im sooo normal about this game

haven't posted anything recently cause i've been exclusively using my free time to play tew1 for like a month now. this is a cry for help i just CANT STOP. i love it so much. gnawing at the bars of my enclosure rn ngl i hate that first drawing cause it did NOT turn out how i wanted and i abandoned it like 39894 times but oh well + some kinda old joseph stuff i never properly posted. can u guess who my fav character is😁😁 anyways. this one goes out to the other like 5 people who still care about this game in the year 2024 lmao

   Going foreign wasn’t an experience most in the task force possessed much less in the forensics department – but it had been a request that had intrigued Ann enough for her agreement. After all, being present at the scene or in the same city would be far easier than trying to work on a case from across the world. Which is how Ann found herself in Krimson City and seeking out the former detective.    “  Mr. Castellanos? “  English is strange on her tongue, but her tone is polite and professional.  “ I’m Rizuna Ann, a forensic scientist with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. I was advised to reach out to you from the local police force here. We’ve recently received an anonymous tip about a series of cold cases we had and it’s led back here. But��”  Her lips press together for a moment, serious. “ Forgive me, but it seems someone’s tampered with documents. You were listed as a former detective on the case. I was hoping I might be able to speak with you, if you are willing. “ ( and I also offer this to you for any time you’d like! )

Sebastian's used to all sorts knocking on the door to his private practise: wives worried about cheating husbands, shady people seeking help to find debts owed, parents looking for missing children (that one stings the most). What he isn't used to is forensic scientist types, let alone forensic scientist types from Japan.

He connects the dots almost immediately, and his stomach drops at the conclusion that hovers in the back of his mind. If these "cold cases" in Tokyo are anything like what's been happening in Krimson City for years now, then the only news he has for her is bad.

Still, ever the believer of equal opportunity (and ultimately too helpful for his own fucking good-- the only thing that survived his rookie days), Sebastian gestures for Ann to take a seat across his desk.

"I'm willing." He forgoes the introductions, considering. Sebastian shuts the folder he'd been looking at, then presses his open laptop closed. "But I'll tell you now-- if you need anything from the KCPD, I burnt all my bridges there when I was dismissed.

"And if you plan on working with them later, they probably won't be happy if they find out you talked to me."

He sighs, looking at the stack of manila folders he'd left at his desk before napping. "No."

Sebastian's doing his best not to feel particularly self-conscious about Spencer's humongous pile of read folders. He has to remind himself the man's got the brain of a machine as far as reading goes-- that's a huge reason he's allowing him to help with his investigation to begin with.

The issue about trying to make connections is having to track all the related cases down, and nobody reads through old case files quicker than Spencer Reid. Typically one crazed testimony about the cult that lived in the outskirts of the city wouldn't warrant such passionate research, but God-- Sebastian's grasping so desperately at anything that even remotely resembles Mobius he can't just let it go.

Spencer, for whatever reason, doesn't think he's crazy trying to seek Mobius out. Considering that makes him the only one in the entire KCPD, Sebastian would be a fool to deny his help (never mind the potential ramifications of having the guy writing his psych profile spending this much time with him-- honestly, at least he knows Spencer would base it on fact instead of feeling, as he has for decades now).

"...fuck." He rubs the heels of his palms against his eyes, rising from his couch to sit instead of lay on it. "I didn't mean to sleep all night, though. You were supposed to wake me up after an hour."

(But if Spencer thought it best for Sebastian's deteriorating health to get a good night's sleep, he'd most certainly be in the right.)

Despite the bags under Spencer's eyes, there was a certain fix of energy coursing through his veins. The insane amount of coffee he had consumed was most concerning yet, here he was, looking more alive than he has in weeks. The cases piled up and eased the doctor's mind like no other.

"Hm?" He said, his head turning to meet Sebastian's gaze. "Oh. Yeah."

Spencer turned his gaze back to the manila folder in his hand as he read through the ivory pages. It was no doubt his brain was on overdrive at this point. He was almost finished reading through everything, he will sleep when he is finished.

"I actually have two more files to go through." He closed the manila folder, placing it upon the desk before grabbing another one. "One more, now." His tight lipped smile and his bright yet tired gaze met Sebastian's once more.

"Have you found anything?"
