me: oh i'll buy my brother in law some fancy coffee because he is a coffee snob! i did that last year and it was a hit so might as well do it again. i am not really a coffee person, so i'd better check on what to buy him. now, dear google, what are the best coffee beans i can buy online?

me, two weeks later, well into the rabbit hole with at least twenty tabs open: hm, i'm not sure about this washed ethiopian single-origin with notes of cherry, roses, and pomegranate. maybe the other anaerobic processed ethiopian beans would be better even though they can come out a lot funkier due to the experimental processing. oh, but this particular roaster has been degrading in quality over the past few months, so maybe it'd be better to go somewhere else.

me, a week later: wow i've bought myself a pour over drip brewer and some fancy coffee and i now have Strong Opinions about the best independent coffee roasters in the U.S. oh and i finally bought the two bags of coffee i originally planned to get that started all of this nonsense in the first place.

People would call you communist for this (lol) but the solution for the housing crisis we have all over is to set a minimum and maximum price per square meter that you can rent/sell a place for and that maximum price per meter should be adjusted so that it never exceeds a specific reasonable percentage of local salaries. Also, governments should be tougher on places not being fit to rent. No, you shouldn't be able to rent anything less than 45m² as 'a flat', that's either a room or a storage unit.

fall guy brain rot time !!!!!!! i was wondering why i enjoyed this more than free guy despite me thinking objectively free guy's plot has less holes in it so i do consider the plot objectively better, but then i realized like fall guy just feels so much more sincere to me. every aspect of it is coated in this love for film and tv making and the medium as a whole

my new trench vase!! it's a tree trunk made from a german shell dated february 1916! specifically it was a 77 x 234 mm r manufactured by GeschossFabrik Spandau and fired by a 7.7 cm FK 96 n.A. likely on the western front. it was certainly a post war civilian creation judging by the crest that was left blank for tourists to inscribe their own initials on, but it was a steal and SO cool that i had to buy it :^)

#purrs #i went to a clothing store today to try to get new work shoes and pants bc the one pair i have of each literally have holes in them and are #falling the fuck apart on my body and it was a HORRIBLE experience largely bc i think everybody in town was out shopping for back to school #so it was super crowded and there were lots of screaming kids and it was extremely stressful + my dad got into a mini car accident while i w #was in the store (he was / is completely fine thankfully but the car is not which is so awesome 😍😍😍😍😍) and i was just so stressed and #overstimulated but also like… nothing fits me bc im so short lol. but anyway it was so horrible i was on the verge of starting to cry in the #store and then i came home empty handed and my mom got super pissed at me for… needing to go to the store / being the reason we were out lol #and then finding miah pie and her videos are all about making trips to the store SO much fun and buying little treats and saying yessir and #OHHHHHH MYYYYY and just finding the joy in smth that can be so stressful and unpleasant… it makes me want to cry happy and sad tears at the #same time like i want that soooo bad and i can’t do it fully yet but i want it. need it. fuck my stupid baka life #anyways im gonna start saying the stuff she says just to make myself feel better even when im not at a store. yessir! #u have no CLUE how big of a deal christmas is in my family.#xmas shopping starts in like. september. and all year my parents are like Christmas Is Coming! every time i ask them to buy me smth #we basically spend all of november hyping ourselves up and sometimes my mom brings the decorations inside in the #middle of the month #and we'll take an entire day to just decorate the house and play christmas music #every night in december my mom reads a different xmas story to my siblings and i. yeah its childish but its a tradition #[ which i started btw ]#putting the tree up is an all-day thing. mostly bc we cut our own trees so we have to go to the back forest and pick one which takes #a while lol #and all of this leads up to The Big Night. ie christmas eve #in which my mom tends to spend all day baking cookies [ which she does like every day for the whole month. i forgot to mention ]#and my siblings and i either do fuckall or get some last-minute xmas day prep done. ie wrapping the last of the gifts or smth #and then in the evening my mom puts out some appetizers [ ie little slices of salami. sliced vegetables. stuff like that ]#usually we also watch a movie around this time. last year it was national lampoons christmas vacation [ which is a great film btw ]#and then we all sit on my parents' bed and my mom reads ' the night before christmas ' to us. as is tradition #we always put out cookies and milk for santa like most ppl. but also carrots for the reindeer and candy canes for mrs claus :]#theres a bunch more stuff but i dont wanna talk TOO much lol. feel free to ask tho !!#asks #friend tag :]

BUT i know he would NEVER strip matthew of his #autonomy like that and NEVER for so long. like i didn't write declan lynch as a character but also i know he wouldn't do that. that's his #baby brother........and i know he feels like matthew robbed him of his youth and his life and whoever he would've grown up to be but HE JUST #WOULD NEVER....i know this....like sorry but that is the most awful fucked up shit to do ever in the entire world. someone depends on you #and looks up to you and trusts you and you take away the thing that keeps them awake??? i'd even say the thing that essentially keeps them #ALIVE bc without a sweetmetal dreams aren't really alive they're just sleeping for eternity which is a kind of death. LIKE......#that just baffles me so much u just have to be soooooo uncaring to do that....like if he just did it in the moment of anger - snatched that #pendant off matthew's neck so he fell asleep and declan wouldn't have to deal with him anymore and then immediately afterwards was like.#what have i done this is so fucked up to do to someone. and put the pendant back on matthew. and apologized prefusely for it. that would #have still not been fine but in bouts of anger ppl do stupid desperate things that negatively affect others and it would've been #considerably less fucked up than it is now. like declan kept that pendant away for UP TO TWO DAYS. he drove the whole way back put ronan #somewhere safe carried matthew out of the car and into the house carried him upstairs into the bedroom and put him in bed went back #downstairs went outside locked the car went back into the house ate showered slept woke up ate breakfast again go through the whole day and #NOT ONCE did he think to himself oh this thing i'm doing is genuinely horrible i can't just take away someone's like. awareness. like that #& went to go 'wake' matthew????? NOT ONCE????? ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS???? NOT ONCE IN THOSE ONE AND A HALF OR TWO OR POSSIBLY MORE DAYS???#also just the whole. turning into his father thing.
