Am I the only one who thinks that if Israel wasn't a Jewish state, the left would praise it as a very beautiful thing? There's the obvious reason that it's a decolonization project, which leftist typically love, but it's deeper than that.

Israel has one big culture, the Jewish culture, but it's also influenced by many different cultures because of thousands of years of diaspora. It's a beautiful collection of many cultures coming together binded by another. People are finally returning to their homeland, but influenced by different cultures across the world. It's multicultural while being one, together. That's what the left likes. But no. Instead, they say, "stolen culture".

Clarification on a common misconception about Israel.

Israel is by definition NOT an ethnostate.

The definition of ethnostate is:

"a sovereign state of which citizenship is restricted to members of a particular racial or ethnic group."

As of 2022, the religious population makeup of Israel is:

"Jewish 73.5%, Muslim 18.1%, Christian 1.9%, Druze 1.6%, other 4.9%"

Clearly, citizenship and residency is not denied based on religion. How about race?

"73.2% (about 7,208,000 people) are Jews. 21.1% (around 2,080,000 people) are Israeli citizens classified as Arab, some identifying as Palestinian, and including Druze, Circassians, all other Muslims, Christian Arabs, Armenians (which Israel considers "Arab") An additional 5.7% (roughly 554,000 people) are classified as "others". (various ethnic/racial backgrounds.)

A quick google search shows that while Jews are the majority, many people of different races reside in Israel. White Christians are the majority in America and many European countries, and yet I have never heard them called ethnostates. Is this only because Jews are the majority? Hmmmm....

In contrast, Gaza WOULD fit the definition of an ethnostate. It has specific ethnic requirements not only to gain citizenship, but also to even enter the territory legally.

Vogue Greece picked an Israeli model Sun Mizrahi to be on the cover of their “Mediterranean Touch” and their followers got really angry.

2. 1948 _ Given to the "Arabs " to build an "Arab state " alongside the " Jewish state " the Arabs said NO 🙄

3. 1949_ after the Arabs invaded the state of Israel and lost spectacularly , Egypt took it over as a military Protectorate .

4. 1956_ Britain and France told Israel to take it over in a war intended to return the suez canal to Britain and France . US demanded all move out .Gaza went back to Egypt !

5. 1967_ after Egypt kicked the UN out of the Sinai , Israel pre-emptively attacked Egypt !....Egypt ,Syria , Jordan , Lebanon ,Iraq lost that war against Israel spectacularly and Israel took over Gaza as a protectorate .

6. 1969_ Egyptian Yasser Arafat took over the PLO and infiltrated Gaza from Jordan .Arafat became the Palestinian mouthpiece . Arafat named the Arabs living there " Palestinians " . Gaza remained under Israeli control .

7. 1993 _ Israel offered Gaza to the Palestinians and 95% of the West Bank for a Palestinian state ! Arafat said NO 🙄 This would've actually made Palestine a 'real ' State but nope 🙄 Arafat again said NO to peace in 2000 . Yasser Arafat died worth approx 4 billion inherited by his daughter

8. 2005 _ Israel removed its own people ( big mistake ) from Gaza .

9. 2007 _ Hamas waged a civil war against the Palestinian Authority in Gaza and took it over . Hamas spent billions of dollars in aid money building military tunnels and a rocket complex underneath the entire Gaza strip ! Hamas leaders became billionaires.

10. 2023 _ Hamas invaded Israel killing 1,200 people , kidnapping 251 people , mass rapes took place and many UNRWA and Gazans participated in the Oct 7th atrocities, leading to Gaza being destroyed by Israel.

Hamas's pre-oct 7 senior leadership are dead .

2025 _ Gaza is still an Israeli military Protectorate at war with Hamas .

The western world agrees that Hamas can have no role in a future Palestinian state !

When people in Queers for Palestine say things like "I know I wouldn't have rights in Palestine but my activism is not transactional" I lose it because nobody is bringing up the fact gay men get thrown of roofs because of "transactionality", we are saying it because you are actively harming the LGBT community. You actively go against your gay brothers and sisters in the Middle East when you cheer on Hamas or want to see the only gay-friendly country there abolished. You are hurting your own community because you love your community less than you hate (((Israel))).
