Weight loss is a completely morally neutral personal choice that anyone can make for any reason, but if you choose to lose weight because you hate your fat body, please do the internal work to get over that internalized fatphobia before or during your weight loss efforts. I’ve seen far too many fat people become skinny and immediately turn their internalized fatphobia outwards, and it’s a bad time for everyone. If you have to keep the weight off through a strictly maintained diet and exercise, it’s pretty much inevitable that you will gain some weight back at some point in your life (likely more than you had in the first place if yo-yo dieting is in play), and you will find that all the hatred you projected at the fat community will come back to bite you in the ass with twice the power. Work on loving your fat self while you’re there, and if you choose to lose weight then work on continuing to love your old fat self. Life will feel much better for yourself and the fat people around you that way.

Just a reminder the Republicans are a party filled with racists otherwise the house GOP wouldn't have to explicitly tell other republicans to not attack Kamala Harris based on her race or skin tone. Weren't the Republicans and other conservatives talking about judging people based on their character and not on the tone of their skin, guess those guys missed the memo? It's darkly funny they even have reign this in at all, despite all the criticisms you could have of the democratic party they've never have had to keep racism within the party in check for decades especially not now. i can't believe macron just nominated a prime minister from a party that has 8% of the seats at the national assembly. i mean i can because he's the worst but. 8%. there are three coalitions that have more seats than that.

he just. threw suprise elections then refused to nominate a PM for two months... only to appoint someone from the party who came 4th. someone who's 73yo and the most stereotypical right-wing politician you could dream of. even though the left-wing coalition got the most votes.

British Columbia’s 2024 provincial election is still up in the air after a rollercoaster election night that saw neither the BC NDP nor the BC Conservatives secure enough seats to form a majority government. The final outcome of BC’s election will not be clear for over a week with results in several key ridings separated by less than a few hundred votes. Those results could potentially flip after final ballots are counted and mandatory recounts are conducted. What is clear is that the results represent a major political realignment in BC. The BC Conservatives, a far-right party previously relegated to the fringes of BC politics, received only 1% of the vote and held no seats after the previous election in 2020. But on the morning after election night in 2024, the BC Conservatives received more than 43% of the vote and won at least 40 seats.

anyway related to my "gullible" post i do think bonnie didn't really have a lot of friends / any good friends. i'm taking a watsonian approach to "some of the things bonnie does seem more like age 5-8 than 10-12", and a doylist approach to "everyone in this party grew up kinda lonely and feels disconnected from their peer group"
