does your Bruce banner alter ever think about his source? - Loki (Mcu alter)

speaking on behalf of (in-sys) Bruce because he’s shy abt talking to friends,

what’s weird about Bruce is that he’s a partial introject. which means that he was brainmade, BUT when we encountered Bruce Banner, he was like, “oh my God, this guy is so relatable, many IRL details match up too” … so now he lives in the headspace as Bruce Banner ! (it’s actually crazy how similar the body is to the Banner System in terms of background info and interests…) in addition, he has the most detailed view of the inner world, and it’s like, really bizarre because there’s a whole part of the inner world that’s just . Marvel !!! and he spends most of his time there and when he fronts, he often misses his friends (they’re basically like, imaginary friends)

trauma basically had us, especially Bruce, create various perfect inner worlds to escape to that couldn’t harm us unlike the real world - like a utopia 😞

so to answer ur question, technically he does ! he’s soooo attached… like, there’s no separation .

Bruce is very silly guys >.< my best friend <3 he’s a goofy goofy guy . I wish he talked to more ppl bc he’s a pleasure to be around ^_^

wait, i'm actually genuinely curious.. is anybody else really good friends with some of their alters? cause me and a lot of my alters are really, really good friends. especially me and an alter named Roxy and does anyone else have a unique headspace? cause mine is a house- and i have never heard of anyone being able to mimic eating, drinking and sleeping in their headspace-

What is it like to be a system? How did you discover you were a system?

Hi! No worries on being offensive. We love answering questions about it (besides like the obvious like what's your trauma).

It's a really funny story actually. I came out as gender-fluid in 9th grade cuz I sometimes felt like a girl, boy, gender less, or generally anything in between.

My therapist starting doing parts work with me because around that time flashbacks suddenly started showing up and they hadn't before. Some of my most distinct alters, the smallest little and my persecutor were easiest to spot. I'd kind of sensed them before but pushed it away.

Honestly for us it's really tough. It's lovely to have friends and an internal support system but the memory loss (don't know what happened clearly for like all of my life) fucking sucks. Also dysphoria and emotional turmoil can kind of bleed between alters into headspace (which we may or may not have stolen the layout from inside out).

Also, we didn't get that that movie was a metaphor. Like, most people don't have constant chatter in their head that contradicts them.

Another reason we figured out we were a system would be stuff like incongruent dysphoria (a trans alter wishing they had the parts that the body actually has and then getting happy) or being confused by height or other parts of body.

But yeah, if you have any other questions, ask away. Also, I’m going to be turning back on anon asks if you want or need it (was getting some hate there and went nope say it to my face).

I was curious about this but how do people with DID feel about Tira from soul calibur? She's a murderer with DID both personalities of her are killers and her backstory involves her snapping and murdering her adoptive family, personally I think she's most likely horrible rep for DID since I'm aware that people who have it aren't too fond of murderous characters with the disorder.

Edit: I would also like to add her whole character is just insanity and murdering kind of like genocide Jill from Danganronpa

It's like we all collectively forgot as a society that friendship and just connection in general takes effort. Even if you meet someone you immediately click with, it takes hanging out about 20 times (!) to become friends. And guess what, some of those 20 meetings might be awkward or unimpressive.

We all want to reap the benefits (having a friend circle, having a partner, getting married) without doing the work (going to events, interacting with people, learning to handle conflict maturely, dating). Myself included. If I could, I'd never leave the house or go on another mediocre date again... except, that's part of the process.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the cure to the loneliness epidemic is touching some grass and building tolerance for tedious in-person interactions.

Anyway, thinking about how Bruce’s mom tendencies bleed over around the League.

He pulls out a Barbie pink scrunchie from his endless utility belt.

Oliver is very sure he’s seen it in Spoiler’s blonde mane before. He wordlessly secures Diana’s hair in a ponytail before she jumps into battle.

Barry skins his knee while running, which, considering, is pretty severe. Definitely not the kind of wound you can treat with Gray Ghost bandages.

“I’m NEVER taking this off.”

“Okay, gross?”

“Shut up, Hal, you don’t even wash your suit, you just make a new one every time!”

“I���m allergic to laundry detergent, everybody knows that, BARRY.”

Bruce does not tolerate their fighting for more than 15 minutes at a time. “I will count to 3.”

Hal is quite literally flabbergasted when, after a particularly rough mission, Batman walks over to him and gently places a plate of fruits before him.

“Hal,” in that rain soft voice. “Fruit.”

“…Thanks?”

He just walks off. Like it’s nothing.

“…Did he just do something nice for me? Everybody saw that, right? You’re all witnesses. “

Everyone’s equal parts shocked and equal parts losing their shit. Clark’s eyes are just slightly red.

Everybody NEEDS to listen to the new Wild Life retrospective on Imp and Skizz's podcast. They got Grian called in and they give so many cool insights into the series (and honestly say so many things I think people need to hear)

Highlights for me:

Grian designed each wild card to be weaponized and wanted everyone to take advantage of them. He goes over each individually and all the thought he put into them and all the work the backend team put into their execution. He's rightfully really proud of them. Him gushing about Trivia Bot and how excited he was to show his friends the "coolest snail ever" is particularly sweet.

Skizz says discovering each wild card was a LOT of fun. He says something like "I can't believe as an adult I get to have so much fun." Impulse is really impressed with the execution of each, citing stuff like making it rain when the time one activated and the passive mobs spawning in before being replaced, and how the little details like that built excitement and tension.

Grian says how he understands that some viewers maybe just want more seasons of the essentially the same series, ie six seasons of just Third Life, but it's more important to him that the Lifers get to experience something new and fresh. He also doesn't like comparing each series, preferring to consider each one as its own thing.

Impulse can't wait to do another Life series, Skizz is equally excited but tries to hold discussion about it back since he doesn't want anyone pressuring Grian, who is palpably burned out. Like, you can hear how tired this man is. Grian says there will probably be more series since everyone is still enjoying it, but he's not trying to outdo himself and not to expect him to keep escalating.

Skizz always tries to do something new each season yet feels like he always falls back into the same habits and dynamics, but not this time: he feels like he got to explore a new dynamic with the Spanners and had a blast doing it. He and Grian gush about how much fun they had with their "big brother trying to keep his little brothers alive" routine.

They have a grand time making fun of Impulse and his "Sweats". Impulse is unabashedly still hungry to win a series.

Impulse didn't want to kill zombie Skizz, because of the five minute cooldown, but Skizz makes clear that he was really happy with being a zombie, even if there was a lot of doing nothing in between summons. He says it means a lot to him that he got to help with the burden of facilitating the series, even just a little bit.

Grian gives good insight into his personal life strategy: he does some things to deliberately test his relationship with other players. Standing in the Danger Zone was a trust exercise, testing Jimmy and Scar. Jimmy and Scar failed.

Despite Scar failing the trust exercise, Grian heard the disappointment in Scar's voice about the Snail Bot thing and immediately caved, but he's really happy that it led them to in-canon reconciling and becoming strong allies again.

Grian's favorite moment was making Jimmy pay for the failed trust exercise by blowing up the bunker, particularly pleased with his one liner of "it was always gonna be like this". He says Wild Life as a whole has been the most enjoyable series for him, even though he didn't get to have as much fun as the other players due to knowing all the wild cards.

All three of them gush over the scene of everybody failing to kill Joel as he teleports around, laughing about how it was straight out of a movie or an anime. Impulse feels like Joel took his superpower to a new level, but Grian reminds him the he didn't have an army chasing him around trying to kill him. They're all super impressed with how the finale turned out.

Some of the powers were assigned (Cleo, BigB, BDubs, Scar, Lizzie), some were random (Impulse, Martyn). Some were based on players' names, others on their personal narratives, but coming up with ~16 different powers without including any that would just be exploited for cheap instakills was really difficult, which is why there were so many espionage ones. Hilariously, Grian was hoping Scar would accidentally kill Jimmy by punching him off a cliff because of their ritual of trying punching in the earlier episodes. He also gave Scar that power because he knew Scar wouldn't feel bad about killing people with it.

Grian chose to give himself the mimic so he could show people how their powers worked if he needed to, and so that it wasn't given to somebody else who'd have to spend the whole session figuring out the mechanics of 15 separate superpowers and potentially dying because of it. And because he thinks its the coolest one and he wanted it (lol)

All around there's tons of fun details and stuff in this episode of the podcast and absolutely everybody should listen to it all the way through.

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.
