After Jeonghans very much needed cold shower, he got out of the bathroom dressed in a random t-shirt and some cheetah printed shorts. "Please don't tell me you're wearing that for later" you looked up from your phone. "I'm not stupid enough to wear my cheetah printed shorts to the gathering later, I'll change in a while" he said as he threw his towel on his suitcase.

You hummed and continued using your phone, but you were caught off guard when you heard a thud. "Oomph" Jeonghan was face first on the floor, he tried to jump on the bed but he completely missed. "Oh my lord, are you okay?" You got on the floor to check on him. "Yeah I'm fine" he cleared his throat in embarrassment as you helped him off the ground. You made him sit on the edge of the bed as you checked up on him "does it hurt anywhere?" You said, slightly concerned. "Not really, I think I just bumped my forehead" he said sheepishly, he was rubbing his forehead to soothe the pain.

"Why did you even do that?" You raised your eyebrow at him "don't know" "wow-"

After dealing with the Jeonghan falling situation, you guys finally left your room to meet up with others at the beach. He thankfully changed his clothes. He was wearing a plain buttoned up t-shirt and some black slacks, whereas you were wearing a sleeveless summer dress which was slightly short.

"How's your forehead?" You asked as y'all made your way through the hotel lobby. "Oh, it doesn't hurt now. That whole incident stays between us" he warned. "Or what?" You looked at him "I'll steal all your plushies and burn them" "okay wow rude, it's not like I was gonna tell anyone" you rolled your eyes.

Finally you both reached the beach, everyone was already there. "Took y'all long enough" Soonyoung spoke. "We honestly thought you two weren't gonna make it" Joshua chuckled approaching you both. "Well let's just say Mr. Cheetah pants over here had an incident." You side-eyed Jeonghan, Jeonghan rolled his eyes "at least we're here" "someone's salty" "shut up Seungkwan"

You and Jeonghan then parted ways, he was talking to Seungcheol and Wonwoo. "So what actually happened that made you both come late?" Seungcheol asked Jeonghan "I tripped over the bed and fell" he said nonchalantly as he sipped his canned beer. Wonwoo and Seungcheol looked at him, their mouths slightly agape. "Are um you okay..?" Wonwoo asked. "Hm I'm fine, my forehead was slightly red earlier so she was helping me." "Oh she helped?" Seungcheol with a smirk, holding his can of beer. "Nothing like that happened, Cheol. Honestly wished it happened though" both Wonwoo and Seungcheol choked on their drinks.

You on the other side were talking to Mingyu and Joshua. "So how's it going with Jeonghan?" Joshua asked. "You're asking as if I'm dating him' you rolled your eyes, taking a sip of your drink. "Wait y'all are not?" Mingyu asked, slightly surprised. "Yeah..why?" "We saw y'all kiss in the bus though" it was your turn to choke on your drink. "You did?!" You asked while coughing "everyone saw y'all kiss, Hun" you were speechless, you couldn't help but feel flustered. Joshua and Mingyu caught on to your expression "you like him, don't you?" Joshua asked in a teasing tone. "nO i don't, you're delusional" your voice went an octave higher. Mingyu smirked "oh yeah sure sure, you totally don't like him" you smacked his arm.

"Just admit it, you like him right?" Joshua asked you, helping Mingyu rub the place that you hit. You sighed "I mean he's not a bad guy, he's cute and his hair is nice." You rambled on, before looking at Joshua and Mingyu in front of you. You cleared your throat "it doesn't change the fact that he's an asshole" you avoided eye contact with both of them. Joshua and Mingyu smirked at each other "so you like him and he likes you" Joshua spoke. "He likes me?!" Your eyes widened as you covered your mouth. They both nodded "why do you think you both became partners for this trip? It was his idea" Mingyu said. It all makes sense now.

After a while, Seungcheol gathered all of y'all to start the barbeque party. "So who wants to be in charge of grilling the meat?" Seungcheol asked "Jeonghan and I can do it" Seokmin volunteered "I'll help them both also" you volunteered as well, from the side of your eye you noticed Jeonghan raising his eyebrow. "Maybe Seokmin can help Shua with the other food" Mingyu signalled Seokmin something, which he understood "Ohhh sure I'll help him with that." You felt like beating up Mingyu at that point.

Everyone went to do the things they were assigned to do, you helped Jeonghan to bring over the meat while he was setting the grill. You placed the meat down on the table nearby, watching him start the fire. After he started the fire, he started grilling the meat. "Can you just fan the fire so it's stronger?" He asked for your favour, passing you a paper plate. You nodded, fanning the fire with all your might. "Okay when I meant stronger I didn't mean start a whole forest fire-"

The whole meat grilling session was quiet, only the sounds of the fire cracking. "Get the plate" he ordered you, you hummed as you passed him the plate. "You know" you started off, causing him to raise his eyebrow at you while he was still grilling the meat. "I know it was your idea for us to partner up together" his eyes slightly widened "w-what do you mean?" "Joshua and Mingyu told me" Jeonghan was cursing them both in his head.

There was no point in denying it, he let out a sigh "yeah.. it was my idea" he didn't look at you, he just continued grilling the meat. "Why did you suggest it?" You knew the reason but you wanted to hear him say it. "You really want to know?" He asked while placing the cooked meat on the plate. "Yes, tell me" you folded your hands over your chest "are you sure?" He asked while closing the grill "yes, Jeonghan just tell me" you sighed. "Are you really really sure-" "I'm gonna make you burn your hand in that grill". He chuckled "it's because I like you, and I don't think you feel the same. So I asked Seungcheols help to make us partners" he explained "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable by doing something you didn't like" he kept apologizing.

"Stop apologizing" "no, I have to apologiz-" you cut him off by kissing him. His breath hitched and his eyes widened, before he could do anything, you pulled away. He was flustered, he cleared his throat. "SEOKMIN AH, MINGYU YA can y'all grill the remaining meat, me and y/n have something to discuss with each other." He dragged you away to bathroom near the beach, not waiting for a reply from them. Oh they knew what was gonna happen.

He didn't spare a second and started kissing you once you both were in the bathroom. Your hands gripping his hair, his arms instinctively wrapping around your waist, pulling you closer to him. His lips moving against yours in a gentle yet passionate manner. Jeonghan's hands traced a soft path up and down the small of your back, and he pulled you even closer, eliminating any space between you. As the kiss continued, Jeonghan deepened it, his tongue slipping past your lips to gently explore your mouth. He let out a soft moan, the sound sending shivers down your spine as his fingers tangled in your hair.

Jeonghan pulled away slightly, his forehead resting against yours, his breath warm against your skin.

"You're driving me crazy, you know that?" he panted. "I think I know that" you smiled innocently at him. "We should go or else they'll suspect something, knowing how they are" you said, still clinging onto him. He whined "do we really have to?". You chuckled "yes we have to." You leaned close to his ear "maybe we can continue this in our hotel room later" you smirked, walking out of the restroom. "Daring, I like it" Jeonghan followed you behind, his arm around your waist.

I hate to nitpick the Atsushi hallucinating scene in the new episode cause it was SO well done otherwise, but I'm still really sad that they cut out Francis being there. Like... it's not entirely necessary, I guess, but it just adds so much to his character and to the scene itself?

The Francis in Atsushi's mind is this looming, intimidating presence, because Atsushi did of course fight against him, he was his enemy at one point, but I think it undeniably says a lot that he's even included here at all.

I'm pretty sure I saw this discussed back when this chapter first came out, but while everything Atsushi's hallucinations say to him are framed as negative, putting him down, they can also be read as letting him know that the burden of responsibility for making such a huge decision isn't on him (hence why he decides to let Fukuzawa decide instead, because he can't make THE choice, but he can still choose to act to let someone else decide, and not simply do nothing), and Francis is no exception in this regard. Since he's naturally haughty and arrogant in his personality, this fake version of him doesn't at all feel out of character, coldly saying that "nobody expects anything of you", but again, I think this line especially can also be read as "you are not expected to do anything". In that way, it feels more reassuring, and maybe even dare I say kind -- the fact that Atsushi even considers him important enough of a figure in his life to think of what he would say to him in this moment means that he counts Francis among his allies now. Yes, they didn't get along at first when Francis lied and told him that he only wanted to revive Margaret just so she could kill Hawthorne (because god forbid he actually admit out loud that he cares about people, smh), and obviously because of the whole almost burning Yokohama down and trying to kill him and Akutagawa thing lol, but I'm pretty sure Atsushi changed his mind about him after he saw the state Margaret was in, and recognized how much Francis cares about her and wanted her to be alright. He probably still remembers him talking about his desire to bring back his daughter and save her and his wife, too. The guy still probably isn't someone Atsushi would want to hang out with and be buddy-buddy with during his free time lmao, but the airheaded vain old sport still has a good heart, deep down, and I think Atsushi has seen this by now, because he's a kind person, and so I think it speaks volumes that he unconsciously looks to him for advice here. Francis is just a really good and underrated character, and this is such a small but meaningful moment that shows his development so well, the only moment with him we've gotten or any of the Guild really in such a long time, so it makes me sad to see this cut 💔

I also just feel like not including him kind of weakens the impact of Akutagawa's appearance here?? Like, there's a progression of the order of people Atsushi hears/sees in this scenes: first, people from the ADA sans Dazai, who are all portrayed as on the same level, because he cares about them all equally, aside from I guess Kyouka (again, sans Dazai, the most important person to him). Then, there is Francis, and not to say that Francis is more important to Atsushi than the ADA, obviously not, but he's one of the last to appear because he used to be his enemy, and so he commands much more of a presence, has more of an impact -- but at the same time, like I said, it's complicated: he's not really his enemy anymore, but something between a rival and a friend, and so for that reason his words carry more weight. He is someone Atsushi, logically, shouldn't trust, after what he did to him in the past, and yet he does, because things have changed since the Guild arc, and he knows he can count on him to be there for him and the ADA now.

And then, after him, there is Akutagawa. Who is basically exactly the same as everything I just described for Francis, but times one hundred. Of course Akutagawa would be last. Of course, if there's someone Atsushi would simultaneously and paradoxically be both intimidated by and yet comforted to hear their advice because of their tumultuous history together, far more than Francis, it would be Akutagawa. The progression of ADA members > Francis > Akutagawa in that order gives Akutagawa's appearance much more weight imo than just going straight to him from the ADA members, especially with the specific framing of him standing in line behind Francis to judge/advise Atsushi.... it's just much more powerful, and I wish they'd kept it like this, for both Francis and Aku's characters.

it's been a month since we moved into the new apartment -

I'm so stressed. everything is stressful. we're still not done building the kitchen but it's getting there (slowly). mostly we just need to wait until we get a couple parts that weren't in stock when we ordered the rest. I'm hoping it'll be done by next weekend.

some of it is very frustrating with my brain specifically. I'm so bothered by all the tiny little things that no one else would even notice - like, some of the handles on the drawers are very slightly crooked (as in, less than a millimeter higher on one side) - but for me it's so obvious that it's impossible to ignore. my husband didn't even know what I meant when I pointed it out to him. there's also been a few slightly bigger issues, but we've solved them now (I think).

my eye has been twitching for like three to four weeks. not all the time obviously, but every few minutes. it's very, very annoying.

we still have no new info about when we'll have internet finally. it could take a while still.

on Monday a guy has to replace something in the electric roller shutters in one room - but we don't know which one yet. so either I'll have to let him into my room (awful, uncomfortable, will have to tidy up tomorrow so he could even get to the window), or I'll have to get both our cats into their carrier if it's the one in my husband's room (awful, difficult, one of them doesn't like that so he'll be scared and I'll feel bad).

also on Monday the electrician will install our stove (if he has time). then we're getting two ikea deliveries. and I've got an appointment with my (new) GP because I need a prescription, and I'm very (verrry) nervous about it.

I miss watching TV. I miss tumblr and YouTube and messaging my friends whenever I want and sending them photos all the time. I miss order and structure and (some level of) routine. I miss using real cutlery (we still haven't found ours lol).

when I was finally starting to get used to the noises in this place, the family above us moved in with their baby that cries all the time very very loudly and most of the time right above my room. so now everything is different again and I'm not adjusting well and once again I can't sleep.

but, I've listened to 14 audiobooks since we moved! that's been nice. it was the same way when we moved the last time (just over a year ago..). my favourite by far was The Thursday Murder Club. I've got the other ones in the series but I'm trying not to listen to them too quickly, so I'm gonna listen to three other books first (one is done already, so I should get there on Monday or Tuesday hopefully).

the crazy thing abt will and mike is that we mostly learn will is gay because other people tell us he is, but we learn that mike is gay (despite him telling us he's not, begging us to pls see tht he's not gay) because literally everything that he does is so fucking gay. because in him trying to not be gay he is just being so unbelievably extra fucking gay without realizing. like. el is literally his red herring idc i'll say it stone me if u must but the truth must be said !!!!

i do honestly think that like. the reason steve's torture scene is so undercut is because it is a torture scene. like they didn't WANT it to be hit heavily they didn't want to have to cut between relatively normal for the show scenarios back to steve and robin locked in an unreachable facility getting beaten and drugged and about to get their fingernails ripped off with the knowledge that in the end unless they're saved they're going to die. Because that is deeply tragic. so they have to make the jokes and make it lighter than it seems not only because the plot needs it but like the AUDIENCE needs it and the CHARACTERS need it... like yes the show does not take so many character's real life suffering seriously because for some reason lasting effects and trauma only exist to be taken advantage of by the plot or if you're the billed star or something but steve also in canon is the one who didn't let himself BE A Guy Who Was Just Tortured. he was a guy who was just beat up a little. and like they're scared but they're not too scared because they have to have hope because they are two people who have never had to rely on hope before in order to survive...

but also!! tbh i can't. help but think how much of a critical hit gut wrench it would've been if they had decided to commit to the darker theme of it and how it juxtaposes against the whole Bright Neon Light Palm Fronds And 80s Pop and how 30 minutes later they're standing among a group of children and no one even realises anything is out of the ordinary i think it would've accessed an actual emotional impact and depth the duffers seem to stumble upon by accident and never of their own volition </3 to cut from the concurrently running scenes to an 18 year old boy we know is completely innocent and completely telling the truth that he was just in the wrong place and didn't realise how serious it all was who was getting tortured and it be something serious. and his 17 year old coworker who just had to listen to it all to the point where she thought they dragged his dead body in to lay next to her. and in a way it's somehow MORE tragic which was not their intention at all that it was so lightly handled even though we the audience know it's somethings deeply upsetting it all just gets washed away in the face of Life goes on even on tv... sigh.

i just know for a a fact that if zoro was on the sanji rescue mission to whole cake island they wouldn’t have had kitchen disasters like they did. first of all, it’s because zoro’s no chef but he knows enough cooking to keep him and his crewmates alive (later evidence found in wano when he’s grilling meat before he meets luffy) and he knows better than to trust luffy in the kitchen for even a second so they wouldn’t have run out of food. but secondly and more importantly, no matter how good he thinks sanji’s cooking is he’s going to be damned if he lets anyone complain about how much they miss sanji’s cooking while he’s there. if by chance his first meal turned out awful, he would 1000% lock himself up in the kitchen and follow sanji’s recipes to the t and taunt him about ‘how it isn’t even that hard you shitty cook’ once they get back. he’ll be damned before he admits to sanji being better than him at something, in fact i’m willing to bet that whatever little cooking he knows he learned it himself to prove a point (to sanji)
