Diet

Eating lots of omega fatty acids can help with brain function and concentration. You can get these in a supplement form or from foods like salmon, tuna, walnuts, chia seeds and flax seeds.

Foods high in vitamin k like dark leafy greens such as spinach, kale, broccoli and collard has been shown to slow cognitive decline

The pigments in berries can help improve memory

Hydration is super importation for function and to prevent headaches

Concentration

Use meditation apps to improve focus and mood- Calm, Insight timer and Medito

Improve sleep quality

Avoid multitasking

Take regular breaks

Physical activity will release endorphins and create a positive mindset

Train your brain

Play games like sudoku, crosswords, puzzles and chess to improve memory and concentration

Complete creative tasks like colouring, painting and building. This could be creating decorations or completing a colouring book as relaxation

Spend time in nature

Career progress update!!

I’ve decided that I will be going to school to become a paralegal! I start in October during the 2nd half of the semester. I am getting a transfer associates degree incase I decide to finish and get my bachelors later and then proceed to law school. I live in California and we have free community college for California residents. You just need a high school diploma or equivalent.

I am doing part-time online for now. After this semester is complete I will do more classes plus summer classes. I will have to stay in California for at least 2 more years.

I am excited for this path! I’ve made up my mind and I am ready.

Do you take notes while reading? Do you like annotating?

For me it depends on my mood. I find myself annotating romance books more than any other genre. It’s all about the vibes and I don’t put a lot of pressure on myself. Annotating for fun is supposed to be fun.

Onyx Storm is the first big fantasy I have annotated. It was a little intimidating at first, but it was really entertaining actually! I used more tabs than I EVER have. Since it has been a few weeks since I finished reading, it was really convenient to be able to look back on my thoughts and annotations while writing my review.

Gua sha and jade roller daily

Create a skincare routine a stick to it

Moisturise twice daily
