did Oliver not know that the Roy he found after 3 months was not the actual Roy? But I also understand y Oliver didn't realize because he was worried about Roy to the extent that he was just relieved and content when "Roy" showed up and didn't bother to think it's weird.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ngl I feel like Oliver in Arrow CW would have known if the clone Roy was fake cause Oliver in the TV show is really serious compared to Oliver in the cartoons. But that doesn't mean I don't like both Oliver's. I actually love both of them cause they're both different.
I'm happy that Connor found someone else. I mean yeah they rnt dating or anything but I just want Connor to be happy. I don't want him to suffer anymore. Megan put him through a lot and won't even acknowledge it. Also, idk y but they give me Superman x Lois vibes. I have no idea y but they do.
Tumblr media
NOW I'M ACTUALLY LOST. IS ROBIN DEAD?! AND THE ROBIN WE HAVE NOW IS JUST ANOTHER RANDOM KID BATMAN ADOPTED? I'm actually so lost. No matter how many times I read ur guys's explanation I still get lost cause u guys keep saying Batman adopted 3 kids: Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Tim/Robin & Jason Todd/Red Hood (I think) but then y did they change Robin's name from S1 (Dick Grayson) to Tim in S2? Also, Idk if I'm right and what u guys r saying is what I will say rn but I think the Dick Grayson/Nightwing in S2 rn was Robin in S1 because he said smth like he and Zatanna had a thing in the last episode and literally in S1 Robin and Zatanna were flirting together and kissed in the second last episode. So technically, whenever Batman adopts kids, they always end up training as Robin and then grow up into whatever superhero they want to right? Because the Robin in S2 looks younger then Zatanna and Zatanna and Robin were a thing in S1 and the only explanation is that Dick Grayson/Nightwing was Robin from S1 cause no way that new baby Robin is the same age as Zatanna now.
Tell me if I'm right guys.

They're so fine.

What are ur fav timkon aus?
the au that lives in my and @adjit's dms where tim never becomes robin and instead works with lois lane as an investigative journalism intern/junior guy or whatever, and supernova complains to superman that this guy KEEPS poking his nose into things and getting in trouble, and superman rubs the back of his neck ruefully and says yeah... lois is definitely enabling that. and then oops! they fall in love
the au that lives in my and @adjit's dms where tim gets cloned and replaced and nobody has a good time but then everything is okay because kon loves and supports clones so fiercely and he inspires this poor clone who was just made to fulfill a purpose and then be killed to actually have hope and a desire to live his own life and be his own person. and he is our perfect little baby boy do you want to know more about him please ask us more questions about him we have so much to say about himā€”
the au that lives in my and @adjit's dms where adult superheroes timkon end up training a gaggle of teenagers (tim teaches them nonpowered combat and gadgetry; kon becomes the beloved mentor of a baby telekinetic or two) and we get outsider pov shenanigans and whatnot
timkon love square au concept bc whats better than shenanigans. nothing. but they have to be best friends to lovers also bc otherwise whats the point
theres probably other smaller spaces i find fun to play in too (like adapting the plots of star trek episodes onto them or whatever teehee) but i can't really think of anything specific else at this moment. (<- guy with bad memory)

I finally got around watching Young Justice and I love it so far. I finished Bialaya episode, though, and I have one problem with it specifically and one subplot in general. Imo Superboy and M'gann shouldn't get together, they shouldn't fall in love at all. He is not mentally ready, I think. He should have more time to grow as a person, to learn who he is outside of the Superman's clone, genomorph, get a freaking name, maybe some friends outside of YJ not because other members are bad friends but because he should get a chance to learn to be a person outside of being a hero. He should not go around trying to kiss with M'gann.
I don't have problems with Wally and his overly flirty behaviour, because he is teenager and I heard people say awkward stuff like that and people react to that with right amount of annoyance.
I do have problems with kid who "didn't exist half a year ago" getting into romantic relationships. I feel like this should be a moment when M'gann should back off, especially after getting to see even glimpses of his mind. He is not ready
Also, she just up and left Kaldur like it was nothing to rescue Superboy. I know he was in pain etc. But Kaldur was like, nearly dying, right? And she knew rest of the team couldn't transport him to Bioship for medical intervention fast? And she just left! And there was nearly no consequences for it? No, "M'gann, what the fuck?"! No, "you shouldn't have done this"? She had her romantic adventure with Superboy ending with almost kissing and Kaldur almost died from dehydration and there is nothing for it other than mid annoyance. WHERE ARE THE CONSEQUENCES?!
Though, on a lighter note, I was cackling when I realised that Queen Bee send literal army after this bunch of kids. They were shooting at these teenagers from tanks and planes. How big of a danger were they considered to be. Even if rightfully, just why go so far to use tanks?!

My Adventures With... Supermen?
Alright, so, I just got done watching the third episode of My Adventures with Superman's second season, Fullmetal Scientist. Great episode, fun episode, as per usual. However, certain inclusions have me scratching my head, leading me to only one big question...
Which would be a spoiler, so beware below, but...
Are they gonna kill Superman?
Now, I am not confident in this conclusion at all, it is purely because of two primary character inclusions in the past few episodes that seem to be pointing in this direction. It could mean nothing, but I am crazy.
To see what I mean, we need to jump back to the 90's. One of DC's major events within that period was titled Reign of the Supermen. It was a story that was spread across the 4 main Superman comics of the time, Superman, Action Comics, Superman: The Man of Steel, and Adventures of Superman (ha). This brief storyline, in short, followed 4 Superman Related characters as they vie for the role of his successor. This is because, right before this, Superman famously died.
Yeah, this event is the sequel to the Death of Superman, and builds up to his revival at its end. It wasn't very long, less than a year, but it is there. However, what is important for now is who our four Supermen are.
Tumblr media
The first, who we'll skim over because he is least important right now, is The Eradicator, some freak alien who steals Clark's body and takes his identity. The details currently don't matter, though keep a lookout for their stupid glasses!
Tumblr media
The second is Conner Kent's Superboy. This is the clone one made up of Clark and Lex's DNA. You may recognize him from the series Young Justice, however, at this point, he was in his Leather Jacket Era, not his black T-Shirt era.
Tumblr media
However the final two are more interesting to see. The first we'll talk about is Cyborg Superman. He was once astronaut Hank Henshaw, but he got all fucked up in space, blaming Superman for it for plot reasons. When he eventually died because of space, he was able to upload his mind into a almost clone body of Superman with Robot bits. He then claims to just be Superman revived. Eradicator does this too, but it's funnier for him.
Tumblr media
Finally, there is who is one of the more popular characters we see in this event, probably only rivaled by Conner, that being John Henry Irons, aka Steel. He is the only one without Super in the name, having designed to design a suit that helps him be like Superman, though he also gives himself a rad as hell hammer because John Henry. He was later played by Shaq.
So, now we jump back to present day, with MAWS's second season. The first episode draws the gang to S.T.A.R. Labs in Coast City (A place important to the Reign of the Supermen arc for reasons we don't have time to get into and probably won't get into because it probably won't happen exactly like the comic if it does happen in the show) and we meet Hank Henshaw. Neat, me and many others think. It makes sense, he is a space science guy, so might as well draw on a character from the lore. Plus, it gives the creators the opportunity to do a Cyborg Superman later down the line, as this show does love its robots. However, I didn't think much more of it. That was until Episode 3, an episode primarily dedicated to introducing John Irons and making him Steel, if briefly. Now, on its own, this is still innocuous, he is a fairly popular Superman character, and they do a great job with him, I love his larger bodied design.
However, things become suspicious when these two are introduced in such rapid succession. The writers want these Supermen in play for... something. It, of course, hasn't introduced all of them. There has really been no trace of Eradicator, and it seems weird to have Lex cloning Superman this early in the show. So, while we have half of the Supermen here, we aren't quite there yet. Although... We do have another Super nearing us very soon.
Tumblr media
Much of this season's arc seems to be prepping for the introduction of Supergirl, Kara Zor-El. You know her, she got her own TV show, she's probably more popular than most of the characters we've seen in this post. However, we don't know too much about her role in the season past that. From what we've seen from annoyingly spoilery Toonami bumbers, she's probably being controlled by the remnants of the Kryptonian empire, whether it be ruled by Zod or Braniac, and whether it being of her own volition or not, and her current arc seems nebulous. However, Superman has built up quite the positive reputation even just in the single season we've seen him in. Imagine the kind of pressure, whether she has taken an antagonistic role in the past of the series or not, that it may place on her if Superman "dies" (or get sent across the galaxy or captured by the government and made to be presumed dead by the public or something). Especially if she has to take down an evil Cyborg claiming to be her cousin.
Do I think this will happen this season. It's probably too early to say, but I find it to be... doubtful. I have my doubts to them ever "killing" Superman, fakeout or not. If they did, it would probably be a season finale cliffhanger before having a 2 episode premier the next season with a Reign/Return of Superman arc the next season. However, they definitely want to do something Reign related at some point. Whether that means "killing off" Supes is yet to be seen. Though, given how close the two arcs are to each other and how much the government (Amanda Waller) wants to kill Superman, I wouldn't be surprised.
Long story short... Uh... Good episode, fun episode. I like this show a lot and I hope it keeps being good.

This episode man...
This is a damn good Superman series.
I all but stood up and cheered when the House of Zod and his Full-Blown Space Armada was 30 seconds away from straight-up invading Earth but were apparently so in denial about Jor-El's warning that the fricking origin story blew them straight to hell.
I love how they finally name dropped General Sam Lane, implied that he was about to or just had a kid on Zero Day, and had Waller confirm that Clark reminds him of Lois, but still won't actually reveal it until next weeks episode about Fathers.
They were already hinting he subverts the 'heartless general' archetype before, but the way his resolve just breaks when he sees the tears streaming down Clark's face...
The attention to detail with the subtle confirmation that Waller didn't miss Livewire realizing she retained her powers without the suit...
And then Deathstroke gets his trademark eyepatch when she fries his eye out of its socket...
The Kaiju Parasite is a bit excessive, and in a lesser series it would be the season finale villain, but overall it's a pretty cool design, and this isn't over yet.
More attention to detail with the fact that Clark immediately healed when the sun oh-so-symbolically rose, and the emphasis on the dropped bag as a cue to notice Jimmy would pick it up- these people know what they're doing.
I find it interesting that (presumably) Zod is already in superhuman aspect, leading me to believe that he, and by extension Clark, were in fact intentionally engineered as living weapons rather than gaining powers inadvertently from the sun (and to reassert the part of my theory that Clark looks just like him, likely due to being some form of clone.) But it probably is actually Zod rather than a Dark Clark if he was an adult on Zero Day.
So we're just gonna have the most awkward family dinner in the world, where Lois has to explain that The General is actually her dad, Ma and Pa Kent finally make *another* onscreen appearance, Jimmy and Lois collectively freak the hell out over the Dark Clark reveal, and then Zod is just gonna burst through the wall battered from having spent twenty years flying here the long way...

Iā€™ve been reading the Wonder Woman, George PĆ©rez Omnibus and itā€™s really good but reading it made me a little sad because Wonder Woman has so many good characters. Sheā€™s got her own supporting cast, amazing villains, and great storylineā€™s, and they are never used in anything.
Like, I donā€™t wanna be that DC fan that compares Wonder Woman to Batman and Superman too much, butā€¦ She has her own Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, her own Lex Luthor, her own Joker. In multiple Batman stories and adaptations, Barbara is paralysed, Jason is killed, Batmanā€™s back is broken. In multiple Superman adaptations, heā€™s defeated by Doomsday and replaced by Superman clones, and fails to save his father. In a lot of adaptations, these storylineā€™s are mentioned or seen, and are very well knownā€¦ weā€™ll Wonder Woman also has these, yet they never show up in anything, because she never gets to do anything.
Yes, Cheetah, Circe and Ares will show up in Wonder Woman related media, but typically only as the obligatory ā€œWonder Woman villainā€ whilst Joker and Lex steal the limelight. Steve Trevor has shown up multiple times in Wonder Woman media, as her main love interest, but is either not fleshed out, or is ignored and usually dead by the end of it.
Imagine a Batman movie, show, game or whatever, and in this hypothetical media, Alfred is never mentioned, nor is any of the Batfamily. Joker and Bane are in it, but theyā€™re basically glorified cameos, and Selina Kyle makes an appearance as his love interest but dies at the end. Thatā€™s the reality Wonder Woman is living in 90% of the time.
I think it doesnā€™t help that most casual DC fans knowledge of Wonder Woman lore is through the DCAU Justice League show. As much as I love that show, sheā€™s not a very good adaptation IMO. She hardly interacts with Cheetah, Circe is a joke villain and Ares shows up onceā€¦ dear god. As I said earlier, Cheetah is like the obligatory Wonder Woman villain. If the JL is fighting a group of villains, usually Cheetah is just thrown in there because it would be unfair to have 5 Superman villains and 6 Batman villains with no Wonder Woman villains. Because of this though, she never gets to do anything really, and whilst yes, she and Diana do interact, their interaction boils down to a short animated fight, and maybe one or two fleeting mentions of them being past friends/nemesisā€™. The worst offender is the JL episode focused on Wonder Woman and Themyscira, ā€œFury.ā€ Itā€™s an episode about a rogue Amazon, spreading a virus that aims to wipe out all men and let women dominate the Earth. Not only is this Amazon an OC and not an actual Wonder Woman villain, but the main hero is Hawkgirl for some reason, and the whole episode kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth because of how disjointed the message is. Itā€™s trying to say ā€œWomen need men, as much as men need womenā€ but ironically the entire episode just shows men being incompetent and women solving everything so thatā€™s odd.
My point is, it feels like so much effort is put into DC media to incorporate as much elements of Batman and Supermanā€™s supporting cast, villains and worldbuilding, yet even if Wonder Woman is a main character as well, she wonā€™t get that same luxury, and the most sheā€™ll get is them throwing in Steve Trevor and Cheetah out of obligation, whilst Superman and Batman get to bring their entire roster.

I thought the alternate universe episode was going to be the ā€œfrustratingā€ storyline in season 3 that my friend told me about bc it was almost the end of the episode and I was thinking ā€œoh, Lois is stuck here and they canā€™t get married bc sheā€™s stuck in an alternate universe and has to find her way home while also helping alternate Clark become Superman.ā€ And I was actually super excited about this. Like, I can totally get behind a multi-episode alternate universe storyline if itā€™s done well. It had a lot of potential. That was such a good episode and I was sort of disappointed at the end when she made it back and it turned out not to be the storyline people donā€™t like. Then I got to the beginning of the Lois clone arc and yeah, not liking this. I think it would have been ok if the real Lois didnā€™t get knocked out and forget who she is and then gets convinced by Lex Luthor that sheā€™s in love with him and just doesnā€™t remember. I hope this doesnā€™t go on for too many more episodes.

The Venture Bros Rewatch notes: Careers in Science
gonna start a new reblog chain every two episodes so they dont become too long. this one is a doozy to me. SO much of s7 is scraped from this one episode
I can't stop imaging the implications of Venture Industries going from being a fairly sized cutting-edge company that had over 2000 employees just on the Gargantua 1 (so way more on earth), to having absolutely zero staff and their main HQ building in NY closing (to become the impossible building (and then impossible industries crashing when he goes evil (and tHEN VENTECH CRASHING [literally!!!] after JJ dies (i just think that scraper is cursed))))
I love how Brock is in sweats and a beanie. He saw those dorky spacesuits and said absolutely fucking not
Also, the opening conversation between Brock and Baldavich is SO funnnnnnny. This woman hasn't had sex in 6 years at least and is getting off on guiding a rocket into a space station.
okay i dont care about bud as a character but he'd be a great inciting incident imagine if he had interpreted the Morse and opened the machine and saw Jonas - and THAT was why Rusty and Brock were called up to the Gargantua 1 during this episode
we know Bud was the paperboy on Gargantua 1, so he has essentially been on that space station since Jonas died, for the past twenty whole years. Not straight, literally, but still, jesus. Mentally at least. I'm actually surprised he wasn't able to remember Morse code and decipher the blinks of the Problem Machine. i imagine it was incredibly traumatic and that why he hasn't led a life in any other way, he's still a paperboy twenty years later.
Bud thinking Brock is dr. venture is hilarious it reminds me of fullmetal alchemist. if we want to be gay, he COULD
what is WITH brock's shorts over his sweatpants wtf on earth. so superman
Doc never even took the pills before he hit his head on the console after the gravity was turned back on. i TRULY think he was talking to Jonas' consciousness. the conversation between them is so funny. "youre a hallucination" "fine maybe. but even if im a hallucination im still your dad. what did you do to my space station"
the way hank and dean get so mad and upset when they think doc is dead its actually very touching and sad when you think about how at this point theyre still being endlessly cloned
"you were just flipping switch. think! cmon tiny wonder, you helped me build this thing." "i was just a kid i just wanted to play cowboys and indians, who lets a ten year old help build a space station anyways!"
hank and dean thinking brock is wrestling the phantom space man, and then fucking the phantom space man, they just took it on the chin and assumed immediately Brock would have sex with a man
"oh rusty you don't need diet pills, you just need to figure some things out. remember lad, the solution was in you all the time." either rusty is hallucinating jonas saying that or the man's bodiless head really is trying to encourage his son.
either way it speaks a lot to their relationship. i feel like verbally jonas was very upbeat and forceful optimism, and it was his actions endangering rusty and lack of emotional care that really traumatized rusty as a child
"he has a huge mushroom, does he have a smurf living in it!" i laughed
"you already took it! in the lap! from...not! me!" laughed so much
rusty's childhood toys gunking up the gargantua 1 console. there is a metaphor living in here somewhere
the way bud talks is so old fashioned even for the show. he's got to be the same age as rusty yet he talks like professor impossible or even more anachronistically. maybe baldavich has only been there for 6 years, but bud has been manning the station for multiple tours on end and has only old media to entertain himself with
i love the little zhu-zhu-zhu-zhu-zhuuuuu music its only in the very early episodes
"oh man whats it like being a giant liar"
the suit pee dripping....SO GROSS yet as an animator lover i appreciate it
overall i really do love this episode. first one without racism, thank god above. the joke of baldavich being super ugly is lame, but its tamer than in its always sunny in philadelphia with the way dee is treated like a bird.
i seriously am trying to wrap my head around what it would be like if jonas had actually been recovered in season one. so much character development not done, so much just hasn't happened yet would it even matter? would it be better for jonas jr to be born after jonas comes back to life or after?
tiny bit off track, but i keep picturing an alternate universe where rusty and jj are born at the same time and jonas is still disabled but more interested in science but stuck at home whereas rusty is terrified but able bodied and expected to follow their father everywhere. rusty being a big brother.........

Intergang: how MAWS can tap into its potential
Tumblr media
Weā€™re halfway through My Adventures With Superman and I love this show a lot so far. Itā€™s easily one of my favorite Superman adaptations and I love talking about it with my friends every week. The characters are all charming and understandable, I find the story very interesting so far, its animation is mostly solid and is carried by an art style I absolutely love, I can recommend it to just about anyone.
I will say though, one thing that kinda frustrates me about the show currently is how centered discussion is on Clark and Lois. And I get it, theyā€™re the two main characters of the mythos as well as the show and theyā€™re both very cute and very good characters. That being said, I feel like the other characters deserve their time to shine. Jimmy is my favorite character in the show so far and heā€™s (ironically) been pretty shafted in terms of discussion. The villains get it the worst though. Imma be honest, even if I can see the complaints for the villains all currently being tech based (even though thatā€™s in favor of the story), itā€™s the writing on a fundamental level that Iā€™m concerned about. And yes, I think that MAWS handles its villains far better than STAS. While STASā€™s villains are very inconsistent, MAWSā€™s villains are all in the same ballpark in terms of writing and each and every single one of them deserves exploration. And I wanna talk about the villains that I think have the most potential: Intergang.
So letā€™s get stuff cleared up first since the episode keeps it vague and as such most people and the wikis donā€™t take this into account.
Tumblr media
Silver Banshee is Siobhan McDougal, thatā€™s pretty clear in the episode. Mist in the episode is simply addressed to as Kyle, and a lot assume itā€™s Nimbus even though the episode never really states that, nor do the credits. However, he refers to Siobhan as his sister more than once, which Albert doesnā€™t do. And if we look at this promotional material, the article addresses Mist as Kyle McDougal. In MAWS, Siobhan and Kyle are biological siblings. Rough House isnā€™t biologically related to the two, rather a very good friend. This is another thing the episode doesnā€™t state but in MAWS, Rough House is Albert Donovan which references how Rough House is a clone working for Intergang in the comics and Dr. Dabney Donovan is a Superman rogue also from the comics who specializes in cloning. In fact, he made Rough House in the comics. So this lays out the dynamic of the group that a lot of people seem to miss: Siobhan and Kyle are biological siblings, Albert is found family. Pretty small potatoes compared to everyone else admittedly. Onto the main point: Intergang have the best dynamic out of any of the villains in the series so far.
I feel like the best way to put it is that Siobhan, Kyle and Albert sorta mirror Lois, Clark and Jimmy in a way. Given a lot of the drama in the later episodes, Intergang acts a reflection of the intern trio: not taken seriously and barely given opportunity to rise up. Main difference is that Intergang has been doing their schtick for a lot longer, and thus their bond is a lot closer. Letā€™s start with Siobhan:
Tumblr media
Siobhan acts as in a leader role not too far off from Lois. Siobhan genuinely cares for both Kyle and Albert but serves as the middle ground for Kyle and Albertā€™s back and forths instead. She also contrasts well with Livewire from the last episode, as Siobhan is constantly positive with the trio and searches for an opportunity to grab respect. Sheā€™s also leans harder into the leadership role than Lois does. Kyle and Albert follow her a lot more than Jimmy and Clark follow Lois (which may also have to do with their different positions) and she doesnā€™t exclude them from the dynamic because they all have the same end goal. Heck, Kyle and Albert burst into Strykerā€™s just to free Siobhan. Also, Siobhan in general just has a lot of that same energy that makes Lois so fun, just with some more punkishness to her and her respect for the people she loves is probably above her pursuit for respect itself.
And next up we have Kyle:
Tumblr media
This may surprise you but I think Kyle mirrors Clark the most for a few reasons. The biggest of which being caution. Siobhan and Albert share a LOT of the same energy together and Kyle basically acts as the straight man to their more active attitudes. Kyle acts pretty secretively compared to the other two with a big desire to hide their real names and is really critical of Albert especially. Their back and forths are basically that small crack in the trio as Kyleā€™s tolerance for the slip ups is not very high at all. Itā€™s clear that he works with Albert for Siobhanā€™s sake but even then their first appearance shows that theyā€™re willing to put aside a lot for the end goal and the trio functions well because of that. Iā€™ve seen people push him aside and him getting cut from the opening does make me a little scared for the future but either way I love Kyle. He helps balance out the trio a lot and heā€™s very entertaining in general.
And finally, we have Albert:
Tumblr media
I definitely see Albert as the Jimmy of the group forā€¦ a lot of reasons actually. Rough House is the most consistently enthusiastic in the group, heā€™s a bit of a goofball, he can come off as frustrating to Kyle especially (while Lois and Clark more so see Jimmy as more of an oddball), and Kyle and Siobhan already have a connection that Albertā€™s not in, this time being the biological kind. The big difference? Albert is consistently included in the group. Heā€™s clearly Siobhanā€™s best friend and Kyle brings him along to free Siobhan even while being frustrated with him. It actually makes sense to me that people refer to both Kyle and Albert as Siobhanā€™s brothers since yeah, Albertā€™s basically family to them.
Now, Intergangā€™s only got one episode so far and Supermanā€™s villains are notorious for being underutilized. Whether it be Parasite, Livewire, Toyman or even Silver Banshee, they could always have room for more expansion. My hope is that MAWS will actually expand on its villains this time so how do I think Intergang can be expanded on?
First idea: contrast them with other villains. Livewire and Heat Wave both have gangs much bigger than the trio but Leslie puts her gang down and Heat Waveā€™s gang ditches her. Intergang functions much better as a unit even if Livewire and Heat Wave have more experience. Plus, compared to those two we havenā€™t gotten any glimpses on their reactions to Task Force X, mainly because they were the first ones captured after Livewire. Maybe make the trio more interested in what Waller offers compared to the other criminals. Or at least write it in a way where Task Force X, whether they oblige or resist, are their rise to fame.
Second idea: include Jimmy. I love Jimmyā€™s relationship with Siobhan in the Williamson run. Do I think it can work here? Absolutely! Both of them bring their respective trios together and their personalities would compliment each other well. I see it as with Clark and Lois dealing with relationship stuff, Jimmy ends up forming one with Siobhan and as a result is welcomed into the trio as a friend. Kyle would be suspicious but at the end of the day he just wants whatā€™s best for his sister.
Third idea: SUPERPOWERS!!! Kyle and Albert I think work fine with just their tech but Siobhanā€™s definitely the odd one out. I feel like a storyline involving her gaining them would be really interesting, especially since we have seen what it would be like is Siobhan didnā€™t have control over what she ended up being capable of. Plus it could give more of Kyle and Albert working together for Siobhan and Iā€™d be down to see more of that. Or Siobhan going solo for Kyle and Albertā€™s safety. Or Mist getting powers and Jimmy trying to help him out and both of them gain mutual respect, the possibilities are endless!
Iā€™ll reblog and update this whenever we get more significant appearances from the trio, I feel like itā€™s pretty guaranteed weā€™ll see them again before season 1 ends. I made this because I love this trio, I feel like Iā€™m the only one who cares about them and I feel like Iā€™m the only one whoā€™ll care if the show somehow manages to screw their dynamic up. Either way, Iā€™m holding out hope and I also hope this little study got you more interested in the trio. Whether its fanart, fanfics, edits, what have you, show your love for MAWS Intergang if you can! I know I will.

So I fucked something up so all my CxB Week 2023 shit is going to be late
I wanted to join in @priestessofnox's Clark x Brainy Week 2023 but it all went down the drain cause I got distracted by a fanfic I tried to make for fanfic Friday/day 2 but it needs proof reading.(One of the only times I've ever gotten someone to be a beta reader/proof reader) I'll post that eventually on DA & A03 with a link here.
Day 1 was beginnings
Decided to have it be the beginning of Conner joining the family, going from a lonely existence in Lex Luther's lab to living in a loving family with a couple half siblings.(Since he's a clone of Clark & Luther)
Brainy has on an exo-skeleton/armor that comes from the fanfic I was working on. It's meant to be like his old cybernetics. The guy behind him is Van, Clark & Brainy's first kid who is based on a kid Clark had in a dream from an episode of Justice League Unlimited.
Conner doesn't have the family symbol yet but he will eventually. I originally made my design based on Conner from the Young Justice cartoon but tried to change some stuff like his old design from the comics & mix in some My Adventures with Superman designs in there.
I got maybe some other pics I'll post later.
Link to the list of days for CxB Week 2023

Hay I've seen a lot of people's ideas about season 3 specifically Superboy. I've seen them think that he'll be made in the Maws reality in that time and place and others theorized that he's a time traveler. I even have my own theory that well he's a Superboy from a different side of the multiverse. I mean we've seen the multiverse introduce when the league of lois Lane came into the show. Mind if I ask you which one do you think. Cuz like I said I think it's a Superboy from a different side of the multiverse.
Ooh! A super boy from other parts of the Multiverse? I haven't heard that one yet. I like that.
I feel like the usual "Clone of Superman" is the easiest way to go but this show loves to play with the lore. I don't think they'll go for something so straight forward.
My guess is that he'll be presented as a clone and a few episodes later we'll get some kind of twist, that his DNA was mixed with Superman and someone else. (It could be Luthor. We don't know where his headspace will be at when the time comes but for right now I can't imagine he'd put his DNA in the clone)
Or maybe the twist will be that being a clone was just a cover story for him as a time traveler or like you said from another dimension. I can see potential in either.

The saga of the Huntress and the Question (so what do you think their ship-name should be? Let me know in the comments!)
[All images are owned by DC Comics and Warner Bros Discovery. I hope Iā€™m too small-fry to sue...]
In Justice League (Unlimited), and in fact the entire Dini-verse, despite the fact that it was written for a younger audience, there are a large number of themes that surprisingly mature. One theme is romance.
Obviously Batman has Catwoman and Talia Al-Guhl and Superman has Lois Lane. However, the two Justice League series has four (including a love triangle)!
Tumblr media
Green Arrow and Black Carnary
Tumblr media
John Stewart and Hawkgirlā€¦
Tumblr media
ā€¦as well as Vixen
Tumblr media
Batman and Wonder Woman (they never go anywhere with this, but itā€™s obvious they have feelings for one another. Iā€™ll have to do a deep dive on this one of these days)
And finally, the subject of this weekā€™s review. First, letā€™s discuss the participants, as most people arenā€™t comic geeks who love the minor heroes more than the marquee onesā€¦
Tumblr media
The Huntress debuted on Earth-2 (where DC stashed their Golden Age heroes until they were needed) prior to Crisis as Helena Wayne, the daughter of Bruce and Selina Wayne. Following Crisis, she was reimagined as Helena Bertinelli, the last surviving family member of a slain Mob Boss, who became a ruthless vigilante in an attempt to avenge her dead family.
Huntress makes her debut in a brief appearance fighting a bunch of robot spiders (but thatā€™s not important for this review)
Tumblr media
The Question was created by Steve Ditko as part of Charleton Comicsā€™ ā€œAction Lineā€ (which was ended a year later). When Ditko joined DC Comics, the company (as a ā€œgiftā€) bought the rights to the Action Line, dumping them on Earth-4 in the DC Multiverse and forgetting about them until Crisis (though they were re-imagined in Watchmen, with the Question being the inspiration for Rorschach)
In the comics, the Question was a very philosophical hero (starting out following the teachings of Ayn Rand in Charlton, and Zen Buddhism following Crisis). However, in JLU the Question is a cynical conspiracy theorist looking for everyoneā€™s ā€œangleā€.
Tumblr media
Question made his debut working with Supergirl and Green Arrow trying to find out why Supergirl was having disturbing dreams (while I wonā€™t cover that for this review, it is kinda important as youā€™ll soon discover)
And now that weā€™ve established the players, on to the story!
NOTE: I will mainly be focusing the scenes involving Huntress and the Question. Any elements beyond their involvement I will likely ignore (unless itā€™s important later) If you would like to view the episodes in their entirety, theyā€™re available on Max or behind your favorite paywall.
PREVIOUSLY ONā€¦
Following the events of A Better World, an organization known as Cadmus (a government shadow ops group with off-the-books funding from Luthor) emerges of the Leagueā€™s radar, performing such acts as illegal cloning (including a clone of Supergirl, which was the source of her bad dreams (told you it would be important)) The Question begins poking into Cadmusā€™s business after helping Supergirl and Green Arrow, trying to find the bottom of that rabbit hole.
Meanwhile, Lex Luthor has announced his candidacy for President (and is apparently doing well despite his criminal past. A criminal billionaire with no prior political career running for President? Like that could ever happen!)
Now, on with the show!
Tumblr media
We open at the estate of Mafia Boss Steven Mandragora where a couple of his bodyguards are arguing about their secret scone recipe (sure, why not?) when they hear a noise in the bushes. Suddenly a figure from the bushes makes short work of them (but, this being for kids, doesnā€™t kill them despite using a crossbow) The figure then scales the building and enters the study.
Tumblr media
You were expecting someone else?
Huntress uses an aerosol to spot the alarm beams and evade them. She then enters Mandragoraā€™s bedroom and shoots the figure under the blanket (OK, this got dark quick!) Howeverā€¦
Tumblr media
ā€¦as you may have guessed, Mandragora isnā€™t there. She then gets contacted by Jā€™onn in the Watchtower and teleported.
Tumblr media
Guess whoā€™s in trouble? Jā€™onn expels Huntress from the Justice League. As she goes to her quarters to gather her thingsā€¦
Tumblr media
Huntress enters the Questionā€™s quarters, makes fun of his looks (what she thinks he looks like under his faceless mask) and his obsession before offering to help him with Cadmus in exchange for helping her track down Mandragora. (Something tells me she knows two things about Cadmus: Jack and Squat)
And where is Mandragora?
Tumblr media
In a safe house being guarded by the FBI, Green Arrow, and Black Canary. Turns out Mandragora has promised to turn Stateā€™s Evidence against his fellow Mob Bosses in exchange for Witness Protection.
Meanwhile, the Question has found out about Mandragoraā€™s location, and offers to tag along with Huntress.
Later, Mandragoraā€™s goons, dressed as cops, attack the FBI while Canary and Arrow are on lookout duty outside. Thenā€¦
youtube
(Thanks to Princess Darkseid)
A wee bit later, as Huntress and the Question head to the waterfront, the Question reveals he knows Huntress knows nothing about Cadmus. Further, he knows about her connection to Mandragora.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, if the Question knows why Huntress wants Mandragora, and that she has nothing to offer in exchange for his help, why is he helping?
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Canary (with Arrow riding behind) has caught up with them and demands that they stop. Question drives his car into a rail tunnel. Just one problemā€¦
Tumblr media
Question manages to turn into the side tunnel before the train hits him, but Arrow has to call for Jā€™onn to teleport him and Canary. Jā€™onn does soā€¦over the bay where they land safely in the water.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Question reveals that thereā€™s a freighter from Mandragoraā€™s country arriving shortly.
(Thanks to Unlimited)
So now the Huntress and the Question are An Item, but itā€™s not their last appearance together. This episode focused primarily on the Huntressā€™s obsession, while the next is all about the Question.
Tumblr media
We open on Metropolis, where a warlord from Apokolips named Mantis is tearing up the city.
Fortunately, Superman is on the scene with an assist by Captain Atom (another Charlton import: Captain Nathanial Adams (USAF) was condemned for a crime he didnā€™t commit. He exchanged his death sentence for being a guinea pig for an experiment that turned him into a living nuclear reactor (similar to Firestorm, but with energy conversion instead of matter manipulation)) After a brief battle, Superman manages to activate Mantisā€™s Boom Tube and Captain Atom blasts Mantis through.
Following the attack, Lois Lane shows up looking for alone time with Superman, so Captain Adam makes himself scarce. After leaving, Captain Atom is summoned by General Eiling (calling the good Captain by his actual name)ā€¦
Tumblr media
ā€¦and drafts him into Cadmus.
Meanwhile, the Question and the Huntress have a ā€œdate nightā€ where they break into LexCorp to dig up information about Cadmus.
Tumblr media
Eventually, Question manages to download the files, but Huntress now wants an actual date in return. (Exactly how can they have a date night like regular people when Huntress hasnā€™t even seen Questionā€™s face? Itā€™s not like he can eat while wearing that mask!)
Later in Questionā€™s apartment (wait, why does he have an apartment? He has free housing in the Watchtower!)
youtube
(Thanks to Blue Kryptonite)
The Question goes to the Watchtower to confront Superman about this. Question reveals he knows what the Justice Lords didā€¦and that events are lining up to make those same events happen in our universe!
Tumblr media
Despite Supermanā€™s assurances, the Question storms out of the Watchtower and toā€¦
(Thanks again to Unlimited)
Huntress guesses that Cadmus must have Question.
Tumblr media
Superman agrees to help Huntress rescue Question.
Obviously, Cadmus was expecting this. Fortunately for Huntress, Cadmusā€™s weaponry doesnā€™t affect Superman so she can hide behind him. Then Superman spots something and flies off, leaving Huntress to deal with Cadmusā€™s goon squad.
Tumblr media
I think she's fine, if a bit annoyed.
They eventually find Question and free himā€¦
Tumblr media
ā€¦though heā€™s still a bit loopy (even for him) As they prepare to leaveā€¦
Tumblr media
(You thought I casually mentioned Eiling drafting Captain Atom?)
The episode ends there and picks up on the next episodeā€¦
Tumblr media
Fortunately, Superman manages to keep Captain Atom busy and gives Huntress his comlink so she can contact the Watchtower once sheā€™s clear. One problemā€¦
Tumblr media
Huntress tell Jā€™onn what he can do with his attitude and demands transport to save the Question (who, despite everything, is still a Member in Good Standing)
Later, in the infirmary, Question tells Huntress about the aerosol that seals/removes the mask from his face and changes his hair color, since he was having trouble breathing through it. After using the sprayā€¦
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dā€™AWWWWWWW!
Now they can have a proper date night once he recovers!
Hope you enjoyed! Please let me know if there are any other JLU characters you would like to see a deep dive on (not that many got enough screen time to be able to)

Harley Quinn season 4 review/spoilers and links/trivia for people
I finished season 4 of Harley Quinn which began in 2019 developed by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey. The plot revolves around Harley voiced by Kaley Cuoco who has broken up with the Joker setting off to become the new queenpin in Gotham City. Eventually, Harley dates Poison Ivy voiced by Lake Bell. Harley also gains friends such as Clayface voiced by Tudyk, King Shark voiced by Ron Funches, Doctor Psycho voiced by Tony Hale and Sy Borgman voiced by Jason Alexander. So it took me two days to finish season 4 and watch the Valentines Day Special. Here's what I thought was good about season 4:
Harley and Ivy learned they needed to communicate better as a couple after their future daughter tells them they were bad parents who never listened to her.
Seeing how Harley and Ivy attempted to balance their separate jobs as villains and heroes and make their romantic relationship work. Couples getting different jobs can affect an intimate relationship in real life.
The bat family not accepting Harley was good. Batgirl liked Harley due to hanging out with her but Nightwing and Damian didn't have much of a reason to like Harley.
Harley hanging out and training with Alfred was sweet.
King Shark having to be a new dad was comical. He thought being a single dad would be easy like what he had seen on television. For better or worse, Jim Gordon gives King Shark some advice such as giving the new shark babies liquor to calm down and allowing them to see violence on security cameras as a form of entertainment.
Nora Fries becoming Ivy's personal assistant was great. She is voiced by Rachel Dratch and has charm and wit. She's filling the spot that Ivy's talking plant Frank used to have.
Bane was wonderful as always. He's so sweet and I hope he can get back with Betty from the Valentines Day Special since Nora just seems to be using Bane was a lackey.
Lex Luther being the final villain for season 4 was well done. His obsession with Superman was his drive for blocking out the sun. There were little moments highlighting his Superman fetish such as when he demanded a man whom he was watching have intercourse put a Superman cape back on.
The final episode set Talia Al Ghul up to be the big villain for season 5. She brought Nightwing back to life in the Lazarus Pit who is now a creepy zombie of sorts out to get revenge on Harley.
Batgirl or Barbara Gordon getting shot by the Joker like in the comics. She's now exercising her computer skills and on her way to becoming the Oracle.
Things I didn't like about season 4:
Clayface didn't show up as much as I would have liked. He is in two episodes. He is now a celebrity and doesn't hang out with Harley and Ivy anymore.
Dr. Psycho-This was my favorite character and I was bummed about how he was demoted to being an extra after season two. I wanted to see him get a redemption arc but that doesn't happen. Still, his character does make appearances in season three and four which is nice.
Harley lying to Batgirl about Nightwing's death. She claims her potato clone killed Nightwing instead of admitting she was the one who killed Nightwing. Harley lying will no doubt lead to conflict between the two girls in season 5.
What was Batman doing in jail? I would have liked to have seen a whole episode focused on what he was doing but all we see is him being a DJ for two seconds.
The Joker's girlfriend Bethany and her kids turning evil. I didn't mind the Joker becoming evil again. I figured he would get tired of being mayor and go back to being a villain. Since Bethany was a nurse, I thought she would break up with the Joker after learning he was evil. Instead, she and her kids laugh, deciding to support the Joker in killing people. Season 3 showed Bethany and her kids to be good, decent civilians with no reason to become villains so the writing seemed a little weak with them in season 4.
I loved the Valentines Day Special. I was glad to see Bane find a special someone for him and for Harley/Ivy to enjoy their first Valentines Day together.
Extra Harley Quinn trivia if you go to the batman wiki link below :
Harley Quinn and Bruce Wayne got married in the White Knight comic series. The White Knight comics are about Joker becoming sane, adopting the name Jack Napier and protecting Gotham City, Jack marrying Harley Quinn and he becomes insane again unfortunately. Bruce reveals his identity as Batman to the public and has to adjust to life not being Batman. Joker dies eventually and Harley becomes a single mom to her two twins: a boy and a girl. Bruce helps support Harley and the two of them get married which you can read about in these links:
youtube
Batman/Harley in the White Knight comic universe is the only place this pairing has happened. Unfortunately, they don't look to be a happy couple. Harley grew attached to Bruce after the Joker died. She married Bruce so she wouldn't have to testify against him in court. Bruce tells Harley the main thing that has them bounded together is the trauma the Joker caused both of them. Upset, Harley insists there are mutual feelings between them which Bruce denies. Angry, Harley walks off and leaves Bruce to brood. I like this pairing but this comic series may not let Harley/Batman have a happy ending.
Harley is a wonderful character created in the DC universe. She needs to have someone who will treat her better than the Joker ever did. So far, she seems to be happiest with Poison Ivy from what I have seen in the Harley Quinn cartoon.

Finally got around to watching TMNT Next Mutation again! It's been forever šŸ˜
Ramblings under the cut...
Episode 12
Love Mikey having this pirate radio station? Thatā€™s a very Mikey thing to do actually, I genuinely really like this as a concept.
Don't do drugs kids!
Yes! Bonesteel! I love this guy so much look at this goofball.
Oh he has a new girlfriend weapon
Are you... broadcasting this Mikey? Fight scenes don't really translate well to radio my dude...
So many shell necklaces in one shot! It sure is the 90s!
The Unknowables? Nice - somehow you managed to make your gang sound like an edgy TV drama from the 2010s.
''You hate Mikey's show" "I don't hate Michelangelo..." Awww! I know that saying you 'don't hate' your son isn't exactly cute but that line delivery and the fact that he doesn't like the show but wants to listen to it anyway because it's Mikey... šŸ„ŗ
Venus and Raph not wanting to hang out with humans... valid. Same.
Splinter gets it too.
I see why the anti drug message of they're hosting a rave. Not like raves are exactly known for not being full of drugs really. So... raves are cool but drugs are not, got it? You can go to cool raves, but only if it's for charity and there are no drugs (or any kind of drinks or anything by the looks of things as well...)
I'm never going to get over how negative this Leo is. He always seems mad about having to help people? Who are you? What have you done with my blue boy?
That guy calling out the costumes... šŸ˜†
Ooh strobe effects.
Mikey has one of Those Hats.
"What's under that shell?" "Mace." Yeah you tell him Venus.
Bonesteel's fancy dress outfit is just so good though
Raph is finally having fun now he gets to fight lol. Wasn't that basically how it was in Secret of the Ooze too? He was miserable about being at a club but then he got to kick some ass and he was happy about that?
So many moral messages in this here episode. Don't hunt animals for sport guys! Protect endangered animals!
Episode 13
I loved that bit with Raph and Mikey just goofing around? Cute! Also it makes so much sense that Raph would think that having a cool car would be a key element to Batman being cooler than Superman lol. I love the chili pepper gum prank too, it's such a Mikey thing to do and then following it up by saying that he actually just really likes the taste of it as well? Love that!
Oh and it's plot relevant! Awesome, good job guys!
Queeease! Sarcastic little prick I missed him.
Honestly the more I watch of this show the more obvious it is that it's a live action cartoon. I get the feeling that some of the people who hate on this show are somehow not seeing that and expecting something more serious? Is it because it's live action??
Oh that's unsettling... Raph clone... is he a robot?? Like he's got to be a clone, that's what Quease was doing. But. He acts like a robot. And kind of makes robot noises?
Clean your teeth! Learn stuff! Moral messages! This show has value - don't worry parents and teachers of America!
The Green Menace...
"Make it so." Dragon Picard...
"Looks like the toaster escaped" Venus says the cutest things sometimes. šŸ˜Š
"I think it's cute" - she's adorable.
Why with the burp sound effect?
Why is the eyeball making baby noises??
Yessss the sexy intros to the vehicles! Raph and roll! I missed you!
This clone thing has so much potential.
Why do they act like robots though?
"WhadidyaDOTOIM???" Quease's line delivery is just so good sometimes. šŸ˜˜šŸ‘Œ
Do they even know what clones are? I'm so confused... Like... they keep calling the clones "Robo [character name]". ????
Carbonised in liquid nitrogen? Is that a thing?
"You don't do science, you do evil" Aw, Donnie...
"Let's book..." wait. Leo...? Isn't there a bit in 2003 where the others figure out that Leo's been hijacked by Jammerhead because he would never say that? Lol...*
Episode 14
Batman and Robin poster oh noooo. That's two Batman mentions in the space of two episodes, and there was at least one before this...
Oh Wick i missed you. Please make friends with Mikey you're clearly a fan.
The 'we're fantastic never panic' line always gets me like... that's not a great lyric and also false
I love that Raph is getting cute little bonding scenes in these last couple of episodes. Mikey then Venus. Please continue this trend with all of them.
Leo is a such an idiot.
Little green lie...
"I've never told a lie in my life..." bro, come on.
You... eat them? You think listening to the radio is mutiny? So many things wrong with this dragon man.

"Kiss my shell Leo NERDO." "Love to." ??? Guys??? Leo do you know how trash talking works???
"You don't count - you're family" - see??? They said it!!!! Mikey says this to Venus after she says that she and the other turtles and Splinter are Mikey's fans... so what about all that "we're not actually related so it's fine if we hit on the girl turtle" business? Make up your damn minds guys!
Aw Mikey...
How does this lie detector even work bro? You can just use a recording??
Why is Mikey acting like everyone is telling him he's wrong when they're all divided and most of them agree that there's a chance that Wick might be telling the truth?
