Nolofinwëan caffeine habits
Fingolfin: freshly ground quality beans in an ornate french press every morning with homemade cashew milk, no sugar. Only buys coffee out when someone else invites him, then usually orders a cappuccino because it’s what Finwë drank. Pays for the other person, tips well.
Fingon: six cans of cola every day. Laughs every time Maedhros tries to suggest this is a bad habit. When he goes out for coffee, he orders fresh-squeezed orange juice or something that no one even realised was on the menu. Always orders a couple snacks and insists on sharing. Tips a normal amount but brings the staff random gifts like boxes of chocolate.
Turgon: Four shots of espresso from the same place every morning at 7:10am. The staff have it waiting for him, he breezes in, says “good morning”, pays and tips, leaves. If he’s had a really long night he’ll add sugar, otherwise none. Often buys a few treats to go (they’re for Elenwë, Aredhel, and/or Idril; after Eärendil is born he buys a cake pop every single day).
Aredhel: depends on the day, but enjoys treating herself to a large mocha with whipped cream. Seems to “deserve a treat” most days. Continuously drinks yerba mate on journeys (from a thermos in cold climates, iced when not).
Argon: Monster energy drinks.
Idril: Oat milk latte (thanks @swanmaids). No dietary reason, just likes the flavour. Rarely gets it to stay, but takes about 15-20 minutes to leave because she’s making the rounds catching up with staff and customers. Keeps saying, “I better get going!” and doesn’t. Enjoys a cup of tea with milk and the pastry Turgon brought her in the afternoons.
Maeglin: says he doesn’t consume caffeine but eats chocolate covered coffee beans like popcorn when he’s trying to get a project done. When forced to go out he orders mint tea and lets it go cold. Pays for the other person but does not tip.
Eärendil: at sea he drinks super sweet instant coffee that is somehow foamy despite being from a packet. When in Sirion, orders authentic chai from a stand in the town square mostly because Elwing likes it and the guy who makes it laughs at his jokes. When shipbuilding, drinks from the barely-functional coffee maker Círdan has had since the Great Journey.

I wish i could've camped for a couple days longer. We brought such good food and had everything we needed, if we'd only been able to afford to book the camp site for two more nights. (My friends bought the first nights for us all, but I didn't have the $70 + fees for more reservations.)
I made a shitload of food from scratch including tomato sauce, refried beans, sloppy joe lentils, a loaf of white sandwich bread, a loaf of seasoned Italian bread. Bfr made us corn and potato chowder and big oatmeal raisin cookies, both of which were phenomenal, as well as a batch of homemade cashew milk to bring along. On site we cooked scrambled eggs and leftover baked beans and corn grits, toasted pitas and tortillas, we shredded a big block of mild cheese and chopped the last of our cherry tomatoes from home to make burritos. I used my ancient aeropress to make us hot coffee each morning from a jar of fresh grounds from home. Everything we brought was so goddamn good, and everything we made on site was surprisingly good, except the grits which were undercooked.
We lounged around in hammocks and I read my trashy true crime paperback from the 90s, and the Junji Ito cat diary manga I got from an inter-library loan. None of us got drunk or trashed or felt like we needed to be on psychedelics in order to appreciate being outdoors. My friend asked me to be the best man in his November wedding and I was super surprised and said yes of course. I felt cherished by my friends and adored by my partner. Things were just so quiet and easy and pressure-free. Bfr and I had plenty of camping gear between us and didn't need to buy anything new. We were able to make most of what we brought to eat from what we already had on hand, and spent under $50 for the 3-day trip in terms of gasoline, firewood, and specially-bought food/entertainment/supplies.
It takes SO much planning to do things on an extreme budget, but it's also much easier to share the planning load between two people. I've been alone for long enough that I'd forgotten how much easier it is to set up a tent with help, how much easier it is to maintain a clean campsite, and break it down at the end without stress.
I'm trying to appreciate everything now that I think might be impossible later (due to climate change, my employment situation, my age and physical health etc). Idk what else my overall takeaway is--or if I even need to have a conclusion from this experience. It's all a part of the balance that is currently working for me and keeping me well, I guess.

INGREDIENTS
Chicken Tikka Masala:
500g chicken breast, diced
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 tbsp Tikka Masala spice mix
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup coconut milk/cream
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
1 cup cashew nuts
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro, for garnish\
For the Yellow Rice:
2 cups basmati rice
1 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp butter/oil
4 cups water
Salt to taste
For the Homemade Cheese Naan:
2 cups plain yogurt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
Butter and cilantro for brushing
LET’S START COOKING
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with Greek yogurt and Tikka Masala spice mix. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
Cook the Chicken Tikka Masala:
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Stir in the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
Set cooked chicken aside
Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, cashew nuts, turmeric, and garam masala into the same pan you’ve cooked the chicken and stir well.
Pour in the coconut milk/cream, reduce heat, and let simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Blend everything in a blender for a smooth texture.
Add the chicken back to the sauce
Garnish with cream and fresh cilantro before serving.
Prepare the Yellow Rice:
Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a medium saucepan, heat butter or oil over medium heat. Add turmeric and stir until fragrant.
Add the rice and water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and fluffy. Season with salt.
Make the Cheese Naan:
In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, flour, baking powder, and salt. Knead until a soft dough forms.
Divide the dough into small balls, roll each ball flat, and place some grated cheese in the center. Fold the dough over the cheese and roll it out again to seal the cheese inside.
Cook the naan on a hot skillet brushed with melted butter for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and bubbly.
Serve the Chicken Tikka Masala over the yellow rice or separate (whichever way you prefer) , accompanied by the cheese naan. Enjoy your flavorful and homemade meal!

Life Updates and Such...
Soooo.... many things! At the moment, I've finally pulled myself somewhat out of the doldrums caused by lack-of-job + job-search-sucks and am making all the preparations for celebrating the end of this year and the start of a new one.
I think I've binged something like 30+ anime series in the last month or so, along with reading many many books.
Today, I've finally got some bots working in the Creator's Cave discord, to make things a bit easier there. There are more updates I still need to do, but it's a start.
My hope for this week, is that in addition to my preparations for New Year's, I'll be able to actually finish my project of turning some of my flower photos into TS3 art. No promises, but I'm hopeful.
Below the cut, for the curious or nosy, the menu and preparations for New Year's.
Before anyone starts to wonder... two of the friends coming to my place for New Year's are really really into Pumpkin, so this is reflected here. Yes, this is probably too much food and drink for... 6 people, but hey... leftovers.

Trying not to feel like a failure since I went over 1k 😅 logically I know that I had healthy, homemade meals, and I’m still in a calorie deficit, so there should be no issue.. but I would have felt better if I had at least burned more calories. I’ll just count it as a meta day 😃
I felt out of control when I had my late night snack, so next time I will plan how much I want to eat and add the calories to my tracker before I eat anything. I hate feeling like food controls me, but it is not true; I am the only one who can control what goes into my body.

what do u think remus and sirius’ favorite cereals are and what kind of milk or milk alternative are they eating it with
love u x
remus grew up with homemade variations on kashi and granola because his parents were dirty hippies and he still pretends like those are his favorites but greens, my friend, the truth will out. he loves sugary processed cereals, he loves them so, so much. cinnamon toast crunch is best ofc. but also he is jewish so no dairy for him, it hurts his stomach. he likes his mum’s homemade cashew milk best because he is still sometimes a dirty hippy.
as for sirius… that boy will eat anything. food is but a vessel for peri peri sauce. most of his friends have seen him eat something off the ground at least once. so cereal and their corresponding milks are no exception to that, and he doesn’t really have a preference, but you know what he actually will go super hard in defense of raisin bran surprisingly.

Easy Caramel Peanut Clusters Recipe
If you’re looking for a quick, indulgent treat that combines rich caramel with the crunch of peanuts and the smoothness of chocolate, Caramel Peanut Clusters are the perfect solution. These bite-sized delights are made with just a few simple ingredients but pack a big punch in flavor. They offer the ideal balance of sweet, salty, and crunchy textures, making them a favorite for anyone who loves decadent desserts.
Whether you’re making them as a treat for yourself, a holiday gift, or a dessert for a gathering, these clusters are easy to make and guaranteed to satisfy.
Why You’ll Love This Caramel Peanut Clusters Recipe
Caramel Peanut Clusters are a classic candy treat that combines everything we love about indulgent snacks—rich, gooey caramel, roasted peanuts, and creamy chocolate. Not only are they delicious, but they’re also incredibly simple to prepare. With just a few steps and minimal ingredients, you’ll have a batch of these tasty clusters ready in no time.
Plus, they’re versatile! You can make a big batch and store them for later, give them as homemade gifts, or enjoy them as a quick snack when your sweet tooth strikes.
Ingredients for Caramel Peanut Clusters
Here’s what you’ll need to make a batch of these irresistible clusters:
2 cups roasted, salted peanuts
1 package (11 oz) caramels (unwrapped)
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
Step-by-Step Recipe for Caramel Peanut Clusters
Step 1: Melt the Caramels
In a medium saucepan, combine the unwrapped caramels and heavy cream. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the caramels are completely melted and smooth. Be sure to stir constantly to prevent the caramel from burning.
Step 2: Add the Peanuts
Once the caramel mixture is smooth and melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the roasted, salted peanuts. Mix until all the peanuts are evenly coated with the caramel.
Step 3: Form the Clusters
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the peanut-caramel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small clusters. You should be able to make about 15-20 clusters, depending on the size.
Allow the clusters to cool at room temperature until the caramel sets. You can also speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
Step 4: Melt the Chocolate
While the clusters are cooling, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can do this using a double boiler or the microwave. If using the microwave, heat the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. If desired, stir in the coconut oil for a shinier, smoother chocolate coating.
Step 5: Coat the Clusters
Once the caramel peanut clusters have cooled and set, dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring that they are fully coated. You can use a fork or spoon to help coat each cluster and transfer them back to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 6: Let the Chocolate Set
After coating the clusters in chocolate, allow them to cool and harden. You can leave them at room temperature or speed up the process by placing them in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
Tips for Making the Best Caramel Peanut Clusters
Use high-quality chocolate: For the best flavor, choose a good-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate. You can also use milk chocolate if you prefer a sweeter taste.
Be patient with the caramel: Melt the caramels slowly over low heat to avoid burning or seizing. If your caramel starts to harden while forming clusters, just gently reheat it over low heat.
Customize with different nuts: While peanuts are traditional, you can switch things up by using other nuts like almonds, pecans, or cashews.
Add a sprinkle of sea salt: For an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the chocolate before it sets. This enhances the sweet and salty contrast.
Store properly:ᅠStore your caramel peanut clusters in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge. They will keep for up to a week, making them a great make-ahead treat.
Why This Recipe Works
This recipe works because it combines classic ingredients that complement each other perfectly—salty roasted peanuts, rich caramel, and smooth chocolate. The texture of the crunchy peanuts, the chewiness of the caramel, and the creamy chocolate coating make every bite a delightful experience. Plus, the simplicity of this recipe means you can make a large batch without a lot of fuss, making it ideal for entertaining or gifting.
Serving Suggestions for Caramel Peanut Clusters
For parties: Serve these clusters as part of a dessert tray or candy buffet. They’re easy to grab and enjoy, making them perfect for gatherings.
As a gift: Wrap the clusters in a festive box or bag for a homemade gift that’s sure to impress friends and family.
As a snack: Keep a batch of these clusters on hand for a quick and satisfying snack when you’re craving something sweet and salty.
Conclusion
Caramel Peanut Clusters are a simple yet decadent treat that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. With just a handful of ingredients and easy steps, you can create a dessert that’s both indulgent and impressive. Whether you’re making them for a party, as a gift, or just for yourself, these clusters are a guaranteed hit.

OKAY SO! I've put alot of work into this and I absolutely adore this question
Breakfast: eggs, 144 cals for two, oatmeal, 120 per packet, plain organic sugar-free cereal (140 per cup) with 30 cal almond milk, rice cakes, 50 cals for two (rice cakes 😩) and fruit, apples, oranges, strawberries, raspberries etc.
Lunch: carrots for 3 cals, same with grapes, almonds are 7 and cashews are 12 or so, i FUCKING LOVE SKINNY POP(CORN)!! Only 100 cals for a tasty treat? Yes. Immediately yes. Seaweed is also good at 25 cals. If I'm home, then I'll just skip it (sometimes I do that at school too), or I'll just have brunch and you get the idea blah blah blah.
Dinner: absolute nightmare. God bless my mom and her amazing cooking skills BUT WHYYughh. I try to proportion everything within a cup or less just for peace of mind, sometimes ill also do OMAD to make up for it. I also walk ALOT just to try and combat it
Dessert! For all my sweet toothed babies out there: Malona bars are around 100-120 depending on flavor, ice cream is good too (one cup = 120 cals) and if you over eat you can always pruge. I find trail mix (homemade) to be a God given blessing, it's wonderful, sweet and heathy??? (Dark chocolate chips go crazy at 60 cals per cup.)
Bit of a long post, but I figured it'd be best to be exact in case anyone wants to take inspo for snacks n etc.
