#i literally can’t with these two episodes

I don't understand why people hate Stella and Andrealphus acting like 'cartoon villians' when they literally are? Am I missing something.

It’s used as an insult. Episode 12, “Sinmas” demonstrates that. Instead of Andreaplus and Stella being actual threat in the show, they act more like clowns.

When Stella shows off to Andrealphus that Stolas is finally contacting Octavia they both laugh. But it’s not like a quick chuckle then they move their attention to try to manipulate Octavia to isolate her and Stolas even more.

Literally the whole scene is just Andreaplus and Stella repeating the word “hilarious” for 1-2 minutes. The way it’s portrayed and animated is so cartoonishly evil that you can’t take these two seriously.

It’s a myriad of things really… I’m still bummed about bucktommy, and how they screwed up Buck’s bi storyline. I’m just not interested in his story right now, and I have no desire to see him in even more pointless relationships.

There are so many fights that happen! Everywhere! About everything! I’m convinced 75% of this fandom hates the show but, for some reason, doesn’t know how to stop watching. The people I follow are lovely, and I’ve weeded out all the arguers, but you still see it. And it’s impossible to find the perfect way to block it out.

I don’t have any desire for bts stuff. This is already happening, and I have no idea why but it stresses me out! I usually love bts, but this show ruined the excitement of it for me. And now that there’s not one main source for bts, everyone is posting it and it’s impossible to filter. This is in no way shading anyone who posts bts, post whatever the hell you want, these are my issues!

And then there’s people who say they have inside sources, and there’s people getting leaks, but everyone is vague about it and it’s kinda ridiculous. If you’re gonna mention having spoilers, then either discuss them or don’t mention it at all. Sorry, it was so much better during Glee when spoilers were tossed out like candy and you knew everything about an episode two months before it aired 😂

And the whole thing overall bums me out because I found 911 during the worst time of my life and it really saved me, and I joined in the fandom because I wanted to not be lonely, and now I’m getting told that buddies talk shit about me, bucktommies talk shit about me, and I can’t even begin to understand why. I’m a literal no one with no connection to the show, and what I say doesn’t mean a thing. Idk sometimes being a part of something can make you feel even more alone.

Ok so I just finished the pilot here are my thoughts:

The quality is actually horrible but that’s to be expected

The episode starts off with Dally’s death scene from the movie which was kind of a jumpscare

Literally within the first 10 minutes a social worker has come to check in on the Curtis house/threatens to split them up

the greasers in general can’t catch a break this episode

Darry proceeds to get a job, then gets fired in like two seconds like goddamn

Soda mentions wanted to enlist in the army like oh god not vietnam!soda bro

Tim Shepherd = New Dally, but there is this whole scene with him confronting the police about killing dally/police targeting the greasers, which i actually really enjoyed

oh yea Tim Shepherd is part of the gang now

Cherry is played by Kim Walker, who was Heather Chandler in the Heathers movie, which I love

There is new character named Scout (Her real name is Belinda lol) and she is basically this girl pony meets and kind of adopts into the gang, very much his replacement for johnny

The tension between Darry and Tim….

The plot is kind of all over the place yet a repeat of the movie???

yes the acting is cringy at times but you just have to look past it

Overall, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be, but I definitely see where the criticism comes from. Anyways, gonna keep watching

the whole faith thing, 1x12 is literally called ‘faith’ and ‘maybe it’s time to have a little faith.’ ‘you know what i’ve got faith in? reality.’ and at the end of the episode dean says, ‘i’m not much of the praying type, but.. i’m gonna pray for you.’ / ‘you have no faith.’

I feel like people just like the idea of characters being in romantic relationships more than them actually being in a romantic relationship in the canon story.

Sometimes people lose the point of why these two people aren’t in a romantic relationship and what that means for their dynamic in the story.

People just see two characters that are close (or literally just next to each other) and are like ‘they have to be in love’ but that can actually ruin the complexities of their non romantic relationship in the long run if they do end up together.

I’m not saying you can’t ship characters, far from it, I’m just saying maybe you should think about what these two characters mean as friends and if them being in a relationship can devalue what they have in canon.

Making stuff basic Yaoi/Yuri can ruin what complexities these characters have. Stop watering down things!

pertaining to the idea of tenax’s band of strays i do think it’s touching that the kids are the ones who saved him and waited outside the door to make sure he’s okay. for all tenax claims to be harsh and cruel it’s a fine indicator of his character that the kids won’t rest without him and are there every time he’s in danger.
