This is my first edit I made today. In this edit, Elsa is shown crossing the Dark Sea and battling the Nokk. I really struggled to cut the different Elsa positions because the pics are so dark but I managed it! I love the result!

At All Costs (Snowflake Version) - Chris Pine & Idina Menzel
Art I commissioned from Frost_Art on Instagram.
LYRICS UPDATED: 1/13/2025
*DISCLAIMER: These lyrics are fan-made lyrics of a song created and owned by Disney for characters that are owned by both Disney and Dreamworks respectively . No money is being made off of this. This was solely written for recreational purposes.*
Context: This is set during Frozen II, in the middle of the Dark Sea scene. They’ve barely survived the Nokk, and Jack is the most upset he’s ever been. Elsa left him behind not once, but twice. The first when they left Kristoff and Sven behind, and the second when she sent Olaf and Anna away. Not only that, she recklessly runs into the Dark Sea, and that’s not mentioning his fear of water. Coupled with the fear of being sent away, and not feeling like he has a place in Arendelle, he’s really struggling to prove his worth without being selfish.
Love is selflessness, and he has taken that to heart since the events of Frozen 1, where he abandoned Elsa before her parents died, and he did everything in his power to make up for it when she finally sees him again. However, it doesn't always work in the right way. So he’s desperately trying to not be what he perceives to be selfish, for being selfish is what almost lost him his best friend in the first place, and he is deeply afraid of losing his new family. Of losing Elsa.
But somewhere along the way, whether he understands or want to admit it or not, things changed. Jack sees Elsa differently, just as she started to in her late teens, but kept quiet due to what happened and out of respect to her friend, also because she's not sure she understands it either.
They argue in the Dark Sea, telling her he doesn't want to lose her, but right as Jack’s about to say what he actually wants, he relents, saying what he wants doesn’t matter. Elsa doesn’t accept that. Once they get to safety, she tells him what he wants matters to HER.
And he tells her he wants to stay with her forever. That he sees her the way Kristoff does to Anna. But time, fate, what have you, makes it seem like no matter what he does, he can’t. But still, he wants to be with her regardless. Because she is his destiny. And being with her makes him feel better, and whole.
So then he starts singing. And so does she. And for the first time since entering the Enchanted Forest, they're on the same page. Better now than ever before.
Sing = Siiing
-
(VERSE 1)
J: If destiny is a set-in-stone thing,
Mine would be you.
If you'd have told me the feelings you'd bring,
I'd think them untrue.
Yet I never thought I’d meet someone like you.
Not in this life.
You still amaze me after all this time.
(PRE-CHORUS)
You… pull me in like some kind of wind,
Steer me through all the doubts within,
Make me brave enough to tell ya...
…That I…
(CHORUS)
Love you as one does.
I, I would protect you
At all costs.
Keep you safe here in my arms.
I, I will protect you
At all costs.
At all costs.
(VERSE 2)
E: How to say… the words that I wish to convey?
That I want this, too. Even if I tried to,
I can’t go back to life before you.
If someone tried to stop this, there’s no
Way I’d let that happen.
I'd fight for us in ways you can't imagine.
I’ve felt this once before, so I hope
It would be alright to stand right here and tell you…
(CHORUS)
B: I love you as one does.
I, I will protect you
At all costs.
Hold you right here in my heart.
I, I will protect you
At all costs!
At all costs!
(BRIDGE)
If you're ever feeling like you're lost,
I’ll come find you!
Man all fronts! There's no ocean I won't swim across
To be right by you!
And not just once. Here and now, I swear on my response,
I'll remind you…
(FINAL CHORUS)
I love you as one does.
I, I will protect you
At all costs!
Face the storm, and all the odds!
I, I will protect you
At all costs!
At all costs.
(END)

Debated whether or not to do this after posting the Jack Frost This Is The Thanks I Get?!, and finally hearing this for the first time. I got giddy, as this is definitely one of the top songs from the Wish soundtrack, and it struck me as odd that the villain, who in the movie was married, and the protagonist would sing something that sounded... well, romantic.
After seeing Wish for the context of it, and later discovering the Demo Version, learning that it WAS originally written as a love song, well... I had to go back and tweak my original draft.
@doodlemel's Animatic of them singing this song definitely didn't help, either. XD
I had to tweak bits that weren't making sense for Jack to say, especially parts that Magnifico said in the movie that kinda hinted to his more flawed persona. Because Jack is a good guy, but also someone who has never experienced these kinda feelings before, as well as also dealing with a lot of mistakes and trauma that influence his perception of whether or not his feelings are genuine, and whether he has a right to feel these feelings.
Elsa, for her part. is more straightforward, remarkably. Because I headcanon that she fell in love first, but Jack was being Shonen Protagonist oblivious to it. And by the time he started feeling a spark of something similar, stuff had already happened between them that they needed to clear up. But her feelings for him never really went away, even if she got better at hiding them. So when she hears him FINALLY admit that he feels the same way, she doesn't have to hide anymore. She lets him say his piece, and responds in kind.
Ultimately, I didn't really change much but the first parts where they sing, and parts of the choruses. Especially the “love” parts, as I just HAD to incorporate the original Demo Version into it. It's telling a sort of story. Of them slowly synchronizing once more, and finally ending with them being of one mind and heart.
For to love on a spectrum that has both beings as one, in my opinion, is truly a beautiful thing.

Ten Moana (2) and Elsa (Frozen II) parallels
1. They both learn about an evil that has happened in the past, in the form of a curse, that needs them to fix, or a great crisis will come upon their land/people.
2. They both head off into the unknown to find out what lies beyond. Coupled with a big solo "I want" song. Which has visual parallels:
3. They are both warned of their death if they try to fix the problem, and they both end up dying.
4. They both get resurrected and are now possibly god-level / immortal.
5. They both have cute animal sidekicks.
6. They both have younger sisters. Their younger sisters are similar (referring to little Anna)
7. They both need the water spirit to help them. (well, Elsa had to defeat the Nokk first)
8. They both meet the spirit of a deceased family member who is very dear to them. (OK, it happened in Moana 1 too)
9. They do not have love interests.
10. They're both gorgeous.

I couldn't put them in the tourney since they're not from anime, but I've been falling back into one of my earliest hyperfixations lately, so... here's an appreciation post for Disney Princess horses.

#not poll related#disney princess#dp#disney princess horses#disney princess enchanted stables#disney princesses#it's not every horse associated w/ disney princess media#cuz unfortunately i have not read and/or experienced every single dp-related paratext out there#but i tried to include the most prominent ones at least imo#i didn't put any of the palace pet ponies though... because i don't really care for them#also mentioned in the image but there are a Loooot of horses from tv disney princess media like spinoff shows#and originals like elena and sofia... so many they could probably make their own post#i only decided to include fidella because she's like. the other main horse besides max in tts#and rapunzel defaults to riding her pretty often. even though im fairly certain she's cass' horse#anyway. that's enough disney horse brainrot for now lol

Disney Horses
Disney has never tried doing a franchise focused on their equine characters, and I am disappointed. So here is a partial compilation of Disney horses--namely the ones I think would be the most marketable--just in case Disney should ever change their mind on that point and wants a reference guide to which horses they should include in the line.
Major (Cinderella, 1950)
Major is a gray stallion who is temporarily transformed into a coachman for Cinderella's night at the ball.
Samson (Sleeping Beauty, 1959)
Samson is a gray stallion belonging to Prince Phillip. He is shown to be fast and fearless, and he hates distractions and detours.
Captain (101 Dalmatians, 1961)
Captain is a gray draft stallion who lives in the English countryside. He is instrumental in aiding in the rescue of Pongo and Perdita's puppies, and helps provide them with shelter and protection during their trek back to London.
Frou Frou (Aristocats, 1970)
Frou Frou is a flaxen chestnut light draft mare belonging to Madame Adelaide Bonfamille of Paris, France. She is a close friend of Duchess and her kittens. She is the only mare to be prominently featured in a Disney animated feature film with a specific storyline. Fantasia (1940) features a pegasus mare in one of its sequences (the mother of Peter Pegasus).
Philippe (Beauty and the Beast, 1991)
Philippe is a flaxen chestnut Belgian draft stallion who belongs to Maurice and Belle. He is very cautious and skittish, but bravely returns with Belle to the Beast's castle to find her father.
Achilles (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 1996)
Achilles is a gray warhorse who belongs to Captain Phoebus. He is trained to respond to commands the same way a dog would, and even knows how to sit and heel. He appears to get along with Frollo's Friesian stallion Snowball, despite their owners being on opposites sides.
Pegasus (Hercules, 1997)
Pegasus is a pegasus stallion belonging to Hercules. He is white with a blue mane and tail. Pegasus isn't the most intelligent horse, but he's very loyal and courageous.
Khan (Mulan, 1998)
Khan is Mulan's faithful black stallion. He carries her into battle against the Huns.
Bullseye (Toy Story 2, 1999)
Bullseye is a chestnut stallion who serves as Woody's loyal steed in the children's show that spawned the toy line Woody is part of. In the Toy Story films, Bullseye is Jessie's closest friend and ally.
Buck (Home on the Range, 2004)
Buck is a bay stallion belonging to Sheriff Brown. He is incredibly egotistical and admires the bounty hunter Rico until he learns Rico is working for the notorious Alameda Slim.
Maximus (Tangled, 2010)
Maximus is a light silver Andalusian stallion who loyally serves the Captain of the Guard, acting as both his mount and his right hand man. He is intelligent, brave and fiercely patriotic. He dedicates his life to protecting Princess Rapunzel on all her adventures.
Angus (Brave, 2012)
Angus is a black Shire stallion who serves as Merida's mount and best friend. He has good judgment and hates having to carry Merida into danger, but will do so if the cause is just.
Sitron (Frozen, 2013)
Sitron is a brunblakk (brown dun) fjord stallion who belongs to Prince Hans of the Southern Isles. Despite his owner's sinister nature, Sitron is a polite, friendly horse with fast reflexes and an instinct to protect.
Fidella (Tangled the Series, 2017)
Fidella is a bay draft mare who belongs to Cassandra. She is fast, strong and brave, and Maximus develops a crush on her. Fidella does not come from a feature film, but this list desperately needed another mare.
The Nokk (Frozen II, 2019)
The Nokk is a Scandinavian water spirit tamed by Elsa. It serves as her mount. While it is Elsa's friend and allows her to ride it, it is still very wild and will drown trespassers on the Dark Sea.

An alternate take on "Frozen II" (2019)
I'm back! I wasn't expecting to do a rewrite for this, but considering how polarized the feedback for this film is, I wanted to give my own spin on it--but keep in mind, this takes into account my rewrite for "Frozen," so read that first! You have NO IDEA how hard this was to rewrite, especially since I had to alter a lot. Hope you enjoy this, and be sure to check out my rewrites for other revival-era films!
Again: make use of the concept art! Unlike part 1, it doesn't really look historically/culturally accurate to medieval Scandinavia, but at least it looks amazing! Maybe the silhouettes could be changed to make it more accurate. Keep the color schemes, though; I love the oranges and reds used for Anna rather than her black look used in the final product--and yes, I know the last picture is from her Arendelle festival dress at the beginning of the film; I'd like it to be formatted to her travel dress (I like the silvery-grey coat though), as well as using the blues and greens for Elsa.
2. Stay in Arendelle a little bit longer. If you recall my "Frozen" remake, it's a larger kingdom, and I'd like to see it a bit more during "Some Things Never Change" and before we relax in the castle. Considering my other changes, it works out fine; they could be perusing the town when Elsa hears the magical voice. And Liutenant Mattias and his group are never trapped in Northuldra; they remain in Arendelle and didn't have a large role in part 1 due to Agnarr's advice to the staff to keep an emotional distance from the royals.
3. Hans is Anna's main love interest, being a genuine good guy here, and joins the team on their adventure. Given the events of the first film, they actually have been engaged for a while, as Anna is working on her relationship with Elsa and Hans is trying to bond with (some of) his brothers. He's also earned bonus sister points from Elsa because he serves as a confidant to her. Despite being engaged, Kristoff hoped Anna's feelings would've changed, but despite caring for him, she chose Hans.
4. Explore Northuldra culture more, and make Arendelle ancestors (a separate culture from the Northuldra) Sami-inspired. I find it a waste that the Northuldra simply existed to give Elsa a hint to the voice and serve as the victims of a colonial story. In my opinion, they don't live THAT far from Arendelle; they just stay a little ways away, enough to keep their cultural distance while still keeping in touch with current events. Plus they're not stuck in one area. In my version, their mythology would have a BIG impact on the story.
5. Remove Iduna's Northuldra origins. Maybe it's just me, but I do think Iduna doesn't look Northuldran. In my version, she was from a tribal group, racially similar to the people of Arendelle and hidden thanks to the trolls (and I'd also make Kristoff related to them as well). Or if we wanna utilize more of the Nordic mythology, she can be descended from elves, who are said to live in Ahtohallan, where Elsa ventures to find out the origins of the voice.
8. What were different elements in the film now embody seasons: Bruni (summer), Nokk (spring), Gale (fall), and Elsa (winter), which can be spiritual or in corporeal form, usually the former. The nokk (as per mythology) can also shapeshift. I'm removing the rock giants, since they don't really serve a purpose in my rewrite.
9. "I Can't Lose You" is included. After finding out the REAL reason their parents died, Elsa feels awful for how she blamed their deaths on Anna, and Anna attempts to prevent Elsa from shutting her out again, but Elsa is realizing that she's now at a point where Anna may not be able to understand (or survive) Elsa's destiny.
10. After Elsa sends away Hans, Olaf, and Anna, a new trio forms: Elsa, Honeymaron (who joins the team to help uncover the secrets of the voice), and the spirit of a previous winter incarnation named Cajetan. Elsa is able to summon him thanks to her own abilities tied to memory (it's mentioned the nokk can do so as well). A Northuldran from decades ago, he silently guides Elsa throughout he journey to find the voice, with Honeymaron bridging certain gaps in unspoken communication that may be lost on someone not from Northuldra. Can't decide whether or not Cajetan is like a little brother to Elsa or a hinted-at love interest (like I'd make Honeymaron). Regardless, Elsa does have higher priorities here than romance, but the seeds can be sew. The other trios are Anna/Hans/Olaf and Kristoff/Ryder/Sven. It's also revealed the previous embodiment of winter killed Kristoff's parents, as well as many of the ethnic group that lived with the trolls. Elsa suffers a lot of guilt for this, and thus involves Kristoff less in their journey, not wanting to hurt him, especially given that he's still reeling about Anna and Hans' upcoming wedding.
11. "Lost in the Woods" is about Kristoff letting go of his feelings for Anna as she decides to marry Hans, with possible hinting at him being attracted to Ryder, as well as reeling from the reason his family was taken from him.
12. We get a physical, PRESENT, villain. Sound exciting right? Well, my idea for the villain might lose a few people. Diving into the world's religion a bit more, I do like the idea that the Northuldrans (as well as the Arendelle people's cousins) spoke of an embodiment of destruction and chaos, a being that made seasons violent and dangerous, and prevents them from coinciding. Their goal is chaos, hoping to rebirth the world and crafting the wretched mirror that Arendelle royalty eventually gained possession of. Failing to convince Elsa to freeze Arendelle (and eventually the world), they turned their attention to the other spirits, who, due to lacking a human form, were easier to manipulate and control, using them to corrupt Elsa, who could also be the most destructive force if they to control her. The nokk attempts to flood Arendelle, Bruni burns up the Northuldra forest (causing them to relocate to Arendelle for a period) and Gale killing off other forms of life by taking their breath away until there isn't even a breeze in the air. Perhaps I've played too many video games, but I love the idea that he oversees much of the heroes like a deity would, similar to Eris from "Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas."
13. Change Elsa's origins. When Runeard dies in a frost, Iduna prays for the spirit of winter to be born as someone to bring Arendelle out of it's dark age, resulting in Elsa. "Love," as to be expected, is an honorary 5th element, and it's revealed that humans can only embody the seasons if true love is involved. It also explains why Agnarr abhors magic and attempts to put on a tough front. All of this is shown at Ahtohollan thanks to the magical elves who imbue wisdom to her. She spends a bit more time there before leaving, with "Show Yourself" being sung once she's there, and they're able to show her other memories of her family and show how much her parents loved her. Perhaps the "You are the one you've been waiting for" line is sung by the benevolent primordial entity. And Elsa is able to let go of the past discretions of the frost that killed her grandfather and Kristoff's parents.
14. The ending is a bit more open-ended. The chaotic deity is defeated, though it's noted that such things cannot be defeated, simply diminished or banished, similar to what Elsa does by working with the other seasons to defeat the deity. Elsa realizes that unlocking her full potential has made her a target for the deity's wrath, but she believes as long as she has those she cares about, then she can get through anything (it's cheesy, but it's true!) However, she does decide that she wants to learn more about the seasons and the magical world, and asks Anna to be a regent in her stead. Anna (and Hans) accept, with a bittersweet goodbye. The film ends with Anna and Hans kissing (and Olaf watches) while Kristoff, Sven, Elsa, and her seasonal contemporaries make for Northuldra, where Ryder, Honeymaron, and Cajetan await them.
One again, I've got A LOT going on with this remake. Maybe it needs to be a 2 hour movie. PLEASE let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions! I may tweak this later.
Update: I've also made a post about my own take if I was in charge of a Disney movie about the Snow Queen. This adaptation is independent of my Frozen remakes.

Dirty secret time.
Prefacing with I have no issue with anyone else who likes this thing and mostly support your hobby (my main concern is your wallet), but it's something that, for me, feels shameful to admit.
I am not a fan of Funko, but some of their non-human designs really go off and I love them. I have a decent collection of the Jurassic Park/World dinos (there are a few I wish I'd picked up in the past, but it's not like I was going out of my way to get most of them-I did get all the atrociraptors, though), I have Vulpix of course (I tried to ask my mom for the jumbo Vulpix for Christmas the year it was available and it didn't happen...I should have just bought it instead of heavily suggesting it to her), and every so often I eyeball things not in my fandoms (the Frozen II water nokk was beautiful okay?)
The humans aren't great, quite a few of their non-human designs miss the mark, and I hate when I see them just putting silver or pearlescent paint on an old one and re-selling it, but every so often they get it right.
That being said, I saw a Growlithe at Gamestop yesterday and I have this overwhelming urge to take foam clay to it and make it Hisuian (they have an Arcanine too but then I'd want one of both of those). I also have a half-painted Indoraptor that I wanted to make look cooler.
Long story short I'd love to take them and use them as bases to make cooler things. Better paint jobs. Dioramas. Added details.

Bruni | Request Muse
Age: N/A
Fandom: Frozen II
Species: Elemental
Pronouns: He/Him/They
Romance: Pansexual
Face Claim: Osaki Shotaro
About:
Bruni is what some would call the baby of the spirits. Playful as Gayle, but with the fierceness of Nokk and the earth giants, Bruni can still struggle from time to time, in part due to the curse he and the other spirits put over Northuldra. While those trapped within learned to make due, the tension still deep in the two peoples, the spirits blesses their former Fifth spirit with the gift to have a magical born child that would be able to access the land of memory and fix rhe wrong that was done. Bruni chose to remain in his lozard form and nap a lot dyring the curse, finding slightly cooler ppaces to rest. Thoigh his animal form is a lizard, his ability over fire shows in the much more heated body temperature regardless of form. After a decade, Bruni found a perfect place and fell into a hibernation, where he stayed for over twenty years.
Hearing the whisper of their gifted new Fifth Spirit, Bruni and his ‘siblongs’ woke to meet their new sibling. The wind spirit went to locate the child, and once aware (and named by Olaf) of which of the visitors was gifted, the spirits wondered if the female could find the truth. Bruni went in search to get a look at the young woman. Hiwever, when he got close and sensed the immense levels of tension and distrust agitated the newly awake spirit lashed out in an attempt to silence it all. Elsa followed him, and when he tried to lash out at her, he was pleasantly surprised to realize she had ice powers. Bruni could sense she was the gift he and his ‘siblings’ had given to Arendale. The one they had been waiting for this whole time. He chose to remain in his lizard form, playful and curious as to the guests who had come to break the veil of shadow over the forest. Bruni was excited to see the sun again, but when Elsa went too far on Ahtohallan, he feared the worst.
Until Anna of Arendale woke the stone giants and led them to the bridge. The bravery of Elsa’s younger sister in the face of losing everything gave the spirits a sense of justice. They gifted Anna with helping to save Arendale, and Bruni was excited when Elsa decided to relinquish her role as Queen so she could stay in the forest with the spirits and the people of Northuldra. After a year, Bruni finally revealed his human form, not sure if the other spirits will follow suit.

I have the opposite feeling. For me Frozen is about liberation through love and in that sense, Frozen II was a great continuation to the original story, which, for me was nice but full of plotholes. In the first movie, a lot of things happened because THE PLOT demanded it. Like when Anna sings about constantly being alone. Why? Why was she alone? She had her parents, she was a princess, Elsa was the one behind the closed door. Anna could have gone out no problem, done literally whatever. Why is a foreigner taking over Arendelle? They obviously have a council there. Even when a princess says she leaves someone in charge, the council is still there. How is Hans, after attempted regicide not executed? Or at least in prison? He is just 'sent home' to showel shit so that he can have a funny cameo in Frozen Fever.
On the other hand, Frozen 2 has a logical, consistent story, it makes sense, is a great comentary on oppression of Sámi people without shoving it down everyone's throat like many new movies do with their political and ideological agenda. Not to mention excellent music scores (though still not a fan of obligatory Olaf song, even though it was much better than the one in the first Frozen). Elsa's power is growing, her world is expanding. She is 24 and wants to see the world. I can totally understand that. They are not separated. They are literally a Nokk ride away. What changed is that they are now building their own lives, standing on their own two feet instead of being glued to one another and frankly, giving off a very codependent vibe, to use the lingo of the youth. They learned a lot, saw a lot, it is logical they want to be independent and their own women. It doesn't make their love any less significant.
I get that for Elsanna shippers the ending was a disaster, because their ship had wrecked. Maybe that was one of the reasons the creators took this road, maybe not. But if we say Frozen II had problems, we should also point out that the first movie had even more of them, because it did. Both my children like Frozen 2 more then the first one as well and never once asked me why they are separated now, or where Anna was. The ending was rushed and...frankly, weird, that is for sure. I think they should have made it like 5 minutes longer and let Elsa go to the forest after the celebration, whatever it was, because yes, that was a very wtf moment. But the rest of the movie was very good imho and was (very loosely) based on real historical events. And that made it hit even harder. Combined with the fact it was dubbed into Davvisámegiella. So overall a very positive experience.
I get frustrated whenever I see all those BringElsahome people hating in Frozen 2. I don’t think that Frozen 2 destroyed the franchise or ruined the messenge of the original Frozen.
I would recommend blocking them and their tags. They are incredibly vile towards Jen Lee and bully other fans, love to come up with conspiracy theories about the making of F2 or Jen Lee's personal life, and some users within that group have been proven to be racists. They have taken criticism of F2 beyond the realm of opinion and have made it a toxic lifestyle. They're not worth your time.
As for the opinion of F2 ruining the message of Frozen, I don't agree at all. I've heavily followed the creation of Frozen and Frozen 2, up to release. I don't see anything in F2 that warrants that criticism. It is still very much a story about sisters and their connection to each other. Elsa trying to find her purpose and Anna learning to accept change does not negate this.
As for destroying the franchise...there was literally a global pandemic. F2 sales were affected by that, and fans have been leaving because of a lack of content. The same thing happened to Frozen around 2016-2018, with fans leaving because of a dry period before F2 was in full advertisement swing. Not to mention the backlash Olaf's Frozen Adventure got. Did that film ruin the franchise too? Please. Frozen will be just fine.

Frozen II big screen re-watch (part 1)
I had the privilege of watching Frozen II today on the big screen. I'm on a short trip to another state and for some reason, the cinemas there are doing a re run of F2. Boy, was it an emotional trip for me! I felt like I relived 5 years! I last watched F2 on the big screen in 2019 (pre-pandemic). F2 caused me to join Tumblr in Jan 2020 and it's my first ever Fandom.
F2 is definitely much better when you watch it on a big screen. The experience is just so much better. 1) the animation looks so good bigger. You can see micro expressions in the character's faces. The special effects are awesome. 2) the audio experience is so much better with good speakers with bass and surround sound. Both of these make it easier to not focus on the plot flaws.
I teared and teared throughout the show. You must understand, although my blog is quiet now, I was madly in love with F2 in the first year of my blog. Besides making hundreds of gifs, I also wrote essays on locations, the plot, the themes in F2, Elsa's powers, Anna's love, etc. I'm also a musician and the songs and score mean so much to me. I recorded myself playing the piano and guitar to Elsa, Anna, Iduna singing, analyzed musical motifs, made some discoveries of my own (Hansorcery most importantly), made a cappella versions of songs and some humorous mashups.
It was really a trip down memory lane today. I reminisced over scenes that I have giffed. Giffing is a process that makes you really familiar with the scenes as you go over it multiple times till the crop, timing and colour is just right. I was a noob when I first started, and I learnt along the way with help from friendly fans here. I was reminded of those scenes that took my breath away, scenes that made my heart go "awwww", scenes which are funny, scenes which have been focal points of my analyses. I remembered my boobs analyses (lol about how I ogled them for research), Elsa's see through back of travel gown, tender sister moments, cute Bruni gifs, beautiful scenes of the girls, my transition gifs of Elsa riding on Nokk, raw animation, and the list goes on.
I remembered all the music, music which I listened to countless times till I dreamt the music in my sleep (I kid you not, this is a thing that happens to me). I remembered my hair standing during the creepy scenes - the ship scene (on my very first watch I was so worried they were going to reveal the dead bodies of the parents😱) and Olaf dying scene (the 6 notes motif is sooooo creepy you know something bad is going to happen). I felt the power of the fight scenes between Elsa and Gale and Elsa and Bruni and Elsa and Nokk, and Anna vs the giants. I teared at the tender sister scenes in the bedroom and outside the ship. And I teared when Elsa gloriously outran the flood and stopped it with her mighty wall of ice.
I was enthralled by the songs once again. Especially the big three songs. Into the unknown, especially when Elsa steps into the magical forest created by her magic. Show yourself is all about Elsa, Elsa is sooooo gorgeous in that entire song, from her tied back pony tail look to her hair down look to her dress transformation. And for The Next Right Thing I felt how crushed Anna was and how Kristen Bell cried for real in the song as she recorded it. I teared as Olaf died in her arms and that was the moment Anna realized Elsa was dead too.
(I have more to write)
