Sam hears him, late at night, pen scratching away at paper. Making notes, reading the Tablet, hoping to glean any information he can from it about the Trials. The Trials that are killing him slowly.

He wonders if Kevin knows what's happening. He hopes he doesn't.

The scratching has stopped. Sam makes his way quietly into the library, trying not to disturb anyone. Dean hasn't been sleeping well, guilt a burden on his shoulders. Sam knows well enough what it feels like.

The lights are off in the library. Maybe Kevin has finally gone to bed. But then he spots it - a soft light in the corner. He frowns, and makes his way over. He eyes the mugs piling up around the table, all in various states of fullness. Sam makes a note to clean them, and maybe get Kevin a new mug. It might cheer him up a little bit.

The only source of light is Kevin's laptop, and it illuminates his face in a soft blue glow. He can make out the bags under his eyes, the dark circles that betray how much he doesn't sleep. He has too much pressure on him, and he's just a kid. He's someones son. He has lost so much already, and he will probably lose more. Sam knows this life well.

Kevin is snoring lightly, his head on the desk. His rest is peaceful for now. Sam debates on whether to wake him, to bring him to his own bed. He knows, though, that as soon as he does Kevin will tell him he's fine, and go back to the Tablet.

He sighs softly, and finds the blanket he hid in the library for precisely this moment. It's red, and thick, and will keep Kevin warm while he sleeps. He drags it carefully over his shoulders, wrapping him up as best he can without waking him.

He grabs the mugs, and makes his way into the kitchen. Sam can't sleep with the blood in his lungs anyway. Might as well be productive.

I need them to do a reboot of House but I want them to just go fucking wild with it. Everyone's gay, everyone's fucking. House, Wilson, and Cuddy are in a toxic polycule, one that definitely violates work ethics, that ends when Cuddy cheats on them with Cameron. I want it to be just as homophobic, just as ableist, just as fucked up, as the original and yet have the characters all be so fucking woke. Same episodes with the same plots but modern. I want Chase to have an onlyfans.

Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in

in the realm of like, rich kid problems, I want to someday read/write a fic where Nightwing is slowly establishing himself as a full-fledged JL member and everyone is relieved because finally, there's a nice Bat on the Watchtower who doesn't just shoot down their plans and deny their mission requests. but. while Nightwing is kind, and polite, and charming in all the ways the Bat isn't, he's still Dick Grayson. and Dick Grayson grew up as a very rich kid's suddenly very rich kid, which is to say while Bruce might not take it personally, Dick has been fending off people almost his entire life who were trying to use him for his Dad's money. which is to say, I think once Nightwing is on board and the relationship between him and Batman is at least somewhat well-known, there is suddenly a rush of younger, less-experienced members trying to take advantage of Nightwing, mistaking that kindness and openness for willingness to either voluntarily, or involuntarily, infringe upon and cross Batman's clear-cut boundaries. bribing Dick for a better monitor shift with Batman is one thing (it doesn't really work, Dick can't bribe Bruce with much as it is) but trying to convince Nightwing to lie to Batman? to go against him? his dad? the man who pulled him up when he had nothing and gave him meaning again? that man?? and then comes the inevitable, chilling realization, that while Nightwing might wear a different mask, might wear an open smile on the Watchtower and with friends off-shift, there are some lines he won't cross, same as Bruce. he won't, sure as the sun rises and the rot rolls off the Gotham Harbor in the morning.

the familiarity of his surroundings gives way to an ache in oz's chest that settles deeply and stays put. the walls, once lined with beautiful burgundy and gold wallpaper, now stands littered with holes and various graffiti, long forgotten to time. he could blame himself, he supposed...once upon a time this was all his, after all. but certain things weren't meant to be, and oz staying in that home was one of them.

a finger gingerly touches the remnants of peeling paper from the walls, and he watches it crumble to the floor. it's a painful thing to be forced to live so long that your world begins to crumble at your touch.

the shuffle of feet behind him reminds him he isn't alone. for a moment he was back in that home, back beneath that chandelier before it crashed to the ground, back on those wooden floors that had been danced across often. but he's pulled back to the present, to the hurt, to the memories that he would one day forget.

" — do you believe in ghosts? " the words are spoken without turning from that peeling wallpaper, breaking the silence for an attempt to hold onto the past for just a moment longer.

We also know that Danny ‘is LITERALLY a ghost’ Fenton sucks at remembering his own intangibility while ALSO forgetting to look ahead of him.

All I’m saying is, Danny Fenton (or Phantom, if you’d really like) would absolutely SLAM into Batman on accident while running on roof tops and Bruce ‘Brooding Instinct’ Wayne doesn’t even think twice about letting the kid hide and scanning around for danger before there’s a record scratch of ‘wait who tf is this?’ kicks in.
