A character looks straight into the camera and says "I'm not interested in romance" and people will still say "No, it's not confirmed they're aromantic!!!" "They could change their mind!!!" "it's a challenge for them to overcome!!!" "They'll have character development that makes them fall in love"

It's like they are given the most blatant answer to a character romantic orientation and they actively ignore it. all the while all it takes is subtext for people to speak as if it is fact for a character to be any other sexuality.

There's something to be said about Ivan's tenderness toward till.

This is just my interpretation, but doesn't he seem almost reverent in most scenes before r6? The way vivimeng both portray and show us the almost consuming, painful way that Ivan loves till just hits me right in the soul.

All of the contestants don't know anything about loving each other or what that entails in our culture, and yet they love, despite everything. I feel that alien stage is ultimately about love.

Especially after the banquet -- Ivan is so careful. He holds till close, he takes till's collar off, he's gentle. The way his love for till is shown is outside of our usual ways of portraying that feeling in most media. its really no doubt he loves till, and just the way he's happy to even have a glimpse of till's attention, a sliver, because that's more than what he thinks he'd deserve, it's so heart crushingly beautiful.

That intense love, that feeling of being so connected to someone you could never survive without them. It's honestly amazing just how well vivimeng show the audience that.
