i keep wondering about an and akito's relationship pre main story. we know he saw her as a rival, but to her, was he just another customer at the cafe? as one of few musicians her age and one of few aiming to surpass rad weekend, she had to have taken notice of him at least. if she ever heard people talking shit about him, did she tell them to knock it off, or did she think he had it coming? their similarities probably made her a bit territorial, so maybe the rivalry became mutual. did they ever have a singing battle? if so, she probably beat him, but did he win her respect? did they go to the same middle school? get into dumb arguments in class? did they ever even talk or just observe each other from afar? and what about when toya showed up? did she watch akito become a much better singer, more confident and secure? did that inspire her to start searching for a partner of her own?

i think more than half of the problems in project sekai could be fixed if they just had fairy godparents who could grant them anything they wanted.. so many angst arcs gone with a just a wave of a wand - words said from a girl who’s been watching too many episodes of fairly oddparent
