All Purpose Cleaner
There are many ways to approach all purpose cleaners. Technically you could use just water to clean something. As long as there's no grease or dirt particles on something it is clean, but that doesn't mean we should really be comfortable with that level of clean 😂 I use vinegar most often because it's the most simple, but I have a few recipes to choose from.
Vinegar Cleaner:
This really is the most simple option, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work extremely well!
1 part Vinegar (I love infused vinegar)
1 part Water
15 drops Essential Oil (optional, if using infused vinegar you may not find this necessary)
Castile Soap Cleaner:
If you don't feel like things are clean without a bit of soap this recipe is perfect for you! It's still incredibly simple to make.
2 cup Filtered Water
2-4 tablespoons Castile Soap
15 drops of whatever essential oil (optional, if you buy a scented castile soap you might not find this necessary)
These are great cleaners for basic cleaning to get the grime off, but neither have real sanitizing power. Isopropyl alcohol (also called rubbing alcohol) is amazing for disinfecting.
Disinfecting Cleaner:
This is great for cleaning with a bit of disinfecting power, but this is also an amazing glass cleaner!
1 cup Filtered Water
1/2 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Isopropyl Alcohol
15 drops Essential Oil (optional, if using infused vinegar you may not find this necessary)

cat chores done 🤗 time for a quick break with no drugs... I think part of the reason I've grown so unproductive is because whenever I want to "take a break" I immediately reach for a joint and that results in me being high for the rest of the afternoon. they should make weed that only lasts for 30 minutes!
#chatter#while my relationship with drugs bears little resemblance to what you would think of as addiction#i do think it's not always healthy and that just because i'm home alone and chilling doesn't mean i should be reaching for weed#like maybe i'll try to stop smoking before 6 pm since that's around the time of day i become less productive anyway

I hate that I am wasting fall hiking time being sick and feeling like shit. I had a rough night and a very long slow get going this morning. So long and slow that I don't know that I am going yet.
I had a rough night, despite cold meds and sleep aids. And a lidocaine patch and CBD muscle rub put on my hurting spots.
I tossed and turned and coughed and sweated so much I had to change my nightshirt. Despite getting up many times thru the night to change my gear and go to the bathroom, I bled all over my sheets.
I am awake now, barely. Finished a Monster, did a nebulizer, got cold meds in me, plus my normal supplements, made some tea, my bedsheets are in the wash, & I started puttering around my office.
Every time I buy something, my office has to somehow absorb it. All my books, teas, coffee, sports supplements, any kind of vitamin thing. It all has to go somewhere. So I am working on that. I want it to be functional and less cluttering. Everything needs a home. This is a very maximalist room, bookshelves on 2 whole sides of the room. My desk, the extra desk, and a dresser that serves as my coffee bar. Literally every space is covered with stuff.
I am focusing on making sure the stuff I need to use and find is reachable. I need to be able to grab a coffee/tea or some vitamins/supplements, very quickly.
My weak points are doom piles everywhere. Mail. Piles and piles and piles. Things I meant to deal with probably 6 months ago. Or 5 years ago.
Send all the positive vibes please as I try to focus on bringing some peace back to this space.
I realized I was making the same mistake I made yesterday by not wearing shoes. So, I am going to fix that first. Coffee, tea. Maybe watch an office decluttering video.
Everything hurts and I just uggghhhh.
But if Schmidty can lose weight and keep ot off, so can I.
Maybe I should also grab a shower, that might feel real nice.

Introducing solid foods to your baby is a significant milestone that requires careful planning and consideration. Begin around six months, when your baby shows signs of readiness, such as good head control and interest in food. Start with single-ingredient purees, like mashed vegetables or fruits, to monitor for any allergies. Gradually introduce new foods one at a time, waiting a few days between each to identify potential reactions. Ensure the food is smooth and easy to swallow to prevent choking. Maintain a balanced diet by incorporating a variety of nutrients, including iron-rich foods like cereals and pureed meats. Avoid honey, whole nuts, and unpasteurized products. Consistently observe your baby's reactions and consult your pediatrician if you have any concerns. Introducing solids is a gradual process that sets the foundation for healthy eating habits.
1. Timing: Begin around six months when your baby shows signs of readiness (good head control, interest in food).
2. First Foods: Start with single-ingredient purees (mashed vegetables or fruits).
3. Allergy Monitoring: Introduce new foods one at a time, waiting a few days between each.
4. Texture: Ensure the food is smooth and easy to swallow to prevent choking.

being sick as an adult sucks. wdym my mom won’t just automatically make sure I eat food instead of exclusively drinking Gatorade all day. wdym I have to ask my roommates to make me dinner. I have to Venmo a friend money to buy me more Gatorade?? I can’t focus enough to do homework??? I hate this.
#this is a silly haha humor post but in all seriousness.#COVID rly is just making me stare all the internalized ableism in the eye#yes worth isnt defined by productivity and disability and the idea of being a burden is part of being human and isn’t shameful at all#until I have to minorly inconvenience people to meet my basic needs#I really want to eat dinner but that would require asking my roommates to make me dinner which is just. 5 kinda of mortifying.#even though if someone I knew was sick I would not be upset about making them food! sick people need to eat!#my parents ordered me chipotle yesterday bc they were so concerned bc of how I sounded over the phone#and my friend went out and bought me juice and Gatorade and popsicles and took me to the doctor#the support system Exists I just feel bad about having to use it T-T#I just want to be hugged and read to and reminded to eat food but I am an adult now and not at home#lonely TT-TT#it’ll be okay I’m probably just emotional bc I’m sick and hungry#I also just am struggling so hard because I want to catch up on my classwork Right Now#but I can get through maybe one assignment before I’m too exhausted to keep sitting up#and I have to lay down and close my eyes and sleep or do a light activity like playing candy crush for the fifty bazillionth time#I’ve gotten through like. 100 levels this week.#I’m losing my dang marbles. I am gonna be so behind in ASL Susan is gonna be so disappointed in me#I feel like I have all this energy when I’m laying down bored but as soon as I sit up I feel like I’m floating and about to fall over#so. so tired. why can’t I be healthy already and do homework T-T.#I’m choosing to take this as a lesson to slow down and not overwork myself so hard. instead of being mad at myself for getting behind.#<- is trying and failing not to be mad at herself for getting behind

perfect morning routine 💗
1. wake up early (5:30-6:30 am): start the day off with waking up early to make your mornings feel less rushed.
2. hydrate (5 minutes): drink a glass of water to kickstart your metabolism and rehydrate after a night’s sleep.
3. yoga (10-15 minutes): a short yoga session can help loosen muscles and improve blood flow.
4. meditation (5-10 minutes): practicing deep breathing to center your mind and reduce stress for the day ahead.
5. exercise (20-30 minutes): moderate workouts like a jog, bodyweight exercises, or cycling to boost your energy levels and release endorphins.
6. healthy breakfast (20 minutes): aim for a balance of protein, fiber, and healthy fats. (if you take daily vitamins, do it after having breakfast)
7. shower/skin care (15-20 minutes): refresh yourself and do your skincare routine.
8. daily intentions/scheduling (5 minutes): write and/or vocalize your priorities or goals for the day. you can use a calendar or a journal. this will help you with getting all important things done.
all 8 steps do not need to be done every day but consistency brings the best results!! this routine will leave you feeling energized with a clear mind to start the day!!

Infused Vinegar
Vinegar is one of the best all purpose cleaners in my opinion. I use it all over my house. I'm used to the smell after years of using it for cleaning as well as canning, but I know a lot of people really hate it. You could add essential oils to your cleaning products...or you could make infused vinegar! Infused vinegar is so insanely simple to make as well as cheaper and more sustainable than essential oils. Now don't get me wrong, I love using essential oils, but one bottle takes pounds of plant matter to make. With infused vinegar you can simply add your orange peels to a mason jar after a snack, costing you no extra money and reducing waste.
Orange peels are most commonly used since oranges are popular snacks, but you can use any citrus peels, herbs, or even pine needles! All you have to do is fill a mason jar with your dry matter (Peels, herbs, etc) and then fill the jar with 5% acidity white distilled vinegar and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks. I usually use a quart jar, but if you're not sure you'll like it you could use a pint. Alternatively, if you know you'll go through a ton of infused vinegar, you could make it in a half gallon jar.
