So here's something a little off the beaten path from my normal uploads -

Last week was my best friend @koilada's birthday and I held a private art stream for her, during which I sketched some of her (our) favorite ships! Because fwenship💕 Ships and the works that they're from listed below, in order of appearance:

Cass and Varian (Tangled the Series)*

*The Cassarian sketch is specifically in reference to a post-series spin-off that she and I have been writing together for some time now, which I might post more about in the future, we'll see.

It's been so long since I've attempted to draw most of these characters... My favorite thing in this entire set ended up being that Mateo, because I have not drawn him very much and I was fully anticipating him to come out looking so much worse than he did, LOL. (Side note: please forgive the missing hands, these were not meant to be finished pieces, just some relatively "quick" sketches)

❄️Tangled-tober, Day 16: Cozy🧣

The gang go to a cozy cabin in the snowy mountains.🥰 While New Dream cuddle, Cass gives Varian a warning look like, “Don’t even think about it, kid…”🤣

How do people look at Cassarian and Varigo side by side and still choose to ship Cassarian? Like that’s some pedo level weird and yucky and gross even if Varian is aged up 😭😭.

And no it’s not because I’m a strong ass cassunzel shipper who believes Cass is meant to be with Rapunzel. tbh I’m not even a very passionate Varigo shipper but I look at those two and I go “aweeee” cause they’re just so cute together and Varian is a cute lil gay twink.

And I see Cassarian and I’m just so fkn flabbergasted cause Cass is just so obviously queer coded and that’s without mentioning THE AGE GAP?!?!! Bro Cass never even payed any attention to Varian and that’s just so weird. If the gender were reversed people would be pissed off as shit but since Cass is the adult woman in this scenario it’s all good (it’s not).

For anyone who starts writing, "But she's 24 and Varian is 16," -get out-

Firstly, we don't ship them as a couple when Varian is 16, but at least 18, and secondly, the series takes place a long time ago, and back then you got married at the age of 16.

Also, I wanted to point out that most of the Disney princesses are minors.

Cassarian Appreciation Week! Day 2: Cassandrium

Context: Future! Cassandra comes back and bumps into Varian! :3 This took 21 hours to make. T-T

To this day, no single piece of animation has ever moved me half so much as that 360 tracking shot of Varian and Cassandra argue-singing in each other’s faces during the bridge of their duet in Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.

Stop dumping hate on ships you don't like

There are so many great ships with Varian

Cassarian, Varipunzel, Eugerian, Varalina, Varigo and a LOT more

Let people write and draw what they want

And when you don't like it, block the tags, nothing is forcing you to look at it

Stop the toxicity
