Ok, so people have probably heard the news, the McDonald's employee won't be getting 60k off some technicality. Which, funny if true, bc fuck that guy. However, maybe they aren't paying out bc there was no rat. This could mean one of two things:
1. Luigi was a plant of some sort so the cops could save face after losing a high profile murderer
2. The feds used some illegal means to track him down and won't admit it (more likely imo)
Obviously this is just speculation, people have already been speculating it might be some copycat claiming the glory etc.
He could also just be the guy and was ready to get caught. Hard to say.

[ID:
Screenshot of tweet from attorneyryan that reads, "This advice might save your life:
1. Don't make small talk with cops. It makes ZERO difference if you have 'nothing to hide.'
2. Don't trust cops. They don't know the law and they're legally allowed to lie to you.
3. NEVER consent to a search. No matter how innocent you are.
4. NEVER make a deal with cops. They do not have ANY legal authority to offer you a plea deal. They're trying to trick you into making a false confession.
Many innocent people can be saved by this advice."

Supernatural Cops
The fandom has come to the conclusion that all kinds of supernatural or unusual things happen in Amity Park and people take it like any other Tuesday.
Still, I wouldn't be surprised if this place is the only place in the country (not to say the world) that has a police division in charge of handling Cults…
Yes, in Amity Park there is a group of police (not to say half of all the police in the city) that are dedicated to controlling cults and their peculiarities, because we must remember that, despite the reputation of being a tourist trap, this town in the middle of nowhere has the reputation of being the most haunted place in the country (or the world), so it wouldn't be crazy to say that on certain dates of the year many "tourists" (cough cultists cough) arrive who come in order to do "events" (cough rites cough), so whether they want it or not, someone has to control that the limits on how they are "celebrating" are not broken… and to top it off, the limits of what the city considers acceptable is a greater margin than other places, so it has become common for some groups to come back later.
So yes, Amity Park has one of the most effective police departments in dealing with cults and supernatural beliefs, not only are they effective in identifying participants, most of the time they know what kind of cultist they are dealing with, whether they are just playing a game or are the real magic business and how dangerous/troublesome they will be in the end.
What's more, this group is so good at what they do, that many times the inhabitants of Amity Park prefer to call them instead of the GIW (they are too destructive and there is still no 100% reliable insurance that will pay for the damages they cause), when it comes to a problem with a ghost and the ghost child is not around.
and that competition is more noticeable when other cities in the country begin to ask for help with some unknown cults that are appearing rap

To my fellow US Americans: If you are planning on arming yourselves because of the election results and what might be on the horizons, I urge you to be a responsible gun owner.
Take as many classes as you can. Get certified in gun safety, even if it's not required to own a gun in your state. Get a gun safe. A good gun safe. Lock your gun up. Don't leave it armed. Don't wave your guns or gun-owning status around and don't pose with guns like they're toys. I'd say not to make gun buying an impulse purchase, either. You are investing in something that holds great potential risk to yourself and others - treat it like a responsibility.
I'm not here to argue about if Americans ought to exercise the second amendment in the way it currently exists. That's not the point - we have always had the second amendment, and I doubt it's going anywhere. I am more interested in making sure we don't see a surge in accidental, negligent gun ownership.
As a queer person in the US, I can understand the mindset behind people's spiked interest in arming themselves. I'm not arguing against that. As a child of gun owners, I know just how huge a responsibility it is to own a gun, and I hate the general attitude we Americans have about guns. Please don't contribute to that. If you own a gun, it is you inherent responsibility to take care of that gun (which is why I can't own a gun yet - I don't have the resources to pour into proper ownership).

Hey, do any of my followers have experience with absconding from their parents' house to a safe place as soon as they're able? Do you have any advice on how to do that? Do you have any advice on what the person they're going to live with should do?

I love the conspiracy theories of leftists. From the exact same people who brought you "trump rigged the election, they're going to overturn it any day now" we have "they arrested the wrong man and planted the evidence on him."
Would I love for either of those things to be true? Sure. But do I accept that the occam's razor answer is "people are stupid." Yes. When you're struggling to accept any thing that has happened, ask yourself if it's adequately explained by "people are stupid."
Because you cannot believe how stupid people can be.

So there's this story about a person who was born and raised to despise each and every human being ever born into the world. The entire reason for his existence—the reasons for all of his ancestors' existences throughout history—is to enact vengeance on humanity for their crimes.
Then that vengeful being, despite his best attempts not to, befriends a human man. He finds himself caring for one human and that human's younger brother, finds himself becoming part of their family, even though it goes against everything he is and is supposed to be. He finds himself loving these two people so deeply that it rewrites his whole worldview—changes him from a vengeful monster into something that hopes dearly for humanity's redemption and begs his father not to let them be destroyed.
It's a story about the power of understanding and connection, a story about learning to believe in the human potential to be good. And that story starts with one remarkable man who unknowingly manages to win the love of the personification of nature's vengeance in human skin.
The kicker is—that one man that befriends the monster? Who rewrites the vengeful being's whole worldview just by being beside him? He kinda fucking sucks, actually.

so so annoying seeing NSW police bitch and whine about being uninvited to the sydney mardi gras parade after one of their officers murdered a gay couple the other week. after they found that the police had been purposefully under (or just not) investigating the murders of queer people for over half a century. after not implementing any of the recommendations from an inquiry into their practices around queer hate crimes.
If you're a cop and you want to attend pride do what the rest of us do and take your fucking work uniform off.

Y'know, I know they never would've done it but god damn the redemption ending should've failed. That should've been the bad ending, it would've been so good as a bad ending.

Started listening to The Silt Verses yesterday, and my favorite thing so far is how the episode where the cop talks about how the police created a god just for them and calls officers minorities has the content warning "police corruption".
