I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

I know Tim and Damian’s relationship is lacking in a multitude of ways but the POTENTIAL is there!!!

If they put their brains together, they’d get along like a house on fire (possibly literally)! Not to mention the parallels you could draw between their relationship and Discowing Dick and baby Robin Jason.

Not to mention the bonding they could have with Ra’s and training related abuse/mistreatment.

There’s a lot of potential for their relationship that I think a lot of people overlook just to simplify it to them hating each other despite the amount of ways they relate to each other.

I know they’re brothers and Damian may have tried to kill Tim but, given their age gap, it’s so difficult to hate children! Which is essentially what Damian is-a child! And traumatized ones at that!

Once Damian curbed his killer instincts I’m sure their relationship should’ve developed into something along the lines of baby Robin Jason and Discowing Dick.

As well as how much Damian MUST look up to Tim! This is the adopted son that saved his father from the Tim stream, that MADE himself Robin, that helps run his father’s business.

Those are all traits and actions that I’m sure Damian would’ve initially thought were flukes or unworthy of his adopted brother but as time went on it’s impossible to not notice things about those you see on a consistent basis; i.e. Damian and Tim.

Damian must’ve noticed this and started to realize the effort and work and success his brother has achieved in his short time and started to look up to him!

Just watched the new Spiderverse and I have THOUGHTS about the art of Gwen’s world.

Obviously, there are the colors: she’s so often in shades of blue, contrasted against the redder world around her, which she begins regaining herself and her resolve, she shows up in warmer colors and the world around her cools.

But ALSO! The way they do the backgrounds! I think we see two? clearly drawn locations in Gwen’s universe? Maybe? Other than that, it’s a bunch of abstract colors and shapes.

Literally the only two fully drawn locations are her room (which she knows basically by heart) and the museum during the Vulture fight (she literally has to pay attention to her surroundings, if she doesn’t someone dies). Other than that? Colors and shapes.

It’s SO clear that Gwen is not doing well, even just by seeing her world. She doesn’t pay attention to her world, doesn’t see the beauty in it, so we don’t get to see the beauty in her world, either.

i feel the need to point out that charles was probably the first person to ever make any attempts to protect edwin in any way, shape, or form. with the closed off nature of him and his emphasis on his ability to be independent, edwin probably had to look out for himself in the most tucked away, hidden way he knew.

charles never had anyone either, but this had the opposite effect. he put himself towards never letting the people he cared for not have anyone either. No one had protected him from his father, or from those boys, and he sure as hell won’t let edwin or crystal or anyone else go unprotected in the face of witches or assholes or anything stupid enough to try it.

charles doesn’t realize he’s got people protecting him too, now. just because he thinks he himself is his only protector, doesn’t mean it’s the truth, even if edwin and others aren’t as physically direct about it. they were eachothers’ first heroes.
