Now that I’ve been fortunate enough to have the seniority to move to an amazing job at work that doesn’t suck the soul out of my body, I think I’m going to be able to get back into the gym.
I was going to buy an erg, bench and free weights for home, but I may put that off a little longer and just suck up hitting the gym after work.

struggling with skinny-fat stage?
what it is: skinny-fat is a term used to describe a body type with certain areas that are larger than the rest. let's say you can see some ribs, and your arms are slim as well as your stomach. however, your thighs are larger and so are your hips/lower belly pouch. (including other way around)
reasoning for this: uneven fat distribution. meaning you mostly likely lost too much weight too quickly. don't panic. your weight loss is still valid. you can still fix this. your body loses certain areas quicker than others and doesn't know where to store things properly.
how to fix it: there are certain methods on "fixing" this body type. (depending on your final body goals)
Sickly slim goal: if you want to look sickly slim/sk1nny full body wise then you need to just keep losing how you are and the rest will come off. yes you will have to lose almost all of your skinnier areas before you start losing the larger areas. it will take time, just continue.
Leaner slim goal: if you want to look slim but more VS model type (some muscle) and not sickly full-bone showing then you will need to work on strength training. like a gym. if you don't have access to that or are trying to hide it from ur loved ones you can try at home workout videos or even pilates if you like lower intensity style. just make sure it is strength training. cardio will not help you, it might even make it worse.
here i've attached a link for an example of strength training pilates. you do not have to use this one. also if you don't have weights feel free to use large full water bottles or any other heavy teams in your household.
if you have any other things i should add, or disagree with something i said, feel free to leave a comment! i will read them hope this helps!

happy ficlet fridayyy 💪🧑🏻‍⚕️ (ideally taynick for working out & dealer’s choice for therapy but follow your heart)
YAY TAYNICK!! I never get to write taynick!! we always need more taynick. okay let's do it. gonna do firstprince for therapy because obviously we're gonna write henry in therapy.
but first, obviously we're writing taylor at the gym (both under the cut just bc long!)
Popping in his headphones, Taylor selected his carefully curated workout playlist. He took pride in his playlists, cultivating exactly the right vibe for each scenario. Working out, going on a hike, romantic nights at home, chill beats for studying scripts. Fitness had always been important to him, as a firm believer that it was all about how you feel and having a healthy relationship with your body, rather than simply how one looks. It just happened to be an added benefit that he also looked fit as fuck. He knew people ogled him at the gym. He paid them no mind, perfectly content to lock into his music and get in touch with his own mind. As the sweat dripped down his temples and the heavy weights burned his biceps, he often found his mouth lip syncing along with his music. Until all of a sudden he realized he was mouthing words to a song that he knows for a fact he did not put on his playlist. How did that get there? Taylor opened the app and scrolled to the bottom of the playlist to find that was the most recently added song. He hadn't added it, but he knows who had. It was their song. He screenshotted the song playing and opened a text to Nick. Not sure what you're trying to do here, but now I'm horny at the gym The reply was almost immediate: Not sure what you're talking about ;)
~~ now onto Henry in therapy
"Henry, it's wonderful to see you again. Things have been going well, I presume?" The therapist asked through the computer screen. Henry fidgeted in his seat at the kitchen table, "Yeah, yes, for the most part. Which is why I haven't scheduled in quite some time." "Mm," the therapist nodded in understanding. "So what prompted you to schedule this session?" Looking down at his lap where he fidgeted with his hands, he tried to come up with something that didn't sound, well, trite and dramatic. As if reading his mind, the therapist said "You don't even have to have a reason, sometimes we just need to talk, hm?" "Yes, I suppose that's all I really need. Because, you know, my partner, he's lovely. Really the best man I could ever ask for. But he's never dealt with...depression like I have. So it's nice to have someone who understands." The therapist took notes as Henry spoke, likely because this is his first time formally bringing up Alex. "Your partner," the therapist starts. "How's your communication with him when you go into your... how did you used to describe it... dark days?" "That's it, yeah," Henry confirmed. "And, well... you know me... I just go... dark for lack of a better term. But he's taken to knowing immediately what's going on. I'm just afraid one day he'll get tired of the darkness. And the sudden radio silence." He shook his head, admonishing himself for thinking something so silly. "Has he ever indicated that it weighs on him? When you go silent?" The therapist implored. "No, never," Henry continued. "Which is why it's so silly! He gives me my space when I need it, then he'll show up like a goddamn knight in shining armor with food and drinks that he knows won't overwhelm me. He makes me get up and at least brush my teeth, knows when I have it in me to shower vs. when I don't. Lays with me in the silence when everything is just too... too much." "And you're afraid he's doing all of this out of obligation, rather than because he loves you and because he wants to," the therapist finishes his thought. Henry chuckles despite himself, "I know, it sounds really stupid now saying it out loud. I should just be grateful --" "None of that," the therapist interrupts. "We are not talking down on ourselves here. It sounds like Alex is wonderful in your times of need, but lets focus on what tools you need to foster within yourself to get through those times."
ouch I hurt myself on the feels

Weeks had gone by, nearly a month.
Taylor had stayed in town another couple of days after the night at the bar. You both had gone to check out the tattoo shop the bartender had given you the card for and he had gotten a piece done before he left, a peony flower to fill the space he had been talking about. He had helped you make a run to the restaurant supply store and checked over all the coolers and ovens in the bakery for you. He had even checked all the plumbing and piping in the apartment and underneath the hood of the truck, just to cover all the bases. He was too sweet, you had kissed him goodbye at the airport.
You had gotten back into a routine, but had opted to close the shop on Monday’s to allow you some personal time that wasn’t just an evening after working all day. You still frequented Brass Knuckles but not every day like you had been. You would be the first to admit that you had been using it as a way to distract yourself from dealing with issues head on, too tired from the day and a workout to do much else other than care for the cats and plan out the next batch of sweets.
You had joined the guys each Friday for drinks at the bar across the way from the gym, the small place housing your new friend Morgan as well. You both had hit it off after you approached her about her back piece and had gotten drinks at a fancier place downtown a few times, close to the bakery so you both didn’t have to worry about driving if you had too much. It was nice to have someone to dress up with and go have a nice dinner with craft cocktails, a friend to share it with. Thankfully your little shop was on the south end of main street downtown, the slower end of the stretch of shops and restaurants and attractions that made up the downtown scene.
She was nice, a good friend. Confided in you immediately that Taylor had hit on her once he had left to return home to his son and his business. You laughed sweetly, not worried in the slightest and said if she could convince him to go out the next time he was in town, it’d be good for the both of them. But he was like you in that regard, too self-conscious to do anything other than flirt. Speaking of flirting….
You and Frankie hadn’t had much free time, but you had been texting quite a bit. Even exchanged a few phone calls here and there when a spare minute allowed for it. He was busy with school being out for the summer and Lex was a handful at the young age of seven. She did have a daycare she frequented but if his mother was able to, he preferred to leave her with family. You had learned that her full name was Alexia, a few more detail about her mother leaving after she was born, that Frankie had meetings he didn’t detail every Tuesday night, that he worked as a helicopter tour guide during the weekends and at a local mechanic shop during the week. His one day off a week was Friday’s, though he was home early enough most days after going in early around the same time you rose to prep and open the bakery.
He was a breath of fresh air, he put absolutely no pressure on you and you did the same for him. You had been honest with him that first night that you agreed to take things slow in order to lessen the chances of hectic daily life getting in the way, of self-sabotaging like you tended to do and push people away with the claim that you didn’t have any room or spare time for a relationship. But you felt secure enough in the words you had shared with the sweet man and he was slowly weaseling his way into your mind more and more. His soft smile, those plush lips, broad shoulders that strained against his shirts, that cap that kept his soft curls hidden from sight. Which was probably a good thing, you wanted to take your time and run your hands through them anytime they were visible and knowing how soft his hair was already and the sounds he made when you did was a heady thought.
You cleared your throat and counted out the change for the girl in front of you. She smiled at you, her front tooth missing as she proudly held the cupcake up and gushed a quick ‘thank you, cake lady!’. The man behind her watched her as she made her way to the couches off to the left, setting her treat down gently atop the coffee table and reaching into her backpack. He turned back around with a charming smile and a glint of something in his eye.
“Now that she’s all situated, how about a….cinnamon latte with almond milk?” He leaned over to place his card on the terminal reader when you prompted him, the little chirping noise filling the moment of silence. “Can I ask you a question? I don’t want to come off as interrogating but I am curious.”
“You can ask whatever you want, but there might not be an answer.” You spoke over your shoulder as you busied yourself with making the man’s order. It had been a hectic day, the cases were nearly empty, only a handful of the more popular treats like cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and tarts left from the stock you had spent all afternoon yesterday preparing. There had been an event at one of the museums down a few blocks, allowing for more foot traffic this Friday.
“You’re the only one I ever see in here and not that you’re not somethin’ good to see…” He was leaning back and forth on the balls of his feet, his hands in the front pockets of his jeans as he spoke, watching the way your shoulders moved as you steamed the milk and mixed in the syrup for his drink. The bell above the front door dinged, signaling another customer. You welcomed them but didn’t turn around until you were finished with wiping off the spout on the espresso machine. “But I was wondering if there was anyone that made sure you got to enjoy something nice every once in a while?”
“Oh! Well, it’s true, I don’t have anyone else hired at the moment. But I get by just fine, there’s no need to worry about me.” You tried to brush him off gently, setting his drink down on the counter in front of him and taking in the way a tall figure had crouched down in front of a smaller one in front of one of the display cases to ogle what was left. Before you could let go of the paper cup, the man’s hands encircled your own.
“The only worry I have is you turning down an offer for a nice dinner at that new Tuscan place that opened up a few blocks north.”
“Oh! That’s a rather nice offer but I don’t really make a habit of going out with my customers. I apologize but I do appreciate you asking me.” You smiled at him, though it wasn’t quite as full as it had been when you greeted them upon entrance. He and his daughter came in once a week, doing school work before heading home. You weren’t sure what their situation was but honestly you weren’t too keen on finding out. You already had a dad and daughter duo you were fond of. “Enjoy your drink and let me know if you need anything else from the case.”
With that you shuffled over to the figures that were waiting for their turn to order. You were wiping your hands on the black apron you adorned to get the feeling of his fingers off your skin, not bothering to look up as you asked what looked interesting to them. When the taller figure spoke your head shot up and you found yourself gazing into Frankie’s brown eyes, a touch of concern behind them as he smiled at you.
“This little lady and I decided to get a mix of whatever you thought best for a meeting.” He jostled his arm lightly, the little girl whose hand he was holding giggled and jostled him right back. She was beautiful, same brown curls atop her head, though she wore her hair a little longer down to her shoulders. Same dimples and kind eyes. You felt your chest flutter as you realized Frankie had brought his daughter. Here. To see you. To see you interact with him.
“And a red velvet cupcake!”
“Lex, we didn’t see any of those, remember? What was something else that looked good to you?”
“Hmm, how about a…” She let go of his hand and rushed back to the other case closest to the right wall of the shop. She was pointing out at it and tracing her finger through the air as she looked everything over again, indecisiveness evident.
“I’m so sorry to surprise you like this, but the guys asked me to get stuff for a meeting at the gym. It’s almost fight night season and we were gonna go over details for the events. Lex and I were coming from the park down the way and I figured it would be okay?” His sheepish smile gave a hint to how nervous he was, as did the hand that came up to rub at the back of his neck.
“You’re totally okay, I just…I don’t want her to not like me. Even if she just sees me as the lady with the cakes.”
“You’re a little more than that, querida.” He looked like he wanted to reach over the counter and touch you, his eyes gentle at your confession. But you were hyper aware of the little girl dissecting the case and the other man who was glancing at you from the couch with his own daughter. “But I understand, I just told her you were mine and Benny’s friend and that you had some cool stuff we could check out. The second I said bakery she was jumping around and gushing about smores everything.”
“Papa, I don’t see anything with marshmallows.” Lexi sidled back up next to him, a slight frown pulling at her lips.
“Hold on a sec!” You turned on your heel and disappeared through the swinging door that led into the kitchen. You approached the speed rack that you had hidden away some cupcakes you were going to drop off with the guys as an apology for not being able to make it out for drinks tonight. There were a couple that were smores themed. It was a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting, adorned with two large toasted marshmallows and a piece of graham cracker. You plucked one up carefully and took it back out to the front with you. You walked around the entire counter and leaned down to present it to the girl, who squealed with delight at the sight.
“Look what I found in the back. Your daddy told me you liked smores.” She was smiling so big, her dimples decorating her cheeks as she gingerly took the plated treat from you. She quickly turned to Frankie who was watching on and trying to hide a wide smile at the interaction.
“Papa, look! Marshmallows!” She raised the plate for him to see better, her blue dress swaying with the action. “Can I eat it here?”
“Before dinner?” He crossed his arms in a display of thinking it over, but you knew before she even asked he was going to let her despite how close to dinner it must be for her. “Okay, but don’t tell abuela, okay? It’ll be our little secret.”
She scurried to one of the tables off to the right.
“You didn’t have to do that, querida. But that lil gremlin really does love marshmallows.”
“I heard that!”
“Yeah, what’re you gonna do about it?”
“I’m gonna tell Benny you’re being mean when I see him next.”
“I’m not afraid of him, you can tell him that too!”
“You’re so cute.” The words tumbled out of your mouth before you even realized they existed. The look Frankie pinned you with had you squirming now back behind the counter. Space, space was good. It would help you to keep your hands to yourself. He raised an eyebrow at you, a smirk lifting the corner of his lips as he adjusted the ‘standard oil’ cap atop his head. You avoided his eyes and busied yourself with getting a pastel pink box from the pile behind the counter. You disappeared into the kitchen for a second with a few things now in it and then proceeded to fill it with enough for each of the guys to have two treats each. “So, um, did you wanna take the guys coffee too?”
You turned back around and your heart stuttered in your chest. Frankie was watching you. He was taking in the way your arms were exposed in one of those frustratingly tight tank tops you liked to wear in the Florida heat, the way your hips swayed in the form fitting denim you were wearing and the way the tie to your apron accentuated the cinch of your waist before your hips flared out. His eyes held a heat you hadn’t seen since that first night, you two being extremely careful around the guys on bar nights.
“Coffee sounds good.” He rumbled, his voice telling you he wasn’t thinking of coffee at all. He relished the blush that tinged your cheeks. You punched a few things into the register screen and his total flashed across the screen as you turned it for him to see. You had blocked the ‘add tip’ question for his transaction. He broke his gaze away from you after watching the way you took a deep breath and turned to grad a few fresh cups, only to furrow his brow.
“This seems a little low.” He didn’t move to retrieve his wallet from his pocket.
“Hmm? Oh, I was going to take y’all today’s leftovers. I won’t be able to make it out tonight with how busy it was. Sold a lot, which is good. The summer farmers market starts tomorrow and it runs down this way now with the new stalls so it’ll be another busy day.” You spoke as you busied yourself making the guys preferred drinks.
“Querida, please at least charge us for half. You work so hard, you deserve every dollar.” He glanced over at his daughter, making sure she was okay. She was kicking her feet underneath the chair as she munched on the cupcake, happy as can be. She smiled at him when she felt him look over at her.
“No, no. It’s okay, really.”
Your name was said in a tone you hadn’t heard from him yet. You turned around to place the full cupholder in front of him. Another, smaller cup beside it.
“Frankie, really. Y’all can like cover me one night at the taco truck.”
“I will be paying for dinner once we get a date figured out.” The same tone was used, causing a jolt of pleasure to skate down your front and between your legs. All you could do was nod as his hands reached out to take the cup holder from you, letting his fingers trail over yours for a moment. Your breath hitched at how warm they were on your cool skin. Tingles sprouted from the contact, a noise getting caught in your throat. Frankie let his eyes drag down your form, his tongue peaking out between his lips as he licked them. They were chapped all of a sudden.
“Papa, that was sooo good! Can we come back next week?” Lex bounded up next to him, breaking the moment in the only way a child could. He smiled down at her, not answering just yet as he pulled his wallet out and tapped his bank card on the screen. You busied your hands with pushing your glasses back up on your nose, they had slid down a little with the movement of looking at his hands around yours. The beep of it was cheery but he frowned again when the tip percentages didn’t show up.
“So, this is steamed milk with vanilla for you. To help wash down that cupcake.” You held the cup out to the little girl, wanting to avoid Frankie’s direct gaze.
“Oooh, yummy! This would go good with some pan dulce, huh, Papa?” She took a big gulp and he was about to warn her it might be really hot when you told him you had only steamed it at half temperature.
“Honey, you just had a cupcake.” His tone was exasperated dramatically, playing into her little hands in not quite the way she wanted. “How about we have that in the morning with abuela when I come to get you?”
“Papa, that’s sooo far away and I won’t have any left!”
“Then we’ll just have to come back here, won’t we?” He gave you a conspiratorial wink before taking the cupholder and setting it atop the full box of treats, moving away from the counter. Lexi was sweet enough to try and open the door for him but didn’t want to spill her drink in the process. Frankie just turned to use his back to open the door, allowing her to go out first and bound toward his truck parked at the curb. She chirped a ‘thank you!’ at you before she did so. Frankie gave you a nod before turning on his heel and following her to the vehicle.
You watched him carefully place his things in the bed of the truck before unlocking it and settling Lex in her car seat that was fastened in the extended cab of the truck. She was talking animatedly as he did so, making sure she was secure before placing the box and drinks on the floor of the passenger side, you could see the girl’s bag of supplies for the day and a small backpack that he must use when out and about with her, ever the prepared dad. You watched until he was over on the driver’s side and hauled his tall frame into the cab and drove off.
“What’s a guy gotta do to get that kinda service?” The father from before was leaning over the left display case by the register. You hadn’t even heard him move, you ran your hands over the front of your apron in a nervous gesture.
“He’s part of my friend group.” You said politely, trying not to upset the man but not wanting to play into his little game.
“He seemed like little more than a friend, be honest now. Thought you didn’t go out with customers.”
“Like I said, he’s a part of my friend group. I just moved here in the beginning of the year, they don’t come in a lot.”
“Maybe I’d like to a part of your friend group.” He placed a card on the counter before winking at you and walking away to retrieve his daughter. She had packed up while he went back up to the counter. As soon as he was loaded up in his car and backed out from his spot on the curb, you crossed the space and locked the door, flipping the open sign to closed with a shaky breath.
-
Frankie couldn’t help but glance at his phone every so often. He had sent you something right after getting loaded in the car, worried about the guy who had been asking after you. You hadn’t looked comfortable but had tried to remain professional and polite. The guy had a kid, yeah, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t a creep. He had taken in the way the man had taken his hands in yours, when you had clearly placed the paper cup down on the counter to avoid contact. How his gaze had lingered on you in a way he wasn’t thrilled about even as you had walked toward them to help.
You hadn’t responded, even now after dropping off Lex at his parent’s house. He had made sure his little girl was settled, the cup you had given her still half full so he carried it and the box of pastries into the house after her.
“Mama! I brought you some treats!” He called as he closed and locked the front door behind him, it didn’t matter if he was only going to be here for a moment. He watched Lex go down the hall toward her room here and let out a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding. He set the box on the counter and opened it up, picking out what he thought his parents would like the most and setting them on a plate from the cabinet.
“Aye, Francisco, I told you none of that!” His mother came into the room flash, as if summoned by the box from your bakery.
“Mama, my friend made these. She makes the best stuff.”
“A friend, eh? Not the same one you called about weeks ago?”
“Hush, mama, it’s still new.” His face felt hot as his mother took one of the sweets he thought she would like and bit into it. Her wide smile making him feel a little better about sharing, you really had given him too much for just him and the guys.
Frankie was now seated at the bar with the guys, after planning the first couple events with Benny and Will doing most of the work. Frankie and Pope were mostly there for moral support, opting to work as laid back security should any issues arise during the events. They didn’t see a need to hire actual security with the backgrounds they had collectively, assured they could handle a majority of issues that seemed to blossom in the atmosphere of these kinds of things with level heads.
“Where’s my girl?” The sweet voice of the bartender greeted them as she approached with a tray of five shots and five pints of beer. She had seen them cross the street and gotten everything set for them for when they were seated, it was a slow night for it being a Friday. This part of the city getting less foot traffic than downtown.
She placed the tray on the table with a flourish, smiling at the thanks around the table.
“She’s busy prepping for the farmers market tomorrow.” Benny said as he lifted his shot of amber liquid up in a silent request. “She said business has been picking up! She’s been working late more often than not, but she assured me she’s going to post a position soon so she can focus more on the back of house and managing stuff.”
Everyone raised their own shot glass, Morgan included and clinked them together. They all gently tapped the bottom of the small glasses on the table before knocking back the amber liquid. They stacked the empty glasses together in a small tower.
“She was pretty much cleaned out when Lex and I stopped in.” Frankie offered, hoping the guys didn’t read too much into it. Oh, how wrong he was.
“You took Lex in to see her?” Pope’s eyes found him and he found himself pinned with a sharp look and a raised eyebrow. All eyes were on him now. Morgan cleared her throat and swiped the tower of shot glasses and the tray from the table.
“God speed.” She chuckled as she scurried off to the bar. Oh she knew he was about to get it from the guys, she had done the same when you admitted to her one night after a few glasses of wine that you really liked the way Frankie looked when he would show up to the bar with grease smeared along his hands and sometimes his cheek. She had been supportive, telling you he was a good man from her interactions over the years with them all at the bar. She also told you she hadn’t seen much of his personal life other than one girl who had accompanied him a couple months when they first decided the little bar would be their regular place.
“Uh yeah, we were at the park around the corner when you told me about the meeting. Figured it would be better to support her than that French place closer to here. They’re always weird when I ask for an americano.” Frankie was avoiding eye contact, his fingers tapping on the pint glass in front of him. His fingertips wetting with the condensation on it.
“No, no, that place is weird, I’ll give you that. Manté has better stuff anyway.” Will spoke evenly, though if Frankie were paying attention, he would be able to see the wolfish grin his friend was donning. “One of my instructors is there a lot, takes his daughter there before dropping her off with his ex-wife every Friday. Said she’s always so nice and friendly with his kid.”
“Lex seemed to like her, she didn’t seem nervous.” He said without really thinking about how it could be taken by present company.
“Why would she be nervous meeting her friend’s kid?” Benny spoke, his glass half lifted to his lips as he had been about to take a drink. He narrowed his eyes at Frankie, though the older man refused to look up at his friends, he could feel them all looking at him.
His next words, that he hadn’t even formed in his mind let alone on his tongue, were gone as his phone began to ring. He excused himself and calmly crossed the bar to the door.
“Hey, everything okay, Mama?” Frankie couldn’t help the fear and worry that immediately gripped around his heart, his chest hurting as it thumped harshly in his ribcage.
“Si, si, Francisco. Mi amor is just so tired from the day, she’s already fallen asleep. It’s best if she stays here for the night.”
“Mama…” Frankie groaned at the obvious ploy to give him the night off. He should’ve known she would try something like this after telling her about you, however fleeting and vague it had been.
“Your eyes lit up when you talked about her, por favor mi hijo, she’s good for you.”
Frankie had just hung up after agreeing to let his daughter sleep over when the guys all clambered through the door of the bar outside. Pope clapped a hand down on his shoulder with a grin.
“Come on, hermano, we’re gonna go help our sweet girl.”
-
You had the music loud enough to drown out the thoughts from the day, the heavier cords resonating through your body, nodding your head along to it as you moved fluidly around your giant kitchen. You had a batch of chocolate cupcakes in the top oven, four racks full but not too packed to prevent even baking. The bottom oven contained a batch of vanilla ones, the smells floating through the air in a sweet, tantalizing swirl. You were drumming along to a particularly heavy beat with two mixing spatulas you had yet to use, eyes closed as you let the music wash over you. You moved in front of the two mixers you had set up on the counter facing the island, they shared the wall of the back of the shop front. The four ovens, two stacked on two, on the right wall of the room, the three compartment sink taking up the other longer side of the room, sharing the wall with the stairs up to your home.
You made sure the butter was peaking the way you wanted it to before adding in mascarpone and cream cheese mixture into one of them and melted chocolate and powdered sugar into the other. You set them on the lowest speed and made your way into the shop front, not hearing the phone begin to ring as the music pumping through the store speakers drowned it out. You nodded your head along to the heavy bass and guitar, reveling in the way you felt like you were at peace as you rounded the counter and lifted up the glass fronts to each of the display cases. They were empty, you had taken the spare leftovers to the shelter on the other side of the street after you closed. You have been busy working since then.
Speed racks littered the little seating area of the shop. Cookies of every flavor on two of them, the many trays on it holding what would hopefully be enough to tide you over until Monday. You had knocked them out first, doing two oven’s worth of each flavor quickly during the afternoon. Opting to let them cool while you got to work on cupcakes, since they required more attention to detail and then decorating. You began to sing along to the lyrics, pausing to catch your breath when the singer would punctuate the song with a scream.
Touch me, taste me, tell me I’m not fading
Tell me that I look just like a man
‘Cause lately, baby, I’ve been going crazy
Trying not to be an embarrassment
You shimmied around, letting your hips feel the bass bumping through the speakers and all around in the air around you. You reached over to grab the cleaning spray and made sure every part of the case shelves were covered before reaching for the rags you had put by the register and putting one down atop each of them. The singer moved on through the next part in low screams, your head bobbing along to the increasing crescendo of the song. Just as the music swelled you grasped at one of the tamps for the espresso machine and pulled it to you to use as a microphone as you belted out the next set of lyrics.
Don’t close your eyes tonight
Perfect melodies are hard to find
I got a feeling we can touch the sky
You whipped around as you pitched your voice up high to hit the last note, taking pride in the fact that you could still manage it as you had gotten older. Your eyes caught movement near the front door and you felt yourself freeze as the note left your lips, the espresso tamp falling from your hands as you looked out the clear glass of the front door like a deer caught in headlights to see four faces smiling back at you.

mostly a reminder for myself but maybe some of y'all will find it useful as well
Weigh yourself every 1-2 days. In the morning. Use an app to track your weight.
Don't forget to body check every morning. Take pics and keep them in a secret app like KeepSafe.
Eat a maximum of 1200 cals.
Drink 2-2.5L daily. Google the exact intake that you need.
Drink water / tea / coffee to make the hunger go away.
Do OMAD. This will make you eat less cals anyways. Stick to a 23/1 fasting window.
Do a prolonged (e.g. 48 hour) fast at least once a week. Don't forget the electrolytes!!!! If you feel sick, end the fast with chicken / vegetable broth.
Get 7.500-10.000 steps a day.
Go to the gym or do home workouts.
Drink apple cider vinegar diluted with water daily.
Drink green tea / nettle tea with lemon daily.
Only drink diet soda!!!!
Keep track of your protein intake to prevent too much muscle loss. Remember, having more muscle mass means you burn more calories at the same body weight than if you had less muscle mass.
Don't eat after 6pm.
If you know that you're meeting up with friends / family and will eat there, make this your only meal for the day. Plan ahead!
Watch mukbangs of f4t people when hungry. Or superf4t vs supersk1nn1.
Watch videos / read about the benefits of fasting to motivate you.
Take your daily supplements!!!!!!!
Have a mint mouth spray with you at all times to prevent bad smell from your mouth.
Look at mealspo to prevent a b!nge.
Allow yourself a metabolism day once a week if you hit a plateau.
If you have more advice, feel free to comment.

you think she made that choice not put the hair in a ponytail?
Well. Absolutely not to ruin the thirsty fun of this 😅 but this is an ad at its core, so my marketing brain is guessing the owner who brought her in/asked her to do this promotion wanted her to look more casual than sporty - in essence giving the vibe of a woman at home just doing her workout in her free time vs like a gym bunny-esque figure. Which is hard to pull off with someone as hot and fit as Alycia 😮‍💨 but the hair down does help give it that more attainable (sellable) relaxed, at-home energy

Gym Body vs Home Workout Body
The terms "gym body" and "home workout body" are often used to describe the different physiques that can be achieved by working out at a gym or at home. There is no one definitive answer to which type of body is better, as it ultimately depends on individual goals and preferences.
However, there are some general differences between the two. Gym bodies are typically characterized by being more muscular and defined. This is because gyms typically have more equipment that allows for a wider variety of exercises, which can help to build muscle mass. Additionally, the social environment of a gym can be motivating for some people, which can help them to push themselves harder during their workouts.
Home workout bodies, on the other hand, are often characterized by being more lean and functional. This is because home workouts typically focus on bodyweight exercises, which can help to improve overall strength and fitness. Additionally, home workouts can be more convenient and flexible, which can make them easier to fit into busy schedules.
Ultimately, the best way to achieve your fitness goals is to find a workout routine that you enjoy and that fits your lifestyle. Whether you choose to work out at a gym or at home, the most important thing is to be consistent with your workouts and to eat a healthy diet.
Here are some additional factors to consider when choosing between a gym body and a home workout body:
1. Your fitness goals: If your goal is to build muscle mass, then a gym body may be a better option for you. However, if your goal is to improve your overall health and fitness, then a home workout body may be a better fit.
2. Your budget: Gym memberships can be expensive, so if you're on a budget, then a home workout body may be a more affordable option.
3. Your lifestyle: If you have a busy schedule, then a home workout body may be a better option because it's more convenient. However, if you enjoy the social aspect of working out, then a gym body may be a better fit.
No matter which type of body you choose to pursue, the most important thing is to find a workout routine that you enjoy and that you can stick with. With consistency and dedication, you can achieve your fitness goals, regardless of where you work out.

Yesterday, I had quite a bad day thus I didn’t blog anything. It’s okay and totally normal to have bad days, not every day can be a walk on sunshine you know. Even on the bad days, it can help to blog to just let things out or journal at most. Which is what I always try to take into consideration, even if I’m having a bad day — it might be a good thing to document it, so in the future I can look back and think “I got through that, I can get through this!”.

Nevertheless, today was a good day! I updated all my workouts and transferred them to my garmin clock! So today I did a new upper body routine which went great! I even got some help from a staff member with my form — my gym is so comfortable and I feel it’s a perfect place to grow! Then after my workout I went to the golf course to do some practice on the driving range and the chipping- and putting green so I can be prepared for the season when I get back home. This evening I am just going to do some self care and journaling whilst watching the Carolina Hurricanes vs New Jersey Devils game!

One of my favorite underused concepts is a Mikasa vs Floch rivalry over Eren. Yes, Floch will never be so close to Eren as Mikasa or Armin, but I’m thinking at some point in a modern au floch and eren become friends, and a Floch is obviously thirsting over the densely oblivious Eren, and mikasa is extremely aware of this.
Do you have any ideas of how this could play out?
Anon, I wrote out this whole reply to you this morning, added tags, and I swear I posted but apparently I did not, so fuck me. I'll try to recap, but I'm bummed because it won't be the same as when I wrote it out off the top of my head.
I started by saying that it's tricky for me to see Floch's feelings for Eren as romantic because I see him being more along the lines of an Andrew Tate fanboy than a young man in love. I went into some stuff about how Mikasa was annoyed with Floch because he was always saying douchey things to try to impress Eren and that Floch hated Mikasa because Eren never went anywhere without her and if Floch said something Mikasa didn't like, Eren would give him shit for it.
Then I tried to picture Floch with a crush and I concluded that he would for sure orchestrate becoming gym buddies with Eren, and it would drive Mikasa crazy because Floch would always be posting these smug-looking gym selfies with Eren working out in the background. She knows exactly what Floch is up to.
Even though she's more of the home workout type, she finally has enough. She puts on her most flattering workout outfit and goes to sign up for Eren's gym.
He's already there lifting weights with Floch when she walks out onto the floor to start using the machines and he almost drops the barbell on his neck when he sees her. Luckily Floch is spotting for him. Eren abandons his bench presses and Floch and heads straight for Mikasa, who has been pretending not to realize he's there, to ask her if she wants to workout with him, maybe she wants to sign up for a weekly class or two together, whatever.
Fuming, Floch goes over to insult her form, but of course it's perfect and now Eren is ignoring him, so he ends up going home to sulk. To add insult to injury, when he gets there and checks his social media, he sees Eren has posted his very first gym selfie ever, and its him and Mikasa smiling and clinking water bottles. Even worse, he's captioned it "gym buddies" as if Floch hasn't been there exercising with him several times a week for over a year now.
