Steve flicked a light switch, and instead of the corner lamp coming on, the room was lit up by Christmas lights. They were strewn up in pretty drapes across the living room, cocooning a nestle of blankets and pillows across the floor in a soft, colorful glow. There was a table of snacks and a cooler and a stack of books and a couple joints and Steve’s laptop, all tucked up close to the little nest of blankets.
