just want everyone to know that i am irrevocably maternity pantspilled, i don't understand why they don't manufacture normal trouser bands like this. it is so fucking logical. our guts expand and contract all day.
Tumblr media
i bought these the other day for general low-stress wear (they are a nice and gender neutral shape, up to size 20w us for these ones) and i am already buying another pair. sitting in every other type of trouser causes extreme nerve pain as the band digs in except this. i now can sit in a chair and know peace. if you have nerve damage or endo/pcos/etc or IBS bloating or just fucking hate the feeling of bands digging into your waist this is it. i am telling you. grabbing you by the shoulders and shaking you. ignore the branding and get ready for all your ads to think you are expecting, try the damn pants, and join me in peace.

//Gonna try easing myself back in. It’s been a rough go of it the last two weeks so I might be slow and only do minimal interaction but I’ll try. Feel free to send stuff in!

its like so fucked to me that PCOS is almost always diagnosed in middle aged women bc of fertility issues unless the person in question has a very obvious and severe case or lobbies their doctor at length about it. this would not be so upsetting to me if PCOS didn't massively increase your risk of developing type 2 diabetes in a way that is largely preventable! or if PCOS didn't make it damn near impossible to lose weight, meaning many people have their symptoms dismissed be it for other health problems or PCOS symptoms themselves over something they have next to no control over.

Various characters in fanfics: Pregnancy is so magical, I can't wait to carry this baby!!!
Me, having seen my co-worker have to take treatment/eat a special diet to combat her gestational diabetes, my leg veins currently killing me from progesterone so who the hell knows what it would be like if I ever actually were pregnant:

Managing diabetes during pregnancy with insulin is crucial to ensure the health of both the mother and the baby. Proper insulin therapy can help control blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of complications, such as premature birth and birth defects.

The rest of my day went better. After lunch it was 125 and after dinner it was 138 so all under the goal of 140. Tomorrow I’m going to have the same thing for breakfast to see if I get the same results. Also I’m up to 14 on my insulin, im hoping I’ll be under 100 in the morning.

getting a bit frustrated with my ob. they want my blood sugar levels to be close to non diabetic numbers and I don't think they realize how difficult it is to manually achieve the job that your organ should be doing for you, esp when pregnancy has reduced your insulin absorption and increased insulin resistance

let's see if CVS has my damn insulin ready. I love that the doc was like "I'd like you to start it tonight" on FRIDAY lmao and it's now Tuesday and I still don't have it. I'll be on insulin for maybe 3 weeks before i give birth. that's probably not even enough time to really get a grasp on what dose is gonna help. jfc.
