Randomly got inspired to draw. This is a character I have been drawing for years. His name is Maor. The sign he is holding says "STOP WAR". The Hebrew text at the bottom says "War Is Bad For Your Health".
Excuse my shit handwriting lol. But yeah I wanted to make an anti war poster and this is what I came up with.

Daniel Wais preforming a cover of Benny Amdursky's "אני גיטרה", "I am a Guitar", on his audition for "Rising Star (...for the 2025 Eurovision song contest)"
The song was written and composed by Naomi Shemer for Amdursky, who had made some changes to the lyrics..
youtube
Daniel Wais is from kibbutz be'eri, he survived the massacre that Hamas committed on 7/10/2023
his father, Shmulik, was murdered by Hamas terrorists in the kibbutz. his mother Yehudit was kidnapped by the terrorists.. she had been diagnosed with breast cancer about three months before she was brutally taken to Gaza.. she was murdered in captivity, her dead body was found by the idf in a booby-trapped building near the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza, "along with Hamas military equipment, including assault rifles and RPGs."

Just saw a video of someone counting in different languages and the comment section??? Was so horrific? Under every single comment requesting Hebrew, people were telling them to end their lives or calling them child killers.
People do understand that even if they do live in Israel they are not responsible for their government and you have no idea what their thoughts are, right? You do all understand that although Hebrew is the official language of Israel it is spoken elsewhere, right? Including Palestine!
Hating and threatening people over what language they speak is not doing anything to help Palestinian people or stop the war. That's not even performative support at this point it's just a reason to hate.

Is the war between US citizens?
Islam is unfortunately a misunderstood religion. Years ago you could hear that the Hijab was a torture action, women beign abused just for using it...
Now the pro-Hamas (please, let me separate this from Palestine) woman, specially around the US. Cover their entire head with a shemagh.
Let understand that most of this people born around 2005. They didn't know about past wars. They only go for the masses.
The social media is filled with interviews about the reason of the protest. "I don't know, I am just here to help"
Are these real protests for Palestine, or for a self opression?
I have many muslim friends that are sad, unavailable to help. Islam has a lot of misunderstantings.
Did you know that Allah has 99 names? And all of them have a deep meaning.
Not every muslim woman will wear a Hijab.
I see all of this protests like an "opportunity" to spit what young people can't say in a daily basis.
This is going beyond Palestine. You do not understand the magnitude of this situation.
Go and do Dhikr instead. Stop shouting "death to Israel", I am impressed that they got accepted in a university.
The cultural meaning of a shemagh must not be abducted by this.
How can you help Palestine?
First, learn geography, how is Palestine? Their weather.
Learn about arabic culture pre islamic and modern. Who is the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) ?
Go to a near mosque, if you can enter, be silent, remove your shoes, do wudu. In that way, you are helping.
Bring a hand to your jewish classmate, teacher, friend. Religion must not be the problem, ethnicity must not be the problem.
If you want to help, first respect.
One of my favourite names of Allah is Al-Karim. I'm sure he will be happy if you learn the meaning.

i was on the most random nostalgia kick and rewatched the prince of egypt yesterday and let me just say... that movie is truly one of the greatest animated films of all time.
#it's sooo good#i'm not religious but i enjoyed it from start to finish#i used to be christian (not my fault‚ raised that way) and even though i left the faith a long time ago biblical stories still fascinate me#like they're so interesting when you look at them as simply ancient mythology#and one thing i really appreciate about the prince of egypt is that they don't shove any religious message down your throat#the focus is on moses and ramses's relationship#and... wow. i did not remember it being that deep. i was NOT expecting to get so invested in their tragedy#i really liked the sort of grey area they both fell into and how they weren't just starkly good and evil#like ramses being the way he is because of what his father drilled into him‚ his fear of being the “weak link” and dooming his empire#and ofc moses unleashing the plagues and even allowing ramses's son to die in order to free his people#but i loved how they showed he was torn up about it because yeah! the egyptians were his people too!#and i loved how ramses didn't immediately hate him when the plagues began! he still loved him and saw him as a brother‚ however misguided!#but then moses proved he was willing to do anything for the hebrews' freedom. only then was their relationship beyond saving#this movie made my heart hurt a little. the deteriorating relationship of two brothers at the centre of it all... god#i have so many thoughts and feelings#it's so good. and ofc the animation is stunning. it's definitely a favourite of mine#some things from your childhood hit different when you revisit them as an adult because man i did not grasp all these layers as a kid#text#personal#misc

Can't stop thinking how PPs (pro palestinians) force "decolonization" on israel by forcing arabic onto the names and everything when these are the native languages of canaan, aka what they call "palestine":
Tumblr media
Modern hebrew was indeed revived in Europe but it is still a moddle eastern jewish native canaanite language
so no its not nablus, or al aqsa or whatever they call whichever city bc arabic is a colonizer language. Like english is America.
