I just saw that post about character misconception in fandom and Adam and I just realized• isn't it weird that Lute doesn't receive the same treatment? Like most of the times, people will agree that she's a bitch and a genocidal monster, but with Adam it's the "he had every right to act like this for x and z reasons" from the (chronically online) fangirls or the religious conservative fanboys? Why is that?

As I've mentioned before, I'm slowly doing some cleanup on this blog and a couple of others. For just a bit, my focus will be on re-working my verses to cast or re-cast necessary muses.

First things first:

CASTING -- I prefer even my free verses to have some solid, non-changing cast members because it helps keep the story tight and moving forward if several of us are on the same page about the plot and our place in it. A bit like a group verse, aside from the fact that any mutual can slide into the universe without asking or applying to do so. The only difference is when there's a specific muse that's cast in a role, I won't interact with a duplicate of that muse in that verse -- an example would be that @gloriousxdarkness is the only Elektra in the Crossed Worlds open spin-off verse, 'Back in Black' but OCs and non-cast muses are welcome to hmu in 'Back in Black' any time.

I'm throwing out a line because I'd like to get some canons in the mix in my open verses. Here's what I'm specifically looking for, verse by verse:

Back in Black -- Clint Barton, James Rhodes, Peter Parker, Laura Barton, Nick Fury, Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Blade, Any X-Men, Any DCEU, Superheroes and supervillains welcome! It's set in the current year, but diverges from canon at the end of Thor: Ragnarok. In this verse Thanos never happened. This is a very canon verse, other than that, please be aware.

Stranger Things -- I'm restarting my ST open verse, basically from scratch so I'm looking for anyone who's up for it!

Immortal Beloved -- I'd love to have a full set of Mikaelsons, of which I'm only missing Bex and Klaus. Looking for witches, werewolves, other Slayers, vampires, you name it! Set vaguely smack-dab in the middle of The Originals second season.

As always, OCs are welcome in all verses, I'm highly interested in interacting with female muses and I welcome conflict IC as well as friendship, found family, romance, etc. The easiest way to chat about this is to hmu on discord at faithlehane but make sure to tell me who you are/what your tumblr url is. <3

last night i was thinking that, now that the switch 2 announcement was finally made and it's supposed to be released this year, the switch has been, to me, the most disappointing nintendo console up to now in terms of new games. (me continuing to rant and be a hater under the cut)

oh sure, i had a fucking blast with hyrule warriors definitive edition (probably my most-played game in the switch), i thought link's awakening was cute, exploring xenoblade chronicles DE's new areas in its expansion took me back to the Wii days, got to play tales of symphonia for the umpteenth time, playing mario kart 8 deluxe was also fun for the couple of times i played it and metroid dread was pretty good too.

the problem is, out of previous games i mentioned, only ONE of them isn't a port/remaster/remake, and that just fucking blows. of course i'm fucking hyped for the xenoblade x port/remake/whatever, but it's like.....wow, really, there was only ONE original game (that took me 20ish hours to complete) in the last 8 years or whatever the hell that i've owned a nintendo switch that i thoroughly enjoyed playing??

from the original, non-port games that i have: xc 2 (absolutely hated it), xc3 (enjoyed like maybe 40% of it but would not play it again), breath of the wild (lol), tears of the kingdom (lol x2), super smash bros ultimate (i was over this franchise when it released i just bought it because i had played all previous games but played it for maybe 20 hours then never picked it up again), super mario odyssey (don't own it but i did play it cus a friend let me borrow it and eh, it was ok but i didn't buy it to own it myself for a reason), and metroid dread (surprisingly the winner of the bunch above).

i was looking at my backlog of video games that i would like to play through, and for the switch, there's only....super mario 3d world (aka another port, this was probably my favorite mario game i've played since sunshine and dammit i want to try those new levels), okami (another port), and kirby and the forgotten realm. that's it. i haven't played pokemon since firered so i never cared for the pokemon games released this generation, splatoon never really got my attention, same with fire emblem, and super mario bros wonder looked cute but again not enough interest in me spending 70 dollars on it to play it for 20 hours or whatever and then lose interest.

meanwhile for the wii u, wii, gamecube ...like...geez, the amount of ORIGINAL games that i own and played and thoroughly enjoyed and replayed over and over on those consoles is AT LEAST LIKE, 5 on each, and that's being fucking generous. just banger after banger after banger. meanwhile here on the switch it's like...oh yeah. one metroid game. 2 if i'm being generous with saying i didn't absolutely hate mario odyssey, which is just putting the bar pretty low.

so idk. i'm hoping in the april nintendo direct that we'll get to look at what NEW games are on the horizon for the switch 2 that will get me hyped again about a new nintendo console cus right now, with how much of a disaster the switch was to me PERSONALLY in terms of NEW game experiences, i'm just feeling jaded about the whole thing. here's hoping!

I came up with a silly idea! And I need you 🫵

I was thinking about what kind of stuff Zen and Genji would text each other, and I wrote a little headcanon BUT I think it would also be fun to create fake texts.

So I'm asking you guys to send me some memes via dm's, that you think they would both send to each other. And depending on how many images I get, I will turn some of them into fake text convos! (I already created a layout and I tried to make it look neat!)

So yeah, It would be cool if you guys would send me some goofy stuff!! And I'll tag you in the final post.

A small smile creeps onto Lacuna’s face. That is the question she’d been building up to.  She lifts her feet and tilts her body just enough to cause the office chair to rotate with what she tells herself is dramatic slowness until she’s facing in Glassheart’s direction.

“Flexibility!  A normal enchantment produces the exact same effect each time - at most with some conditional modifiers set at time of creation - but since a ritual’s output can be modified to some degree at runtime based on will and intent…”

“You seek to emulate a mage’s spellcasting,” Glassheart finishes, eyes wide.

with the full disclaimer that i might be missing some context or significant piece of information & am fully welcoming anyone to inform me, i feel like. it really just doesn't seem like a huge deal that one of the "poison" storyboard artists is into "dark" kink. like this really feels like a non-issue to me
