IWTV Crack!Theory Ahead:
*Lestat* is the one who wiped Daniel's memories of his relationship with Armand, as part of their insane, centuries-long homoerotic beef. "Oh, so you refuse to tell Louis I love him? Wouldn't it be a shame if the love of *your* life forgets everything about you. :) :) "
Armand, of course, retaliates by doubling down on his relationship with Louis, cheerfully broadcasting parts of the Dubai interview to Lestat, "Hear that? He called *me* the love of his life. Oh, and also he thinks we fucked in the past. :) :)"

âGay sex will not fix this situation. honestly, it'd probably make it worse. that being said i think we should give it a shot anyway.â
The best way to describe cross faction relationships.
Okay butâŚwhat if it did make things better!
Like..they push optimus & megs into a room together and they lock it.

1, 9 and 10 for your ask game please!
1) the character everyone gets wrong
I'd go with Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, and I know that's cheating because that's two, but in my defence, the ways in which people get them wrong independently absolutely inform the ways they get the other wrong to.
Janet is a lot more proactive in her relationship with Hank than people give her credit for, and was a much bigger reason of why their relationship failed than people also give her credit for. There's a push to rewrite history and make her a very flat victim, and I can see why, but it's frustrating because I think it's a lot more interesting that Janet repeatedly and purposefully ignored multiple warning signs that Hank's health was imperiled simply because she held on to a belief that love could overcome anything, including a man's undiagnosed and unmedicated schizophrenia. It is JANET who makes the decision to marry. She is essentially the one who proposed, after Hankâhallucinating as Yellowjacket and genuinely thinks he is his own murdererâkidnaps her, then briefly becomes lucid and backs off.
Genuinely, right. Genuinely. I don't think the Hank we see here, violently hallucinating, thinking he murdered himself and having a totally different persona and attitude, was in a position to give meaningful consent! I think it's very clear this is a man a danger to himself and to other people, who was not in the right frame of mind to agree to marriage, but people prefer to write Janet as a very basic victim, which I think is a massive disservice to the actually really nuanced way her relationship with Hank was sometimes written, where Hank was clearly unwell and Janet knew it but thought it was an issue that could be fixed with holiday's and sex and Avenging and not a more fundamental psychological one, and that's a far more interesting story to me.
9) worst part of canon
Lotta things I can put here. I think at the moment I am most frustrated by "Krakoa had no people on it before mutants fine, therefore it isn't an ethnostate and it's totally cool and awesome", because the lie of "there were no people here before us!" has been used time and time again throughout history to justify genocide, oppression, violence and colonialism, and I do not think it is the place of the white Americans in charge of writing Krakoa to essentially legitimise those lies because they didn't want to write Magneto or Nightcrawler or Wolverine and company to be out and out colonisers. If you are writing this kind of project, I think you should have the dignity to commit to it.
10) worst part of fanon
in no particular order
Dadneto, House of M dynasty as a whole
Charles is walking. More than anything else with Cherik this annoys me the most. Motherfucker I'll break his legs myself. Please at the very least let the disabled character be disabled.
The notion that Sue/Namor is real and happened
Logan Howlett girldad
Crystal doesn't exist in the Maximoff family conversation, related to that I once saw a haha fandom meme where Crystal was called an absent parent and that is so fundmantally untrue it felt like I was being trolled
Claremont's racism and zionism isn't real don't worry about it. Close your eyes and only mention it when it's something you can't pretend doesn't exist like Kitty Pryde saying the n word multiple times
Hank McCoy was Always Evil and Always Fated To Go Dark. That's just a regular man forced to hang out with his high school friends after three years of doing nothing but smoke weed with a gay 1950s theatre nerd. You would turn "evil" too.
That Reed Richards doesn't love his wife??? He invented comic guys being really intense about their wives. Leave him alone... that's the love of his life above all else??? Excuse me.

Re-visiting Antoinette
So, I've been re-watching the show and it has me coming back to Antoinette. Which, I think I always come back to Antoinette because she is important, just not in the way a lot of people think.
The thing is, Louis and Lestat don't communicate properly so you have to look at their actions to figure out where they are at mentally and emotionally at any given time. And painting a more complete picture of Lestat's actions in relation to Antoinette and her purpose according to Lestat does that.
You see, I think by the time Antoinette enters, Lestat feels like he is losing Louis. Their relationship is going down the drain because they're not communicating properly and on top of that Louis isn't feeding well so he doesn't have energy for the parts of their relationship that do work. Louis' lack of proper feeding though is tied to his feelings, his humanity. And his shame of what he is, for which Lestat partly blames himself because of how he handled Louis' turning and their relationship.
And so Lestat starts trying to re-write history to get Louis back. Fix the mistakes he made in the past that Louis holds against him to get Louis back in the present but also as a way to remind Louis of the good times. And he uses Antoinette to do that.
As such Lestat casts Antoinette in the role of Ernesto. Because that's where everything started to go wrong in their relationship. Louis being disgusted with how and why Lestat kills. In Louis' opinion Lestat should never have killed Ernesto. At the very least not in the way he did.
Just like Ernesto Antoinette is a musician. And just like with Ernesto as she leaves Lestat is looking at her like he wants to drain her but he doesn't at that point even though I believe he wants to.
He then also uses Antoinette to remind Louis of his courting period with him. I think Lestat's intention with Antoinette is for Louis to miss him during that two week period as he lavishes all of his attention on someone other than Louis only to then try to seduce him at the end of it, recreating the first time he and Louis slept together after their two week courting period with Antoinette in the role of Lily. Also using the fact that Louis is hungry to try to get him to feed.
I genuinely think Lestat would have killed Antoinette if his plan had worked here. Drained her with Louis most likely. Ernesto's death, but with different circumstances. No humiliation, no torture, just pleasure and lulling her into a false sense of security so Louis can feed. Trying to listen to the objections Louis had to the way Lestat killed. Because the killing itself is non-negotiable, but the circumstances can be negotiated. Lestat is willing to hunt for Louis, and in whatever way that will make it more likely that Louis will feed human.
Lestat's genuinely trying to find viable alternatives for Louis to feed on. Because Louis isn't opposed to feeding on animals. But that isn't a sufficient diet. So what is the human equivalent of an animal to Louis? Louis is opposed to feeding on black people because he considers them his people. Louis is also gay, attracted to his own sex, so all men might be off the table. So I think Lestat goes, would white women suffice? Would that be impersonal enough? Or do you need it to be more personal? Would a white woman that looks like me make you angry enough to feed if you can direct your anger at her? Since male criminals don't do the trick? Or do you need variety of the sexual sort? Do you need to have sex that then devolves into you draining your victim in the heat of the moment?
And I mean, Lestat hit the nail on the head too, you've got to give him that. He knows Louis very well. Because Louis in Paris feeds on humans when he hallucinates his victims as Lestat and directs his anger at them. And in San Francisco Louis sleeps with his victims then drains them. They need so much therapy by the way.
But then here that doesn't work. Louis leaves to feed on animals instead of joining Lestat and Antoinette. So Lestat's like okay, I've got to go back even further. Fix every mistake I've ever made with Louis. Not kill Lily, not turn Louis two weeks into knowing him and use Antoinette to represent that. And so he continues to cast Antoinette in the role of Lily and adds Louis-stand-in and doesn't kill or turn Antoinette. Instead he continues a relationship with her as a human.
But I think Lestat's also realizing it won't make a difference, even if he has learned from his mistakes. I think his relationship with her devolves into a form of self-flagellation through her then. Because he can't turn back time and not turn Louis after only two weeks of knowing him, ease him into things so that Louis doesn't hate Lestat and himself for what they both are. So that he doesn't want to hurt himself and Lestat for what they both are.
I think Antoinette also ended up becoming a way to bridge the gap between Lestat's vampirism and his humanity to save his relationship with Louis when Louis became hard to reach, because Lestat stopped being able to read Louis' mind to understand him and because they didn't communicate well. And because Lestat kept making missteps that created an increasingly larger chasm between them.
Because that's one of the problems, although Lestat understood where Louis thought he went wrong enough to try to fix it I don't think Lestat fully understood why Louis thought certain decisions Lestat made were wrong, why Louis saw things the way he did. Lestat acts on instinct a lot, having been a vampire for as long as he's been by the time he meets Louis and having embraced it as he has. He just doesn't think about things the same way Louis does or at all.
He left Antoinette human as long as he did because it was beneficial to him, because it meant she could help him understand Louis' human side, to be a confidante and a sounding board, but it also genuinely offered a layer of protection to him and Louis for him to be seen with a woman when he and Louis were suspected to be lovers by the town.
Until of course it was more beneficial to have her as a vampire. And of course her love becomes a stand-in for the love he wishes he got from Louis, that he feels he could have gotten from Louis if he'd handled things differently with him.
The thing is, just like everything else in Lestat's mind his involvement with Antoinette is for Louis. It's just that Lestat being Lestat everything he does or thinks he does for Louis alone he's usually also doing for himself.
#iwtv#interview with the vampire#louis#lestat#antoinette#Antoinette is always a risky topic to broach#So here goes nothing#The thing to remember is that Antoinette was never truly a contender for Lestat's heart#But she did serve an important purpose nonetheless#One that had everything to do with Lestat trying to salvage his relationship with Louis as best he could#Of course cheating on someone who will think of it as cheating because they were recently human is never a good solution#Whatever deranged meanings goals and results you had initially attached to it#Lestat's problem solving skills aren't great when he's going crazy over Louis#Neither are Louis' when he's going crazy over Lestat#But together they are magic#When they're together and at their best suddenly they seem to have enough brain cells to take on the world again#I also can't help but think about the fact that Ernesto is an Italian performer#Isn't Lestat half-Italian?#How much of Lestat killing Ernesto had to do with Lestat seeing himself in him and either being envious of him#Or sometimes wishing that Magnus had killed instead of turned him

Okay, so i see everyone is posting their own opinion and analysis about Apology Tour, so wth, i'll give my two cents too about their arc, talking about Full Moon and what happened before then too. I am not able to summarise it and i just want to write about it freely, and probably no one will read this text wall and i actually have to split it into two post because it's too long for tumblr, lol. But here we go.
I think the premise should be: overall, Blitzø and Stolas both have their whole bunch of issues they need to work on and figure out, and a relationship or 'love' won't fix them. I think both of them did something wrong in the Full Moon exchange, but they also said things that needed to be said. It makes sense that Stolas is really hurt. The premise from where Stolas starts is that he is a monster who forced Blitzø to have sex with him through blackmail. When Blitzø acts like it's another sex thing, it means two things to Stolas: one, that Blitzø never cared about him, and two, it's a reminder of Stolas forcing him into their relationship. Than when Blitzø says his piece about royals not caring about imps, I think Stolas is hurt because he feels like while he sees Blitzø how the person he is, and likes him for him, Blitzø doesn't really see him. (Look my way, etc etc.) Is Stolas lacking self-awarenes about the mixed signals he sent in their relationship? Yes, very much. He feels guilty for the deal, and yeah, he should. But there's more to it. In most of s1, until the Ozzie episode, every time we see Stolas and Blitzø interact, Stolas talks down to him, with condescension, and every exchange is kinda framed by a suggestive/sexual roleplay thing of 'the prince and the imp.' When he invites him to the harvest festival, I think it is an excuse to spend time with him and to give Blitzø something other than sex, but he does it after the most cringe condescending talk ever. And I think it makes sense. Yes, Stolas has treasured that day when they were kids, and when he meets Blitzø again for the first time, he genuinely wants to catch up. But Blitzø was there just to steal the grimoire. And at this point, their one and only real interaction has been one day when they were kids. Stolas doesn't have feelings for Blitzø, he barely knows him. What Blitzø is for him at this point is the first man he slept with, his gay awakening and an experience that is really a turning point for him. The moment where he sees that maybe he doesn't have to keep trying to make his abusive and loveless marriage work, but he can go chase what he wants. Yeah, the deal is a shitty way to do it. He also has never asked for or got anything he wanted in his life, always had to just bear with what he was forced to deal with. And he has no reason to think Blitzø would want him. So, does Blitzø have a right to tell Stolas he's a pompous asshole? Yeah, he does. No, shouting it is not the best way to go about it, especially if you think Stolas is a domestic abuse survivor. And also, Stolas did act like a pompous asshole for the first months of their arrangement. I think Stolas didn't catch feelings first: Blitzø did. It shows in how flustered he gets when Millie suggests he and Stolas are together. Stolas did start to really like Blitzø, not only sexually, at a certain point: when he starts 'asking him how his day was, and commenting his photos, and laughing at his jokes' etc etc. He didn't do it from the very start: and this is realistic, he started to really know Blitzø after a while: they see each other once a month, of course it takes a minute. But when he starts showing he cares, he doesn't see that he behaved in a complete different way until then. Makes sense Blitzø is confused.

Some trans femme Draco early Drarry relationship & gender dysphoria surrounding sex
Harry and Draco start dating two years after Draco makes her second debut to society. Harry had been going through his divorce with Ginny when they met for the first time after Draco's long absence. Somehow Draco of all people had become someone for him to lean on as he figured out custody and assets and all the painful dealings that come with separating two entwined lives.
Draco still hasn't figured out how to permanently transfigure her dick into a vagina and it's a big insecurity for her. At this point in her journey she still believes that she must resemble a cis woman in every way to deem her transition "complete". It feels like a personal failure that she's been experimenting with this for so long and still hasn't figured it out.
The first time Harry asks why she keeps shying away from him when he tries to take things further, she has a bit of a breakdown. First she tearfully apologizes for "lying" to Harry and "fooling" him. Then she quickly turns to anger, claiming that he only wants her for sex and she won't whore for him. But just as fast she's begging him not to tell anyone that she isn't a "real" girl yet but she promises she's working on it and if he'll just give her time she'll fix everything.
The whole thing gives Harry whiplash and the poor man is just confused as hell. He keeps asking, "What do you mean not real?" "I'm not trying to pressure you, I'm sorry." But Draco is on a roll. It takes forever for her to tire herself out and when she does, she's mortified by her outburst and secrets herself away back to the Manor where Harry can't yet follow.
They don't have a real conversation about it until a few days later when Draco reaches out to apologize for her behavior. Harry says she doesn't need to apologize for anything but they do need to talk it out. So they do. It is a difficult and vulnerable conversation for both of them. Harry assures her that it doesn't make a difference to him what she has in her pants. Draco snaps that Harry isn't gay so it should, and Harry admits that while he hasn't handled a dick other than his own, he'll learn how because he wants to please his girlfriend.
Draco blushes horribly at that, going ruddy pink all the way down the neckline of her dress. She gets huffy and triteâwhich Harry knows means he's finally gotten through to herâand says, "Well. You won't be making any more indecent passes. Frankly, I can't even touch myself. To have another hand, even yours, would be unbearable."
"You mean you haven't gotten off in, what, years?"
Yeah. Not Harry's shining moment. He thinks he might be getting another few days of the silent treatment, but to his surprise, Draco smiles. "There are ways to get off without touching it directly. I am not a vestigial virgin."
Now Harry is the one blushing. He's never been good at innuendo or dirty talk. He decides, as always, directness is the best route. He leans forward and kisses his favorite spot at the crook of her neck. "Maybe one day you'll show me?"
"One day."

A Slow and Tender Love: Decision
For a while, Kurenai looked as if ready to hit him with one of the several toys Mirai had.
âWhy are men so stupid?â she sighed.
âI blame the testosterone.â
Obviously, his friend didnât want an answer to the question, judging by the glare she sent him the next second. They were sitting in her living room, Mirai sleeping in a soft blanket just a meter away from them. She looked peaceful, and the Hatake wished to be her, without any worry in his mind.
âLook, Kakashi, Iâm going to give you my honest opinion, because thatâs what I did with Gaiâ at the mention of that, his head lifted up in surprise. Just as he was about to open his mouth, she interrupted him: âNo, I wonât tell you what we talked about, the same way I wonât tell him about this conversation. Iâm not a delivery hawk, you have to figure out your shit alone.â
Great.
âAnswer me thisâ Kurenai continued after a minute. âWhat is that you want with Gai? A sexual relationship like the one you had before?â
âIt wasnât justâŚ!â
Except that it was. The Hatake didnât even need the judgmental look from his friend to know that saying otherwise would be a lie. If he separated the relationship he had with Gai in their rivalry and⌠anything else, most of their activities together âeating, talking about each other, exchanging advicesâ were done during a challenge. Which meant that the rest was just sex.
âI just⌠Donât understand what is suddenly the problemâ he all but mumbled. âWe had a good thing going, an easy thingââ
âEasy for who?â Kurenai rudely intervened. âFor you? Because it meant that you didnât have to think too much about it, or put a label to the relationship?â
He dutifully shut up after that. His friend sighed.
âKakashi, if what you truly want is just a sexual relationship with Gai, he already gave you his answer and you should respect it. However, if you wish for moreâŚâ
But, what did more mean?
Looking around, the Hatake tried to imagine how that conversation would be if Asuma was still alive. He would probably be sitting on the ground next to Mirai, eyes fixed on her with a love smile and for the first time in a long time without a cigarette in his lips. Or maybe he would be at the kitchen, preparing dinner. Later, once Kakashi left, Kurenai and him would sit on the sofa and enjoy a movie while their daughter slept in her crib. And, when one of them fell asleep, the other would carry them to bed.
Was that what Gai wanted? Was that what he wanted?
Having someone to hold or be held by in bed. Knowing that Gai would be at home with dinner ready for when he came back from the office. Or having his ninken running towards the door when Gai came back from a mission, glad that he was back because he was a member of the pack. Just⌠Whatever they had before but⌠more.
His heart skipped a beat.
âI think you have your answer, Hatakeâ Kurenai smiled.
He did. And it was troublesome. Because acknowledging it also meant to give himself a chance to something that, until then, he had only observed through othersâ eyes âMinato and Kushina, Kurenai and Asuma, even some of his students nowâ or read about in books. It was scary, even for a high skilled shinobi. But, after everything, he thought that he deserved an opportunity. And Gai did too.
Half an hour later, when Kakashi entered his house, he walked straight to the bookshelf next to bed. His collection had grown quite a bit during the last few years, mostly due to presents from his students or friends. And no, not all were erotic novels. In fact, just as Gai had pointed out, he had a rather large amount of romance books. So, he took out his favorites, found a paper and a pen on his desk, and started to work out some ideas.Â

3x12, Jamie edition, part 2.
Roy seeing Jamie and Keeley hugging, asking him out for a bear, letting Jamie fist bump him and suggesting he does this, being excited about spending time with Jamie. When early in the show Roy full on walked away from fist bumping and Jamie had to fist bump himself.
THE GROWTHHHH. I'm so happy for Jamie, honestly. I'm pretty sure Roy's posted was on Jamie's wall way before Keeley's one got there, so to be best friends with your childhood hero/crush... Good for you, Jamie. Good! for! you!
The different ways these two drink. I'm having Thoughts. Also, what are those dog tags, Jamie?
"Worth the wait." I'M HAVING THOUGHTS.
Fucking FINALLY. Tell him he's the best boy. Also, can't get over the looks Jamie always gives him. The never-ending puppy eyes with "Oh? Oh, for real? Ohhh my."
When will they finally kiss?
Older man, lmaoooo. Oh, Jamie. You wonderful, wonderful boy. The daddy kink can easily be a part of it.
Hey, you know how it looks like? "To you dying then." Look at them go.
Friendship? FRIENDSHIP? (stops myself from writing a fanfic right here and now) Oh, you are SO dating.
Roy, what are you, five? No, but for Real? Keeley deserves SO much better. He's insecure af, he tries to push Jamie away from her, he's crushing Jamie under this passive aggressive "She's mine, so don't even think about it."
If anything, if I were to choose from the inside of this triangle, it's Roy and Jamie for me. They WORK. It would fix so much if they kissed and explored each other's bodies. All that "All I need is Keeley & you stay away from here" would disappear.
However, if we're talking het ships (which I dislike but ok), it's Jamie and Keeley for me. I'd love Keeley with someone new. I'd LOVE to, with boys being together. But between Roy and Jamie. Jamie is SUCH a much bigger man than Roy. Jamie has done all the work since s1. No one held his hand, he's done all the work himself. He never ever hit on Keeley again despite all his love for her. He's been respectful of her wishes and never pushed himself on her or on Roy with "She's mine." If anything, he went with "I respect you and your relationship with Keeley" & stayed out of the way.
All Roy canonically does is pushing herself on her and on Jamie about her. Both Keeley and Jamie deserve better than an insecure man that can't get his head out of his ass. It's like one hookup, he went kind of normal, then he's back to his old ways again. Like???
I genuinely think you should have some gay sex. That would fix you a bit, Roy. I'm sure of it. Jfc. Is it me or is Roy incredibly weird this ep? What's with "She's a woman"??? What's that misogyny? You can't talk with a woman without thinking you're back on track to dating her? Keeley told you 'No" numerous of times.
Like, I'll tag it as anti Roy x Keeley, but I genuinely think shippers also should see it. Roy is regressing so fucking fast. You call this the man Keeley deserves? I don't fucking see it. "I don't want to be just friends." Well, she's not ready, why are you pushing so hard? Asshole.
See??? "I'm so insecure, but I'm pushing myself on her so hard, it's happening, we're getting back together, step aside!"
I want to beat Roy with a stick. Like, at actual tree stick, with leaves and all, so he'd understood what he's doing, that idiot.
Anyway, Jamie is such a sweet boy, immediately asking if they're official or not. He gets it.
You tell him, Jamie. Does this change anything for me in terms Roy x Jamie? No. Lol. But omg, I am still so anti Roy x Keeley, you guys. He should learn how to be alone and how to be a decent human being and how to treat people with respect.
I see only one child here & it's you, not Jamie. Grow up. No, tbf, they're both acting like kids, "I was with her first" â "I was with her last." But Roy is.... *deep sigh* My reaction to him is basically Jamie smacking lips and raising his eyebrows. Seriously, grow the hell up.
No but I think she should sit together, all three of them and talk. They don't actually consider what the woman in question wants. Maybe she wants neither of you. In the meantime, Roy and Jamie should kiss. They're going nowhere this way.
"She made that for me." I see hints of Roy getting physical & I swear to god, if he ever touches Jamie in the wrong way, just with one fucking finger, I am so fighting Roy. I can almost see Jamie waiting for the punch and for the need to defend himself. Jamie comes first, everything else comes second. Unless you're gonna kiss him and love him & cherish him, FUCK OFF.
Overall, even with how much I ship OT3, I'm tired of when it's presented like an actual triangle/two people running after one. This is seriously going nowhere & considering this might be our episode EVER, I dislike that very much. And them bickering like children? You guys should fix it.
Like, I had a feeling Roy might try to pull off something like this since he saw Jamie and Keeley hugging and got jealous but omg. *rolls eyes* Be a bigger man for once, will you, before calling Jamie a child?
P.S.:
This sounds SO much like a Phil's interview where he said that he wanted things with Keeley to go Jamie's way. Bc he feels all Jamie's victories and losses the same way Jamie feels.

Saying gay Mike would be hated by the ga bc that would mean that he used El all those years, is homophobic, just like saying bi-Mike would be hated by the ga bc that would mean he could have just stayed with El if he is also attracted to girls, is biphobic.
Bylers using either of these as the basis for why their interpretation is most likely to play out in canon, just makes me cringe bc why are we even wasting time giving validation to homophobia/biphobia as having the last word for how the show has to play out?? Is that what it all comes down to then? Appeasing bigots??
Gays arenât evil or trying to intentionally hurt others, least of all gay kids that are figuring out their sexuality. Letâs not act like being gay wasnât seen as being broken or needing to to be fixed, meaning that going along with what society views as normal, was and still is seen as the only option for queer people in general. And I say queer people in general bc you donât necessarily have to even be gay to experience questioning your sexuality and feeling like you have to do things because everyone else is. Arguably we all go through that! But especially gays in the 80âs bc for a lot of people back then, it was a matter of blending in to survive (for many it still is).
Bisexuals arenât evil or trying to intentionally hurt others for falling out of love, losing feelings, or just merely not being attracted to/compatible with someone of the opposite sex. Straight people are capable of recognizing that they arenât attracted to or compatible with every person they meet of the opposite sex. Does any of that make them less straight? No. So why is it so hard to understand itâs the same way for bisexuals and even queer people in general? Nobody, bisexual or otherwise should have to stay in relationships with someone they no longer have romantic feelings for, just bc theyâre attracted to them or even were just confused and thought they were but it ended up not being enough?? Attraction is important, yes, but feelings are arguably even more so (especially when you have something else to compare it to, causing the dilemma in the first place). I mean look at Stancy/Jancy? Is Nancy viewed as problematic for being attracted to Steve and having deep feelings/being attracted to Jonathan, and having conflicting feelings about that? No! And so why should it be problematic for Mike?
The reality is, homophobes are going to hate Mike if he comes out as queer, regardless of whether he is revealed to be gay, bi or unlabeled.
This is why basing Mikeâs sexuality on the backlash of bigoted audiencesâ is a moot point to me.
I mean, as it is, most of the general audience already hates Mike as a result of his behavior in s3-4, and this is straight Mike weâre talking about! Iâm obviously not referring to milkvans or Redditors, bc they only make up a minority of hardcore fans who hate byler and will defend Mike to the point of demonizing El. Iâm talking about viewers that have seen the show once through each time a new season releases and then move on afterwards without being in online spaces. That is the majority. The majority of the general audience, homophobic or otherwise, does not like Mike anyways at this point. So, who the hell cares what they think about queer Mike in the end??? Theyâre already anticipating going into s5 and continuing to dislike him, so the argument that the show canât do this or that bc those same people wonât like him?⌠That ship has already sailed.
If anything I could see the non-homophobic majority accepting queer Mike, regardless of what label he ends up identifying with, bc then at least it will finally give them some clarity about where that resentment they had for him was coming from, ie misunderstanding him completely and now finally getting some answers.
At the end of the day, bigots will do what they do best. Theyâll make up any reason they can think of for why queer Mike is wrong. And so why should we base our interpretation of things on what will be more palatable to those that the show was never intended for in the first place?
#byler#gay bi mike discourse#just another Thursday in the byler tag#being a âremains to be seenâ truther is hard#so many are dead set one way or the other#and I just canât defend ppl that have to shit on one to defend the other#like Iâll see a bi Mike take and be like I LOVE THIS but then itâll end with something homophobic and itâs like ok nvm#like I just donât see a need to tear down gay mike to get back at the problematic gay mike truthers#leave him out of it đ#seeing homophobia/biphobia doesnât mean you get a free pass to inflict that hate casually#two wrongs donât make a right in this scenario#Iâm an I love mike wheeler no matter what he comes out as truther till the end#and Iâm willing to entertain evidence that exists out there for both#but itâs hard to support both sides when at times it comes with this cloud of homophobia/biphobia#bc I just canât subscribe to that#and when/if mike is revealed to be gay/bi/unlabeled#please donât be hurtful to others that ended up being wrong#like⌠itâs just so gross out here sometimes#weâre all real people outside of this space letâs try to remember that#letâs make this space one thatâs worthwhile for those that want to be apart of this community#otherwise itâll cease to exist bc no one will want to be here

Love Mate Eps 7 & 8 (Finale) Stray Thoughts
Last week, Yi Jun and Ha Ram began pre-dating in earnest. Yi Jun wanted to see if he could properly care for someone again, so they slowed things down to get to know each other more. I loved it, because some relationships, especially gay ones, start physical and then the emotional work of getting to know the other gets skipped in lieu of sex. Yi Jun changed his entire project at work in light of his new relationship, but now it seems that the team wants to hire Yi Jun's cruel ex as the spokesperson and model for their project.
Episode 7
Ah, their first big difficulty. Yi Jun is pretending he's fine, but he's clearly not.
I don't like that knowing look DK gave Seo Yi Jun.
Work wife has a name! It's Jin Eun Sun.
This DK guy thinks he's slick, using his past history to sell his involvement and simultaneously trying to convince Yi Jun that he sees what he did to him now. I don't trust him.
I'll forgive Yi Jun for retreating into himself because he's just being distant, he still let Ha Ram hug him at work, and is considering telling Ha Ram what happened.
I'm mad at these flowers DK tried to give Yi Jun, because if he knew his tastes this well, and wanted to find him for three years, why would he break up in such a cruel way. It also looks like Yi Jun hasn't moved??
I liked the different levels of anger, offense, and disgust Cho Hyun Min conveyed as Yi Jun when DK was trying to lay on the charm. I like that DK is genuinely charming and laying it on thick, because that's how Ha Ram started as well. I like when a show adds context to earlier reticence by having an ex show up and use similar behaviors.
Okay, letting Ha Ram fall behind in the frame was a clever way to highlight the growing distance between them right as they get into a small fight about this. Ha Ram is not going to reveal that he already knows, and Yi Jun is rebuilding the original walls he had.
You better come through, Writer Jin Eun Sun!! She's the only one Ha Ram could talk to, and she said you better talk to your man! Someone get her a plate!
This studio knows how to use their limited time well. Having DK try to show that he's done the emotional work on himself by detailing all the ways Yi Jun took care of him works so well. We get to feel aghast as the cruel way he ended things with all of these reveals, and it cleverly places us with Ha Ram right after when DK seemingly won't take no for an answer.
OOO, classic yaoi framing. Putting Yi Jun between the two guys pursuing him as the final shot was a great choice.
Episode 8
He's his lover! Claim it!
Choosing neither of them is in line with Yi Jun, unfortunately. The writing is top-notch on this show. He tells DK he owes him nothing, and chides Ha Ram for being rude, before dismissing both of them.
That was an incredible break up scene. These are almost never good, but Yi Jun wanting to quit because he felt embarrassed by both guys pursuing him makes so much sense. His feelings for Ha Ram are new, and I totally get him backing off after being made to feel like a damsel or prize. Cooking a relationship because you feel like you can't commit to it is the choice we say people should make sometimes, so I'm excited to see how Yi Jun turns this around for himself.
Choosing DK is probably the right choice professionally, but it comes at the cost of connection. They're making a project about love and connection, so I doubt this will work.
Oh, I'm really glad Ha Ram and Yi Jun heard DK's conversation. We don't have enough time for just Ha Ram to know. Unfortunately, Yi Jun is just going to take it.
I do like that their manager worried about Seo Yi Jun when he didn't show up to work, knowing that was unusual.
I like Ha Ram a lot. You can't fix people's problems all the time, but you can love them even when they're being a bit mean to you until they find themselves again. "If it's hard to do this alone, I'll stay with you."
When Ha Ram said, "Expressing and receiving emotions is difficult for me, too," it made me think about the aggressive use of tropes earlier. We love tropes, because they're a way for us to understand the characters and their intentions. We like the ritualistic nature of them, but they don't always work because they're not always aligned with what the characters or even the audience wants out of the story. Yet we use them still, because we understand what they're trying to convey.
I don't think either of them is awful, but I like them giving themselves permission to make mistakes with each other.
I feel like I need to ping @respectthepetty because I feel like I'm seeing something with DK wearing red in this scene after using blue and mixed black and white earlier.
Sometimes you don't need words. Sometimes you just need to throw a drink in someone's face.
He set their photo from the wedding shoot as his background. I love this man.
Yi Jun's enamored smile as Ha Ram walks down in this suit is fantastic. Good job with this crew showing a brooding character finding his sunshine again.
Let me tell you, I go feral for the second, deeper kiss after the first one every time.
Oh good we're back in the boyfriend shirts for the domestic scene.
I like not showing DK again or any of the people cast for their program. It doesn't matter if DK did his job or not. He no longer has control over Seo Yi Jun.
Final Verdict: 9.5, Highly Recommended. This is our third outing with Studio Winsome, following My Sweet Dear and Our Dating Sim, and I think they may be on to something here. @shortpplfedup teases me for being a cynic because I always love the sad gays, and SHE IS RIGHT. I always go hard on the shows where a gay character has suffered and gets the chance to find happiness. This one is a little bit headier than Our Dating Sim, so I'm taking half a point; I felt like I needed to trust them to do something with the aggressive use of tropes earlier, and I'm glad it paid off. This team, more than any other Korean team, seems to understand how to maximize their limited time. I'm deeply impressed.

I would love to get into how the Hayes code has affected the makeover trope and how much I hate the fucking makeover trope. and I will, I will get into it.
First of all, the makeover trope is exactly what this is talking about, a character deemed ugly gets "fixed" in a makeover. it's not just this but this is a big part. It's in the Princess Diaries, the end of The Breakfast Club, Mean Girls, Do Revenge, A League of Our Own (movie, it's referenced in the show but not actually there), and so much more.
there are also times when there's a good makeover which is when the makeover is with the express intent of empowerment and giving a character a self-esteem boost without actually changing who they are. like in Legally Blonde the Musical with Emmet, Cinderella (depending on the version), Miss Congeniality, and a few others I can't really think of rn. I'm not talking about those ones those makeovers are great.
The Hayes Code was a set of self-censorship rules that many big motion picture studios followed to avoid government censorship. It required that all sin be punished by the end and defined sin as including: anything against the law, references to "perverse" sex or interracial relationships, profanity with words such as "gawd" and "hell" or using Jesus' name in vain. (this is how we got the bury your gays trope btw, they were being punished. it's also how we got queercoding cause that was the only way to make queer rep without killing them off or something)
anyways, it stated that the line between good and bad should never be blurred and good should always be attractive and bad unnatractive. And part of how a lot of motion pictures make sure the bad stuff was unnatractive was by taking that literally. villains get visible disabilities and scars and stuff, heroes are picture perfect model citizens. Underdogs start off with frizzy hair, glasses, and little fashion taste and can't be heroes until they lose the glasses, straighten their hair, put on makeup, and get a new wardrobe.
There's a lot of implications here for most all representation of marginalized groups, especially disabled representation, but I'm gonna stick with the queer bits.
Anything that seemed queer had to be shown as bad, otherwise it wouldn't pass the Hayes Code rules. any gender-nonconformity could not be shown because that is very much so associated with queerness. tomboys would be seen as lesbians and femboys as gay, so it's not allowed unless they get bad endings, like being killed off. There was plenty of queercoding, to try to get representation anyway, but most people would still pick up on stereotypical stuff like gender-noncomformity. so to stick with the code, if that character was going to have a good ending they had to get a makeover.
So anytime you see a queer-coded or "ugly" or alternative in any way character end up resembling a sterotypical model citizen more than how they were literally 30 min ago, this is why, they're portraying that character's differences as bad. and the Hayes Code hasn't been enforced for like 50 years so if it's more recent than that they might be doing it intentionally.
so yeah, fuck the hayes code and fuck the makeover trope.
every story that has a tomboy get "fixed" and find true love is fucking crime against humanity. she's not embracing her inner femininity, she wasn't suppressing it out of insecurity. you just hate all that's good in the world.

Marry Me AU, Part 1
After having my celebrity au plot bunny yesterday, I went and bought Marry Me on prime just so I could supercorpify it. It was pretty charming. And while I could see either arrangement of characters re: who plays who (especially Kara vs Lena being the celebrity), I'm leaning towards Lena being the famous singer.
So, Lena is a performer at the peak of her career. She's on all the socials, basically lives her entire life on camera. She's incredibly popular and does astounding sales, but due to a family scandal within the music industry, she's never been so much as nominated for an award.
She's had a number of marriages already-- a brief 24hr speedrun to divorce with her best friend Jack, before they both realized they were very much too gay to handle a whole ass marriage to each other.
Her longest relationship has been with Veronica. It's duration was mostly a result of Lena trying to perpetually salvage their relationship despite not really being truly happy. This marriage ends when Veronica purposefully leaks a sex video. Even then, Lena had tried to fix things, until her friends staged an intervention and basically conked her over the head with the truth.
Her currently relationship is poised on the brink of a highly publicized marriage to Andrea Rojas, another singer who is a star in her own right (though is more popular in the latin/south america circles). They release a song together called Marry Me, along with an announcement that they will be exchanging vows onstage during a joint concert.
Meanwhile, Kara Danvers is an absolute beefcake of a teacher at a local school. She regularly cares for her niece Esme, as the girl's mothers both work late hours. One day, her coworker Nia has spare tickets to the nuptial concert of Lena Luthor and Andrea Rojas. She convinces Kara to bring Esme for a night out watching Esme's fave vocal artists perform and get hitched.
At the concert, Nia has a big sign saying Marry Me, which she soon passes off to Kara so she can facetime her boyfriend Brainy to show him the fun he's missing. What Kara doesn't know is that moments before Lena is set to come on stage to perform the concert's eponymous song (and marry the love of her life), the tabloids share a video of Andrea cheating on Lena with Lena's assistant, Eve.
She steps on stage still trying to process, while Andrea stays hidden, knowing she can't show her face. So Lena has to hold the audience's attention--in her wedding dress-- alone, even as her heart breaks in her chest. She gives a faltering, tearful speech, kind of communicating what happened, but kind of not.
"But you came here for a wedding," she tells the audience, but half to herself. She looks out across the audience, and sees Kara standing there with the Marry Me sign. She almost breaks down right there, when Kara offers a nervous, but supportive smile.
In an instant, Lena makes a decision that she really should have taken more time to think about.
"Yes," she says, eyes still locked on Kara. "Yes, I will marry you."
Kara is confused, having totally forgetten what her sign read. Her confusion only escalates when suddenly the live feed playing behind the stage shows her face instead of Lena's.
"Come up here, please."
With the entire crowd and her own friend and niece encouraging her towards the stage, Kara obliges, accepting a security guard's hand up onto the stage.
The next thing she knows, Kara is standing in front of the most beautiful woman she's ever seen, wearing the most beautiful gown she's ever seen, while a stranger starts to officiate the vows. But Kara can barely hear them. Her entire focus is encapsulated by the hurt she see's in Lena's eyes, the way the woman's throat works to keep herself from crying openly.
Kara would do anything to ease that hurt.
"And do you, uh, ma'am, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
It takes a long moment for Kara to realize the officiant is talking to her, which only clicks when she hears pre-teen Esme shout her name from the crowd.
"Come on, Aunt Kara!"
Kara's gaze flicks to the massive crowd beyond the stage, then back to the pop star whose hands she's holding.
"O-okay," she utters.
"Okay-- yeah, we'll take that! I now pronounce you wife and wife!"
The crowd erupts into applause. Kara turns towards the audience when Lena does, and gives a shy little wave that's met with a massive roar of approval. Soon, though, she and Lena are both ushered off stage, and Kara simply follows Lena as the star bustles through past the backstage area and into the corridors beyond, collecting her entourage as she goes.
Only one is expelled on sight.
"Lena! Lena, please let me explain--" A blonde woman is cut off from approaching Lena by a tall brunette who appears to be Lena's manager.
"Get her away from me," Lena chokes out, refusing to so much as look at the petite woman. But the next interception of the party she can't avoid.
Just around the first corner, their retinue all but collides with another.
All of a sudden, Lena is wrapped up in a pair of long arms, holding her close as she murmurs rapidfire Spanish in Lena's ear. Kara doesn't catch anything beyond "escuchame," which leads her to believe that the woman is in fact the person who caused the hurt she'd seen in Lena's eyes on stage, and that she is now whispering excuses.
Her hunch is proven right when Lena shoves away from the woman, who Kara now understands is Andrea Rojas. "Don't touch me," Lena seethes, her fluent spanish smooth despite her anger.
"You just married the first woman you laid eyes on?" Andrea fires back. "How could you--?"
"You don't get to ask me that," Lena snaps back, hiking up her skirts to march off in the opposite direction.
When Andrea grabs her arm roughly to spin Lena back around, the growing tension in both women causes Kara to step in.
With one deft move she twists Andrea's grip off of Lena's arm. She releases the woman's wrist as soon as contact is broken, then plants herself defensively in front of Lena.
"Let's keep our hands to ourselves," she says in English. Her hands are up in a placating gesture, but her tone brooks no argument.
Andrea looks her up and down with a sneer, before craning her neck to address Lena over Kara's shoulder.
"And who is this puta? You don't even know her name, do you?"
Lena is done. She turns away, giving her mamager a desperate look. "Get me out of here."
Kara makes to follow as the group starts to move, but watches Andrea closely to ensure she doesn't make another move to stop them.
"Lena! Come on!" The tall Latina calls, her voice ringing down the corridor. "You're making a fool of yourself!"
Lena freezes, and her entourage does as well. But it's Lena's manager who turns and stalks back towards Andrea, eyes blazing.
"No," the woman says. "You're the one who did that."
With that, the group starts moving again. Kara trails behind Lena, somehow absorbed into the circle of security around her. Cameras of the paparazzi flash as she helps a tearful Lena into a black SUV, then climbs in after her.
Once the door closes on them, the interior is quiet, providing a false sense of peace. They ride in silence for long minutes, as Kara wiped her damp palms on her pants and struggles to find something to say.
"I'm sorry this all happened to you," she finally settles on. She risks a glance at Lena's profile, and her heart breaks to see the artist isn't even quiet. She simply seems... resigned. "You didn't deserve that."
Lena scoffs. "How do you know what I deserve?"
"Well, there's the fact that no one deserves to be hurt the way she hurt you," Kara starts, "but there's also the fact that you just married a total stranger so you wouldn't disappoint your fans."
There's no response to that.
"I know we don't really know each other that well, but what you did tells me that you're a kind person."
Lena's eyebrows lift in a shrug, before her features settle into a somber expression.
"If only that were enough."
Eventually they pull into the parking garage of a tall skyscraper, and Kara watches as Lena slides awkwardly from her seat, a move hampered by her wide poofy dress.
"Hey." Kara leans towards the open door as Lena turns around to face her. She looks exhausted now, drained by the heartache and the events of the night. Kara offers what she hopes is a reassuring smile. "You going to be okay?"
Lena doesn't answer her question.
"Freddie will take you home."
But Kara isn't quite ready to say goodbye. "Wait," she calls, before Lena can turn away. She takes a deep breath. "I'm Kara."
Finally, the corners of Lena's mouth lifts an infinitesimal amount.
"Good night, Kara."

(Last ask got cut off on my end, this isn't spam lol) What I was trying to say was, HB and HH get all this blind praise for its- really bad representation of LGBTQ+ characters. The only trans character is fetishized, yet Viv is treated like this hero for trans rep. Stolitz (the main gay ship) has the plot-line of a yaoi fanfic. Angel Dust (the supposed positive gay rep) is literally a walking stereotype of not just gay men, but sex workers as well. Alastor (the aro/ace 'rep') is just the classic serial killer who's too in love with himself to ever love anyone else. Not to mention the whole 'spooky-ooky voodoo' thing he has is straight up disrespectful to the religion. But ironically, the straight couple(s), including Moxxie and Millie AND Lilith and fucking Lucifer live this fairy-tale dreamworld and the only good rep from the show is literally from background characters or a one off character we'll probably never see again. Wanted to know how you think Stolitz should be re-worked (if it can be saved atp. It's hopeless as of now) Along with how you think Alastor can be good representation if the effort is put into him.
Agreed with everything here. So sorry for the late reply, just a message to all my followers real quick, keep in mind guys that if you send me something, Iâll get to you in time! I get a lot of asks, so itâs hard to keep track sometimes, but I havenât forgotten you! đ
Also yes, I do believe Stolitz can be saved, but of course things would need to change. Now I donât mean on a rewriting standpoint, but I do mean justâŚ.moving forward. To make a long story short, what Stolas needs to do is get his shit together. He needs to acknowledge and FULLY own up to what he did, how badly he treated Blitz, and how he couldnât make his daughter his priority. He was selfish, possessive, and toxic, and honestly he just needs to figure out what love IS because he clearly doesnât know how to treat a partner. The show also really needs to start doing some actual GOOD storytelling, I want to see why exactly Stolas fell in love with Blitz, what impact he had on him, and why he pins onto him so much. The show failed at making me feel like Stolas felt any genuine feelings towards Blitz, and because of that I donât even want the two together because thereâs nothing to go OFF of, thereâs justâŚno chemistry outside of them meeting once as kids, and then fucking, and thatâs the major problem, but like I said, this can be saved, so long as Stolas admits his faults and actually WORKS to be better. On a realistic standpoint, Stolas should honestly just leave Blitz alone, figure things out for himself, tend to his family and take time alone, because I honestly donât think heâs ready for a relationship, until he fixes himself. Thatâs why I would HOPE that from what weâve seen in episode 1 of season 2, Stolas gives Blitz an Asmodeon crystal, and cuts ties with him until further notice. I would love this idea, it would show us the first step example of Stolas actually trying to better himself. And speaking of Blitz, he needs to do the same thing. Cut ties with Stolas, and get his shit together. The problem is just that both these characters are just horrible people who need to admit their faults and work on being better, THEN they should see if theyâre able to be in a relationship. The problem isâŚ.that when it comes to how Blitz sees Stolas, the show through storytelling has done nothing but show that he doesnât like him, and feels trapped, only screwing him for Lust and pity. Itâs honestly safe to say that as a writer, Vivzie has fucked up multiple times when it comes to their relationship. Every time she has a chance to improve it, she makes it worse, and with season 2 episode 2 being the recent episode, it can only go further downhill from here. Again, thereâs still a chance to improve this moving forward, but I feel like the only way to do that is for Stolas to just give Blitz the crystal and focus on himself for a bit.
As for Alastor, Iâm going to be 100% honest, I donât really think his asexuality needs to be explored in the show. Not that I have anything against that because I donât, itâs just think that with a character like Alastor, is there really a need to explore it? With a writer like Vivzie, I personally always felt like she never had the intention to. I feel like her idea for his character was just that he was obsessed with himself and too focused on other things to be in a relationship, and thatâs it, no double meaning regarding sexuality. It felt more like she labeled him as ace because she wanted representation points, when she easily could have said âheâs obsessed with himself because heâs a homicidal maniac serial killerâ and just leave it at that, it would have made sense and I wouldnât have batted an eye because it fits with his character. Meanwhile fans always made his asexuality a big deal and I never understood it. For a character like Angel, I get it, because he wasnât allowed to be himself during the 40âs and is now openly gay in hell, but Alastor? Why would I care about this man being ace, whoâs literally a serial killer thatâs probably murdered thousands of souls and is one of the most feared beings in hell? Whoâs also clearly mentally insane? I dunno, yâall can disagree with me on this, but this is just my opinion. People also call Al good ace representation and LmaoâŚ.no? Go look at Todd from Bojack Horseman, THATâS good ace rep, Alastor only feels ace to me because heâs a dick who only likes himself. However please again keep in mind that these are my opinions, if youâre happy thereâs an Ace character in the show, thatâs 100% okay! As for Alastor and the voodoo stuff being disrespectful, I canât really speak on this subject because I donât have the proper knowledge, so Iâm not saying I disagree, I just canât speak on the subject lol.

âIf you want to romance [same sex love interest], just roll a[n opposite sex] PC! Youâre so greedy to want [additional romance option] when you already have [singular same-sex romance option]! Some people are just straight and you should just deal with it! You should respect the WRITERâS VISION!â
Not that itâs news, but dear. GOD. do I hate it when people start arguing this shit. Because really. Do you think that itâs news that âsome people are just straightâ? How the fuck is it greedy to want to have even the little bit of a crumb that ONE more same-sex romance option would offer, when the slice of pie that heterosexuals get is 99% of the whole damn thing? Why do I have to give up a part of my identity to play the romance that connects to me?
And you know, sometimes, that really is the kicker for me. That so many people just donât seem to get the power and importance of experiencing a story in a way that validates your identity is. And itâs generally because they donât NEED that validation.
I mean, I think back to my first play of Jade Empire, the first game I played that even HAD a same-sex romance option. And looking back on it from nearly fifteen years after that first run, I can tell you, it is VERY flawed as a result of that whole âthe game came out in 2005, same-sex romance is still something that inherently gets the M ratingâ side of things. But despite all the reason I have from todayâs perspective to say âthis isnât as good as it could have been if it had been released a few years later,â itâs still one of those things that just inherently makes me feel SEEN.
So why do I have to sacrifice that, just to get the romance option who fits right with me? Straight people ALWAYS get to be seen - hell, usually, they donât even QUESTION when a romance is default into the story. Iâve never seen the straights argue that, say, Ezioâs relationship with Sofia is shallow, or that we donât know enough about a character like Randvi. Straight people didnât argue that there really wasnât much reason for Starkiller to fall so in love with Juno that heâd just automatically go back for her on the Ecliptic. Marioâs motivation is so often Princess Peach, and no one asks for the relationship to be developed, itâs accepted as just a default THING. To say nothing of how many games offer optional flings, but, if they even allow same-sex encounters, which is no guarantee, the male options are significantly fewer, so itâs clear that the expectation is that a male PC is taking every woman around them to bed, not that gay people are playing.
Or, sticking to BioWare, the straights donât mind that Liara is shoved at Shepard every chance BioWare can arrange, her relationship with Shepard emphasized over all others. Leliana has a romance mechanic so obtuse that offering her kind words can get you locked in. Both have instances of bugs where thereâs an assumption of romance, and no effort has ever been made to fix them (leading me to want to put the word âbugsâ in quotes...). Peebee sits on Ryder for an uncomfortably long time and unless Ryderâs played a romance through to its conclusion beforehand, will explicitly offer a hook up with Ryder.
Or we have a game like Cyberpunk, where Panam has no real, clear cut âIâm not interestedâ option, with a lot of assumption that a male V is romancing her from everyone around them. Meanwhile, the one gay romance in that game is not only gated behind so much in the way of progression barricades, you could be forgiven for missing him entirely, AND is framed in a way that has him still hung up on Johnny over anything else.
And thereâs the fact that itâs ALWAYS same-sex romance content that gets cut. How many times have we heard about â[character] was going to be a same-sex romance, but we had to make cuts for timeâ? Saying nothing of things like Jacob and Jackâs same-sex romances getting cut in ME2 because of negative press from freaking Fox News...
But no. Itâs always us gays who are being greedy, being demanding, being ungrateful because we didnât HAVE to be included, and itâs just... You people just canât seem to conceive of the fact that people not like you have to fight and drag every moment of representation we get on screen.
And they donât listen, either. All the explanation I just poured out here, if I repeated it to any of the people who hurl this shit at any of us angry queers complaining, theyâd tune out before I finished my first paragraph.
This is all just so EXHAUSTING.
