"Staron is Marvel's Clois" They aren't even the Clois of Steve's romantic interests in comics. Put some damn respect on OG Betty Ross' name.
#brieuc.txt#Sorry I got a tag that is pissing me off particularly as I'm reading Golden Age because Betty Ross is very clearly similar to Lois#She's a tough reporter who keeps getting into danger trying to get the truth who loves Captain America but dislikes Steve#And she has a fierce attitude and carries a gun and is overall a very charming character I like her a lot#but anyway if ANY Steve ship would be like Clois it would be him and Betty. Not Sharon like please do not say these words to me

Okay so one of the Marvel Golden Age characters who hasn't really lasted the test of time is Father Time, which has an irony to it. But anyway, in his first appearance he looks like this, right?

Captain America Comics V1 #6
And this is like a silly, stupid outfit, but uhm. in his next appearance he makes a few.... choice changes to it.

Captain America Comics V1 #7
I mean... good for him but I have so many questions.

In his first appearance he gives a cab driver the equivalent of 110 dollars in today's money and then makes him see the face of God by making his cab go hundreds of miles an hour. He could have just ran himself he didn't need to do this shit.
Captain America Comics V1 #1

Okay so this guy gets retconned to be Makkari but at the moment he's a guy named Hurricane aka Harry Kane who is the son of Thor but cousin to the Olympian gods? I don't really know but I'm kind of obsessed with him because he isn't really a hero he's just bothering guys. Anyway his new sidekick is called Solidius X Scrigcles which is an insane fucking name.

Commandos and how likely I think they are to smoke weed
Nick Fury Sr → Would smoke weed, but only communally if a friend offers. Nick himself would do cocaine way more but he has been known to smoke from time to time.
Dum Dum → Would try it out once but I honestly don't think he would have a good time about it and excuses himself whenever someone starts rolling.
Dean Martin → He's Dean Martin need I say more
Izzy Cohen → Like Nick, only really smokes weed with friends but does so more regularly than Nick does on account of he's a chiller and better person to be around while high than Nick. Also would do mushrooms I think.
Gabe Jones → Absolutely and he is the most normal about it of all of them. He's the guy everyone wants to smoke with he has the perfect background music for it and he's overall a very pleasant person to get high with.
Percy Pinkerton → No, but he definitely has taken like, a lot of cocaine in his day.
Eric Koenig → I firmly believe he is NOT a stranger to the Berlin club scene. He's kind of stressful for most of the Commandos to get high with because he's very high energy and volatile and is capable of those insane multi day benders and everyone else is like hey man. calm down.
Rebel Ralston → He's from money he's a jockey from the 1940s where there ain't NO drug testing and he's a politician in the 1960s. He's done all sorts of shit I absolutely think Eric has been "Me and you should take a trip to Holland sometime! 😊 I think you'd really like the atmosphere" and then they both drop off the face of the planet earth for like a couple of months before Nick is like okay I have to find them and make sure they're not dead in a ditch somewhere.

Like Golden Age Namor looks off to a truly comical degree. He looks fucking bizarre and we all love him.

Golden Age Human Torch meanwhile looks pretty good. They finished cooking him. They know what Jim looks like.

Golden Age Vision kind of looks like anti-Asian caricatures of the era which is kind of confusing but that's okay. Diversity ???? But Vision looks fine for the most part.

And it's probably just because Steve is the most known out of the Golden Age Heroes and has appeared in the most comics after this time period but Golden Age Steve just doesn't look right yet and I'm baffled by it. I do genuinely really like it but it is so odd. His legs are too long his face isn't right his hair is too dark and curly his eyes are too deep set and stern. But something about him speaks to me..............
Something also weird about Golden Age Steve is that they haven't quite figured out how to draw him. Like the costume is the same, they nailed his costume first try, but they didn't quite know how to draw it or him yet so he looks a little... off.

Like he isn't quite muscular yet. He's very long and lanky. He's always smoking that damn pipe. His face isn't quite Steve's yet. He feels like a caterpillar who hasn't quite turned into a butterfly yet he looks like he hasn't finished cooking. He's a little raw. But I'm charmed by him, this strange long man.
