Bam bing bong, summary of my doodles in 2024
#what a year#ive never compiled it neatly before#i was gonna wait it out cuz i havent finish my Christmas pieces yet but im also like ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh fuck it so yeah hehe#this year I’ve expanded my socials to bluesky and instagram#I’ve always did two collabs this year which is still wild to me (im planning to do more next year hopefully)#(if my social anxiety can just get over it)#in tappy’s voice: gomz no balls#i also need to do more color piece#launching ☕️ this year has helped to do that#to do at least one colored piece each month#i have a video of me going thru my doodles from January to December in the works but i think i might not able to finish it on time#we’ll see#still gotto tackle the last few ☕️ requests after con#this year I’ve drawn a lot more Price!! that’s why he’s the main character this year#i would put Raven but she’s always a main so#im really happy to have found a nice chibi style and stick with it#consistency is always a struggle for me esp with my non chibi style#some of what i drew this year was awful HDJSHSHS but its nice seeing progress#December suit Price is my proudest non-chibi work and I wish to continue that style next year#moving forward I want to continue to improve and do better but also take it easy#burnt myself out too many times this year due to drawing nearly every day + stress + uni#stress management plan is needed but i SUCK at it#me as a pharmacy student counselling patients [it is important to try to relax and manage stress properly]#what a joke JDJDHDHHD#at least my blood pressure readings stabilized finally on gawd it was on the borders for a few months#it’s been a fun year and I’ve made a lot of new friends too#drabbled in a few fandom and community here and there#thank you for having me everyone :)#gummmyart#art summary 2024

I hate the stretch lines in the front of Curly's uniform because that means the devs rushed to make a model in like a month or so and thought "They gotta at least know he has huge knockers, gotta know he's got back pain." Cause like what is the thematic importance of his tits having overhang?
What responsibility is that representing? Breast reduction? It shows an inherent greed in his character due to the excess and heshouldletmeholdone and that he clearly is blinded cause if he tries to look down his damn ladder all he's seeing is his own cleavage.
#this is my curly slander post ig#disclaimer i need you to understand i see all fictional men i like as like butches Curly is no exception#but like they didnt need to add that many polygons to his chest like its unnessary and honestly a little mean he already has so many things#to handle and you expect him to hold those boys up like that just aint right this is like something so stupid but i know you can tell im#having strong feelings about it cause like what was the point why did they survive the fucking crash it has to be a injoke at this point#with the devs it shouldnt make me this mad im turning into a misandrist but only towards large chested men#mouthwashing#curly mouthwashing#shitpost#suggestive#ig because this is just about his chest but like also they made him objectively pretty for no reason like yeah like ideal man and work ig#but they went over the extra mile like i have a right to be mad they did that much for a model we see canonically for like two seconds its#crazy actually how little we see of curly pre crash because we also lose his physical movements to help characterize him the way we see#body language with the other characters and how it gives way to their struggles and personalities and sentiments in certain moments#like all he does and how he emotes is stifled by the fact we always play as him until the last moments where he takes over to try and save#the ship and crew and even right before that the scene is so wrought with tension we cant tell what that look he gave Jimmy meant due to#the limitations of the models and how stiff Curly is like was it fear acceptance denial we dont know enought about how he acts himself#to tell and then everything else is charaterized by what Jimmy had done to where we dont really just get to see Curly as himself like Anya#and Swansea and Daisuke we have no idea how theyd act in a regular moment outside of a few glimpses and even then it is them doing#their jobs like grrrr we hate an unreliable narrator but also its the fact jimmy clearly does not interact with them or try to outside of#his position as copilot and then captain harkening back to the entire capitlist view of utility and how he views all of them as useless eve#Curly which fandom tangent the fandom also tends to do to Curly as they base every trait on what they think he failed to do as Captain#between Jimmy and Anya when the QnAs kinda make him out to be a rather open and willing person but still someone who isnt like a push over#just thinking of QnA three where it mentions hes very open to trying new things and you need to be an open minded person to open urself up#to failure like that and ig this is just the weird view that Curly needs to learn that or that theres redemption he needs personality wise#verses healing and learning from trauma like idk its the idea that people assume he did abosultely nothing when the games points out direct#and throught parallels he was taking actions its just wasnt enough and an over focus on absolute inaction vs ineffective methods used to#tackle the issues and themes the game grapples with plus wanting someone to take the blame and have to make it up to Anya even tho#i think it would mean nothing from Curly because she saw his efforts and would be disappointed it wasnt enough but the idea she would#disregard the attempts or not acknoweldge Jimmy as the epicenter compared ot Curly is weird and too focused on someone

I may very well be swinging a bat at a hornet's nest, but I find it very interesting that the crowd that (rightfully) says "Read another book" to Harry Potter fans among the J.K. Rowling bullshit has a not-insignificant overlap with the crowd that has also only read one book (and that book is Whipping Girl).

it's Aya because upon doing bizarrely throughout playthroughs of the game for still unspecified project purposes I've gained a soft spot for her she's my daughter now my mental tier list on my favorite characters is so confusing right now
#re:kinder#fanart#aya re:kinder#aya hibino#i state shes my daughter NOW because before i didnt pay too big of a mind to her#but honestly in each different playthrough of this game i gain new appreciation for each character#because fun fact ryou was my favorite character at first just because he seemed nice and was a healer and was nice#second playthrough brought in rei and shunsuke in my mind because they ate it up wirh their roles in the story#meanwhile as time passed yuuichi started to grow on me as i realized he was a little too relatable BASICALLY THINGS LIKE THAT#and spoilers for the unspecified project mentioned in the text just because i feel like it#i also did this because having a transcript of every line just spurred me on becquse of how easy it made things#its much more fun to start doing these kind of line based doodles when you dont have to manually go througj hours of gameplay to find stuff#so just being ablr to ctrl f through a document made me very glad HEUEHEHEBEHR#im still working on it it needs proofreading and polishing on some sides but overall it should be here soon i hope#if anyones interested in it do let me know HUEHEHEBRB i will post it regardless but it would be nice to know if anyone is interested#ANYWAY#as to why Aya seems to have a purse when her sprite doesnt its because her equipment mentions her carrying a yellow pouch#its meant to be that!!!#she looks very goofy with it on made me giggle ngl#(as in. amusement)#it adds more interest to her visual design so its nice to have it there im glad its there#OH YEAH SOME COMMENTARY ON ONE OF HER LINES HERE THAT REALLY PIQUED MY INTEREST#if sayaka dies and shes there to see it (thus. you chose to bring her with you) she has this line#where it implies that shes afraid of dying which makes things sad when she's suicidal#she already states i think her desire is more to disappear than to die exactly but even then it's quite sad#like even if she wants to disappear with how gloomy she's feeling and all the things going around with her parents#shes just a little girl who doesn't want to die😭😭#it really adds a sense of realism to how depression is tackled in game at least for me#that when one is depressed and suicidal a lot of the time it's the wish for this state of suffering to end rather than to actually die#SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER ITS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT UPPED MY APPRECIATION FOR HER

More lolcalised stuff- this time, about Supreme Sadness when Billy turns green

Before the fight, lolcalised!Hubbie gives some meaningless stuff, but jp!Hubbie... already guessed, and/or knew, how "special" Billy was, after all, they, of all people, should be able to rekt Solon and a bunch of Agarthans, right?
The lolcalisation toned down Hubbie's fondness for Supreme Leader, Billy is "our professor" and not only, Supreme Leader's mentor. Damn, combining this with the ealier mention, what were Hubert's thoughts about Billy during WC?
They're not their teacher, did he just saw them as one of Supreme Leader's fancy or one of her whims - who also happens to be someone who would help or ruin them?
Note how the "why" was turned in a "what" and the "in such a way" it's just, chief's kiss.
"mah teacher, why did you turn in a lizard?!?"
"because otherwise your science minister would have killed me? My bad, I can't say that."
I feel like the wordless "..." conveys more shock/ire than the "I see" from the lolcalised version (and the seiyuu is basically giving a long "inspire then expire" sound, as if Supreme Leader is trying to calm down), but think of Supreme Leader here, the SoC + being lizard colored means, to her, that Billy is indeed kin to Seiros who was also "loved by the goddess".
No matter how hard she denies it, now it's real : Billy's part lizard :(
Pat removed some parts, Sothis now "looks" favorably upon Billy and Seiros just because Billy wears the SoC, nothing about their new lizard traits.
Pat : "Supreme Leader just asks how Billy will use that power, it's Billy who pick choices!"
FE16 : Supreme Leader pits "the world and the people" against the Monastery, surely, this isn't foreshadowing anything :)
Note how Billy doesn't mention the Monastery in their choices, maybe it's what "the students" was supposed to be, or it's to sell a certain later choice?
(But then Supreme Leader adds that if the World and the Students were to fight, no matter what side Billy would pick, it'd still mean he fights for both so...)
#in a way it's fun to see Pat try to erase or round the edges of some characters#either to make the twist not that obvious or to make them more sympathic for his audience#damn the 'why did you become a lizard???' killed me lol#Called it#but Hubbie never gaf about Billy bar Billy being his liege's new obsession#a certain fic has been tackling the relationship between Billy and those two in Tru Piss#especially the ugly things only hinted like Billy being part lizard and what that means for those two#note that Supreme Leader later only mentions the world and the students and no mention of the monastery lol#it's already a given that she will destroy it#or maybe she doesn't want to hear Billy say they will side with the inhuman beasts who are masquerading as humans?#poor Supreme Leader#lolcalisation woes#Pat tried his best but FE16's Supreme Leader is pretty radical#in her views about nabatean people so...

IF I HAD A NICKEL EVERYTIME I WANTED TO BE FRIENDS WITH A DUO OF CHARACTERS FROM A HORROR GAME, ONE BEING HUMANOID AND THE OTHER BEING A MONSTER WITH SHARP TEETH-
#i don't know what clicked in my brain but now everytime i see the doc i just think “DOC!!!!!!!!!!” and get the urge to tackle hug him :D#i'm just picturing him like “oh god not you again” rolling his eyes with a smile and holding his arms out#HEAR ME OUT. ARTIC DEALER AND DOC ALL BECOMING FRIENDS#something something dealer and doc realizing how close they've been this whole time through their relations with artic#there's this one scene in my head where artic runs out into the pine forest outside the club#collapsing into a mess of dirt and blood and tears as she's forced to come to terms with the past that she came here to forget#for most of my s/is the lavender hair is natural but here i like to think it's dyed and her hair is naturally brown#and the dye's been slowly fading as a visual representation of her gradually remembering things#the doc eventually finds its body. and assuming it's unconscious he admits to himself that despite coming off as stoic most of the time#or acting like it's a nuisance#he does genuinely like having her around. thinking back to that time she told him she died and came back#except artic did in fact hear all of that and lets out a weak chuckle or goes “...really?” scaring the shit out of doc gjshdkf#and for a while they just. sit and talk. the sky is blue and the birds are chirping. life goes on.#and eventually he helps artic up and they head to that cornerstore to get something to eat#and later she re-dyes her hair! something something a renewed sense of self after processing things ouo#i also like to think an optional part of artic's design is a knee brace? it doesn't need one all the time#but sometimes its left knee feels weirdly loose so it's just nice to have#dancing with the devil#my nonsense
